Loss Posted January 28, 2011 Author Report Posted January 28, 2011 This is long and boring. I don't think the BattlARTS stuff came into its own for another year or two, as most of the praise I hear is for '98-'01 matches. Ikeda and Ishikawa both have awesome kicks, but that's not really a revelation. Nice finish. Quote
Ditch Posted January 28, 2011 Report Posted January 28, 2011 I assume that's Naohiro Hoshikawa. Quote

PeteF3 Posted April 8, 2015 Report Posted April 8, 2015 I'm with Loss. I couldn't get into this and I really liked the earlier BattlArts stuff. The pure wrasslin' stuff (suplexes, spin kicks, etc.) was a lot more compelling than the shootstyle work. Quote
soup23 Posted May 22, 2017 Report Posted May 22, 2017 I would be interested in Loss revisiting this as while it certainly isn't top of the line BattlARTS, I thought it was fine as a spot show style match. Yuki and Ikeda going after each other is always entertaining and this was more grapple heavy stuff between them. Finish was a little anticlimatic but it put over Ikeda's kicks well and the shot was brutal. *** Quote
