GSR
Is there anyway we can get a download option enabled? Seconded. I went to download this earlier and saw that I wasn't able to (at least yet).
DownNDirtyTN
I have edited the track and now it's downloadable. I just forgot to do it when I was originally uploading. Should be good now.
SteveJRogers
Will it be on iTunes, or have an RSS feed for pod catchers?
DownNDirtyTN
I will be glad to incorporate both of these options as well. I will just have to figure out how. Our other podcast covering NASCAR has been SoundCloud exclusive but I will be happy to make this show more available. I will work on that over the weekend. DownNDirtyTN
I have submitted the show to Apple for iTunes. I also have created an RSS feed. If something doesn't work right please let me know I haven't messed with some of those settings before. I think I have the RSS created successfully now. SomethingSavage
I haven't got a chance to check out the show just yet, but I'm definitely looking forward to it. I've been busy at work, and I'm trying to wait until I'll have enough free time to fire up the old SMW shows to follow along as ya go. I just know I'm going to step away from the podcast wanting to revisit everything for myself. That being said, I just wanted to say that I'm stoked about the project. And I appreciate you going the extra mile to make it so widely available in different places. The "Awards" as a bonus are a nice freaking touch, too. DownNDirtyTN
Review of episodes 5 & 6 will be up this weekend. For anyone who is going to follow along on Youtube you may know that a poster by the name of hockeymaskguy uploaded the first 70 SMW TV's which covered the period through May 1993. Well, today alone I am uploading June 1993-December 1993. I will likely upload 1994 over the next month. And for those of you who have listened I really would appreciate any feedback that you may have. We want the show to be entertaining with a bit of insights as well. And having Justin watching this stuff for the first time he gives an organic reaction which I really like hearing what he likes and don't like. We will try to do at least 3 episodes per month for this SMW project. Here's my Youtube channel where I will be uploading the SMW TV's from mid 93 onward: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL4Qd-0DyPqpO9BRr4Q4BtjgkeSJM7xtxj

SomethingSavage
REALLY appreciate ya taking the time and energy to upload the rest of Smoky Mountain's run, man. I've got the entirety of SMW on a spare hard drive around the house SOMEWHERE, but I've admittedly been too busy (err, lazy?) to dig it out and submerge myself back into this stuff. Having it readily available and easily accessible on Youtube this way will spare me the excuses. Truly helps out a truckload, and I genuinely appreciate it. Thanks again, man. Hope ya manage to get it all up eventually, as that would be tremendous. As far as the pods go, I've enjoyed them immensely. Knocked out the first two episodes a week or so ago on a drive to Houston and back. Got a real kick out of the chemistry among you 3 guys. As noted, the dynamic keeps discussion varied with sliding viewpoints. It's a fun project, for sure. I'm eager to hear how, when, or even if Justin's perceptions shift once the coals get to burning, the angles go to blazing, and the performers have some real flames lit up under their asses. Some seriously fun stuff is coming up, and so I almost expect him to be pleasantly surprised. Only criticism I could conjure is that I'd like a little more variety in the closing "Awards" talk, if in fact that's going to continue to be a trend. I realize you guys have minimal options to choose from, since things are still a bit clunky and slow in the beginning. But everyone nominating the same choice or just retreading each other's opinions for the final ten minutes kind of grinds the show's momentum to a halt towards the end there. That's it though, man. All in all, I've enjoyed the show a lot. By all means, keep it coming.
DownNDirtyTN
Thanks for the suggestion. I do think this week we will try to come to a "consensus" on all of the end of the show awards. I may throw out an honorable mention or two but this should alleviate the redundancy. Thanks for listening.

SomethingSavage
Something tells me you guys are going to be finding your own voice and style to go right along with the angles and booking as ya move forward here. Haven't had a chance to scope out these two latest episodes, but keeping the shows short & sweet around the 1 hour mark means I'll definitely be blazing through 'em in the next week or so - no problem. I'll drop some comments and try to drum up some points for discussion afterwards. If memory serves me correctly, you guys aren't going to have any shortage of options when it comes to the "Fan of the Week" category. With the holidays coming up, I hope to have some time to go back & binge watch on a bunch of episodes. A refresher to get me up to speed should really help to enhance the listening experience. But so far, so good. And again - really appreciate the effort to upload the remainder of Smoky Mountain's run over on your YouTube channel, man. GSR
I'll have to check what I wrote about Rogers vs Horner as I have no recollection of it, though both Rogers and Horowitz are tremendous as 'competitive' enhancement in the first few months. I'm thinking it's the follow up to the angle of Rip doing squats for the duration of the show, but Horner was always a struggle upto where he's paired off with the Dirty White Boy. Agree on that six man and it was a shame the Wild Bunch only appeared for that one TV taping.
DownNDirtyTN
Rogers/Horner was definitely the continuation of the squat angle. Squats were episode 6 this match was in episode 7. We definitely love us some Rip Rogers.
DownNDirtyTN
This week we discuss episodes 9 and 10 of SMW Weekly TV. As SMW builds towards the Volunteer Slam we examine all the matches, interviews, and angles. As always comments are definitely encouraged. We want to make the show as enjoyable as possible so please let us know what you would like to hear or maybe you don't like something and we need to work on it. Hopefully by the time we've made it through 200 episodes we'll have it down pat haha. https://soundcloud.com/ricky-whittenburg/fire-in-the-mountains-smw-wrestling-episodes-9-10 End of the Show Awards: Match of the Week - The Fantastics vs The Wild Bunch Soundbyte of the Week - Cornette's comments on corn fed women Fashion Statement - Well, maybe sign of the times statement more than anything but Tim Horner sings Shameless for 2 minutes straight Fan of the Week - Husband and Wife combo episode 10 (picture above) Interview of the Week - Ron Wright Episode 10 he's mad at people not sending him money TOP TEN MATCHES WATCHED SO FAR SMW History Rip Rogers vs Tim Horner - Weekly show #7 Jimmy Golden/Wild Bunch vs Fantastics - Weekly show #8 Paul Orndorff vs Rip Rogers - Weekly show #2 The Maulers vs Johnny & Davey Rich - Weekly show #8 The Fantastics vs The Wild Bunch - Weekly show #9 Rip Rogers vs Joey Maggs - Weekly show #3 Ivan/Golden vs Fantastics - Weekly show #4 The Koloffs vs the Fantastics - Weekly show #2 Jimmy Golden vs Robert Gibson - Weekly show #5 Hector Guerrero vs Keith Hart - Weekly show #
