goodhelmet
I was watching some Memphis from 1984 and Eddie Gilbert and Tommy Rich were introduced as the Fabulous Ones. Now, I was always under the impression that Stan Lane and Steve Keirn were the original Fabulous Ones. Guess not. So, were there any other incarnations of this team? Also, when we were participating in the tag team tournament, I refused to vote when it came to Fabulous Ones matchups. What matches should I look for? What famous feuds were they part of? Tim Cooke
Rich and Gilbert were the "New Fabulous One's". Watch Gilbert Vol-2 for their awesome break up angle.
goodhelmet
One of our posters sent me this information and I thought it was good enough to post the message. When Lane and Keirn left Memphis, Jerry Jarrett was irate over it, and wanted to back at them by showing that the fans would have accepted anyone in that Fabulous Ones role, and so put Gilbert and Rich together as the 'New' Fabulous Ones. They didn't get over, so were broken up in short order. And, as TC said, their break up angle was tremendous.
Guest Mike Campbell
The Fabs also had a hand in the formation of the Fantastics. Because the Fabs were so popular, Jarrett put Bobby Fulton and Terry Taylor together to be a sort of Fabs-light team.
Loss
GH, of the stuff you have, I'd check out the Fabs v Ware/Austin match that's on the '85 Memphis comp. Also check out Fabs/Guerreros on the Mid South set.
