  1. Can I possibly indulge your outrage/frustation further, Eric? Dave posted this on the forum a short while before the newsbit about about this year's class. Worth noting Dave lists exactly six candidates as far stronger candidates than Sting six being the exact number of inductees this year.: So Edge is a better actor than Murdoch and Tanahashi is a more consistent super worker than Murdoch in his opinion.
  2. Dave will be working over time all this month:
  3. So anyone who thinks Cornette isn't full of **** at this point I remembered this and dug it up. What kind of annoyed me the past year is that when he left TNA he wrote this if anyone remembers - a contract with the fans: http://jimcornette.com/index.php?option=co...&Itemid=183 And then went back on it. He publicly said nothing when the promotion routinely treated their fans with utter contempt in their communications with them nor did he change the course of the booking when fans expressed their disapproval. Direct quote from the above link: What utter ****. So who is on board with a class action lawsuit?
  4. Obviously there has been a lot of issues, conflict and resentment by subscribers of MMA seeming to be his favourite son. I have certainly felt it so it warmed my heart and kind of shocked me when Dave said this week's New Japan show and their shows in general being better than the best UFC. I support his interest in Wrestling!
  5. As an indirect comment to this post even if you dislike Tanahashi you should watch the match as it is a great departure from his standard high spot and near fall driven match favouring more selling and such like. Minoru Suzuki puts on both a strong and amusing showing. His facials are great here: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xu7mv8_hi...zuki-njpw_sport
  6. How Cornette was written out. Posted for the bump:
  7. Yet to read the Observer bar last night scrolling down to the match ratings for the show after watching it. I thought it was ****3/4. I didn't go the full 5 as it didn't have any special/epic/legendary intangible - it certainly wasn't a business, cultural or stylistic high point like some of those Misawa/Kawada matches were.
  8. Awwwwwwesome newsbit about the arena they ran for Raw this week:
  9. Austin's seems to be neck and neck with Punk's from what I have seen. A criticism of Austin's is that it drags in a lot of places - the chapter about his film work goes on forever. Punk's apparently tighter and more cohesive. Really liked Jericho's essentially it is a companion piece to his two books. But Austin's (and assume Punk's) is an evolutionary step production wise.
  10. You are thinking of @WWECreative. That was Robert Karpeles a mid 00s staffer. Don't blame you for the confusion. CrankyVince got yanked at the same time but it was later reinstated.
  11. Different people. They have appeared on various podcasts together -Lagana's Formerly Creative and without looking probably Figure 4 Daily too. Someone on the F4D board last year used some app and verified those two were behind the account.
  12. The latest kickstarter this time to turn Highspot's Dynamite Kid Shoot interview into a documentary: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/460538...kid-documentary Wonder how quickly they will reach their goal/what's Kid's name value in 2012?
  13. Good column for those who haven't followed ROH that runs down Jim's mistakes: http://www.voicesofwrestling.com/2012/10/0...hat-went-wrong/
  14. The CrankyVince - parody Vince McMahon Twitter account outted: Always suspected it was him.
  15. Something to tick off the DVDR sleaze list. Davey Boy Smith and Tammy had relations:
  16. Leading up to it though had one of my favorite bits ever. When Steph was kidnapped and being held somewhere in the building RAW was at, there's a match between Shamrock and Christian I think. Anyway, it ends with Shamrock having Christian in the anklelock screaming "WHERE IS SHE?". The lights go off for the Brood bloodbath deal, and when they come back on Shamrock is covered in "blood" but still has the anklelock on and he's screaming even louder, looking like a madman until Christian gives up where Steph is. It made Shamrock look like the baddest motherfucker alive. Total Liam Neeson:
  17. According to Mike Johnson Ric Flair is dating Fifi the maid from the Flair from the Gold segments from 1993 WCW. Amazing.
  18. So what do they want? Why are they there? How do they have easy access to the IMPACT Zone despite the carnage they cause on a near weekly basis? Apparently this is better than the Russo written IMPACT.
  19. Sons of Ohio Valley. This has slowly become this generation's Black Scorpion.
  20. Colt Cabana played this on his latest podcast interviewing Chris Sabin. 'Pedro Morales' by Mighty Ions a song to the tune of the Dead Kennedys's 'California Über Alles'
  21. Have you guys seen the Regal vs Ryder Saturday Morning Slam? One of the more non-WWE on WWE TV in a while given the limitations they work round due to the no strikes to the neck rule - lots of mat work. The conclusion of the match is SO silly.
  22. Like Ronnie said Sky Sports pushed British Boxing super hard in the 90s. Every ad break seemingly had an advertisement for a Lennox Lewis or a Prince Hassam fight on Sky Box Office.
  23. Interview from Jerry's home which is amazing itself: So charming and brave here
  24. FLIK ignore any and all specfics on Karl and Bryan's podcast on Big Daddy. I know there is learning curve and a cultural understanding need to Daddy's candidacy. But they acted like the UK was this tiny island and than Daddy was on par with Muhammad Ali popularity wise! Meltzer did half an hour on Daddy this morning with Bryan apparently which I haven't listened to.
