sek69
Finding out that Pro Wrestling Illustrated , the very nourishment of my formative mark years, now has a website is one of the most surreal experiences I've had in a while.
Guest Sass
Their cover gallery is just amazing and I hope all of the issues are still around.
goodhelmet
What do you mean, you hope the issues are all around? Do you mean around for collectors to pick up? Do you mean around as in preserved so people can always look at them in a gallery? Can you elaborate because I didn't really understand what you were implying? Guest Sass
The last time I bought a PWI, I looked at their back issue collection and noticed that a number of issues and years were missing in the catalogue. I got the impression they might have been out of print or none were saved. But, I never found out whether or not this was case. I've always wanted to go back and read all of the issues so that I might get a better perspective of the times.
Loss
I've thought about trying to collect all the old PWI's myself, for two reasons: (1) Tons of results across the board from all promotions, and I'm starting to become interested in collecting results from all promotions (2) To see what the mark perspective was at the time on all the feuds I don't think I'd want anything after 1994 or 1995, though, which is when the lid started slowly getting ripped off of wrestling and the magazine had to change with the times.
