Thought that was an effective segment. Obviously setting up the tag match. Bald Shawn is pretty terrifying
-
I actually think it had more heat than that Roman segment. That segment was obviously more important but this was just visceral hatred tonight. oh man Shawn and Taker have to follow that in the main event segment. There last segment was great but god damn...
-
Holy shit what incredible heat for Elias in that segment. Unbelievable. It was so much he almost broke. I can't rememember the last time a segment got so much (intended) heat. I think it had more than when Owens and Zayn beat down Bryan earlier this year

WWE TV 09/24 - 09/30 Is Palmeiras the greatest soccer team on Earth?

I'm sure most will think that was over the top but I thought Joe was pretty great there -

Lol at the announcers stil treating Becky as a heel despite the massive pop she got for beating up Charlotte. They don't have to have Becky start acting like a face or change her act at all but trying to get her booed is a lost cause. and r truth is fantastic. Love the pairing with Carmella. I hope they don't turn her back heel when the mmc is over. She's going to get over huge as a face imo. Crowd all ready chanting "Mella is Money". Raw is usually okay to solid but SD is so much damn fun now -

Dean was supposed to turn last year before he got hurt so I assume that's where this is headed -

I would agree that Steph should not be a weekly character at this point in her career. She's been around too long and It def. hurts her. She should be a special appearance type deal. like the Dean heel turn tease. and with Sasha hurt glad they are giving Bayley something to do. Finn isn't doing much either -
Actually they announced that stip several weeks ago. Like a bunch of us have said the story is right there if they want it. Miz beats Bryan at showdown, beats AJ for title, Bryan wins Rumble, Bryan beats Miz at mania for title. Right there.

Lio Rush is fantastic

yeah there are no Arn Anderson or Curt Hennig types who were kept strong in the undercard but always lost to the personality larger than life driven top stars. I think the last time they really had those types were Jericho and Benoit in 2000. Although I guess Christian pulled off that role in the modern sense and I guess Bryan was in that role from 2011-2013

Dave says Brock is going to wrestle at the next Saudi show

Brock v Roman v Braun at Survvor Series?
-
Was it ever reported *why* Punk went over in that match? I guess because he was set to feud with .Hunter and they wanted him strong as possible? But then this was the time period where he was being phased out of main events, he had been feuding with the Axel and Ryback types before this

Daniel Bryan as a star post-comeback: Pushes, Feuds, Matches and etc.
Strummer replied to KawadaSmile's topic in WWE
Yeah I don't think the fans would have turned on Bryan either. I think him getting squashed by Lesnar makes his fans even angrier and then WWE is once again caught in a spot on whether they change plans or not. They probably don't this time but it was another potential disaster -
What a tremendous, tremendous promo from Foley. He can still bring it out when he's motivated

WWE just announced Renee Young is now full time as Raw commentator. Coach is gone I guess. wait Coach now hosts the PPV pre shows
-
Kawada hinted at a point I agree with. They absolutely should push Reigns but one of my main problems is why does it have to be "or" and not "and" ?Just because they are pushing Roman as their top star does not mean they can't push anyone else. I mean it doesn't even have to be as strong as Roman but at least give it a shot. There are a bunch of upper midcarders that are more over than their push. That's what's kinda frustrating. I get not pushing the Ryders and Sandows even though they get reactions but the whole Ambrose/Rollins/Rusev etc, and maybe even Bryan could be pushed stronger regardless what you think of their talent level ( I know a lot of people are down on Seth and .Dean but they are over and the last list I saw they are both in top 5 merch sellers). so yeah I guess it's foolish to criticize wwe's business strategies but creating more stars can't possibly be bad for their bottom line, right?
-
This was inevitable. With the insane revenue the company is bringing in now they can afford to give out huge pay days. Probably the biggest ones in their history. Even Shawn couldn't turn this down this time. Plus the Saudi prince wants star names from the past and no one better fits the bill. Who will Taker's partner be against HHH and Shawn?
-
Apparently local ads are promoting Shawn as the ref for Hunter v Taker
-
Charlotte v Becky added. Can anyone remember them announcing rematches from a ppv before the ppv even takes place? Doing that here and with .AJ/Joe. have to think there will be a third match at Evolution as well
-
R truth is one of favorite acts in the company right now. Hopefully he gets a small push out of this. I like the pairing with Carmella as well. I doubt Carmella is turning face but I wouldn't mind seeing that either
-
Like I mentioned above I think this is the role they had originally envisioned for Bryan in 2013/2014. A popular upper mid carder who can move up and down the cards and have good matches and make people look good. Like late 2000s Chris Jericho. The fan's hijacking propelled him to main events but it was only scheduled to be temporary. He's still in a good spot but he's probably seen as a super popular mechanic backstage more than a true top guy
-
Well .Loss I was thinking that same thing but was hesitant to post it. He's still way over but he's not the same as March/April this year and way removed from 2013/2014. I guess they should have struck while he was white hot 5/6 months ago. I guess we could still get there but he's just coming off as a popular upper mid card guy right now. Which is probably the position they envisioned for him 4/5 years ago

Who had Drew Gulak beating down Roman in a main event segment in the PWO office pool? WWE programming has featured some weird shit since Summerslam
