  1. Here it is, the thread you use to request a new nominee. If someone is not nominated and you want to consider voting for them, you will reply to this thread with two things. 1) A small paragraph (3-5 sentences) that lay out their basic case. 2) A list of three recommended matches (with links if possible). A new nomination thread will be created, if one doesn't exist, with that info provided. The matches will be added to the Google Docs of Recommended Matches. Enjoy.
  2. Here is the google doc that anyone can edit. It's a list of all the nominees where anyone can drop match recommendations and view them. Feel free to go there to find matches to watch, or drop some links/recs for others to discover. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1rgl1utpEKF0EBGkV6HgfphF3ODzgceeV7ustiy7GkaM/edit If you haven't signed up for the mailing list, you can here. https://forms.gle/QB7JhkVKZdYC1kPYA Sign up for the discord for watch parties, here: https://discord.gg/2tqvKBK2WA
  3. 5 years later and Dump is probably making my list this time! Her in ring charisma and presence is a force of nature. Every Dump match is a spectacle and I love them! When she isn't just fucking around with a story driven beat people with weapons, she is an all time great brawler with some of the greatest matches ever against Chigusa. Plus she can really go in a normal match too. Her tag matches with Bull are out of this world too. I have yet to see anything post comeback, so we'll see if that hurts or helps her.

    Akira Hokuto

For 2026, this is my starting #1. I've been going through joshi very thoroughly and I'm at 1992, she's already feels like the greatest wrestler ever and has felt that way since maybe 1989 maybe 1990 at the latest. She has been in amazing stuff going back to her rookie year in 1986, so this she wasn't great until 93/94 is BS! What I love about watching her is all of the little things. The way she works submissions, always finding ways to make everything more vicious is a joy to watch. Add that to her making any single piece of offense feel like a finisher. It's really odd seeing her top rope dropkicks look like pure death in a promotion where Manami Toyota is there who is known for her dropkicks. Her selling is unreal too, some subtle stuff but a very realistic way of selling. Add the charisma and intensity, it's really hard to match her. I've seen the main matches from her prime, but it's been awhile, so I'll have a stronger case to come. I've recently seen her 2001 match against Meiko Satomura and that feels like one of the best matches I've ever seen too. The case for Hokuto being 92-94 is silly, she's an all time great for a LOT longer and I hope others start to consider her for #1!
  5. Fixed! You might need to reset your browser.
  6. I'll look into that.
  7. To clarify, everything is open! Post like crazy everyone! Just no new nominees for now, there is like 600 nominee threads all there, go wild!
  8. At this point, don't start any new nominations. That will be set up shortly, but enjoy everyone!

  10. MERCEDES MARTINEZ! She's top 50, maybe top 25, maybe even higher. From early in her career she's really good, and when I started watching her in 2016 she was the best in the world up until joining the WWE (She's really good still, but lacking opportunities). I have to fill in the gaps and there is more due to pregnancy and injuries and the way women were treated with lack of chances, but hot damn is she great. She took Tessa Blanchard to have an amazing 80 minute match. She has great matches with great workers and with green workers. She can brawl, be a technician, and some fun bomb throwing sprints. I'll create a full case when the 08-16 gap is filled.
  11. Well said.
  12. WON writer/voters always, since day 1, preferred more athletic stuff. Not shocking Brody > Hansen in their view. When I say voters, I don't mean every single one, but the majority.
  13. I spent like 2 years of my life running that thing, and then a LOT of work into tabulating and revealing the results. Having people shit all over things because some of the views didn't meet theirs is why I left PWO for almost 5 years. EDIT: Let's stop the gatekeeping and stop the "you are wrong if you disagree with me" black and white thinking BS and everything will be awesome.
  14. Where did I say that? I just praised differing opinions, and you took that as me saying everyone should just accept mass opinions. That's kind of the opposite of what I said. Whatever your opinion is, that is cool, let's discuss and debate it. If you are rational and after debating it, your opinion stays (whatever it is) that is completely cool. Even if that leads to Flair #1 or Flair #97 or Flair not voted for, I don't care. Let me repeat it, whatever your views are that is okay. Let's just discuss that, if you have good reasons then awesome, if you don't then maybe that will be exposed and we'll see where that goes.
  15. I find the opinion that wrestling peaked during your youth, and also that period is the best period ever a weird take.
  16. Differing opinions that are rational and not hateful are the fucking best.
  17. That was the first podcast I ever did. I am 2 billion percent more confident Bret > Flair today than back then.
  18. Flair is not in my top ten, Akira Hokuto is my #1 right now. If someone wants to vote Jon Moxley #1 that is fucking awesome, I want to hear their case from you. I will disagree and would love to debate that, but that's fucking cool and you are awesome.
  19. I still have one more section of the pod to record, but I will put it out Friday. Patient
  20. It's not dismissive of Jumbo, it's a statement on how insanely great Jaguar was.
  21. Akira Hokuto says hello.
  22. Yeah this is more of a taste thing, I could see the argument for sure.
  23. I watched prime Ishii, he's not on my radar at all. He's great, but there are more than 100 greater easily for me.
  24. I am not comfortable ranking someone using a series of matches I have never seen and assuming they are great.
  25. Look on your podcast feeds on Friday.
