Dont feed the troll. Ive never never known you to be this transparent. Normally your troll attempts are wrapped in "limb selling" and "believable strikes." Yes by saying this I clearly think all movez and flipz are good and you guys all meet up secretly to discuss the next wrestler du jour.

On the 24th August show someone emails him the spreadsheets of the matches and he is far more moderate as he begins to understand it more viewing how many voted, the pact that voters went into it without any preconceived notions etc.

Yet Murdoch is apparently Mr. Off Night in some people's eyes. It is civil war: Tiger Mask vs Dick Murdoch

Re-listening to it he does mention that he is currently review 1986 Memphis for his newsletter so there you go and he does more or less agree with the Memphis list bar being surprised at Koko's being ranked as high. Looking at the match listings he thought better than to comment on New Japan too much of it as hasnt watched all that much of it, so I guess there is your answer. But saying that was really perplexed by Kengo Kimura being so high. He describes himself as a big Hansen fan but he hasnt seen the Andre/Hansen match, he doesnt balk at it's ranking but by the sounds of him he isnt a Andre fan and has probably just saw him in the States. So he is in for a rude awakening if he ever sees the NJ set.

I re-listened to it. Yep that was all explained in the listener's letter with mookie's username being dropped as a part of the "methodology" being explained. Although he does lapse towards the end. His only confusion is that if you guys were counting the build and drama for the Tuxedo Cage Match in your rating as he would put the the Flair/DiBiase bloody TV match as his #1 for Mid South.
-
Im 99% sure he hasnt watched any of the sets, Ive personally asked him on occasion to get on it especially for Mid South and Memphis. On the Mid South list he thought Mr. Wrestling II, Magnum TA and JYD (with the disclaimer that he knows he wasnt a workrate style worker) were top 5 material. I dont recall the ins and outs of the story but dragon king was based on a friend's in-joke. He is a person who watches old footage. The last thing I remember hearing was that he was making his way through the 1982/3 weekly run of Memphis TV and notably for Bryan & Vinny listeners he recently suggested to both of them to watch Jeff Jarrett's debut/the attack on Jerry Jarretts eye episode of Memphis TV. So he isnt a Meltzer type who doesnt revisit footage. His comments are notable as he is a historian with Mid South falling within his area of interest and Im pretty sure has a vote in the WON HOF as well. Anyone with a sub can listen to his comments which span about ten minutes beginning at around the 14 minute mark responding to a letter from "Alan".

Did anyone hear the 28th July 2010 Karl Stern show? In it he runs down DVDR's lists of the Best workers for each territory which have been a part of the 80s project. He pretty much disputes the Mid South list out right, on the WWF list he thinks Adonis was super overrated and was only "passable" in his physical prime; he was baffled at the exclusion of Tiger Mask and at Inoki's low rating for New Japan list. He doesnt share the love across the board on each of the territories for Murdoch despite him being in his own personal top 20 workers of all time. As he thinks Tiger Mask is better than Murdoch branding Murdochs two Top 5 rankings and Murdochs one Top 10 ranking as "ludicrous" and agreed with the statement that you guys are hipster-like smarks for doing so. So there you go.

Neither would the wrestlers. Most heels would seem to think that a title would change hands on a count out or dq.

Matt Hardy on Twitter "critizing" Wrestling reporters/readz the sheetz: I must say the Keller and Hardy catty relationship is one of my favourite things to follow as both seem obessed with each other. Rarely taking the Meltzer style high road. Clearly Matt rates based on whether people make fun of his weight. Interestingly Matt snubbed Alverez I guess because he apologises before gleefully mentioning Matt's shape. P.S. I really hope Matt beats up Shore.

Obviously Foley has been totally unbearable recently not only in what he writes but how he writes it too (see Meltzer blog), does anyone think Folely was just really lucky to have really good editors/proofers for his first three books? Or do you guy's think his unbearableness was relatively recently acquired aspect of his character.

Well I knew Bull Pain was going to be the "sentimental" favourite on here but in terms of chemistry between guest and host there was a bit of a generational gap but Adam and Colt are like are double act in places.

More Wrestling Than Wrestling: SLL's new feature at Cageside Seats
rovert replied to Bix's topic in Pro Wrestling
I saw that on The Young Turks so glad you stepped up and posted that here: MY NAME IS PHIL DAVIDSON -
For the nth time Im going to say I hope you guys are listening to Colt Cabana's podcast as Adam Pearce and Colt are a great twosome on this week's episode. Probably the best episode so far even including the Punk one.

No Blue Blazer or Young Stallions? Match listing is pretty stacked here. Interesting that they are using Superstars and Heat matches. On that note I get London is in the WWE bad books.

Did you read her statement or were you the sole person the internet to find those pics without being linked to them by her first?

Well being an Ad Man looked like fun, right? right?

For the record I’m European so maybe I see this differently. I didn’t get that either as there was so much destruction; dislocation and rationing even post war. I know WWII kicked the US economy out of the Great Depression but still it was hardly instant fun times for all even in America. During that time a lot of Europeans fled to America including Jews, Irish, Italians etc and lived in poverty. Anyway I thought the John Capouya interview was one as Alverez’s very best with Bryan’s preparation and skills as an interviewer when motivated shining through. What a find for John that George’s wife was still alive as well.

Yep I let my PWInsider account lapse so I don’t know who wrote that. Still I didn’t know engaging pleasantries was a euphemism.

I'm a bit sceptical of this story, because lord knows they've pushed some really messed up, physical wrecks in their time. But it's really scary if true. It jives with Magnus's tweet of that: Along with TNA stating it was a personal issue. But of flies in the face of Meltzer's statement that it was a disciplinary issue (I think was the phrase). If true Nigel really did a total number on himself in ROH. Going back to shoots the Iron Shiek, Missy Hyatt and Kanyon roundtable is the same old shit with Missy with some horrible opinions debating Kanyon on gay marriage attached. For those who were very disappointed the Dreamer/Raven Face Off DVD due Tommy being morose, Raven saying the exact same stuff he always says and Feinstein’s being unprepared by even his standards despite experiencing their feud first hand. Face Off 10 where they commentate on their matches is worlds better and probably RF Video’s best release in a good while.

*insert requisite Who joke here* Catching up on shoots at the moment. Jim Cornette made some comments on his collection which might be of interest to some on his Lost Questions DVD: He estimated he has 3,000 Wrestling DVDs/tapes. His prized piece of memorabilia is his signed volumes of every St. Louis Wrestling program ever. He said he never read Bryan Alverez in print outside of his occasional Smackdown reviews in the Observer, which surprised me as Bryan devoted a lot of his newsletter to OVW and I thought Jim would get a kick out of Bryan especially during that era.

Watching Impact, Eric Bischoff is turning into modern day Jerry Jarrett.

I like to think Irv got by Dave's standard filters by mentioning MMA. Joking aside it is probably one of better pieces of writing Irv has done it a while.
