LowBlowPodcast
Your Memphis stuff has definitely captivated me to the point of starting a 1983 TEW with Memphis and running Jerry Lawler all over everyone. Fantastic things here from start to finish and it is good to see the King on top. I am interested to see who can raise up against him in the long run. I am looking forward to the WWF and CWA working together and how things will fair with Randy Savage vs the King!

GeneJackson95
CWA Championship Wrestling WMC TV-5 Studios Memphis, TN. Saturday June 9, 1984 Airing Live 11am cst- 12:30pm cst (NOTE: These next couple of TV shows will continue to be in a recap format til I'm completely caught up) This week's show opened up with highlights of Jerry Lawler defeated Tommy 'Wildfire' Rich to win the USWA World Heavyweight Title and then being attacked by the masked man who revealed himself to be Randy "Macho Man" Savage. Lawler comes out with the title belt and Russell congratulates the King on winning his first World title but asks how shocked was he to learn that Rich wasn't the masked man after all? Lawler responded that he's not convinced it was Savage all along, he thinks that Rich/Savage "in cahoots" working against him. A promo airs of Savage standing in front of a WWF logo w/Ms. Elizabeth saying he's going to come to Memphis and take the USWA title from Lawler and bring it back to New York….he tells Ms. Elizabeth she can stay home because Memphis wouldn't know how to treat a lady. They go back to Lawler who says that Savage made a huge mistake jumping on him and he's gonna send him back to New York where he belongs and he will regret the day he showed his face in "The King's House". Opening match saw the tv debut of Spike Huber defeating Carl Fergie with a powerslam A clip of last week's match between Billy Graham and Bill Dundee was shown where Graham split Dundee's head open with a glass bottle. A match has been signed Monday night between the two which will be a "First Blood" match and Dundee has vowed revenge on the "Wannabe Superstar"! Second Match saw The Invaders defeat The Memphis Vice when Invader 1 pinned Jerry Bryant A promo aired from 'the Fallen Angel' Woman….she says that she has formed an "Unholy Alliance" between Humongous and Leatherface and that they will be back on TV-5 soon and they will be bringing hell with them. Third match of the day was a Television Title defense that saw the Champion The Honky Tonk Man w/Col. Sonny King defeat Bugsy McGraw with help from Sonny King behind the ref's back once again. A video aired showing Hillbilly Jim and Plowboy Frazier on the farm "training" for their match this week with the Bruise Brothers. Fourth match featured "Handsome" Jimmy Valiant defeating Keith Eric with a sleeperhold A promo aired of Tommy "Wildfire" Rich standing in front of a USWA set…He said while he's very angry he's no longer the USWA champion, he's happy to finally be vindicated that he was telling the truth about not being the masked man all along….however Randy Savage made a mistake putting his hands on him last week…and if Lawler thinks he's just gonna move on to the Macho Man and that things are settled between them…he's got another thing comin'! Lance Russell ran down the card for this Monday night in Memphis, discussing how each one came about: CWA Championship Wrestling Mid-South Coliseum Memphis, TN. SirEdger
I love the continuity in the Dundee/Graham feud, with Graham reopening the cut from a previous attack to win the match. Lots of intensity in this feud and it's my favorite program you're having thus far.
