But first, I have a few questions for Rudman, who turns 86 on Sunday - and whose philanthropic mission is, like his taste in pop music, catholic.

Despite his having been "born Jewish, but only on my mother's . . . and father's side," he says, savoring the punch line.

I watched Kal interview Bam Bam Bigelow on a June 1988 Spectrum broadcast last night. It was hillarious watching Bigelow try to hold character while answering some of the oddest questions from Kal. He was trying so hard to be menacing for his upcoming match with One Man Gang but Kal was asking questions that were totally taking him out of the moment.

I watched "Dick and Kal's Masterpiece" on Jerryvon K's YouTube page three times last night. It's one of the greatest things ever.
