Dylan Waco Posted May 9, 2015 Report Posted May 9, 2015 Going through soup and Loss' top 100 matches from each of the 90's, he appeared way too many times not to at least have a thread. The issue here is that most if not all those matches were multi-man tags. The question with him is going to be twofold - 1. how could are his performances in the tags and 2. are there enough singles matches where he stands out to give him serious consideration for a top 100. Unlike with Teoh, Funaki was around for a while in the U.S. as a jobber, but that may mean he has lots of fun C-Show matches worth watching. Or not.
Timbo Slice Posted May 29, 2015 Report Posted May 29, 2015 He had a few bright spots for the WWF/E, but he mostly shined in the MPro tags and like Dylan said, that's hard to get him hard consideration for a list like this.
elliott Posted May 2, 2023 Report Posted May 2, 2023 He's got the long singles match with Mens Teioh that I love, a pair of tag matches with Teioh that are also excellent. I like him but I'm not sure there's an argument for him. He always looked good though in limited opportunities so if someone wanted to vote for him, I wouldn't argue it.
