This week’s opening contest sees a returning Ken Lucas facing off against Tony Falk. Lucas who has a rich history and is a multiple time champion here in Southeastern, including up to recently being Tag Team Champion this past May. Lucas makes quick work of Falk, and defeats him in 4 minutes when he puts Falk to sleep with a Sleeper Hold. Following the match Ken Lucas joins Gordon Solie and Charlie Platt, Ken says he has spent the last 6 months wrestling in Texas for Joe Blanchard’s Southwest Championship Wrestling but he’s happy to be back to the place he calls home, Southeastern. He says although this is his 1st appearance on TV, he been wrestling for a few weeks back in the towns he’s missed so much while being in Texas. On Christmas day Lucas won a title match of his choosing and this Monday he’s cashing in, being as he left after being injured defending the Tag Team Titles and never got a rematch, he’ll be choosing a Tag Team Title Match with The Heavenly Bodies. Gordon says that’s great but who will be your partner? “Well Gordon I’m glad you asked, when wrestling in Texas, I travelled the roads with a long time friend from the Alabama area, that being this man”. Roy Lee Welch comes to the announcer’s desk, he says it’s great to be back in Southeastern as everyone knows he has family ties here. But for now, he and Ken Lucas have their eyes set on the Tag Team Titles this Monday.

=== Run down of this week’s action coming to Alabama and Georgia ===

We return from the break with Gene Ligon and Josh Stroud in the ring waiting on their opponents The Hollywood Blondes, Ken Timbs and Eric Embry. The Blondes, making their in ring debut, made quite an impact at Superclash causing the Fabulous Ones to come up short in their Tag Team Title match with the Heavenly Bodies. The Blondes come out to the same ring music as the Fabulous Ones and are strutting like the Fabs, clearly the blondes are trying to mock and goad the Fabulous Ones. The Blondes make quick work of the team of Ligon and Stroud and defeat them in 6 minutes following a Stan Lane like Karate Kick from Eric Embry to Ligon followed by the pin. As the Blondes celebrate in the ring, Rick Stewart makes his way into the ring to conduct an interview with the Blondes. Stewart asks Embry and Timbs what their issue is with The Fabulous Ones, Embry tells Stewart that they don’t have a problem with The Fabulous Ones, more the Fabulous Ones have an issue with them, that’s the only reason they would copy the Hollywood Blondes look and moves, Stewart says he doesn’t believe that to be true, Timbs tell Stewart he doesn’t care what he thinks. From the back the Fabulous Ones charge the ring and try to get to the Blondes only for Embry and Timbs to slip out of the ring before they have a chance to get to them. The Fabulous Ones tell Rick Stewart that they aren’t copy cats and they will prove they are all original on Monday night in Birmingham.

We are now shown clips of the massive Southeastern Heavyweight Title Match where “Bullet” Bob Armstrong defeated The Flame. The new champ comes to the announcers table with 3 off his sons, Brad, Scott and Steve. “Bullet” introduces Steve as the latest member of the Armstrong family to join the wrestling ranks, and he will be forming a tag team with his brother Scott. Bob Armstrong says he’s so happy with his victory over the The Flame at Superclash, but now he must move on from The Flame at last. This Monday he is teaming with Scott and Steve against the Studd Stable team of Southeastern Television Champion Jimmy Golden and The Assassins. Scott and Steve Armstrong make their way to the ring and are facing off with The Nightmares, Danny Davis and Ken Wayne. The Nightmares have been having issues with Scott and Steve brother Brad and his partner Tim Horner as of late. In a competitive match, The Nightmares get the win, when Wayne and Davis swap over when The Armstrong brothers look like they’ve got the win, Steve goes to cover who he thinks is Wayne but it turns out to be Davis and he rolls him up for the 3 count at 7 minutes.

=== Run down of this week’s action coming to Alabama and Georgia ===

Stanley Blackburn comes to the announcers table, he invites Jimmy Golden to come out and join him. Stanley Blackburn informs Jimmy Golden that there will be some changes for the Television Title. Firstly Golden will be in line for a title match of his choice if he can retain the title 5 more times. But after that he will have to give the title up. Golden interrupts and says you might as well give me a title shot now, as I’ll never lose. Blackburn goes on to say the belt will be replaced by a trophy and will now be called the Beat the Champ Television Championship. Each week an opponent will be drawn at random by Gordon Solie and Charlie Platt, each match will have a 10 minute time limit. We will start following the break.

We return from the break and Gordon Solie and Charlie Platt have a brand new Television Championship Trophy standing next to them, Platt holds a bag open for Gordon Solie to select a name out of the bag, Solie puts his hand in and pulls out Marty Jannetty. The youngster Jannetty comes to the ring full of energy, he climbs into the ring and Golden attacks him straight away and barely lets him get to his feet. Golden finishes off Jannetty with a Piledriver in 2 minutes. Golden celebrates and says he wants another go, Solie tells Golden he will have to wait until next week. Jimmy Golden is now 1/5 in his quest for a title match.

=== Run down of this week’s action coming to Alabama and Georgia ===

Before today’s main event, The Heavenly Bodies along with Jim Cornette and Big Bubba Lynch come to the announcers table and address Ken Lucas’s decision to choose the Southeastern Tag Team Titles as his title match of choice. They laugh off the decision to choose Roy Lee Welch as his partner also, but Cornette says it’ll be a quiet night at the office as they should be able to finish off these two pretty quickly and get back out on the road. Ken Lucas and Roy Lee Welch come out to confront the Bodies and tell them, they’ve been up and down the roads here in Alabama, and two young punks like Eaton and Pritchard don’t worry them one bit. Now it’s time for tonight’s main event which see’s Southeastern Heavyweight Champion “Bullet” Bob Armstrong and Brad Armstrong defeat the team of Tommy Lane and Mike Davis in 9 minutes when “Bullet” Bob hits a Jaw Breaker on Davis followed by the pinful for the victory for the Armstrong Family.

SOUTHEASTERN CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING TV

Saturday 14th January 1984

Taped in front of a live studio audience at the WTBS Television Studio in Atlanta, GA

Hosted by Charlie Platt and Gordon Solie

Gordon Solie and Charlie Platt welcome us to another exciting week of Southeastern Championship Wrestling, this week we will see National Heavyweight Champion “Wildfire” Tommy Rich in action, Jimmy Golden will be here for his Beat The Champ Television Championship Challenge, Roy Lee Welch and Ken Lucas will be in action and much, much more. At this time we welcome Jimmy Golden, who joins us for his Beat The Champ Television Championship Challenge, last week Golden beat youngster Marty Jannetty to go 1/5. Jimmy Golden tells Solie and Platt that this exercise is pointless as he will steam roll all challenges on route to getting a title shot, which for everyone’s knowledge will be against “Bullet” Bob Armstrong for the Southeastern Heavyweight Championship, especially after pinning him this past Monday. Gordon and Charlie pull the bag out with this week’s names, Charlie holds the bag open for Gordon to choose, Solie puts his hand in and pulls out a piece of paper and reads the name, this weeks challenge is Larry Hamilton. Larry Hamilton comes to the ring and as he slides into the ring, and Golden lays in the boot, referee Dave Hebner pushes Golden back to allow him to get to his feet, Hebner calls for the bell. The match starts and Golden goes straight for Hamilton, Hamilton holds his own in there but Golden is just too much and gets the win following a Piledriver and the cover for the win at 6 minutes. Jimmy Golden is now 2/5 in his quest for a title match against either the National or Southeastern Heavyweight Champions.

=== Advert ===

The returning team of Ken Lucas and Roy Lee Welch join Gordon Solie and Charlie Platt at the announcer’s desk. Lucas and Welch tell Solie and Platt that they had the Bodies defeated this past Monday and Eaton was just about to pass out in the sleeper hold only for Jim Cornette to get involved costing them the victory. But not too worry they have gone to Stanley Blackburn with the footage and they have been granted a rematch for the Southeastern Tag Team Championship. This news brings out the champs, The Heavenly Bodies with manager Jim Cornette and Big Bubba Lynch. Jim Cornette is outraged and tells Gordon Solie and Charlie Platt that Stanley Blackburn has lost his mind if he thinks The Heavenly Bodies will defending their titles against these has bean’s again, especially as they beat them already. Gordon Solie informs Cornette that there is more, not only is there a rematch, but it’s going to happen in the main event later in the show, at this point Cornette and the Bodies are going wild. Gordon informs them that there’s one more stipulation he needs to tell them and that is both Cornette and Lynch will be barred from ringside, and if they do get involved the Heavenly Bodies will be stripped off their titles and suspended from Southeastern Championship Wrestling. The studio audience goes wild and today’s main event is set for later on in the show.

=== Run down of this week’s action coming to Alabama and Georgia ===

We return from the break with Mike Davis in the ring waiting for his opponent National Heavyweight Champion “Wildfire” Tommy Rich makes his way to the ring for their match. The match goes for about 6 minutes when Tommy Rich gets the win following a Thesz Press and the pin for the win. Following the match Tommy Rich makes his way to the announcers table. Rich tell Solie and Platt he’s loving life as National Champion and can’t wait for his next challenger once he’s done with Robert Fuller, as he knows Fuller has somehow managed to get a “Last Chance” Title match, but not to worry, if he doesn’t win this Monday he won’t be entitled to another title match for 6 months. Then all of a sudden the mystery blonde women who has twice made an appearance at live events to celebrate with Tommy Rich comes to the announcers table. She offers her hand to Rich and says she would just like 2 minutes of his time, she introduces herself as Nickla Roberts and she’s would like to offer her services as a valet to Tommy Rich. Rich says it’s a lovely offer, but he’s done okay on his own up until this point in his career and will decline. Nickla Roberts tell Rich he should reconsider, as she could be an asset in more ways than one. Again Rich declines, and walks off. Gordon Solie comforts Roberts who looks unhappy at the rejection, Robert’s mumbles under her breathe, Rich will regret the day he turned me down.

The Fabulous Ones join Gordon Solie and Charlie Platt following the break, Lane and Keirn says that they’ve had enough of the imposter going around pretending to be the Fabulous Ones and they are challenging the Hollywood Blondes to a “Come As You Are, Falls Count Anywhere” match on Monday evening in Birmingham to settle things. The Hollywood Blondes come out and say the Fabs are the imposters and have been coping them for years, they also say they will accept The Fabulous Ones challenge but on one condition, The Fabulous Ones have to put their name on the line? So if they lose, then they will no longer be known as the Fabulous Ones. Lane and Keirn accept and promise they are not worried about losing their name as there going to kick the tar out of the Blondes. The Blondes leave and The Fabs make their way to the ring for their match against The Medic’s. The Fabulous Ones defeat their opponents in 4 minutes following a Karate Kick from Lane to Medic #1. Following the bell, The Hollywood Blondes storm the ring and attack The Fabulous Ones and a brawl would kick off until the locker room empties to split the two teams up.

=== Run down of this week’s action coming to Alabama and Georgia ===

Robert Fuller with his brother Ron Fuller joins Gordon Solie and Charlie Platt, Robert Fuller says he ready for his final chance at Tommy Rich and the National Heavyweight Title this Monday and he knows he can regain his title. Then from the back, Nickla Roberts makes her way back out, she is now offering her services as a valet to Robert Fuller and together they will be able to hurt Rich where it really hurts and can take his title. Robert Fuller tells Roberts’ thanks but no thanks darling, he doesn’t need no broad in his corner messing things up for him and she should get stomping out of here as he needs to concentrate on regaining his National Heavyweight Championship. Nickla Roberts slaps Fuller across the face for the broad comment, Fuller grabs her and threatens to hit her, only to let go, and tell her he doesn’t want to see her face around here again. Robert leaves the announcers area and Gordon Solie tells Roberts maybe she should reconsider being a valet, she angrily snaps at Solie and tells him to leave her alone.

=== Advert ===

Next up Southeastern Heavyweight Champion “Bullet” Bob Armstrong comes to the ring for a match with Tommy Lane. In a competitive match Armstrong gets the win with a Jaw Breaker, the match went for 8 minutes, Lane jumped Armstrong at the bell to get the early advantage, but “Bullet” managed to turn around the match and get the win. Following the match Bob Armstrong joins Gordon Solie and Charlie Platt, “Bullet” tells Solie and Platt that although he was pinned by Golden this past Monday he knows Golden loaded his boot, and this Monday he wants a rematch but this time one-on-one. Jimmy Golden with manager Ron Fuller storm out, saying Armstrong is talking rubbish if he thinks he loaded his boot, he beat him fair and square in the middle of the ring. Armstrong says that if Golden is so confident and can beat him cleanly this week he will grant Golden a Southeastern Heavyweight Title match, but he knows Golden cant. Golden takes up “Bullet” on his challenge and then he says when he gets his 5th victory in the Beat The Champ Television Championship Challenge then he will have to face his cousin who he knows will win the National Heavyweight title this Monday against Tommy Rich and the Studd Stable will have all the titles.

=== Run down of this week’s action coming to Alabama and Georgia ===

Today’s main event see’s The Heavenly Bodies, Bobby Eaton and Tom Pritchard defending their titles against Roy Lee Welch and Ken Lucas. The Bodies look naked without Jim Cornette and Big Bubba Lynch in their corner. The Match starts off slow with Lucas and Welch trying to get their hands on the champs who are insisting on time wasting. When Lucas and Welch finally get some traction and get a hold of the champs the fight is on, every way the champs turn Welch and Lucas are there. The finish comes when Lucas clotheslines Eaton over the top rope to the floor and at the same time Welch and Pritchard are going at it, Pritchard goes for a dropkick and Welch dodges it, and slaps on the Fuller Lock and Pritchard gives up, the referee Dave Hebner calls for the bell, we have new tagt team champions, Welch and Lucas celebrate in the ring as we go off the air.

Great work! Love the lineup from start to finish.

The tag match was tremendous. Armstrong vs Armstrong. The Nightmares being Nightmares and The Bodies just too arrogant. Also love the format of the match.

Not sure how anyone could reject the services of Baby Doll but glad to see Wildfire still on top. Maybe Rich and Nicola Roberts came to some behind the scenes agreement.

The roster you have for that smaller card is going to be great real soon. Marty Jannetty, Shawn Michaels, Tracy Smothers, The Rock n Roll RPM's and the Assassins. That's some great 1980's names!

Tag Team wrestling. I love it. Lots of focus on the tag team division. Great stuff. The other matches revolving around championships makes this a really fun show. Adding the second card with THREE more tag team matches....insane, but in a great way in my eyes. I look forward to see what else will happen going forward.

We go for a commercial break and return with “Bullet” Bob Armstrong in the ring up against the Masked Raider. Bob Armstrong makes light work of the Raider and pins him after 4 minutes following a Jaw Breaker. “Bullet” Bob looks like he has put his frustrations shown on Monday night behind him and is focused on the task at hand which is Jimmy Golden. Following the match we are shown a video of The Flame who will be returning in a few week’s time, The Flame promises that no one will be safe when he returns, especially the Armstrong’s.

=== Run down of this week’s action coming to Alabama and Georgia ===

After the commercial break we go straight to the ring with the team of Mike Davis and Tommy Lane waiting in the ring for their opponents The Lightning Express. The fan favourites Armstrong and Horner make their way to the ring to great fanfare, Lane and Davis are not to be underestimated, and quickly take control of the match after the bell. The match goes for about 8 minutes when Brad Armstrong sets up Tommy Lane for the Russian Leg Sweep when Danny Davis and Ken Wayne storm the ring and attacked The Lightning Express, a 4-on-2 attack ensues until Steve and Scott Armstrong come running to the ring and save the Lightning Express from the beat down. Lane and Davis along with The Nightmares retreat to the back as The Lightning Express and The Armstrong Brothers make their way other to Charlie Platt and Les Thatcher, The Lightning Express thank Scott and Steve and lay out a challenge for next week on TV, The Express along with Scott & Steve against Lane & Davis and The Nightmares. They then turn their attention to Ken Lucas & Roy Lee Welch who they face this Monday night for the Tag Team Championship, both wrestlers say they are honoured be facing off with two of their heroes from their childhood but they have never been so focus then they are at the moment and their be bringing the titles home.

=== Advert ===

We are now joined by Jimmy Golden for the “Beat the Champ” Television Championship challenge. Golden who is now 2/5 on his quest for a title match of his choice, this process has been pretty straight forward for the champ with victories over Marty Jannetty and Larry Hamilton. Jimmy Golden says everything is going great for him at the moment, he will be taking the Southeastern Heavyweight Championship this Monday from “Has Been” Armstrong and then after his cousin wins back his National Heavyweight Title from Tommy Rich this Monday then they will concentrate their efforts on the winning the Tag Team Title and hold all the gold. Jimmy Golden gets into the ring and begins to warm up. Charlie Platt asks Les Thatcher to open the bag and he’ll pull a name out of it. Platt puts his hand in and shuffles around and pulls out a name, Platt says he doesn’t believe it, he announces the challenger this week as Johnny Rich. Golden is shocked, these two have quite the history, Johnny Rich runs to the ring and the match is on, Rich is a house of fire and Golden can’t up with. Rich is in complete control until Golden hits a low blow on Rich behind the referee’s back. The match goes a few more minutes when Charlie Platt announcers there is only a minute left, then again at 30 seconds, the studio audience begin to count down from 20 seconds. Johnny Rich hits a flying cross body block on Golden and covers him 1….2…..the bell rings, Johnny Rich defeats Jimmy Golden, Golden is in shock, Rich is celebrating. Dave Hebner the referee goes to the time keeper and then to Charlie Platt, Charlie Platt then announces that Johnny Rich although did beat Jimmy Golden, it took him 10 minutes and 2 seconds, therefore he isn’t the new “Beat the Champ” Television Champion. Jimmy Golden celebrates as if he’s won the world title, Charlie then goes on to say that due to neither man managing to get victory in the 10 minutes, we will start next week with two new wrestlers. Jimmy Golden is furious as Johnny Rich continues to celebrate his victory as we go off the air.

Tommy Rich in another huge cage match. First Buzz and now Fuller. Love it!

Tag Team rich Southeastern Wrestling: The champs, Horner& Armstrong, The Heavenly Bodies, Davis and Lane, The Nightmares.... Alabama has got some real choices to make here!

Armstrong & Golden for the Southeastern Belt.... those are two huge names in Alabama Wrestling. I love how you keep this somewhat historically correct and stay true to your roster. This might be my biggest weakness. I see a name and can't help myself and then they don't fit the promotion.

Another Rich family member messing with the Stud Stable. This is all going to come to head I imagine.

Great work!

Monday 23rd January 1984

Boutwell Auditorium, Birmingham, AL

Bell Time 7:30pm

1. The Opening match this week see’s Stan Lane of The Fabulous Ones defeat Ken Timbs of The Hollywood Blondes in 13 minutes following a Karate Style kick. Both men didn’t wait for the bell to ring, they just went straight for one another, and brawled around the ringside area and back into the ring.

-

2. The Heavenly Bodies, Bobby Eaton and Tom Pritchard with Jim Cornette and Big Bubba Lynch defeat The Armstrong Brothers, Scott and Steve Armstrong in 12 minutes, the end came when Steve Armstrong went to the top rope and Jim Cornette got up onto the apron and wobbled the top rope and Steve Armstrong fell to the mat, which was followed by Bobby Eaton climbing to the top rope and hitting an Alabama Jam on the fallen Armstrong for the 3 count.

-

3. Next up we have Steve Keirn of The Fabulous Ones facing off with Eric Embry of The Hollywood Blondes. Before the bell can even ring the two men are brawling with one another, a bit like their partners match earlier this evening. Before too long, Ken Timbs is out trying to help his partner which in turns brings out Stan Lane to even the odds, before we know it, all four men are brawling all around the arena. This match was classed as a no contest.

-

4. Southeastern Heavyweight Champion “Bullet” Bob Armstrong defeats Jimmy Golden with Ron Fuller in 18 minutes in a heated battle for the title. The finish came when “Bullet” Bob was dazed and Jimmy Golden was clearly passed something from Ron Fuller and put it in his tights to help finish off Armstrong. Seeing this happen from the back, Brad Armstrong ran to the ring, and highlighted to referee Dave Hebner that Golden had something in his tights, Hebner patted down Golden and found the brass knux and as soon as Golden had handed over the knux, “Bullet” Bob hit his Jaw Jacker on Golden and covered him for the victory. Brad celebrated with his father in the ring and indicated that he had told the referee that a bout the knux.

-

5. The Lightning Express Brad Armstrong and Tim Horner defeat Southeastern Tag Team Champions Ken Lucas and Roy Lee Welch in 15 minutes, when Brad Armstrong hit a Russian Leg Sweep on Lucas and covers him for the victory. The Story of the match was the youngster out pacing the veteran team before getting the win. The finish came when it looked like Roy Lee Welch was setting up for the Fuller Leg Lock when Lucas tagged himself in and caught a running dropkick from Tim Horner and stumbled into Brad who hit a Russian Leg Sweep. Following the match all four men shook hands, Roy Lee Welech was clearly annoyed about losing the titles.

-

6. Tonight’s main event sees National Heavyweight Champion “Wildfire” Tommy Rich and Robert Fuller with Ron Fuller face off in a steel cage match. This is Robert Fullers last title shot for 6 months if he loses the match. The match as you would expect was a blood bath, both men using the cage as a weapon, this feud is 6 months in the making, and Robert Fuller is putting everything on the line as he won’t receive a title shot for 6 months if he loses. After about 25 minutes the is a commotion from the back of the arena, it turns out that The Hollywood Blondes Eric Embry and Ken Timbs are running from the back to the ring to attack Ron Fuller on the outside of the cage. Jimmy Golden runs out to make the save on his cousin Ron, but the damage is done to Ron Fuller and The Blondes turn their attention to Golden and beat him down 2 on 1. We see the Blondes wave to the back and out comes Nickla Roberts who has a tall man following her, the tall man knocks out the referee and takes the key from him and opens the cage door. The unidentified man and The Hollywood Blondes who are clearly being directed by Nickla Roberts enter the cage and start to attack both Tommy Rich and Robert Fuller who are beating down as it is from the match itself. There is more commotion from the back as another man makes he’s way to the ring in a suit. The man enters the ring and is handed the key and he re locks the cage door and looks up and its none other than BUDDY LANDELL. All 4 men attack the bloody Rich and Fuller, now there are more and more wrestlers coming from the back to try and stop this attack, the fans at the Boutwell Auditorium are pushed up against the cage. The attack continues and Buddy Landell comes of the top rope onto Robert Fullers ankle as Embry and Timbs holds it, Landell then slaps on the Figure Four Leg Lock on Rich as the tall man, Embry and Timbs fight off people turning to climb over the top. Finally the door is opened and the local police surround the ring and clear a path for the Nickla Roberts and the 4 others to exit the arena.

Now that was some main event. Fuller, Rich, steel cage, A tall man, Buddy Landell, Baby Doll, The Hollywood Blondes, Jimmy Golden, Embry, Timbs and THE POLICE! Love some Southern WRASTLIN CHAOS!

All the big names seem to be in great angles and feuds which keeps Southeastern as one of my favorite promotions.

You also seem to have divided your smaller roster very well as there are still some big enough names to draw a crowd.

Continued success with Southeastern. Well done on the secondary show having angles to go along with the contests. I would have liked to have seen the six man on your main card with the Bodies and Armstrongs as they has been a nice addition to your card. You have also transformed Tommy Rich into one of the premiere players in this world of wrestling and he continues to be showcased in a strong way.

SOUTHEASTERN CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING TV

Saturday 28th January 1984

Taped in front of a live studio audience at the WTBS Television Studio in Atlanta, GA

Hosted by Charlie Platt and Gordon Solie

We join Gordon Solie and Charlie Platt at the WTBS television studio for Southeastern Championship Wrestling, Solie and Platt welcome the fans to another week of exciting action. But before we go to any action we must run through the ending of this past Mondays Birmingham card, unfortunately due to the nature of the footage, we are unable to show you the action, but we can show you still photos of what went down courtesy of PWI, we are shown the following…

Photo 1; Robert Fuller and “Wildfire” Tommy Rich wrestling inside the cage

Photo 2; Fuller forcing Rich’s head into the cage

Photo 3; The Hollywood Blondes attacking Ron Fuller outside the cage

Photo 4; Nickla Roberts and a mystery man make their way to the ring

Photo 5; The Blondes and the mystery man inside the cage attacking Rich and Fuller

Photo 6; Buddy Landell inside the ring

Photo 7; Landell has the figure four leg lock locked in on Tommy Rich

Photo 8; Landell, The Blondes, the mystery man and Nickla Roberts celebrate in the ring

Solie and Platt talk over the serious nature of the attack and let us know that Robert and Ron Fuller aren’t here today but signed for this Monday night in Birmingham a massive 6 man, when “Wildfire” Tommy Rich teams up with The Fabulous Ones to take on Buddy Landell and The Hollywood Blondes. There are boo’s heard from the other side of the studio as Nickla Roberts leads out her stable of wrestlers, The Hollywood Blondes, Ken Timbs & Eric Embry, Buddy Landell and the mystery man, who is wearing sunglasses and a leather bikers jacket. Solie tells Roberts that her men made quite the impact last Monday. Roberts tells Solie and Platt from now on out she is to be known as Baby Doll and these are her clients, The Hollywood Blondes, her personal body guard “Magnum” Scott Hall and “The Nature Boy” Buddy Landell. Landell takes over, he thanks Baby Doll for the introduction, he tells Gordon Solie and Charlie Platt that he is here for one reason and one reason only and that’s to be National Heavyweight Champion, and unfortunately that is held by Tommy Rich, and after he and the Hollywood Blondes defeat Rich and The Fabulous Ones he’ll be coming for his title, and then moving onto the AWA World Heavyweight Title, he says he’s the only true Nature Boy in professional wrestling.

=== Advert ===

We return with Gene Ligon and Billy Travis in the ring with Jim Cornette who introduces his team as the soon to be 3 time Southeastern Tag Team Champions, “Beautiful” Bobby Eaton and “The Doctor of Love” Tom Pritchard, the Heavenly Bodies. The Heavenly Bodies who face off with champions Brad Armstrong and Tim Horner the Lightning Express this Monday, make light work of their opponents and get the win in 4 minutes when Bobby Eaton hits Travis with an Alabama Jam from the top rope and covers him for the victory. Following the match, Cornette and the Heavenly Bodies leave the ringside and join Gordon Solie and Charlie Platt, Cornette who as ever is followed by his "Insurance Policy" Big Bubba Lynch says this Monday they get their titles back and the Lightning Express might as well just hand them over. The Lightning Express come out and says there isn’t a chance in hell they are handing over these belts so they better bring their A game this monday night. Eaton and Pritchard clearly not liking being the challengers attack The Lightning Express and a brawl ensues, the Lightning Express manage to turn the tables following the cheap shot and send the Bodies packing.

=== Run down of this week’s action coming to Alabama and Georgia ===

Gordon Solie and Charlie Platt welcome former tag team champions Ken Lucas and Roy Lee Welch, who lost their titles last Monday in Birmingham, Lucas says that on the day, they were beaten by the better team, Welch looks at him and says he doesn’t totally agree with that, but they were beaten. Lucas continues and says tonight they get back on track towards winning their titles back starting with Mike Davis and Tommy Lane. Lane and Davis are in the ring as Welch and Lucas make their way towards the ring when Roy Lee Welch turns Lucas around a catches him with a stiff clothesline which knocks him to the ground, Welch then gets on top of Lucas and starts to pound him with rights and lefts, he then grabs Lucas’ head and slams into on the studio floor, busting Lucas open. With Ken Lucas laying on the ground, Roy Lee Welch makes his way back to Solie and Platt who are shocked by what their have just seen, Welch tells Solie and Platt that they lost the title because Ken Lucas tagged himself in and lost the titles, and that’s something I can never forgive and thats why i want Lucas on Monday night in Birmingham.

As medics deal with Ken Lucas, Mike Jackson and Marty Jannetty make their way to the ring to replace Welch and Lucas. Davis and Lane defeat them in 5 minutes following a Back Body Drop to Marty Jannetty into a Powerbomb from Davis followed by the pin.

=== Advert ===

We return with this week’s “Beat the Champ” Television Championship Challenge, Gordon Solie and Charlie Platt explain as Johnny Rich couldn’t defeat Jimmy Golden in 10 minutes last week, but did defeat him, he will be this week’s first wrestler, and his opponent will be chosen at random. Charlie Platt brings out a bag with everyones name in, Solie puts his hand into the bag and pulls out Nightmare Danny Davis name. Davis makes his way to the ring and the match starts, the contest is very even in the early parts, towards the 8 minute mark, with Johnny Rich in control, Rich hits Davis with a running cross body block that knocks Danny Davis out of the ring. Rich concerned about the time, goes to leave the ring to get Davis, but referee Dave Hebner blocks him, then from the back Ken Wayne runs out and rolls Davis under the ring and takes his place. Wayne stumbles back into the ring and Johnny Rich goes to pick him up, but Wayne grabs Rich and rolls him up into a small cradle and gets the 3 count. Ken Wayne rolls to the outside and celebrates on the outside while Rich is surprised about what has just happened. As he checks with the referee that it was a 3 count, he sees Danny Davis roll out from under the ring and leave with his partner Ken Wayne.

=== Run down of this week’s action coming to Alabama and Georgia ===

We return from the break and Jimmy Golden storms out to the announcers table, he is hot and demands he wants answers from Baby Doll as to why she thinks she can attack the Studd Stable, he says that his cousin is pretty beaten up and doesn't know when he will be back in action. Baby Doll with Scott Hall come out and tell Golden, it was all business and if he doesn’t like it then maybe he should leave. Golden tells Baby Doll that he knows the business she is in, Baby Doll takes offence to this a slaps Golden. Golden looks up and goes to grab Baby Doll but Scott Hall steps in the way and then from nowhere The Hollywood Blondes charge from out of the back and attack Golden from behind. A 3 on 1 beat down happens, until Baby Doll calls them off Golden and leaves the studio. The problem Jimmy Golden will have is that with Robert and Ron Fuller both on the shelf, he doesn’t have many allies.

=== Advert ===

We are back with Doug Vines in the ring awaiting his opponent Southeastern Heavyweight Champion “Bullet” Bob Armstrong. Bullet makes his way to the ring, the bell rings and in a competitive match Armstrong gets the win after 7 minutes following a Jaw Breaker. Following the match, “Bullet” Bob comes to the announcers table and says he knows he’s got a title defence against a returning star this Monday night in the shape of Norvell Austin, Armstrong says he’s know Austin a long time and it’ll be a tough challenge. He also says he has no love lost for the Fuller’s and Golden, but he wants Rich to know if he needs any help against Landell and his cronies then he’s always here.

=== Run down of this week’s action coming to Alabama and Georgia ===

Today’s main event see’s the team of Scott and Steve Armstrong along Mr Wrestling facing off with Buddy Landell and The Hollywood Blondes, Eric Embry and Ken Timbs who have Baby Doll with Scott Hall in their corner. The match is a good showcase for the new stable of Landell, Timbs and Embry, the match goes for about 5 minutes when Jimmy Golden storms the ring and begins to attack Eric Embry and Ken Timbs causing a DQ victory for Landell and The Blondes. Golden attack quickly turns into a 4-on-1 when Landell and Hall get involved. Then from the back comes “Wildfire” Tommy Rich and The Fabulous Ones and a 4-on-4 brawl breaks out. All 8 men brawl until the show goes off the air.

=== Show Ends ===

Just love the flow of the TV show. From angle to angle, I could feel the action.

Heavenly Bodies vs Lightening Express- Two great 1980's team battling it out is great. Throw in Cornette and Lynch, it is perfect.

Roy Lee Welch turn to heel. Classic. Could I see a family reunion down the road.

Beat The Champ is a fun angle by itself, throw it a little Nightmare switch and it is great.

"Just call me Baby Doll" angle and her new stable and a brawl makes everyone happy. Wrestling fans like it and males in general love it.

Bob Armstrong to the wild brawl at the end with Rich and the Fab Ones rushing out to the screaming fans.

This is like a classic Saturday night TBS show when I was 12. Send this in to Vince McMahon and wrestling could be good again.

SOUTHEASTERN CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING TV

Saturday 11th February 1984

Taped in front of a live studio audience at the WTBS Television Studio in Atlanta, GA

Hosted by Charlie Platt and Gordon Solie

Taped in front of a live studio audience at the WTBS studio in Atlanta, our host’s again this week will be none other than Gordon Solie and Charlie Platt. They welcome us to the show and run through this evening show, we will be seeing The Fabulous Ones in action, Tim Horner will be in single action against The Flame, we will hear from National Heavyweight Champion “Wildfire” Tommy Rich and who he is selecting as the special guest referee for his upcoming title match with Buddy Landell. But before all that we will go to the ring where The Masked Yankee is ready for his match with Ken Lucas. Lucas who was again cheated this past Monday in his match with his former tag team partner Roy Lee Welch. Lucas has a competitive match with this newcomer the masked but Lucas’s experience is too much and he gets the win following a Sleeper Hold at 6 minutes. Ken Lucas joins Solie and Platt at the announcers table, Ken Lucas tells Gordon and Charlie that he has spoken with the match makers and this week in Birmingham on Monday, he and Roy Lee Welch will face off in a special 2 out of 3 falls match, which he knows he can win as he knows there’s no way the referee can miss seeing him hold the ropes more than once in one match, and he promises to settle the score.

=== Advert ===

Next up we have the Hollywood Blondes with Baby Doll come out, Baby Doll tells Gordon Solie and Charlie Platt that Buddy Landell and Magnum Scott Hall aren’t here this week, their off looking at new private jets to fly everyone from town to town when Landell wins the National Heavyweight Championship. Embry, Timbs and Doll then turn their attention to the Jimmy Golden, The Blondes send out a tag team challenge to Jimmy Golden this Monday in Birmingham, that’s if he can find himself a partner, they joke about how both Robert and Ron Fuller are on the shelf and it’s no secret that Golden isn’t the most liked of people in Southeastern Championship Wrestling. The Blondes now make their way to the ring for their match with The Armstrong Brothers Scott and Steve. The Blondes get the win following a DDT from Embry to Steve Armstrong followed by the cover for the 3 count at 8 minutes. Following the bell, Jimmy Golden charges the ring, and attacks Embry and Timbs until they leave the ring and escape to the back with Baby Doll. Jimmy Golden walks over to Gordon Solie and Charlie Platt, he’s says he may of burnt a lot of bridges over the past ten years but he’s got the perfect partner in mind for this Monday.

=== Run down of this week’s action coming to Alabama and Georgia ===

We are shown two VTR’s of Nightmare Danny Davis past two defenses in his “Beat the Champ” Television Championship, one over Johnny Rich and the other being Mr Wrestling. Both weeks he has swapped places with his partner Nightmare Ken Wayne behind the referee back. Danny Davis is waiting in the ring for this week’s draw with his partner on the outside. Charlie Platt holds open the bag and Gordon Solie dips his hand into the bag and pulls out a name, he looks and sniggers to himself, Gordon shows Charlie the name, Platt with a similar smirk. Gordon reads out the name as Nightmare Ken Wayne, Davis is shocked. Wayne gets into the ring, him and Davis have a talk and shake hands. The bell rings, both men look quite reluctant to hit one another, both men go to lock up, and then break, this happens several times, then Davis hits the ropes, and hits Wayne with the lightest of light shoulder blocks, Wayne goes to the mat, and Davis covers him for the 3 count. Gordon Solie puts over how much of a farce this match was as Danny Davis goes 3/5 in his quest for a title match.

=== Advert ===

The Fabulous Ones who challenge the Southeastern Tag Team Champions The Heavenly Bodies this week in Birmingham, these teams have met 4 times in the past and this will be the rubber match in this feud as the last time these two teams met it ended in a DQ as The Hollywood Blondes attacked the Fabs at Superclash. Tommy Lane and Mike Davis are waiting in the ring for their tag team match this evening against The Fabulous Ones. As the Fabulous Ones make their way to the ring, they are jumped by the tag champs Bobby Eaton and Tom Pritchard along with Big Bubba Lynch, they beat down the Fabulous Ones on the outside of the ring, which included Bobby Eaton coming off the middle rope to the floor hitting an Alabama Jam on Steve Keirn and Big Bubba Lynch hitting a big splash on Lane on the floor. This is clearly an attack to put the Fabs out of their tag title match on Monday.

=== Run down of this week’s action coming to Alabama and Georgia ===

Rich says he has decided who he wants to be special guest referee, he invites his cousin out Johnny Rich, Tommy Rich says you can’t have more trust than with family. We wait a minute or so and Johnny Rich doesn’t come out, then from the back comes Southeastern Heavyweight Champion “Bullet” Bob Armstrong, “Bullet” tells Tommy that Johnny took off after his match this evening with his boys Steve and Scott, but as he’s here he wanted to offer his services, he said that he won the match last Monday and he can trust him like family. Gordon Solie reminds Tommy Rich he must have a signature on the contract tonight so they can have it all processed through Stanley Blackburn. Tommy Rich says that he doesn’t have much of a choice if Johnny Rich isn’t here, and he love Bob Armstrong to be the referee, “Bullet” signs the contract. National Heavyweight Champion :- "Nature Boy" Buddy Landell

Southeastern Heavyweight Champions:- "Bullet" Bob Armstrong

Southeastern Tag Team Champions :- The Heavenly Bodies (Bobby Eaton & Tom Pritchard

"Beat the Champ" Television Championship :- Nightmare Danny Davis [3/5]

The opening credits roll, and we pan over to Charlie Platt and a returning Rick Stewart sitting at the announcers desk, Charlie welcomes back Rick to the announcer’s booth. Charlie Platt announces that he has two huge bits of news, first being Southeastern Championship Wrestling is very happy to announce its return to East Tennessee after 4 long years, a full list of event will be advertised in our commercial break, and just to add to this, Southeastern Championship Wrestling will also be running TV tapings at the Knoxville Civic Centre bi-weekly. Rick pipes in and says that great news, Charlie says that isn’t all, due to Stanley Blackburn having a full plate of work in the AWA, he has installed Les Thatcher as the official match maker for Southeastern Championship Wrestling, Rick says thats great news.

Charlie says that’s the good news out the way now for some bad, and I think I can see it coming now. Over walks “Bullet” Bob Armstrong to a sea of boos from the studio audience, Armstrong has the Southeastern Championship belt over one shoulder, a towel covered in blood over the other smoking a cigarette. He asks Rick Stewart to move so he can sit down. Charlie Platt angrily asks Bob what he was thinking this pass Monday when he turned on his friend Tommy Rich, Armstrong explained he was fed up with the Rich’s running around like they owned Alabama, Alabama is Armstrong territory, he says he’s going to carry this towel around like a championship belt, it’s the blood of the now departed Tommy “Wildfire” Rich. Charlie informs Armstrong that Johnny Rich is still here and Les Thatcher has signed a match for this Monday for your Southeastern Heavyweight Title, Bob chuckles to himself, well next week I’ll have two towels covered in blood, and then we will be completely cleared Alabama of Rich’s. He goes on to say that’s why he likes Buddy Landell, Landell has managed in a few weeks what Tommy Rich couldn’t do in months and get rid of those Fuller’s. Charlie Platt then asks how his boys Brad, Scott and Steve feels about what he did this past week, Armstrong turns and firmly tells Platt that he did this for his boys, the Rich’s were getting to big, and Alabama belongs to the Armstrong’s and now the problem has gone.

We return from the break with Tony Falk in the ring waiting for his opponent this week. Out comes to a big cheer from the studio audience Ken Lucas, Ken Lucas who defeated Roy Lee Welch this past week 2 falls to 0 in a 2-out-3 falls match. Lucas has been awarded a National Heavyweight Title match for this Monday in Birmingham. Lucas defeats Falk in around 4 minutes following a Sleeper Hold. Following the match Ken Lucas joins Platt and Stewart, Lucas says he wants to thank Les Thatcher for securing him a title match against Buddy Landell and he promises to restore some faith in the fans hearts by bringing the title back to someone the fans can be proud off.

=== Run down of this week’s action coming to Alabama and East Tennessee ===

Following the break we have Nightmare Danny Davis in the ring for his 4th match in his “Beat the Champ” Television Championship Challenge, last week in a complete mockery, Davis defeated his partner Ken Wayne. Rick Stewart pulls the bag out from under the table and Charlie puts his hand in, shuffles about and then pulls a name out, he looks at it and reads it out, and it’s Scott Armstrong. Armstrong makes his way to the ring with his brother in toe, Steve Armstrong tells Charlie, he's out here to make sure Ken Wayne doesn’t get involved. The bell rings and the match is under way, the match goes for about 8 minutes when Davis manages to get the win, following a Tombstone Piledriver after a very competitive match. Ken Wayne jumps into the ring to celebrate with his partner who is now only 1 win away from a title match. As Scott and Steve go to leave, Charlie Platt calls them over, Charlie asks them about their father, Steve tells Charlie, they think it’s very out of sorts of their father and hopefully they can win him round into a right way of thinking.

The Masked Yankee is in the ring waiting for his opponent, Johnny Rich makes his way to the ring, with a very emotional and determined looked on his face from what happened to his cousin. We go for about 4 minutes when “Bullet” Bob Armstrong comes out and sits on commentary. When Johnny notice’s he walks over to the announcers desk and slaps Armstrong and a brawl kicks off between the two. Until the locker rooms empties to split the pair up, these two will meet on Monday for the Southeastern Heavyweight Championship.

Following the melee new National Heavyweight Champions Buddy Landell, Baby Doll, Eric Embry and Ken Timbs come out to the announcers desk. Baby Doll tells Charlie Platt to formally introduce the new National Heavyweight Champion, he goes to do it, but Landell cuts him off, and tells him he doesn’t need his introductions, everyone should know who he is. He tells Charlie Platt that he’s only been in Alabama for a few weeks now and he’s already got rid of Robert & Ron Fuller and now “Wildfire” Tommy Rich, and this week he’ll be dealing with another so-called Alabama legend in Ken Lucas, hell next week I might even need to take you out Charlie Platt. We heard a commotion from the back of the studio, its Jimmy Golden and The Mongolian Stomper, Jimmy Golden tells Landell he seems to have forgotten an Alabama legend that’s rearing to go in himself, he tells Landell that they are both ready to fight whenever, and he is openly challenging Landell to put his title on the line against him. Landell says he will compromise saying that if Golden and Stomper can defeat Embry and Timbs this Monday night that the person who gets the winning fall will be given a title match in two weeks’ time, Golden and Stomper agree. Landell tells Baby Doll, Embry and Timbs their business is done here and there enjoy watching Golden and Stomper in action.

=== Run down of this week’s action coming to Alabama and East Tennessee ===

We return from the break with the Devil’s Duo of Jeff Sword and Doug Vines in the ring facing off with Jimmy Golden and The Mongolian Stomper. The Mongolian Stomper making his return to the Southeastern territory last week to team with Jimmy Golden. Golden and Stomper made light work of the Devil’s Duo and pinned Sword after a Piledriver at 6 minutes. Following the bell, Eric Embry and Ken Timbs charged to the ring and attacked Golden and Stomper, only for Stomper and Golden to fight them off and were left standing in the ring as the Hollywood Blondes retreated.

Following the break we have the Southeastern Tag Team Champions The Heavenly Bodies, with Jim Cornette and Big Bubba Lynch. Jim Cornette sits down with Charlie Platt and Rick Stewart as the champs make their way into the ring for their match with Mr Wrestling and Marty Jannetty. While on commentary Jim Cornette tells Plat and Stewart that his tag team champions have defeated everyone worth defeating and they hav at a point where they may have to start leaving the territory to find some competition, when suddenly a phone rings and Charlie Platt answers it and passes the phone to Jim Cornette saying its Les Thatcher, Cornette still running his mouth asks Thatcher if he’s going to be getting his team any competition, Thatcher replies and tell him that he has the perfect team for him this Monday night, and that it’ll be a surprise, Cornette says he can’t wait and hangs the phone up. SOUTHEASTERN CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING TV

Saturday 25th February 1984

Taped in front of a live studio audience at the Knoxville Civic Centre, Knoxville, TN

Hosted by Charlie Platt and Rick Stewart

National Heavyweight Champion :- "Nature Boy" Buddy Landell

Southeastern Heavyweight Champions:- "Bullet" Bob Armstrong

Southeastern Tag Team Champions :- The Heavenly Bodies (Bobby Eaton & Tom Pritchard

"Beat the Champ" Television Championship :- Nightmare Danny Davis [4/5]

The credits roll and we are in front of a studio audience at the Knoxville Civic Centre, your host’s are Charlie Platt and Rick Stewart. Charlie and Rick welcome the fans to another exciting week of Southeastern Championship Wrestling. Tonight we have the National Heavyweight Champion teaming with the Hollywood Blondes in 6 man action, The Mongolian Stomper will be in action, Roy Lee Welch is here and so much more. Before we get started with the action we will joined by the wrestler who so nearly captured the Southeastern Heavyweight Title this past Monday, Johnny Rich. Johnny comes to the announcers table to join Charlie Platt and Rock Stewart, Rich says he was so close to winning the Southeastern Title this past week and it would have been the greatest moment of his career, now he has spoken with Les Thatcher, and due to Bob Armstrong getting himself disqualified, he has agreed to giving me a rematch this Monday in Birmingham Alabama. This announcement brings out the champion Bob Armstrong, Armstrong swaggers out, similar to last week, cigarette in mouth, bloody towel over one shoulder and Southeastern Heavyweight Title over the other. Armstrong says he has no issue with defending his title again this week, but he has a stipulation he wants added, or he’s invoking his 28 day title rule, Johnny asks what it is, “Bullet” informs Rich that if he loses the match then he has to leave Southeastern Championship Wrestling for good, like his cousin “Wildfire” Tommy Rich. Johnny agrees and say he wants to apologise to Brad, Scott and Steve Armstrong his good friends for the beating he’s going to give their father on Monday, Armstrong just chuckles and strolls off. Charlie Platt confirms, that this Monday we will have Johnny Rich vs “Bullet” Bob Armstrong title vs career.

After a quick break we return with youngster Shawn Michaels out of San Antonio, Texas. Shawn Michaels was trained but Jose Lothario, and looks to have quite the career. His opponent this week is Southeastern stalwart Roy Lee Welch, Welch who has been having his fair share of problems with Ken Lucas these past few months, made a massive impact this past Monday when he cost Ken Lucas his title opportunity against Buddy Landell’. The bell rings and Welch is on the attack straight away. Welch gets the win after 5 minutes of toying with the youngster when he made him submit to the sleeper hold, a move that is a favourite of Ken Lucas. Welch celebrates like he’s just won the world title, only for Ken Lucas to charge the ring and attack Roy Lee Welch, Lucas only manages to get a few blows in before Welch manages to roll out of the ring. Lucas checks on Michaels, Welch goes over to Platt and Stewart, he says he’s had enough of having to prove himself against Ken Lucas, Lucas tells Welch the feeling is mutual and this Monday he’s challenging Welch to a Alabama Death Match, where the only way to win is for the other wrestler to give up in a submission hold, Welch agrees out of anger at being attacked.

=== Run down of this week’s action coming to Alabama and East Tennessee ===

We heard a lot of commotion from the back of the studio as we return from the commercial break, its Robert Gibson and Ricky Morton, The Rock N Roll Express. They join Platt and Stewart, they tell them that they are over the moon to be here in Southeastern Championship Wrestling, in the heart of Dixie. And they are here for one thing and one thing only and that’s to become Southeastern Tag Team Champions and to do that they have to defeat one of the best teams around in the Heavenly Bodies, and this past Monday they nearly did. But not too worry fans, we will have plenty of other opportunities coming up. They are aware the Heavenly Bodies aren’t here this week, but they are looking forward to their return so they can challenge again. Jim Cornette accompanied by Big Bubba Lynch comes to the announcers table, Cornette in a high pitched squeal almost, tells the Express they don’t deserve a title match, and they need to work their way up from the bottom. Ricky Morton tells Cornette their happy to do that if it means they get a title match, Gibson jumps in and says they are the best tag team in the world and will prove it by winning the Southeastern Tag Team Title. The Rock N Roll Express ask Cornette if he’s finished as they have a match to get too. The Devil’s Duo, Jeff Sword and Doug Vines are in the ring. The Devil’s Duo attack the Rock n Roll as they walk through the ropes, the bell rings and Sword and Vines are in control, but it doesn’t take long for the tide to turn and the Rock N Roll Express get the win after 7 minutes of action, following a Double Dropkick on Vines followed by Gibson covering him for the 3 count.

We return with Jimmy Golden sitting at the announcer’s desk with Charlie Platt and Rick Stewart and the number one contender to the National Heavyweight Championship, The Mongolian Stomper. Platt tells Golden that Landell’s plan really backfired, firstly the Hollywood Blondes couldn’t defeat you, and secondly we knew that he thought you and the Stomper couldn’t work together when their was a title match on the line. Jimmy Golden laughs and say it just shows how stupid Landell and his goons are, I will get my chance at Landell, but I’ve know the Mongolian Stomper a long time and I know he’ll destroy Landell this Monday in Birmingham. Charlie Platt then asks how Golden cousins Robert and Ron are doing, Golden tells Platt that they are on the mend and there load of pain coming Landell’s way when the Fullers return. Waiting in the ring for The Mongolian Stomper in this special 2-on-1 contest is the Masked Raider and The Shadow. Golden indicates to the Stomper to go to the ring, Stomper steams into the ring and completely mauls the two masked men. Stomper double pins both men after simply destroying them. Golden who spent the match on commentary says Buddy Landell better be ready for Monday because the Mongolian Stomper is.

=== Run down of this week’s action coming to Alabama and East Tennessee ===

Next up we have a very special contest, we have Nightmare Danny Davis in his 5th of 5 matches in his “Beat the Champ” Television Championship Challenge. Charlie Platt and Rick Stewart invites Danny Davis to the ring, Davis as ever is followed by partner Ken Wayne. Rick Stewarts pulls the infamous bag from under the table out as Charlie Platt puts his hand into it, and pulls out a piece of paper opens it up, its Brad Armstrong. Brad makes his way to the ring with his partner Tim Horner in toe. The bell rings and the match is on, in a fast paced affair that goes for about 7 minutes when it looks like Brad Armstrong has the victory following a Side Russian Leg Sweep, only for Danny Davis, to have some wits about him as he rolls out, concerned about the time limit, Brad wants to go out and him, but the referee stops this. Ken Wayne goes to check on him, and quickly swaps masks and rolls back in with Brad and the referee back to what’s happen. Brad goes to pick him out, only for Wayne pretending to be Davis, catches Brad with a school boy roll up and gets a 3 count. Ken Wayne and Danny Davis celebrate in the ring, when another referee runs to the ring and shows the first referee what happen, the referee calls for the match to restart, while Danny Davis argues with the official, Brad Armstrong hits a Drop Kick to Davis and covers him for the 3 count and the win to go 1/5 in the “Beat the Champ” Television Championship Challenge. Finally The Nightmares had the comeuppance at the worst possible time.

Following the break, Charlie Platt and Rick Stewart are joined by National Heavyweight Champion Buddy Landell, Eric Embry, Ken Timbs and Baby Doll. Baby Doll tells Platt and Stewart that it doesn’t matter who the champ has to face this Monday, he will put them out of action and the Mongolian Stomper will be no different. Landell jumps in and says he’s the best in the business and you could anyone at him, and he’s challenging any world champion to come to Southeastern so he can take their title. Landell and The Hollywood Blondes go the ring waiting on their opponents. Norvell Austin, Mr Wrestling and Scott Armstrong come to the ring and the bell rings and the match is underway. Half way through the match and Scott has been isolated from the rest of his team, “Bullet” Bob Armstrong comes to the announcers table to join commentary team. Scott Armstrong is being isolated as the weak link of the team and Charlie Platt asks Bob Armstrong what he thinks about his son getting a beating in the ring, Bob Armstrong replies by saying it can only roughen him up, he’s an Armstrong, he’s build of strong stuff. Landell, Embry and Timbs get the victory when Eric Embry hits a DDT on Mr Wrestling and covers him for the 3 count. Following the bell Jimmy Golden and The Mongolian Stomper storm the ring and attack The Hollywood Blondes, as Buddy Landell slides out before Golden and Stomper can get to him. Landell retreats while the 4 man brawl is continuing in the ring. Bob Armstrong joins Landell as he goes to leave, only for Johnny Rich charges from the back and attacks Bob Armstrong, Rich is laying a beating on Armstrong as the screen fades to black.
