As with most ECW promos, he gets too much time and starts talking in circles, but it's obvious Austin has star potential by this point, and that's not just hindsight.

This is pretty much the start of Stone Cold before it actually happened. Interesting that he did the old Foley "Take me back Eric" thing.

Austins run in ECW was definitely fun. It was obvious he was just passing through and angling for a WWF contract, but he showed how gifted he was when let loose on the mic.

A humbled Austin wonders if he doesn't have it anymore...and bizarrely segues into begging Eric Bischoff for his job back. He thinks Bischoff ought to get Announcer of the Year--I'll take that under advisement, Steve. Then he does another 180 and goes back to ragging on WCW and ECW's product. Austin announces that he's taking some time off, which I assume from an ECW standpoint will be permanent.
