  1. He wrapped Mr. Socko in barbed wire and put it in Lita's mouth
  2. Lita and Trish have both bled hardway before
  3. That's too broad a statement.
  4. The five moves of doom?
  5. Watching the 97 Nitros, Scott Hall is guilty of this, since he's a heel who basically acts like someone who the crowd should cheer. And the only one who seems to stand up to the nWo is Larry Zybysko!
  6. HBK was supposed to come back the RAW where Shane bought WCW (a week before X-7) but got cut for time constraints. He was then supposed to show up the Smackdown! before X-7, but showed up messed up, Taker-HHH was already in the works the Smackdown! after No Way Out
  7. 1) It was known he was undefeated in 2001- I remember they first mentioned it at Wrestlemania XI in fact. Of course, it's not as bad as today, which is why I hate the streak. 2) But it's the Undertaker, and they were also turning Austin that night. 3) When he came back as Biker Taker, he was billed as being from Houston. I'm still curious whether HBK costing Taker the match is true
  8. And X-7 was in his hometown of Houston. That's why I call BS, was curious if anyone knew
  9. How are you buddy? Long time reader of your colums. Really like the setup you have now. I was reading through some old posts and I saw you mention that Shawn Michaels was supposed to do the JOB to The Undertaker at Wrestlemania 2000 but HHH had to take his place because Shawn was to messed up to perform. I seemed to have missed this at the time time and was wondering if you could elaborate more on the topic as I thought Shawn had no thoughts of performing between basically Wrestlemania 14 and Summerslam 2002. It was Wrestlemania X-7, actually, and Shawn wasn’t going to wrestle, he was going to interfere and give HHH the win over Undertaker. Then he showed up in no condition to do much of anything and the result was changed to punish HHH, who had basically gone to Vince and vouched for Shawn’s sobriety. Is that true? I always thought HBK would cost HHH the match at X-7 leading to a feud.
  10. I skimmed some of the book. The amount of errors and mistakes is astounding. I thought of compiling a list and sending them to him, it's really that bad. And yep, a lot of the book is just c-n-ped from Buzz on Pro Wrestling
  11. I think they keep her in the wheelchair because it's an easy heat magnet.
  12. I don't get that one- how does that make him look stupid? The buried thing, not his Benoit quote.
  13. What's Dave been saying at the board? And tweener Lex rocked it
  14. Meltzer said they were close to future endeavoring him, but I think Jim Burnett helped save his job as well. I could be totally wrong, but I remember him saying something like that
  15. I don't know, when I saw Nakajima hit the German suplex last night, I didn't really think of Benoit murdering his family. I was just enjoying the match and the show. And to go along with what Phil said, I didn't know it was his finisher either.
  16. I know this is usually Bix's job, but I like how a move that was a major contributor to one guy's brain getting so dinged up that he murdered his family, and another guy's brain getting so dinged up that...well...that he became Kurt Angle, is apparently not a convincing finishing maneuver to the smarkiest of all possible smark fans. That's a pretty stupid statement. WWE conditioned fans that one German Suplex is not a believeable finisher. Guys have taken 10 of them in a row and been able to continue a match and even win it.
  17. Yea, I was going to point out how it always bothers me when he'll be just rip a match to shreds and then give it ***
  18. Does anyone have a link to Todd Martin's infamous review? I'd love to read it
  19. I think Scott's reviews are a good reference point if you're watching an old show (just in terms of star ratings and what to look for) but the fact that he's so flippant about all the facts he gets wrong bugs me. Someone emailed him once about all the stuff he had gotten wrong, and he just chalked it up to false rspw rumours
  20. The stuff he did after Jeff sneak-attacked him sounded like he was just having fun for the live crowd.
  21. I would say Lawler is the best WWE Superstar to never work a Mania
  22. In Meltzer's defence, I've never heard of Bob Mould, and I think most people know who Freddie Prinze is.
  23. I'm watching World Tour 96 on 24-7. What's the deal with the WWF going to Kuwait?
  24. Bash at the Beach is awesome. It's a fun show, with enough WCW crap plus an awesome main event and the shoot on Hogan
