Loss
Bret does his full entrance and takes off, so Sting follows him. They end up having a very good brawl in the backstage area that I'm going to call a match since it has the back-and-forth momentum swings and interesting sequences you want in a good match. This segment is great for setting up their match at Havoc as something deeply personal, but it didn't play out that way from memory. While I liked this, doing a main event entirely in the backstage area is the type of thing that will kill a town.
soup23
I'm not calling this an official match since the bell never rung but it was damn good an mixed in the backstage brawling aspects of wrestling in a more believable manner than the Hardcore Title fests did in WWF which I could appreciate. This does feel like a great setup for a cage match or something bloody at Havoc.
PeteF3
This is a good brawl that's worked like a match with control segments and comebacks, but I think they went to the backstage well once too often for one show as the crowd is pretty pissed off when it's apparent that there's not going to be a real match in the ring.
