Someone mentioned this a little while back but with Bryan on the card and probably losing earlier in the night (Miz pretty much has to win the first match of the program) the crowd is going to be even more pissed going into the main event.
my initial thought is Vince just bites the bullet here and we get a clean .Roman win to end the night. No cash in or any extracurricular stuff
maybe it means something or maybe not but post Summerslam Raw house shows are supposed to be headlined by Reigns v Owens and the match was promoted locally for HIAC in September
Heyman helped write Raw Monday including the opening segment.

Smackdown has slowly, ever since the draft, become the clearly better show. Raw hasn't been terrible mind you just kind of listless and boring. SD is just easy TV viewing pretty much every week
This has been mentioned before but watching 80s and even early 90s wrestling it's amazing how many elderly fans were in attendance at the matches. I guess it ended when both companies really went kid friendly.
Revival v Roman + Lashley again
Bayley and Sasha go to therapy
Ronda announced as appearing at Extreme Rules with a "front row ticket"
and Seth v Dolph in an Iron Man match announced for the PPV. Well now...
That's part of the idea behind this whole thing. Vince wants people mad that Brock is never around and never defends the title. So when when Roman finally beats him people will like it because it means Brock will finally be gone and the title will actually be part of show. Roman is then a hero for getting rid of the guy that hates the fans and is just using the company. He (Vince)just decided that Summerslam wasn't the right place or right time to do it because people in Brooklyn will still boo Roman. I guess the idea is the longer they build it the more people will despise Brock and thus cheer Roman
Looks like there's a chance Brock isn't working Summerslam because Vince doesn't think it's the right place or time for Roman's big win. Thus the reason they cancelled the number one contenders match for Extreme Rules
Yeah they are teasing that "Brock won't make his next title defense unless he gets a new contract". This stuff is just the worst. Worst angle of the year including the stuff on SD from pre mania
also the RR match was a strap match and the day of the show Sable refused to take any shots from the strap so Luna had to improvise and it came off awkward. And yes Sable was starting a program with Shane around that time that was almost immediately dropped so something had to be going on backstage for a McMahon program to be forgotten so quickly.
and I believe this is the time period where she refused to do a lesbian angle with Tori (not Wilson)
