    Technical Wrestlers Today

It's funny to watch him & WALTER do the RINGKAMPF pose together. Thatcher seems like a guy who just doesn't know what to do with his arms if he's not at least THINKING of putting them on someone while WALTER is a lot more "Tomorrow Belongs to Me" about it with his half-dumb empty expression. So glad that wXw decided to make them babyfaces!

I mean, a lot of it is just stitching together stuff that got erased in the fictional draft and turning up the kayfabe a little in some places. so that Tenryu is this half-mad genius type who's basically his smirking prick character in real life instead of what he was in reality which, as far as I can really tell, was someone coming up with a million schemes to keep the actual WAR afloat, but if it's just a brand within the AJPW sphere, he can do whatever I want. Takashi Ishikawa, who I signed to be a Tenryu flunky back in 2016 because he's a personal favorite from old WAR tapes, left in '94 or '95 to start a Tokyo Pro revival that never really took off and then bled into the other scum indies. As far as I know, Kabuki (who I already had as a wrestler) & Kurisu were its trainers; which is a pretty frightening combo of mean old dicks so them trying to mould NEW JACK into an old-school "AJPW in the chaotic days" type of brawler (can't HELP but think of Jack as the new-age Killer Karl Kox for the too obvious & in-poor-taste joke, but that guy was a hell of a brawler, too) is just... too good of a story. Plus I do have a sincere belief that New Jack was a lot more talented than he was ever able to show once he was really established in ECW, so it's all fun.

[2000-06-18-BattlARTS] Yuki Ishikawa vs Takeshi Ono

It's more the former but "Ono as submissions freak & Murakami-lite manic" is a great mix to watch from someone who already could pay so many unique roles within the extended troupe, especially since he's so underrated from almost all of his stuff we have being BAT/FU-TEN. All Ono is good Ono and this is some GOOD Ono.
