soup23 Posted February 7, 2013 Report Share Posted February 7, 2013 Great interview. Scott was very conversational throughout and I enjoyed his prospective. He seemed to have an excellent memory of his career and a geuunine love of wrestling. I also appreciate how in tune he was to his position in the company. I hate hearing interviews with commentators and other individuals where you feel like they believe they should have been pushed as the leader of the company. He mentioned Chris Cruise in general to see if he would get into it and then when we go into WCW, he asked if he was paid when he started there or if he worked for free...he said yes it was a paid job, so he left it alone at that. We spent a good amount of time on Global and he also talked about his day job, which was interesting to hear about as well. Thank you Chad. I really enjoyed talking to Scott...what a nice guy and completely down to earth. He will be rejoining us in the future to shoot the shit on wrestling, similar to Kevin Kelly. goodhelmet Posted February 8, 2013 Report Share Posted February 8, 2013 Graham Cawthon's interviewed Cruise a couple of years ago. He basically said when Hudson came in, they had someone who would work for free and that meant the end of Cruise and the other announcers were pissed because they thought it would mean a reduction in pay.
