  1. 27. Jun Akiyama I have him at #47. I probably should have had him higher on my list. 26. Akira Taue It's amazing Taue ended up at #26 again. He is #20 on my list, by the way. The first of the Four Pillars to show up in the list.
  2. 34. Chris Benoit I have him at #56. Don't care much for his WWE work though. 33. Ricky Morton I have him at #52. I probably should have had him in my top 50. 32. Dustin Rhodes He's in my top 150. I enjoy his early '90s work in WCW and his first run as Goldust in WWF in late '95/early '96 was very good. 31. Shawn Michaels I have him at #87. I have placed him significantly lower than I did in 2006 and ironically he finished higher in the overall rankings this time. 30. John Cena Didn't rank him. 29. El Hijo del Santo I have him at #42. He's great and he participated in great matches, but there are seven Mexican wrestlers I ranked higher. 28. Bobby Eaton He's my #45. It's great to see he got on 128 ballots. While nobody apparently feels he's a top 10 worker, most seem to agree he's a top 50 worker and that got him a nice well-deserved placement on the overall list. 5 days to go... 75 wrestlers that are in my top 100 have appeared in the final results so far... 25 wrestlers of my top 100 haven't appeared in the final results yet... 3. 40. Yoshiaki Fujiwara I have him at #38. 39. AJ Styles I didn't rank him. 38. Mick Foley Have him at #84. I enjoy his runs in WCW, ECW and IWA Japan as Cactus Jack. Even his WWF run as Mankind is fun. 37. Satanico I have him at #13. One of the three greatest Mexican wrestlers ever, in my opinion. 36. Buddy Rose He's my #23. His work in Portland during the late 1970s and early 1980s is tremendous. 35. El Dandy He's my #33. 70 wrestlers that are in my top 100 have appeared in the final results so far... 30 wrestlers of my top 100 haven't appeared in the final results yet... 4. I think the overall list is pretty great so far and I look forward to the revealing of the top 40. Even though I didn't consider voting for wrestlers like Brock Lesnar, CM Punk, AJ Styles and Kurt Angle for my list, I can understand why people voted for them. In the end there wasn't any wrestler that was on all ballots anyway, so I guess it's part of the fun (if we all agreed, it would be boring). I don't see this project as something where we need to convince each other... I see it more as something where all of us are together taking part in a learning process and yet at the same time can still have different opinions from each other. There's no right or wrong. As long as you've had fun participating in this project, I think you did your job. I've read several people say they are disappointed with the lack of joshi support. While I am a joshi fan and also secretly hoped there would be more joshi workers in the top 50, I knew that there probably wouldn't be as many joshi in the top 50 as I'd have liked. It's a shame Aja Kong is the only joshi worker in the top 50, but joshi puroresu is a lot less appreciated now than in 2006. There were 8 joshi workers in the top 50 in 2006. However, don't forget that Smarkschoice forum had more joshi fans in general. And, if I recall correctly, they had just done a greatest women's wrestler ever poll prior to the big 2006 GWE poll... so maybe that helped getting more women on the list as well. I could be wrong about this though. Even though joshi is more out of fashion than ever nowadays (especially 90s joshi has seemingly been on the receiving-end of a huge backlash), I still think it's an interesting subgenre. Since there are several people who feel that joshi should get a bit more attention and since there hasn't been any significant focus on joshi in ages, does anyone think something like a Greatest Joshi Ever poll would be helpful? That will possibly reduce the feeling among joshi fans that joshi hasn't been given a fair chance by the majority and it will possibly give everyone a better view of where joshi stands for them in the big picture of it all. Also, it will help seeing the importance of several joshi workers within the history of joshi (while they kind of got lost in the shuffle in this big GWE poll). And by revisiting joshi workers like Manami Toyota, Akira Hokuto and Kyoko Inoue (etc.), I guess I will find out if I have overrated them and my opinion is based on nostalgia bias or if my opinion will still stand and it will become clear my opinion wasn't affected by the joshi backlash. I know people have been re-watching joshi these past couple of years and several people have watched joshi from the Yearbooks (and I am one of those people), but I think it will be interesting to see how the top joshi workers are viewed within the confines of a joshi project. Just for the record, I have 14 joshi in my top 100 and 8 of them are in my top 50. By the way... I'm curious how well workers from the emerging North American women's (indy) scene will do in 2026. Since there appears to be a growing interest in the new wave of North American women's wrestling in some corners of the Internet... maybe we will see workers like Sara Del Rey, Madison Eagles, Athena, Kimber Lee, Candice LeRae, Portia Perez and Nicole Matthews (and whatever new talent will have debuted before 2026) getting votes? Maybe not.
  5. 50. Billy Robinson In my top 200. 49. Aja Kong. I had her at #37. 48. Fit Finlay In my top 200. 47. Brock Lesnar Didn't rank him. 46. CM Punk Didn't rank him. 45. Harley Race I had him at #25. 44. Tully Blanchard I had him at #67. 43. Rick Martel I had him at #26. 42. Ted DiBiase I had him at #43. His Mid-South work is great and the main reason I ranked him in my top 50, but I like his Million Dollar Man run too. 41. Riki Choshu In my top 200. Less than 7 days to go... 65 wrestlers that are in my top 100 have appeared in the final results so far... 35 wrestlers of my top 100 haven't appeared in the final results yet... 6. 55-51 feature five wrestlers in a row that were on my list... 55. Curt Hennig I had him at #50. He ranked #45 in the overall rankings in 2006. 100 people voted for him this time. I think that's "absolutely Perfect." 54. Greg Valentine I had him at #32. It's amazing to see he was ranked at number 170 in 2006 in the overall rankings and is now 116 places higher in the overall rankings. It's a good thing though. 53. Dick Murdoch I had him at #11. Probably the 4th greatest American pro wrestler ever, in my opinion. 52. Akira Hokuto I had her at #30. Her 1993 (and 1992) was great and even though her 1993 was better than many people's entire career, her lack of longevity makes it hard to rank her over great wrestlers who had a longer peak. 51. Andre the Giant I had him at #94. Interesting to see that Andre is now 113 places higher in the overall rankings, compared to his 2006 overall ranking. I don't think I could have a top 100 without Andre, but I also don't think I could rank him much higher than #94. He was great during his prime though. I personally like his early 1980s stuff the best. He was really good in the 1970s too. But, as much as I don't want to think about it, it's hard not to think about how much lesser in quality his 1985-1991 was when he became increasingly less mobile (even though he got the most out of his matches, I guess). Either way, I mostly rated him based on his 1972-1984 work.
  7. I had Bull Nakano at #10. I wonder if I'm overrating 1990s joshi stuff or if it's simply "out of fashion" to like 1990s joshi. A bit of both, I guess. I almost was the high vote on her, but Bill Thompson apparently ranked her at #9. I had Owen Hart at #39. I almost wanted to rank him higher, but I reminded myself this is not a favourite wrestlers list... so I couldn't justify ranking him over the 38 wrestlers I ranked higher. I'm happy his mid to late 1990s heel run in WWF is also appreciated by others here. 8 more days to go... 55 wrestlers that are in my top 100 have appeared in the final results so far... 45 wrestlers of my top 100 haven't appeared in the final results yet... (that means 9 of the 54 wrestlers still to come are not on my list) ... #8 Masa Fuchi [#111] (high vote: #8) #9 Sangre Chicana [#95] (high vote: #9) #10 Bull Nakano [#61] ... #12 Dick Togo [#71] (high vote: #12) ... #14 Chigusa Nagayo [#110] #15 Fuerza Guerrera [#155] (high vote: #15) #16 Giant Baba [#63] ... #18 Manami Toyota [#89] ... #24 Dynamite Kid [#78] ... #27 L.A. 8. I had Shinjiro Ohtani at #63. I had Sgt. Slaughter at #51. He's arguably the best bumper ever. Good to see that 87 people in total voted for him. I had Giant Baba #16. 9 more days to go... 53 wrestlers that are in my top 100 have appeared in the final results so far... 47 wrestlers of my top 100 haven't appeared in the final results yet... 9. I had Brian Pillman at #59. I'm happy with his ranking. If this was a favourite wrestlers list, he would be even higher on my list. I had Dick Togo at #12 (high vote). He's someone who's work I've learned to appreciate more and more over the years. Random thought... I wonder if Shinjiro Ohtani will rank anywhere near his 2006 final ranking of #27 this time around...
  10. I had Steve Williams at #64, Tito Santana at #70, Dynamite Kid at #24, Hulk Hogan at #80 and Atlantis at #54. Tajiri and Jericho are probably in my top 150. Gordy, Rude and Hase are probably in my top 200. 10 more days to go... 49 wrestlers that are in my top 100 have appeared in the final results so far... 51 wrestlers of my top 100 haven't appeared in the final results yet... ... #8 Masa Fuchi [#111] (high vote) #9 Sangre Chicana [#95] (high vote) ... #14 Chigusa Nagayo [#110] #15 Fuerza Guerrera [#155] (high vote) ... #18 Manami Toyota [#89] ... #24 Dynamite Kid [#78] ... #27 L.A. 11. 2 Cold Scorpio... He probably should have been included in my top 100. He's now like my #102 or so. If I ever update my list again, he will probably be in the top 100. Atsushi Onita... I had him at #95 Manami Toyota... She's my #18, which is possibly too high... I should probably re-evaluate her work at some point Roddy Piper... Good to see him this high on the list... I had him at #97 That means 44 wrestlers that are in my top 100 have appeared in the final results so far... 56 wrestlers of my top 100 haven't appeared in the final results yet... ... #8 Masa Fuchi [#111] (high vote) #9 Sangre Chicana [#95] (high vote) ... #14 Chigusa Nagayo [#110] #15 Fuerza Guerrera [#155] (high vote) ... #18 Manami Toyota [#89] ... #27 L.A. 12. Virus and the Destroyer are not on my list, but they are definitely in my top 150... maybe they will make it to my top 100 next time. I briefly considered Dusty Rhodes at some point, but I'm actually not sure if he would even make my top 150 (he would definitely be somewhere in my top 200 though). Kerry Von Erich is my #74 L.A. Park is my #27 Sangre Chicana is my #9 (high vote) I have only 59 wrestlers left that haven't appeared in the final results so far... 41 wrestlers that are in my top 100 have appeared in the final results so far... ... #8 Masa Fuchi [#111] (high vote) #9 Sangre Chicana [#95] (high vote) ... #14 Chigusa Nagayo [#110] #15 Fuerza Guerrera [#155] (high vote) ... #27 L.A. 13. Christian is someone I would probably have in my top 200, but I don't have him in my top 100. The big star at #101 is possibly Dusty Rhodes or the Rock... I was wrong with my prediction of #102 so I'll just wait and see... I hope it's not Hogan, because I think he deserves to be in the top 100.
  14. Carlos Colon did really well this time, especially considering only 2 people voted for him in 2006. I was one of the 56 people who voted for him this time... I had him at #96. I think Zayn and Dusty are #102 and #101...
  15. Has Mil Mascaras dropped yet? Mil Mascaras was #244 in the final results. Pirata Morgan, Great Sasuke, Jaguar Yokota, Masa Fuchi and Chigusa Nagayo are all on my list. I was the high vote on Masa Fuchi... I had him at #8. I have only 63 wrestlers left that haven't appeared in the final results so far... 37 wrestlers that are in my top 100 have appeared in the final results so far... ... #8 Masa Fuchi [#111] (high vote) ... #14 Chigusa Nagayo [#110] #15 Fuerza Guerrera [#155] (high vote) ... #28 Mr. Gannosuke [#277] (high vote) ... #31 Mayumi Ozaki [#133] ... #36 Jaguar Yokota [#114] ... #41 La Fiera [#164] ... #48 El Samurai [#212] (high vote) #49 Kyoko Inoue [#217] ... #53 Tsuyoshi Kikuchi [#148] ... #55 Great Sasuke [#116] ... #57 Yumi Ikeshita [#384] ... #60 TAKA Michinoku [#180] ... #62 Shinobu Kandori [#146] ... #65 Dynamite Kansai [#125] #66 Dan Kroffat [#254] ... #69 Perro Aguayo [#140] ... #71 Bison Kimura [#420] #72 Devil Masami [#135] #73 Cuty Suzuki [#385] ... #75 Dennis Condrey [#199] #76 Pirata Morgan [#117] #77 Super Astro [#283] #78 Leo Burke [#296] #79 Jinsei Shinzaki [#400] ... #82 Masato Tanaka [#175] #83 Javier Cruz [#502] (high vote/only vote) ... #85 Psicosis [#183] ... #88 Marty Jannetty [#272] #89 Espectrito [#370] #90 Masa Saito [#160] #91 Sabu [#149] #92 Scott Steiner [#162] #93 Jacques Rougeau [#339] ... #98 Stan Lane [#260] #99 Big Boss Man [#171] #100 Ron Starr [#403]
  16. I am the high vote on Fuerza Guerrera (he is my #15). Sabu, Tsuyoshi Kikuchi, Shinobu Kandori, Perro Aguayo, Devil Masami, Mayumi Ozaki and Dynamite Kansai are all on my list too. I have only 68 wrestlers left that haven't appeared in the final results so far... six of them of joshi workers... 32 wrestlers that are in my top 100 have appeared in the final results so far... ... #15 Fuerza Guerrera [#155] (high vote) ... #28 Mr. Gannosuke [#277] (high vote) ... #31 Mayumi Ozaki [#133] ... #41 La Fiera [#164] ... #48 El Samurai [#212] (high vote) #49 Kyoko Inoue [#217] ... #53 Tsuyoshi Kikuchi [#148] ... #57 Yumi Ikeshita [#384] ... #60 TAKA Michinoku [#180] ... #62 Shinobu Kandori [#146] ... #65 Dynamite Kansai [#125] #66 Dan Kroffat [#254] ... #69 Perro Aguayo [#140] ... #71 Bison Kimura [#420] #72 Devil Masami [#135] #73 Cuty Suzuki [#385] ... #75 Dennis Condrey [#199] ... #77 Super Astro [#283] #78 Leo Burke [#296] #79 Jinsei Shinzaki [#400] ... #82 Masato Tanaka [#175] #83 Javier Cruz [#502] (high vote) ... #85 Psicosis [#183] ... #88 Marty Jannetty [#272] #89 Espectrito [#370] #90 Masa Saito [#160] #91 Sabu [#149] #92 Scott Steiner [#162] #93 Jacques Rougeau [#339] ... #98 Stan Lane [#260] #99 Big Boss Man [#171] #100 Ron Starr [#403]
  17. Dennis Condrey, Psicosis, TAKA Michinoku, Masato Tanaka, Big Boss Man, La Fiera, Scott Steiner and Masa Saito are all in my top 100. It's amazing someone has Scott Steiner at #1. I have him at #92, by the way. 24 wrestlers that are in my top 100 have appeared in the final results so far... ... #28 Mr. Gannosuke [#277] (high vote) ... #41 La Fiera [#164] ... #48 El Samurai [#212] (high vote) #49 Kyoko Inoue [#217] ... #57 Yumi Ikeshita [#384] ... #60 TAKA Michinoku [#180] ... #66 Dan Kroffat [#254] ... #71 Bison Kimura [#420] ... #73 Cuty Suzuki [#385] ... #75 Dennis Condrey [#199] ... #77 Super Astro [#283] #78 Leo Burke [#296] #79 Jinsei Shinzaki [#400] ... #82 Masato Tanaka [#175] #83 Javier Cruz [#502] (high vote) ... #85 Psicosis [#183] ... #88 Marty Jannetty [#272] #89 Espectrito [#370] #90 Masa Saito [#160] ... #92 Scott Steiner [#162] #93 Jacques Rougeau [#339] ... #98 Stan Lane [#260] #99 Big Boss Man [#171] #100 Ron Starr [#403]
  18. I kind of regret not having Tommy Rogers in my top 100 (I guess I consider him now my unofficial #101), but there's always the tag team list anyway. Speaking of great tag team wrestlers... Stan Lane and Dan Kroffat are in my top 100. Also, Kyoko Inoue is on my list. I was the high vote on El Samurai. That means 16 wrestlers that are on my ballot have shown up in the results so far. ... #28 Mr. Gannosuke [#277] (high vote) ... #48 El Samurai [#212] (high vote) #49 Kyoko Inoue [#217] ... #57 Yumi Ikeshita [#384] ... #66 Dan Kroffat [#254] ... #71 Bison Kimura [#420] ... #73 Cuty Suzuki [#385] ... #77 Super Astro [#283] #78 Leo Burke [#296] #79 Jinsei Shinzaki [#400] ... #83 Javier Cruz [#502] (high vote) ... #88 Marty Jannetty [#272] #89 Espectrito [#370] ... #93 Jacques Rougeau [#339] ... #98 Stan Lane [#260] ... #100 Ron Starr [#403]
  19. I was the high vote on Mr. Gannosuke. I had him at #28. Twelve wrestlers off my list have shown up in the final results so far... ... #28 Mr. Gannosuke [#277] (high vote) ... #57 Yumi Ikeshita [#384] ... #71 Bison Kimura [#420] ... #73 Cuty Suzuki [#385] ... #77 Super Astro [#283] #78 Leo Burke [#296] #79 Jinsei Shinzaki [#400] ... #83 Javier Cruz [#502] (high vote) ... #88 Marty Jannetty [#272] #89 Espectrito [#370] ... #93 Jacques Rougeau [#339] ... #100 Ron Starr [#403]
  20. I considered voting for Goto. He just missed out. He would have definitely been in my top 150. Super Delfin receiving a #11 vote is amazing. I've been a Delfin mark for about twenty years, but I didn't even vote for him this time. I think he's a very good wrestler, but I just don't see him as a GOAT contender. I would have included him on my list if this was a favourite wrestlers list, of course. I had Jacques Rougeau at #93. That means eight wrestlers I voted for have appeared in the final results so far.
  21. Good to see five others voted for Espectrito I. I had him at #89. Seven wrestlers from my top 100 in the final results so far.
  22. I had Cuty Suzuki at #73 and Yumi Ikeshita at #57. Good to see others voted for Cuty Suzuki too this time. In total six wrestlers I voted for have shown up in the final results so far.
  23. Good to see I wasn't the only one voting for Bison Kimura. Ron Starr was my #100. I had Jinsei Shinzaki at #79.
