I remember at new millennium blues when all that went down with Edge, Lita and Cena in early 2006 a bunch of people were arguing that the ratings bump was a fluke and Edge really had nothing to do with it. I can remember people claiming Flair (yeah people forget he was involved in this angle, Edge was feuding with him and Cena at the same time basically) and Lita were bumping the numbers. Nearly 13 years later I don't think it's *that* outrageous to say the people were ready for a new fresh heel on top. But I don't think it was until the Foley program a few months later where he was firmly established in the top mix -

I actually thought .Edge was pretty damn good in that segment. It was of course laughable saying he wasn't a chosen one. Becky of course gets a huge pop for bringing up his career ending neck injury. They are never going to boo her. -

My God did they just set up HHH/Batista for Mania? yeah I think they did -
The only thing I can think of is they are separating the performer from the person. That's all I got. Who knows?

as a heel? Pretty solid talker. Babyface? Umm, not so much -
this was Ronda's best performance on the mic so far. She had the conviction and the passion here. A bunch of the dialogue was inane sounding but she made it work. Contrast this to the horrid Trish/Lita segment

oh man that Trish/Lita segment was just painful with them referencing an Allen Iverson presser from 17 years ago. This program has been a complete bomb so far -
Yeah Hate to say it but .Trish has been horrible on the mic in her last few appearances. She was really bad last week. And to be honest she doesn't seem that over. And don't forget when she came back for that mixed tag with Snooki she was pretty bad and wasn't really over. No idea what's happened to her

A bunch of outlets have picked up the story. At this point I'd be pretty shocked if this show isn't cancelled. This is a potential PR nightmare for the company. bunch of networks and businesses have pulled out of doing business with Saudi Arabia as well

Seriously wonder if Heyman is working on creative with all these turns going down. In the past 2 months we've had Becky, Braun, Lashley and The Bellas turn. Probably more to come. Someone in the Shield v Dogs of War is certainly turning eventually This happens to coincide with the reports Heyman was helping some with creative. Oh and I guess Kane and Taker "turned" in Australia

So is Shawn back as a regular weekly tv character? Wwe usually makes it pretty clear whether someone is back full time but they have been kinda vague here. and to be honest since .Summerslam Roman has come across as a secondary character on the show, about the same level as .Dean, Seth, and Braun and below the attitude era guys. He was arguably pushed stronger before he got the title
-
I love Miz and he's def. one of my favorites but honestly it's kind of annoying how he's very rarely gotten his comeuppance in this feud. He's being pushed stronger now than when he was champion 8 years ago. I think a big part of it is they want to perennially keep Bryan the underdog
-
Wonder if Bryan/Miz was so short because they are short on time or they tried to protect Miz with a flash pin loss? Makes me think Miz is going to be in the title picture if it was for the latter. Probably a 3 way
-
Yeah agree there. Smackdown has been rolling lately but this episode is dragging. Worst SD in quite awhile
