shoe
2/21/16 Brock Lesnar vs Roman Reigns vs Dean Ambrose 4 1/4* I thought this was great. They had a great story. It opened with an incredible shine for Brock just destroying the best friends. Ambrose and Reigns both wanted to take out Brock one on one. This allowed Brock to run wild early. Eventually it clicks and they realize they're not going to take down Brock one on one. So they team up and put Brock through 2 tables. Now it's one on one and they take it to each other. This happens for several minutes. Then Brock returns and bam the dynamic changes again. Brock and Roman work this awesome Kimura spot. The finish here is Ambrose wearing out both Roman and Brock with chair shots. I didn't understand Brock taking a powder from the chair shots, since he's shown no fear of contact before. This set up Reigns spearing Ambrose for the 3.
NotJayTabb
With Ospreay, I've always felt he lucked out when Mark Andrews "won" that dead-end TNA roster spot. Mandrews going to America left a gap near the top of the Progress card for a high-flying babyface ace, which Ospreay took up. He was certainly overshone by Andrews in the early days, with Andrews being the first winner of the Natural Progression Series (beating Ospreay along the way). Andrews being more charismatic and a far better seller always made him standout more than Ospreay, at least to me.
shoe
1/8/16 Free Lance Wrestling Mustafa Ali vs Isaias Velazquez 4 1/2* This is a match that Dylan pimped on twitter and I loved it. First off the crowd was super hot for both guys. The commentators did a tremendous job in getting both talents over. I thought the limb work was top notch in this. Both guys were really focused on the limb work. They mixed it up with some fun spots. Then built up some incredible drama with the limb work paying off at the finish. These guys told a great story. shoe
2/26/16 ROH Young Bucks/Kenny Omega vs ACH/Kushida/Matt Sydal 4 1/4* This match was pretty exciting. Sure it had some awesome spots. Omega German suplexing Sydal onto the ramp after a double super kick from the Bucks. Kushida's flip dive. Young Bucks tope's, and ACH huge dive, along with others. Sydal's FIP work was the back bone to the match. ACH and Kushida got to shine and look like a million bucks. The Bucks and Omega were great too. shoe
2/14/16 Progress Rampage Brown vs Mikey Whiplash 4 1/4* Going in I wasn't expecting much. Left coming out this was one heck of a hate filled brawl. This is what Adam Page vs BJ Whitmer needed to be. This starts off like a hoss fight. It gives off the vibe of hate filled. Both guys are delivering nasty strikes. Whiplash takes a nasty bump into a row of chairs. They're brawling in the crowd and Brown hurts his leg on a bump. This is where the match becomes more than just a brawl. Whiplash just works over the leg. Brown sells it right on.. We get this for a bit, and it really gives a strong backbone to the match. . Eventually, Brown hits a Samoan drop. Then he follows up with other high impact moves that wrcks Whiplash. Brown with a pretty impressive feat of strength snatches Whiplash from the apron through the ropes and delivers a piledriver for the win. shoe
3/4/16 CMLL Dragon Lee vs Kamaitachi 4 1/2* Man these guys did it again. Another incredible match between the 2. So many amazing moves. My favorite part of the match for me was when Dragon Lee hooked on the Crossface. Then he went for the arm lock. This damaged Kamaiachi's shoulder. Then he delivered the most violent German on the floor. Back to the ring Dragon Lee hits a rana to the floor further damaging the shoulder. Then to further hurt the shoulder he does a top rope dbl stomp to the shoulder. All of this plays into the finish. Other things I dug was how the crowd was buying into the big moves, but also the flash pins.
shoe
3/9/16 LU Mil Muertes vs Prince Puma vs Pentagon Jr. 4 1/2* I thought this was incredible. Sure it had so many amazing spots in it. It also told a great story. Mil was this dominating force early. Then the guys would do a run of hot moves. Then Mil would take control and dominate with his physical prowess. The boys would then run off 4 spectacular dives onto Mil. Puma and Pentagon Jr. would trade big moves and nearfalls. Eventually, Mil would recover and take out both guys with the Flatliner. Great stuff.

shoe
1/2/16 PWG Timothy Thatcher vs Drew Gulak 4 1/4* Of course this had great mat work. I love this style because it;s a throwback to Billy Robinson or Jack Brisco or even Terry Funk as World Champion. Except quicker for the modern audience. Both guys are looking for openings. Thatcher eventually gets the arm and just wrecks it, while Gulak goes after the leg. At one point Thatcher uses a deadlift double wristlock. That's insane. Thatcher's arm work was right on point. With Gulak selling the arm big time to where it even gave him problems with positioning. The drama of the near submissions in the match were great. The finish played into all the arm work during the match.

Just watched this match and Gulak absolutely blew me away. So many small touches like striking the knee to try escaping the gutwrench. . . going to the head then body and alternating during the strike exchange. I totally loved this. Luchaundead
This match was amazing live Gulak has never once disappointed in PWG and Thatcher is secretly the best facial seller I all of wrestling but it goes unnoticed because people think of him as a hardass. Can't wait for the rewatch on this one
shoe
3/16/16 LU Mil Murtes vs Fenix 4 1/4* Another great match from Mil Muertes. He's having a better year than Brock, and getting paid a lot less. Again we have the story of big man vs little man. This is worked really hate filled. We had mask ripping. The guys incorporated the gimmicks and holy shit spots. Though the key was at it's core it was hate filled. Fenix was busted open Muertes right on cue goes after the cut. This was a brawl that would have gotten over in the 80's. This was stiff. When Muertes was punching Fenix on the announce table It made me feel uncomfortable. I loved the actual finish. My main complaints were the chair shots, and I thought the nearfalls were excessive.

shoe
If it was recorded in 2015 so be it. It aired for tv in 2016. I thought all the LU tapings began in January .
shoe
I guess they started in November. I'm using the airdate since the intention was for the show to be televised in 2016.
shoe
3/12/16 AAA Pentagon Jr. vs Hijo Del Fantasma vs Fenix vs Octagon Jr. 4 1/4 I enjoyed the heck out of this match. It was very high spot oriented. Yet their was the drama between Pentagon Jr.and Octagon Jr. All four guys worked really hard. It was an elimination match so it ratched up the drama. Plus the match served a purpose and set up Pentagon Jr.
Bierschwale
I know that I've watched more than one Parka II match in my life, but really it only ever seems like the ParK-Parka showdown from TripleMania. which is an awesome match during ParK's glory tour. God, what if there had been a Glory Tour ParK-Retirement Tour Togo match? Holy shit. I'm beating the drum for Kodaka-Takeshita, have you watched it? I'm only just starting to be okay with Kodaka because of how upset I got from him winning the title from Sakaguchi but, this match is pretty great don't know if I can say MOTYC though maybe still just my bias. It was very high spot oriented. Yet their was the drama between Pentagon Jr.and Octagon Jr. All four guys worked really hard. It was an elimination match so it ratched up the drama. Plus the match served a purpose and set up Pentagon Jr. I just couldn't get into this match for some reason and I think some of the lost spots were part of that. While I agree that the exchanges between Pentagon Jr. and Octagon Jr. had a great aura to them, I just felt like the overall structure of the match felt disjointed. I need to re-watch and see what I missed because generally your rankings are similar to my tastes.
