Loss
Mankind is accompanied to the ring by the Job Squad for some reason. Shawn sends them packing, then does color commentary. Shawn holds up scorecards after a few of the spots, which is pretty funny, but he shits on the match. Not that the match is any good, as Boss Man is gone by this point. Crowd is dead until Mankind pulls out Mr. Socko, and the action is pretty pedestrian. Rock runs in and pushes Mankind off the ladder. He tries to help Boss Man win the match but Mick makes his own save. Rock has no kneepads on which looks kind of odd. Boss Man wins the Hardcore Title. Shawn joins Rock and Boss Man in getting in a few shots on Foley to close things out.
soup23
Shawn dispatches of the JOB squad and then has some tough critiques on the spots in the match. Oh, Boss Man gets a 10! This was pretty fun and the bump Rock gives Foley off the ladder is nasty with Foley's leg looking like it could of got caught. I also thought Rock looked weird here with tennis shoes and his trunks. The beatdown of him, Bossman and Shawn at the end is a weird trio in wrestling history. (*3/4)
PeteF3
I actually thought this was better than it looked on paper. It's rushed, but both guys take some really stiff shots with the ladder and they tease a miracle Mankind victory in the face of 2-on-1 odds before he's overwhelmed. Shawn alternates between being amusing and being a total JBL-esque shit, with some of those "postmodern wrestling" hallmarks that Parv loves so much, like bragging about how he can wrestle for 45 minutes and Mick can't. It's like this is where the start of the WWE exacerbating its wrestlers own weaknesses instead of hiding them comes from.
