After beating Flair at the ppv and thinking that TNA might actually be making a star, Jay Lethal This company is clueless.

That blowup doll ruining a match and Petey Williams wrestling after being slipped a laxative had to had been Russo.

I can't wait for more of this! -
On the Brian & Vinny Show, Brian mentioned how Todd Martin also finds the silver lining. Is he for real?

I'd have to go back and re-watch some stuff, but I remember really liking all of them. I forget which Judo (Martial Arts) match I liked the best. I think its the one where Muraco gets pissed that Steamboat takes the white coat, leaving Muraco to take the black one. Not the MSG one, but they had many and I forgot which. I believe the other one that really stood out was a Toronto match (I believe) that was very bloody. I haven't watched the whole series in years though. It may be my major Muraco-markdom that over-rates those matches, but I do love the bloody slow hatred matches that they had.

Ugh. I really didn't think the Orton match was all that great, and I've yet to see a watchable Steamer-Muraco match. Then you need to watch more Muraco-Steamboat matches because they are awesome. One of the best series of matches the WWF did during the 80's. I've never seen this particular match, but the rest of the series is so strong I can't imagine this not being really good. Especially when the prior month's MLG match being really good.

I've said the same thing about Christian for awhile.

How can you say this? Wasn't he the first ever triple crown champion in wwe? First ever grand slam champion? Triple crown - intercontinental, world and tag champ grand slam - intercontinental, world, european and tag champ Pedro Morales and Bret Hart both won the triple crown before Shawn.

Because only the top couple matches on the show draw, so why care about the undercard guys. I believe that is their philosophy.

I was lurking the TOA board recently and saw variations of this same post in a couple of threads. It's always intrigued me how people got into wrestling and how they've maintained that interest. Using the who, what, when, where and why format, tell your wrestling story. Who got you interested? What initially drew your interest and kept it? How old were you? Where did you live/attend first show/watch first TV episode? Why did you like and continue to like wrestling (or why not)? Use Etc. at the end to fill in any gaps. Who: My sister. When you have a sibling who is four years older than you, you definately want to be cool like them. Of course, she gave up wrestling shortly after, while I stuck around to this day. However, she got back into it two years ago and watches whenever Cena is on. What: GLOW! Like I said, it was with my sister. She'd get my dad to tape GLOW and watch it the next day. I'd watch with her and that was my start into watching pro-wrestling. I don't really remember anything from GLOW, but it was the gateway that allowed me to see the WWF and the Islanders stealing Matilda, which got me hooked. Format: Videotape, because GLOW was on too late.

This has to be leading somewhere doesn't it? Doesn't Jericho have to either win the Royal Rumble or win the Tag Titles back? Otherwise, what was the point of this?
-
So that means nobody has high levels of power, because Vince can veto things?
-
Since Bret has signed on through WrestleMania, it would mean the later.
-
I thought Bryan didn't follow sports and actually hated them, outside of MMA? That would explain it.
-
Yeah, and we would love to see Roger Ebert direct movies and music critics produce albums.... Being a reviewer does not mean they think they could do it better.

Of course star power and aura should be inlcuding in discussing how good a match is. If Cena and Taker do the exact same match as Abyss and Joey Ryan, which match is better. Even if it is move for move the same, Cena and Taker just would make the match cooler to watch. Just like having an insane crowd makes a match better than having a shitty crowd. If that wasn't counted, then Rock-Hogan from WM18 would not be remembered at all.

Come on it's a Roast! That isn't a stupid thing to write. I've never been to a roast, but if it is making fun of things like people's diseases then I wouldn't find it funny either. It is a stupid thing to write. If you were invited to a roast, wouldn't you (I dunno) find out how a roast worked before hand? Foley's part yes, but Meltzer's no. He said he's never been to one and if that is what they are like he wouldn't like it.

I don't think he realized Mick was retired at the time.

Actually I watched this and he stated he wanted to do something with Hall/Nash, but Hall wasn't on the roster of WCW at the time, so he couldn't. Also, Cornette did this in 4 hours for fun, its not as if he was really booking he wouldn't had put a LOT more work into it and made it so much better.

Yeah, Punk in a suit is out of character. It's not as if he is Ric Flair or somebody.
