ShittyLittleBoots Posted February 20, 2017 Report Posted February 20, 2017 This is a match where I have never understood where the hype comes from. The beginning was good with Davey working on top, and I feel like if they had went with that for rest of the match, it could've been good - the story of the hated champ in Tyler Black having to man up against the loved challenger in Davey Richards - BUT it really was just your typical indy 50-50 bombfest w/ both guys hitting each other with their signature big moves for 20+ mins. No idea how this gets talked up as a classic. * Quote
Boss Rock Posted April 19, 2018 Report Posted April 19, 2018 This match gets a lot of hate but the first time I watched it I liked it, so I watched it again to see if it holds up. The first 7-8 minutes are actually pretty good and really it's only when Black hits the Rubix Cube that it gets a bit over-indulgent. And as indieriffic as it is, it's not exactly all that out of place from what you'd see at a PWG show. Not a classic, but not the blight of independent wrestling either. It's fine. Quote
