The Revolution had an odd gimmick at this point where they became anti-American. They are about to burn both an American and Canadian flag after attacking Chris Benoit. Bret Hart makes the save and clears the ring of The Revolution and rescues the two flags. This was all done for the visual of Bret and Benoit waving the American and Canadian flags, and it's like they just worked backwards from there.

So The revolution were the precussor to Clive Bundy? It doesn't make sense to burn the Canadian flag in the US. The crowd was dead for this throughout.

Crowd doesn't care about this, at least until the American flag gets involved. Trying to burn the Canadian flag *may* have gotten more heat in Toronto the previous night. Bret's run-in gets a very, very tepid reaction.
