New Japan "Invasion Attack" is WrestleMania weekend, so i'd be wary about buying tickets to the wrestling show if you are primarily interested in the Lance Hoyt vs Chris Masters match.

Edit - didn't realize Hoyt represented NJPW. I'm actually not interested in seeing that match

Their first match was really good.

 

W2BTD, do you know anything more about the Hoyt situation than you are letting on? I can't imagine he would let himself be double booked for that weekend of all weekends, but I agree that in theory you would think he would be at the NJPW show. I suppose it's possible TCW will shoot an angle to take him out of that match between now and then, but then what is the upside in even announcing it.

He's not booked for New Japan yet.

 

Let me put it to you this way. The Young Bucks have already pulled out of their two New Orleans bookings.

I would totally go to this if it wasn't so far away. And how does a scrub like Hoyt get regular work in Japan while my man Chris Masters doesn't seem to have anything resembling steady work?

Hoyt isn't a scrub anymore. One of the most improved guys in the business.

Does anyone know what's up with TCW? They have been airing repeats the last two weeks and don't have any shows scheduled until this Mid-South fan fest. Are they having money problems?

The owner of the company said in an interview with Alvarez that they don't make money on the shows.

Yeah it was 11/16. That was a loaded show for them.

 

It's not surprising that they aren't taping again until Mania weekend as they are clearly putting a lot of eggs in that basket

Thanks guys. I know they've had two recent TV matches, and I was wondering if the one that aired about two weeks ago was filmed in November, December, or January for year end list purposes. I really liked it.

I don't know any of the indy guys but I'd go to any show within an hours driving distance that had Chris Masters on it. Getting to see Bill Dundee, The RNR Express and even Elijah Burke is a nice addition.
