NotJayTabb
News seems to have broken on Twitter that Kris Travis died this morning. Absolutely heartbreaking news. Aside from being a standout performer on the UK scene, he was by all accounts a lovely guy. Only met him once, where he was very friendly, and he's done loads of work to raise money for the local cancer hospital which looked after him since his diagnosis. His in-ring comeback last year was genuinely inspiring before the news broke though that the cancer was back, and this news is a real sledgehammer blow. Ship Canal
This is absolutely crushing news and I've been in tears since I heard. There should be ten bell salutes before every show in the country this coming week. R.I.P Trav, so happy I was lucky enough to see you work while you were still with us. Devastated doesn't even cover it.
cheapshot
I've seen Kris live more than any other Wrestler. This news has floored me. When a US import was brought in to PCW for instance, 9 times out of 10, it'd be Kris who'd be the one working with them. He had the look, he could work and he could do a great firey babyface promo. He was a talent and he will be greatly missed by me. RIP Shooting Star.
Luchaundead
When I first started getting in the modern UK scene I said there are 2 guys that will be big worldwide stars soon the first on the like was Kris Travis the second Will Osprey obviously Osprey is fulfilling his destiny while Travis the stronger all around performer had unfortunate set backs I thought at the time but, will be back and better than before when he did come back I so excited to finally see him again not only for myself as a fan but for him. I never met the man or saw him perform live but I haven't heard of a single person having a bad thing to say about him RIP

What I'd also add is that he was a magnificent really hateable heel in Project Ego with Martin Kirby and an excellent tag worker too. I remember an ICW show at the Garage I attended a few years ago where he took part in a four way tag and he managed to epitomize everything that the ICW crowd hates the most - preening, cocksure, pretty boy, hipster arrogance of the highest degree and it drew some insane heat. I'll post some of his best matches available on youtube as soon as I've figured out how to embed video... EDIT: If anyone knows what I'm doing wrong with those embed links do let me know, I've never figured this out, apologies.
cactus
Gutted by this. Kris was a great talent taken from us way too soon. I only saw him wrestle once and that was at a RevPro show a few years back. He teamed with Kirby to face Will Osprey and Paul Robinson. It was an absolute blinder of a tag match and gave me faith in the British scene. RIP.
NotJayTabb
Trav was so talented and versatile. I remember the first HOPE show, where he faced faux-superheroes Battle Squad Awesome in a comedy tag match (including Travis disappearing halfway through to put on his own superhero costume as Spider-Trav), then he appeared in the 4-way main event with Mark Haskins, Chris Andrews and Doug Williams, and looked totally natural in both situations. NotJayTabb
Lovely Travis tribute from Balor tonight with the Shooting Stars painted on his hand. The PCW Twitter feed also highlighted that Joe/Balor had the same ending as Travis/Masters, which was one of Trav's breakout matches. Could well be a coincidence, but it'd be a nice touch if not. Ship Canal
Haven't seen Takeover yet so had to quickly look away from Jay's last comment but Southside Wrestling posted this footage of their ten bell salute and tribute video for Trav. Its very, very moving, so I don't suggest watching if you are just about to leave the house or are at work or anything like that. I'm still so very gutted about this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zpbVFb5yCTU
NotJayTabb
Thanks for sharing that. Think I made it to the part where they focus in on Mark Andrews before welling up

Luchaundead
It was really nice to see all the Kris Travis tributes over the weekend of shows brought a tear to my eye every time.
