Loss
Talk about it here.
Loss
First things first, Lawler has to vent about Bret Hart's award. He says Bret Hart only won that award because all Japanese readers' votes were excluded, and Lawler is a racist that hates Japanese people. Now, time for Shawn to come out. I don't think Shawn ever said "WWF" a single time on TV. If he did, I never heard it. He probably says "World Wrestling Federation" a dozen times here. It should be a drinking game. I realize most wrestlers didn't use "WWF" as a default, but Shawn would do it no matter how awkwardly it flowed. Just curious: Does anyone think Shawn Michaels was a good promo? I don't see it. Anyway, Sid is Shawn's new bodyguard. He delivers a promo, and is an awfully talkative bodyguard. I think at this point -- maybe I'm wrong -- because he was so much bigger, the idea was to use Shawn to get Sid over, not the other way around. Gregor
Just curious: Does anyone think Shawn Michaels was a good promo? I don't see it.I think that the only period during which he consistently gave good promos was between SummerSlam 1997 and the founding of DX. This segment made me realize that I cannot stand Sid's promos. He takes forever to finish sentences, and he's just screaming most of the time. He also whispers in all caps, which is moderately impressive but not really something that salvages his mic work.
Tim Evans
Anytime I see Sid, I just want to fist pump. I don't care, the man is awesome. Interesting to hear Shawn call Lawler "Kingfish". I don't remember anyone calling him that outside of Memphis?
PeteF3
Bret Hart owes the Japanese people an apology for the "slanted" remarks he's been making. Intentional or not? Not one of Shawn's better promos, as there's just some token remarks about the WM11 title match and Shawn gets worse on the stick the less focus that he has. Sid's promo is actually better. I know the story is they didn't decide to turn Shawn babyface until after the WM11 match, but...Sid's got his own entrance music already? Hmm.
