Loss Posted September 8, 2014 Author Report Posted September 8, 2014 While they had been feuding for months, I am surprised that they made this match official so late before the show. I guess they really were confident in Austin-Undertaker, and with that build, I can understand why. Rock accepts HHH's challenge for Summerslam.
soup23 Posted October 19, 2014 Report Posted October 19, 2014 Rock sets up the final showdown between him and HHH. THis was a good showcase promo on Heat even if Shane wouldn't shut up throughout it.
PeteF3 Posted July 29, 2016 Report Posted July 29, 2016 The ladder match doesn't really have that "holy shit" vibe it would carry later on--too much turnover from the big matches of 1994-95 to now. Rock has a few new phrases that would recur more often ("rooty-poo candy ass" and "rung by damn rung...") later on. It's still refreshing to see Rock doing straightforward promos incorporating this stuff a little more organically than his later promos as a catchphrase-spouting babyface.
