I seem to remember a much better card happening somewhere else that night.

This is just...well, it has to be seen to be believed and I'm not sure how much it can really be described. Yet another one of those Takada oddities.

I'm not sure if this is the match Timbo means or not. This one has Russian commentary and graphics, of all things, and has very little action outside of a Kitao knee to the midsection and throw in the second round and Takada's kick that knocks Kitao out in the third. Other than that, these two spend most of their time trying to figure out how to tie up with each other and sitting in a hold when they manage to grab one. The knowledge that I was watching a Russian TV broadcast of the match excited me more than the match itself.

Koji Kitao's match against Kazuo Yamazaki was so good because Kitao was this looming man-child with judo skills and when he got to let loose, it was a lot of fun. This was not that because it's the Takada show...but that's okay because it has the boss legit KO'ing Kitao with a kick to the head. Not a good match #5.
