WrestleMania XI. I was so into wrestling between 1992 and 1997 and that includes the mess that is 1995. I loved Raw and all the WWF PPVs except KOTR (mainly because Michaels won).

Even today I will toss in WMXI as a comfort show to have something in the background. I love the random headphones that JR and Todd wear in the aisle... Salt-N-Pepa and all the hoopla for the main event, Shawn/Diesel, JJ/Razor... I just really dig it all still. Plus Owen's first title win and ensuing celebration were so fun.

The roster was really thin and they did what they could to make a memorable event.

It could have worked if they gave the time from the Roberts/Rude match to them. It's surprising that they didn't try and do it, especially since Hogan/Andre was heavily promoted for that show.

For me it seems a shame they even went to a draw with Rude/Jake. Both had a pretty good career by this point and just seems a shame they couldnt have done more.

Im probably clutching at straws because Savage was winning anyway but would have liked either guy to get a second match on the show.

On the subject of other shows always had a personal fondness for Survivor Series 1989. Mind you it did feel odd Hogans match going halfway through the PPV and the comedy angle with Heenan wrestling and getting slaughtered by Warrior at the end was well worth it. Fans had always wanted to see Bobby get his just deserts the way he always interfered in matches and this was very enjoyable.

The only decision I wasent keen on was Rude/Piper.

KOTR 1994. People mock it for Art Donovan and Piper/Lawler, but there are some real gems on this show. Not just Kid/Owen and Bret/Diesel, but i liked Razor/Bigelow, Kid/Jarrett, and Owen/Tatanka as well. Also, i watched No Mercy 2004 a while ago and was shocked at how much i enjoyed it. It came during a really weak period for Smackdown, yet i was entertained by the whole show, even JBL/Undertaker. While i would never put it in a best ppv of all time category, it was an enjoyable enough show.

WrestleMania 1 for me, Loved the way every match had something to get over. I liked the way not every star had to be on the card. The build up to this card was awesome in real time as I had become an avid fan in 1983 and watched the tv all the way to this point. Throw in the mainstream coverage and the excitement for this card leading up was great and unheard of in the business. I also enjoyed the card itself, not great form an in ring perspective but the atmosphere was electric. I did enjoy the work in the main event. I even enjoy this more than Mania 3.
