Comments that don't warrant a thread - Part 3

Batista probably got more heel heat than Steph in that segment which is saying a lot these days. Maybe not but it was close "I have a feeling Steph has been drooled on before" "In fact I think Steph has been drooled on a lot before" Gold and lol at Orton rolling after the slap! These two have really been clicking here and have good chemistry with Hunter and Stephanie -

just looked at the rest of the pics of the Scooby Do premiere and obviously others have said this numerous times over the years but Steph still has puppy dog love for Hunter. That's after nearly 15 years of going out and 10 and a half years of marriage. I have to give that guy credit he's beyond smooth https://pbs.twimg.com/media/BjXXO0LIEAAq6k9.jpg -

I always saw the Raven character as the modern Gen Xer who thought he knew all the answers but in reality knew nothing. What's funny or ironic is that Scott Levy is probably a little bit too old to be considered part of Gen X. Born in 64 so he's close but I always saw it as people born in late 60s/early 70s
-
This is obviously a generalization but I'd imagine that anyone who enjoyed Raven in ECW will probably think Bray is fantastic. I loved the Raven character so the Wyatts intrigue me. I get the idea of all the pretentious stuff being spouted out with no meaning or depth but I've always been a sucker for those types. Jake was kinda like that in the 80s

Waylon Mercy was clearly based on DeNiro's character from Cape Fear, right down to the tropical Hawaiian type shirts. Wyatt I guess could be an offshoot of that, although he reminds me more of Charlie Manson
-
As many have pointed out Orton and Batista were hilarious last night. Orton had some great lines. "Take that back!" As a whole WWE comedy has been clicking lately. Probably because great comedy can come frustration and anger and I'd imagine that's what some backstage are feeling now
-
Someone at DVDVR mentioned that they basically had Hunter cut Bryan's "babyface journey" promo for him last night and he was great. It's not that .bryan is overtly terrible on the mic he just lacks the emotion and feelings of being screwed
-
It took her 15 years to become this good a performer and you can tell she's having the time if her life doing this. Something Loss mentioned when the company testified for Congress is that deep down she seems starved for attention. I ll bet she never wanted to really leave TV in the first place but if she didn't she might not have improved this much. Ido hope that they drop the faux corporate act with Hunter and Stephanie as it's pretty tough to go back to after the last couple weeks
-
Re watching and Hunter went out of his way to protect Bryan in that segment. Very careful with the bumps. Especially the slams on the announce table. Stephanie didn't really lay in the slaps like she used to either. Everyone was extra safe there
-
I do like how Triple and .Stephanie have reverted back to their McMahon Helmsley personas here complete with Stephanie talking in her screechy voice and getting turned on watching Hunter's beat down. You could see them doing that segment with Jericho 14 years ago. In fact it was very similar to how they set up the Undertaker match at wm 17 complete with fake cops. "You hit like a girl" killed me

Holy crap Bryan mocking Cena's wealth with Nikki and mocking her voice. This guy is so awesome on this show. I would pair him with Brie on TV. They really are great together, especially heeling Nikki tonight
-
Natalya is a horrible human being Eva Marie's dad is awesome need more Summer Rae
-
Holy Shit Bryan is an awesome heel on Total Divas. Trying to convince Nikki she would get mercury poison from eating salmon and then taunting her with baby booties to rub it in that Cena never wants to get married or have kids. Like Fandango he is probably better on the mic on this show then on the main ones

reported by Alvarez posted by Keith on his site

Scoot's blog via Alvarez: Vince still must have all the power because Trips and Steph are Punk haters right now
-
Nattie: "I got myself in trouble with Stephanie McMahon" Fandango: "What did you make out with her?" absolute gold. He's incredible on this show. With Summer Rae on now he'll probably get more time
-
Hunter's promo on SD was fantastic. I'd imagine Bryan is going to get beat down pretty badly on Monday. Probably have Stephanie kick him in the nuts or maybe the Outlaws are summoned
-
I don't know that story makes me like Vince more. The sharting story not burying JR. Also Meltz thinks Steph not mentioning Vince in her promo about her family history on Monday is a sign Vince is returning after Mania And watching SD and three Raw video packages less than a half hour in. I think they were happy with that show Monday
-
to show how much Stephanie has improved on the mic here are some promos where she was playing a derivative or prototype of her current character. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x14scfc_stephanie-mcmahon-slaps-steve-austin_sport Austin clearly adlibs and she has no idea where to go. Again you can see the similarities to the current character but it's far away from what she's doing now http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1q_CHPgd6I4 from her brief run as RAW GM. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zdBOP9rrrkI http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x112d0k_cm-punk-and-stephanie-mcmahon-backstage-8-15-2011_creation I had forgotten she was even involved in Summer of Punk. Again nothing special although you are seeing signs

News from WON: here are the top 5 guys the company will be focusing on after Mania: 1. John Cena 2. Daniel Bryan 3. Randy Orton 4. Sheamus 5. Roman Reigns Cena is the number one merch seller live and online. Bryan is number 2 live and 3 online (behind Punk). So who knows if Meltz was fed the line about his merch not selling or his new stuff is moving fast. the company wants Austin to appear at WM because they are planning a Big 4 merchandising bonanza with Warrior, Taker, Austin and Hogan. they are negotiating with Spike TV about returning. Obviously this would be potentially death for TNA
-
Yeah Meltz mentioned Cena getting the loudest reaction at MSG on the show yesterday. Shows the power of the medium as they do the opposite when the cameras are turned on And yeah The Rumble was a horrible day. To be honest they have rebounded quite nicely since. But that was a black eye for the company
-
Don't know how accurate this is but apparently the company was legitimately hurt by what Foley said after the Rumble and the weeks after and contacted him to see what was up and urged him to watch the story unfold. Maybe they were working him or something but I have no idea anymore. Again I can't wait to hear a shoot interview to see what the hell has been gong on backstage lately
-
Well they seemed to be focusing on the beard and goat stuff before that started
