WWF Wrestling Challenge

Gorilla Monsoon & Bobby The Brain Heenan in studio

Matches from Poughkeepsie, NY – Mid-Hudson Civic Center

Gorilla: Welcome everyone to Wrestling Challenge! Gorilla Monsoon alongside Bobby the Brain Heenan and what an action packed hour we have for you fans. Brain, we even have words from the Heavyweight Champion… Hulk Hogan…

Bobby: You can take those words Monsoon… I want to see actions and Hogan’s actions are few and far between…

Gorilla: Please! I heard that he handled King Kong Bundy quite well this week at a couple of our local shows…

Bobby: Bundy has the flu…

Gorilla: I knew there would be an excuse… fans we have got a big hour of action for you fans today including the British Bulldogs, Jimmy Snuka, Brutus Beefcake, and your man Hercules Hernandez! Plus we will see a new team… Mark and Jay… the Youngbloods! Let’s take it to the ring!

Mark & Jay Youngblood defeated Los Conquistadors

-Mark and Jay make their WWF debuts here tonight and they look pretty darn impressive in the ring… well at least Jay does. They have some good offense and it is Jay who shines as we see him come off the top rope with a chop that cuts Conquistador #1 right down for the 1…2…3! Mark & Jay are here… what heights can they reach?

*COMMERCIAL*

-WC is back with Gorilla and Bobby putting over the tag team scene in the WWF and they talk about the champions and what they could do with the titles. Gorilla puts over how we will have our first ever Top 10 rankings for singles competitors and Top 5 rankings for Tag Teams in the event center. They put over how every single win means something as they put over Brutus Beefcake who is in action tonight!

Brutus Beefcake defeated Johnny Rivera

-Brutus is out looking good here. He isn’t the Barber yet… just a good looking muscle head who works stiff in the ring. He works over Rivera and nails him with a double axe handle and then sets him up for the sleeper and the submission. Brutus looks good here as Gorilla says this will help him move into the rankings if he keeps up that momentum.

WWF Superstars

Vince McMahon & Jesse the Body Ventura

Matches from Poughkeepsie, NY – Mid-Hudson Civic Center

Vince: WELCOME EVERYONE TO WWF SUPERSTARS! Vince McMahon here alongside Jesse The Body Venutra! Jesse we get a preview of what is going to go down here tonight in Madison Square Garden as the WWF returns to the MSG Network and it is going to be one of the biggest events in the history of the WWF!

Jesse: That’s right McMahon and lemme tell you something right now… I have spoken to Bobby Heenan… he told me about the surprise tonight for Hogan and it may just very well be the end of Hulkamania tonight FOREVER!

Vince: I have to disagree with you there Jesse. Hulkamania has taken the world by storm and tonight the Hulkster defends the title against the Masked Superstar in what will be a clash of the Titans!

Jesse: You have got to be kidding me McMahon… it is not just the Masked Superstar but perhaps more that Hogan will have to be up against!

Vince: Whenever Bobby Heenan is around… anything can happen. Fans we have got a very special broadcast for you today including a big main event with a special preview of that big FIVE on FIVE Elimination match tonight!

Jesse: When you get ten men in the ring… anything can happen!

Vince: That is right Jesse… let’s take it to the ring!

The Masked Superstar defeated Brian Blair

-Jesse and Vince put over Masked Superstar as though he is the strongest force in the world. Jesse says this is the man to take the title from Hogan and there is nothing anyone can do to stop it. We see him destroy Brian Blair tonight and finish him with the Cobra Clutch Slam for the 1….2…3! He looks to be in shape and tonight could be his night!!

*COMMERCIAL*

-Superstar is back with Jesse and Vince talking about Dory Funk Jr coming back last night and the big six-man we will see tonight in MSG. They put over this feud with the Funks and the Briscoes and talk about how only one of these families can stand when it is all said and done. They wonder where Terry is and if he will get involved? They talk about Mike Rotundo having issues with Orton and Slater and how he may be the one who makes a difference!

Mike Rotundo defeated Barry Horowitz

-A pretty simple showcase for Rotundo who continues to build momentum as a singles wrestler here in the WWF. He certainly has got the skills in the ring and we see him work his stuff as he finishes things off with a nice FISHERMAN’S SUPLEX for the 1…2…3!! Rotundo looks good here and he is going to have to be on his A game when he steps into the family feud match tonight!

*COMMERCIAL*

-Superstars returns with Vince and Jesse talking about the Russians and how they want to get their hands on the tag titles. They talk about how Ivan Koloff has gone on record and called out Sgt. Slaughter. Vince puts over how he is sending his nephew Nikita to do his bidding tonight and that could be the worst thing for Slaughter!

Ivan & Nikita Koloff defeated Omar Atlas & Mr. Wrestling II

-Just an ass-whooping from start to finish here. Ivan does some work but it is Nikita who finishes things off. Wrestling II and Omar just can’t seem to get it together as he destroys them both with some big powers moves and then a pair of RUSSIAN SICKLES for the 1…2….3! Ivan and Krusher will be in the 10-man tag tonight but will Nikita be able to go up against the Sarge?

*COMMERCIAL*

Superstars is back and we go to the set of Piper’s Pit… it is here that we see Piper standing in the Pit with a bunch of food around. He puts over how he has a buffet available for Tonga Kid and Jimmy Snuka and then immediately brings them out as the crowd is going nuts! Piper has got security around him as he continues to talk shit and put over how these guys are just Savages and shouldn’t be allowed in wrestling. Security continues to hold the men back as Piper then starts throwing fruit at them which causes a fight to break out with Snuka, Tonga, and the security guards! Piper gets close and then out of nowhere here comes the BARBARIAN! He nails Snuka from behind as Piper jumps in and he is stomping and kicking away at Tonga Kid! This is pure chaos as Piper’s Pit is being torn apart. Security and officials come out and push Piper and the Barbarian away! Jesse and Vince are going wild putting this over!

*COMMERCIAL*

-Superstars is back and once again, Vince McMahon is apologizing for Roddy Piper’s behavior… he says that we have seen the last of Piper’s Pit for a while. Jesse says that Freedom is speech is what he fought for this country for and Piper has the choice to do it… even if people don’t think it is right! They take this last chance to really push the MSG event tonight as we cut to the main event tonight with a very special contest.

Rocky Johnson vs Big John Studd w/ Bobby Heenan

-A nice showcase for both men. It is a good 11-minute contest with both men getting some offense but we see John Stuff take the upperhand thanks to Bobby Heenan. We see Johnson go for a flying clothesline but Studd nails him with a right hand and it looks like he had something in it. He blindly tosses it out to Heenan who shove it in his pocket. Studd then covers Johnson for the 1….2…3!! Studd and Heenan look like they have stolen one here but that may not be the case tonight when it is a 10-man tag with Elimination rules from MSG!

WWF on Tour

9/2

New York City, NY – Madison Square Garden

Gorilla: Welcome everyone to Madison Square Garden. I am Gorilla Monsoon joined tonight by Jesse Venutra. Jesse, it is a packed house here in New York City at the greatest arena in the world, Madison Square Garden. Jesse, two titles on the line tonight and a huge 10-man tag, with elimination rules.

Jesse: This is perhaps the biggest card in the history of MSG Gino Monsoon and I can’t wait to see it all go down.

Gorilla: Fans we have been waiting for the big one, our main event with Hulk Hogan defending the World Title against the Masked Superstar.

Jesse: I am calling it Monsoon… we will see a new world champion tonight!

Gorilla: I think there are some who agree with that but I am solidly behind the Hulkster tonight. Randy Savage will go after the Intercontinental Championship against Gino Hernandez.

Jesse: I am the biggest Randy Savage fan Monsoon but his head is not in the right place. He’s focused on Elizabeth and that may cost him!

Gorilla: Plus tonight we see the big return of Dory Funk Jr in a six-man against the Briscoes and Mike Rotundo!

Jesse: Much like the Macho Man, I think the Briscoes are too focused on the feud than the match… it could get messy.

Gorilla: How about the big 10-man tag… Elimination Rules…

Jesse: This one could get out of hand. It could come down to 5 on 1 Monsoon!

Gorilla: But you gotta think with guys like John Studd, King Kong Bundy, and of course Andre… they could count for 2 people!

Jesse: That may be true… but you can’t fight the numbers with guys like this!

Gorilla: That is certainly true. Fans it is time to head to the ring for our opening contest… let’s head to the ring!

Brutus Beefcake vs Ted Dibiase

-A nice match up to remind the world that Ted Dibiase is relevant and one of the best wrestlers in the world. He handles Beefcake with little to no problem. Brutus gets in some offensive maneuvers but Dibiase is a sly cat inside that ring and he nails Brutus with a nasty right hand before setting him up for a brainbuster suplex. He then locks in the figure four leglock and gets the victory. Brutus looks to be banged up pretty good and Dibiase is a special kind of angry.

-A nice way to kick things off with Gorilla and Jesse putting over Ted Dibiase as a contender for the World or IC titles. They talk about the issues with Sgt. Slaughter and the Russians. They put over Nikita as the future of the WWF and someone who simply can’t be stopped as we head to the ring.

Sgt. Slaughter vs Nikita Koloff

-A very interesting 5-minutes of action with these two. Nikita is nowhere near ready to go in singles competition. We see the Sarge carry things for the five-minutes and then out of nowhere it is Ivan and Krusher who come down to serve as a distraction. Sarge turns around and finds a Russian Sickle in his face as he goes out of the ring to the floor! Here we see Ivan and Krusher go to work as we get a DQ! It is a 3 on 1 but here comes Brian Blair and Jim Brunzell the Killer Bees! They aren’t much but they are back up and they go toe to toe with the Russians enough for officials to come out. Sarge is in a pretty bad way here…

-They continue to put over Nikita but talk about how this one is far from over. Up next they talk about a new superstar coming in… the One Man Gang. They talk about him being over 500 pounds and almost 6’10! We see him in the entryway as we cut to the ring for action.

onemangang.jpg

SD Jones vs The One Man Gang

-A BIG debut here as the One Man Gang comes out looking bigger and nastier than ever. He handles SD Jones with no problems, and shows off his power in the showcase. Gorilla and Jesse put him over as a major contender and wonder just who will be able to control this guy. We see the big 747 splash for the 1….2…3 and the Gang is the winner. He works the crowd as one of the best big uglies to ever step foot in the ring.

-Jesse and Gorilla put over the feud between the Briscoes and Funks. They go back to the breaking of Terry Funk’s arm almost a year ago. They talk about Dory’s return and then reinstatement due to Jack and Jerry wanting this match. Here we go!

SIX-MAN TAG

Mike Rotundo, Jack, & Jerry Briscoe

VERSUS

Dory Funk Jr, Bob Orton, & Dick Slater w/ Jimmy Hart

-This one has got a lot of heat coming in as the fans know the story of the Briscoes and the Funks. We get a fun 15-minute contest with some good tag team work but when it is Jack Briscoe and Dory Funk Jr, MSG comes unglued! The crowd goes wild for Funk and Briscoe who throw rights and lefts all over the place. Throughout all the chaos we see Rotundo and Jerry working well against Orton and Slater but in the end, with the chaos, we see Orton and Slater isolate Mike Rotundo. Jimmy Hart jumps over and holds on to him while Bob Orton runs over and rams a high knee into his arm and Mike is in a bad way. Jack may be getting revenge on the other side of the ring but Rotundo is hurt! Jerry is late to the save, as this one has broken down. Jack looks outside the ring and here comes Dory with a high knee to his back and then a roll up with a hand full of tights for the 1…2….3!! Dory, Orton, and Slater have won this battle but the war is far from over. Mike Rotundo is holding on to his arm as he is ushered to the back. This could spell trouble for the Briscoes as Jack was pinned by his nemesis and his partner was hurt in the process.

-Gorilla and Jesse put over the injury to Mike Rotundo and wonder how this will affect his future with the WWF. We cut to some clips from Piper’s Pit over the last couple of weeks as Gorilla says this one is going to boil over in a big way… it is Piper vs Snuka!

Jimmy Snuka w/ Tonga Kid vs Rowdy Roddy Piper w/ The Barbarian

-For as wild as the previous match was, we get a hard fought battle to kick things off here with the crowd solidly behind the Superfly. Early one we get some outside interference and the referee calls for this one to become a TAG TEAM MATCH and the Barbarian and Tonga get involved. We get about 12 more minutes of action and when Piper and Snuka hook up the crowd goes nuts! The finish is messy with Piper and the Barbarian trying to double up on Tonga but he ducks a double clothesline and here comes Snuka off the top rope with a high cross body on Barb for the 1…2….3! Piper rolls out of the ring and could care less as he goes to the back. Inside the ring, Tonga and Snuka are ready for more!

-Gorilla and Jesse say there a lot of scores to be settled still after that one. Our next contest has got 10 of the best in the WWF in Elimination Tag Team Action! They talk about all the possibilities of what could go down and say that the Family has got the edge because they have teamed more in the past. Gorilla says Andre is a leader and will lead his men!

5 ON 5

ELIMINATION MATCH

Andre the Giant, Rocky Johnson, Tony Atlas, Dynamite Kid, & Davey Boy Smith

VERSUS

Big John Studd, King Kong Bundy, Hercules, Krusher Kruschev, & Ivan Koloff

{For this one, it is going to be easier to just talk about who eliminated whom and when it happened}

-Rocky Johnson was pinned by King Kong Bundy @ 4:54

-Hercules was pinned by Davey Boy Smith @ 9:45

-The Russians & British Bulldogs were both counted out @ 16:23

-Big John Studd was disqualified when he hit Andre with a chair @ 20:34

-Tony Atlas was pinned by King Kong Bundy @ 23:11

-King Kong Bundy was the final elimination when Andre the Giant pinned him @ 26:43!

-An interesting 10-man there with Andre being the sole survivor. Jesse and Gorilla then put over the big IC title contest and the issue with Gino Hernandez trying to accost Elizabeth. Jesse says that Savage can’t lose his composure in this one… but will he be able to handle that pressure if Hernandez goes after Liz?

INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP

Randy Savage w/ Elizabeth vs Gino Hernandez ©

-This one is a wild contest with action all around ringside as Gino Hernandez is incensed on getting close to Elizabeth and Savage will stop at nothing to stop him. Gorilla and Jesse build the story of the match but it ends up hurting things more than helping in the long run. The finish sees Savage get the upper hand and he is looking to finish off Hernandez but as he goes up to the top rope for the flying elbow he looks down and there is a mysterious figure behind Elizabeth and the person pushes her to the ground… Savage can’t believe it but here comes Hernandez as he crotches Savage and then hits a superplex for the 1….2….3!! Gino Hernandez retains the IC title as he welcomes this figure in the ring… the person takes off this mysterious veil…

hqdefault.jpg

-IT IS WOMAN! Gorilla and Jesse can’t believe it. They don’t know who this beautiful woman is as Gino gives her a kiss and lets her hold on to the IC Title. This is pure chaos as medics are checking on Elizabeth and Savage is shown with tears in his eyes carrying her to the back! Gorilla and Jesse continue to put it over as they talk about the big main event coming up. They put over Masked Superstar and Hulk Hogan in a big way and talk about the world title. It comes down to this… let’s tae it to the ring.

MAIN EVENT

WWF CHAMPIONSHIP

Hulk Hogan © vs Masked Superstar

-A big time main event here with Gorilla and Jesse putting this one through the roof. These guys have some history but haven’t been in the ring together yet. They put over the strengths of both men. This is an interesting 20-minute contest with both men getting in some offense and Hogan making Masked Superstar looking like a million dollars. He sells everything for him before we get the big Hulk Hogan comeback that makes the fans go wild. We see him Hulk up in a big way and nail and couple of huge shots before hitting and AXE BOMBER that puts Masked Superstar out of the ring. They fight outside the ring while the referee is counting. Masked Superstar runs at Hogan but he moves and Superstar nails the ringpost before Hogan grabs him for a BODYSLAM outside the ring! Hogan gets back in as the referee hits 10 and Hogan is the winner! He retains the title with a count out victory and the crowd pops! Hogan grabs the belt and welcomes Masked Superstar back in the ring but he walks off. Superstar walks to the back while Hogan is posing for the fans… but then…

hulk_posing.jpg?itok=AatXZb6T&mtime=1426

-Wait just a moment… out of the back… it is the HEENAN FAMILY! Bobby is coming down to the ring with Studd, Bundy, and Hercules! They surround the ring as Hogan welcomes them in! HERE WE GO! It is a 3 on 1 fight and Hogan fends them off for a moment but the numbers game is just too much! Gorilla and Jesse are going wild as Studd and Bundy tie Hogan up in the ropes. Hercules helps out as Heenan is screaming at him and then… out of the back… ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!

nick-bockwinkel1.jpg

-NICK BOCKWINKEL! WHAT IN THE WORLD IS GOING ON HERE! Bock gets in the ring and undoes his coat and he has got the WWF Championship around his waist! He takes the belt off and he is screaming and shoving it in Hogan’s face! Gorilla and Jesse are going ape shit right now! Bock puts the title right in his face and screams that HE IS THE REAL WORLD’S CHAMPION! This is pure chaos as Jesse and Gorilla send us home…

WWF Wrestling Challenge

Gorilla Monsoon & Bobby The Brain Heenan in studio

Matches from St. Louis, MO – Kiel Auditorium

Gorilla: Welcome everyone to WRESTLING CHALLENGE! Gorilla Monsoon here alongside Bobby the Brain Heenan. Brain, you look awfully happy after what you did to the Hulkster last week.

Heenan: Monsoon, it was the greatest moment of my life. Nick Bockwinkel, the REAL WORLD CHAMPION IS BACK!

Gorilla: So let me get this straight… you think since Bockwinkel was once a champion… he is still the champion?

Heenan: No he is still the champion because he never lost the title! Hogan is a paper champion and I am on a crusade to show the world that he is nothing but a liar… a cheat… a phony!

Gorilla: PLEASE! Hulk Hogan is one of the most honest and genuine men in the history of this sport and his title win is not varnished in any way, shape, or form!

Heenan: You like all the others out there drink this invisible orange juice… well Hogan… I had a taste of it and it made me throw up… it is time for me to show the world just what a crook you are!

Gorilla: I can’t believe this. Our fans know that you can’t tell the truth and couldn’t if your life depended on it. Fans we have got a special episode of Wrestling Challenge here today. A couple of weeks ago we saw a couple of members of the WWF go up to Toronto for the Johnny Rougeau Memorial tournament… during that tournament one of our own… Bret Hart made a heck of a run.

Heenan: I think we all know Bret has talent… but he had just a little bit more in my opinion.

Gorilla: Fans what we are about to see is pretty interesting as we get to see the Hitman as he is called in action… let’s go to the ring.

Bret Hart (w/Jimmy Hart) (WWF) vs Don Muraco (AWA)

-A similar situation like the previous match with the speed of Bret Hart takes on the strength of Don Muraco. One would think that Jimmy Hart would’ve been a distraction at ringside but he proved to be a non-factor as Bret Hart gets the win on Don Muraco at 4:27 after a 2nd rope clothesline.
Winner: Bret Hart (4:27) – advances to 2nd round

*COMMERCIAL*

-WC is back with Gorilla and Bobby putting over this idea of Bret Hart joining up with Jimmy Hart. Bobby says it is the smartest business move he could have made and we will see just how well it pays off with his run in the tournament. Gorilla then turns the tide and talks about a newcomer to the WWF. He is over 500 pounds and has got a man managing his career that is known to be the most diabolical in the sport. He puts over the One Man Gang and Kevin Sullivan as we cut to the ring.

The One Man Gang w/ Kevin Sullivan defeated Jose Rivera & Victor Rivera

-Another showcase of the One Man Gang who is absolutely a monster but the real surprise is Kevin Sullivan who comes out with him. Gorilla Monsoon and Bobby Heenan put that over in a big way and before we know it, it is the Gang who hits a couple of 747 Splashes for the 1….2….3!! The Gang celebrates with a toned down, but still maniacal Kevin Sullivan…

4297f5807c8533426b417318b4335614.jpg

*COMMERCIAL*

-The Bret Hart hour continues here with Gorilla and Bobby continuing to put over the Hitman. They put over his situation with Jimmy Hart and wonder what his friends the British Bulldogs and Jim Neidhart think about this. They put over the tag team title match here on WC in our main event as we cut to Bret’s second match of the tournament!

(Match Shown in Clips due to time constraints)

Bret Hart (w/Jimmy Hart) (WWF) vs Buddy Landell (w/Johnny V) (Memphis)
-This probably was the best match of the night as the two mat technicians wrestled a clinic in front of the Montreal Forum faithful. One moment, Bret’s speed & mat savvy gave him the upper hand and the other, it was Buddy Landell’s in-ring experience that gave him the momentum. Bret got the nearfall after a beautiful 2nd rope elbow drop but tried it one time too many, allowing Landell to dodge the 2nd time. Landell got the chance to put Bret away with the Figure Four Leglock but Hart grabbed the rope and broke the submission. At the end of the match, Bret went for the flying clothesline and the pin but Johnny V climbed on the apron to distract the referee. Johnny V and Jimmy Hart got into it at ringside, distracting both the referee Adrien Desbois and Buddy Landell. Bret took Jimmy’s megaphone and clocked Landell with him, tossing the smoking gun out of the ring and pinning Landell at 15:00 to advance.
Winner: Bret Hart (15:00) – advances to quarter-finals

BRET HART & JIMMY HART?

-Mean Gene puts over the questionable formation of Jimmy Hart and Bret Hart. He talks about the rumors of Jimmy Hart offering him a blockbuster deal and giving Bret a tryout up in Canada only for him to make a decision within the next 24 hours. We will have Bret Hart’s decision tomorrow on Superstars!

WHO IS KEVIN SULLIVAN?

-Mean Gene puts over the debut of Kevin Sullivan. He talks about his love of dark magic. He is known as a man who will go for what he wants by any means necessary. He has brought with him the One Man Gang and that isn’t all. He has got a group of men who have nothing but pain and destruction on their mind. Who will be their first target?

TED DIBIASE… CHANGE OF HEART?

Ted Dibiase: This is Ted Dibiase fans and I have got something pressing on my mind. You know it was a mere month ago I found myself in the ring across from Hulk Hogan for the Heavyweight Championship of the World. I didn’t think my life could get better… when it fact it was one of my lowest points. I had sold out for everything to get where I was… and that just isn’t who I am. I am not out here to beg for forgiveness… I am not out here to preach to the choir… but I am here to let the world know that the real Ted Dibiase is going to be around form here on out… and if you get in my way… you are going to find out about it the hard way!

WWF TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP
The British Bulldogs vs Bob Orton & Dick Slater © w/ Jimmy Hart

-A big time main event here from the Kiel Auditorium as Gorilla and Bobby really put this one through the roof. They talk about Jimmy Hart and his possible association with Bret Hart. They talk about seeing how he finished up in the tournament tomorrow on Superstars along with Hulk Hogan in action. Inside the ring here, we see a great 12-minute contest. We see Jimmy Hart trying to get involved but it is both Jack and Jerry Briscoe who come out and chase him off. This is the perfect distraction for the Bulldogs as Dick Slater is looking at Hart but when he turns around Dynamite Kid dropkicks him in the chest and then a roll up for the 1….2…3! WE HAVE NEW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS! The crowd pops in a big way as Gorilla and Heenan can’t believe what we have just seen! Davey and Dynamite hold the titles high in the air as the fans are giving them a great ovation and Slater and Orton have no clue what has just happened! We will see you tomorrow on Superstars!

Vince McMahon: Welcome everyone to the Kiel Auditorium in St. Louis, Missouri! I am Vince McMahon alongside Jesse the Body Ventura. Jesse we have got some big time action tonight including footage of the Johnny Rougeau Memorial Cup and Bret Hart in action!

Jesse: I hear that it isn’t what happened inside the ring that was as important as what happened outside the ring McMahon!

Vince: We will see what happens with that as the night goes on. Plus tonight we will see Hulk Hogan in action!

Jesse: I don’t know McMahon… I think Hogan is still shaking from what happened at the hands of Nick Bockwinkel!

Vince: We saw the former champion return last week in Madison Square Garden… it was quite the scene. Fans we have got a big match coming up right now as the tag team titles are on the line… let’s head to the ring…

WWF TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP
The British Bulldogs vs Bob Orton & Dick Slater © w/ Jimmy Hart

-A big time main event here from the Kiel Auditorium as Vince and Jesse give us a different point of view on this match from yesterday’s Wrestling Challenge. They put over Jimmy Hart’s decision with Bret Hart here on Superstars and talk about the Hulkster being in action.Inside the ring here, we see a great 12-minute contest. The crowd pops in a big way, as Vince and Jesse put this over in a big way! Davey and Dynamite hold the titles high in the air as the fans are giving them a great ovation and Slater and Orton have no clue what has just happened!

-Superstars is back with Jesse and Vince putting over the big World Tag Title win of the Bulldogs and the on-going issue with Jack Briscoe and Dory Funk. Jesse says that somewhere down the line these two are going to go at it and only one man will walk out! Vince puts over Dory’s allegiance with Jimmy Hart as they turn their attention to Bret Hart. They talk about his run in the tournament with wins over Don Muraco and Buddy Landell. They talk about the upcoming match with Tito Santana as they send it to the footage.

(Match shown in clips due to time constraints)

Tito Santana (AWA) vs Bret Hart (w/Jimmy Hart) (WWF)
An excellent battle was to be anticipated in this match and it lived up to the hype. Both men’s cardio were definitely put to the test but no worries as Santana & Bret are arguably 2 of the fittest men in pro wrestling. They treated the fans to a wrestling clinic throughout the duration of their match. Jimmy Hart tried to interfere towards the end of the match but Tito nailed him with the Flying Forearm Smash and put him out of commission for the remainder of the match. Tito nailed Bret with the Flying Forearm Smash for the nearfall. Then, Bret was able to hit Tito with the 2nd rope flying clothesline and only got a 2 count. Multiple rollups and small packages exchanged in the final moments. Tito finally nailed Bret with a second Flying Forearm Smash but couldn’t get the 3 count before the time limit expires! Unfortunately, the match is a draw but the audience gave both men a well-deserved standing ovation on their way out.
Time limit draw – both Tito Santana & Bret Hart are eliminated

THE DECISION- BRET HART & JIMMY HART

-Jimmy Hart officially signs Bret Hart to a contract. Bret tells Jim Neidhart that he has a choice to make. Next week on Challenge, we will see a six-man tag with Bret, Orton, & Slater taking on the Bulldogs & Jim Neidhart. He better make the right decision before the match even starts!

Jesse says it was the best decision of his life and it is going to pay off with gold in the long run. They talk about the change of style for Ted Dibiase and what this could mean to his career as we cut to the ring for him in action…

Ted Dibiase defeated Barry Horowitz

-A great showcase for Dibiase who still gets some boos, as these promos haven’t aired for these fans yet. Jesse and Vince put him over as a babyface as we see him work well in the ring and then finish things off with the piledriver and the figure four leg lock for the submission. Dibiase is a man lost right now… will he get found?

*COMMERCIAL*

-Superstars returns with Vince and Jesse really putting the Hogan and Bockwinkel situation through the roof. They talk about the tag team title swap. The issue with Funk and Briscoe. The decision of Bret Hart. It has been a very busy weekend and what a way to cap it off but with the World Champion in action as we cut to the ring…

Hulk Hogan vs Hercules w/ Bobby Heenan

-A huge main event for Superstars tonight as we see the Hulkster do battle with Hercules Hernandez. This one goes about 10-minutes and we get to see the big selling power of the Hulkster who makes Hercules look good tonight but it is the Hulkster’s show. We see him Hulk up and make the big comeback before hitting the AXE BOMBER… but once he goes to hit the ropes it is Nick Bockwinkel there to grab his leg! Hogan goes out to make chse for Bock as Hercules comes back around and nails him in the back with the chain! It is a DQ victory for the Hulkster as the 2 on 1 beatdown ensues but Hogan fights his way back and hammers at both men sending them reeling. He can’t wait to get his hands on Bock who flees the scene. He holds up HIS world title belt and tells Hogan “I AM THE REAL WORLD’S CHAMPION!!!” Jesse and McMahon put this through the roof as they sign off.

Matches from Hershey, PA – Hershypark Arena

Gorilla: Welcome fans to Wrestling Challenge. I am Gorilla Monsoon alongside Bobby the Brain Heenan. Brain, what a night of action we’ve got here today… the big six-man main event is going to be a make or break match for the competitors!

Heenan: I think tonight we see the end of one career and the true beginning of another!

Gorilla; What are you talking about?

Heenan: Tonight we get to see the end of Jim Neidhart and the beginning of Bret Hitman Hart’s career!

Gorilla: I beg to differ. If I could talk to the Hitman, I would tell him to get out while he can!

Heenan: I just don’t see that happening Monsoon… he signed the deal and now he is locked in with Jimmy Hart and that is what is best for him!

Gorilla: We will see how that comes out later, right now we’ve got tag team action with Mark and Jay… the Youngbloods!

Mark & Jay Youngblood defeated Los Conquistadors

-A nice showcase contest with Mark and Jay really meshing well. Jay is heads above his brother, but they do okay together. We see them hit a double flying Tomahawk Chop for the 1…2….3! What does the future hold for these brothers?

*COMMERCIAL*

-WC is back with Gorilla and Bobby talking about Tony Atlas. They put over his power and strength but Heenan says he pales in comparison to Big John Studd! They put over tonight’s big action in Toronto in which Atlas will be in action as we cut to the ring and see him in action.

Tony Atlas defeated Dominic DeNucci

-Mr. USA looks like a STUD here tonight and handles DeNucci with no problem whatsoever. He uses his power to tear DeNucci apart and finishes him off with a huge PRESS SLAM for the 1….2….3! Atlas flexes to the crowd and works the fans as he has got a bright future if he can get through guys like the Heenan Family!

KEVIN SULLIVAN’S ARMY OF DARKNESS

--Mean Gene goes through this new group of men, Kevin Sullivan’s Army of Darkness. The group includes Sullivan but also The One Man Gang and The Barbarian. These big, powerful, monsters all follow the guise of Kevin Sullivan. He really puts his men over and Sullivan is shown talking about the serpent coming together but the face of the serpent is about to be complete and all will bow in his presence.

*COMMERCIAL*

-WC is back with Gorilla and Heenan putting over this Army of Darkness. Bobby does a great job discussing the difference between the Heenan Family, The Hart Foundation, and The Army of Darkness. All have strengths but only one has the Brain in his words. Gorilla laughs it off as we cut to the ring for tag team action.

Kevin Sullivan & The Barbarian vs Brian Blair & Jim Brunzell

-The Army is here and they look great. Blair and Brunzell continue to impress but just can’t match the size of Barbarian and the mental game of Sullivan.. We see them turn up the pace but the strength is just too much. We see a the Barbarian pick up Blair on his shoulders and then Sullivan flies off the top rope with a shoulder block and he goes end over end for the 1…2….3!! Sullivan acts crazy inside the ring, as these guys look stronger than ever!

*COMMERCIAL*

-WC returns with footage from Bret Hart’s recent happenings with Jimmy Hart. We see the promo from last week in which he called out Jim Neidhart. Gorilla and Bobby really put this over. Gorilla says it is the wrong move but Heenan says he is getting the money he deserves now. Gorilla says it is not always about the money but pride and Heenan says he takes PRIDE in all his MONEY!

SIX MAN TAG

The British Bulldogs & Jim Neidhart vs Bret Hart, Bob Orton, & Dick Slater w/ Jimmy Hart

-A big time six-man tag team match with everyone having something to prove here. Gorilla and Bobby talk about the World Tag Team Championship and the British Bulldogs title victory a week ago. They talk about Jimmy Hart’s Hart Foundation growing but there have been rumblings of Orton and Slater not being happy Hart was looking for another tag team. Inside the ring tonight, the Bulldogs look to be going right off that momentum they had a week ago. We get to see Jim Neidhart against Bret and it is a nice little showcase but the Anvil looks to tweak his knee and has to tag out. This one goes about 14-minutes and in the end we see the Bulldogs looking to finish. We get a little bit of chaos but the Bulldogs look to put things away however the Anvil seems to be healthy and wants back in. Dynamite makes the tag and the Anvil hits the ropes and then a flying shoulder block on Dynamite! He goes flying out of the ring! Davey Boy can’t believe it as Bret Hart clips his knee! Davey Boy goes down before Neidhart picks him up and SPINEBUSTER! Orton and Slater hold on to Dynamite while we see Neidhart pick up Davey Boy for Bret Hart who hits the ropes and flying clothesline for the 1….2….3! Neidhart and Bret then watch as Slater and Orton pick up Davey Boy and SPIKE PILEDRIVER! We see Jimmy Hart going nuts shaking and hugging everyone. Gorilla is irate while Heenan says this is the greatest thing he’s ever seen! What in the world is Jim Neidhart doing?

Very happy Hart and Neidhart are together as they should be.

I also think you got something with the Army of Darkness. I found it hard to write for Sullivan as I thought it took too muck work. You kept it simple which seems to work perfectly here.

Hogan/Bockwinkle brings back some good AWA memories. Bock was king of the AWA but Hogan is king here. Interesting to see what happens

-The Macho Man is live here tonight and he looks to be in the best shape of his career. Vince and Jesse talk about Elizabeth vs Woman and who people prefer. Vince puts over Elizabeth’s lady-like ability and Jesse says she may be a lady but Woman is a vixen! -Superstars is back with Jesse and Vince putting over the big IC title match tonight along with the big world championship match. They talk about the Army of Darkness and Kevin Sullivan’s group. They put over how he talked about the head of the serpent and wonder just what that means. Whatever it does mean… the One Man Gang is here and ready for action.

The One Man Gang w/ Kevin Sullivan defeated Big Fred Ottman

-This one is a fun back and forth with Gang and Ottman going toe-to-toe. Big Fred just isn’t giving an inch but the Gang is just too much for him. We see the Gang move like one of the best big men in the world and he takes advantage of the young Ottman and then nails a big belly to belly side slam. He then hits the ropes for the 747 and the 1….2….3! Gang and Sullivan celebrate while Big Fred looks good this week but just couldn’t get it done!

*COMMERCIAL*

TONIGHT IN PHILLY

Gino Hernandez: Randy Savage… let me introduce you to the FIRST and the ONLY WOMAN of professional wrestling! This WOMAN right here is not only the most ravishing and sexiest woman alive but she knows what it takes to take a man to the top and make him feel like a king! Tonight in Philadelphia, she is going to be ringside to watch it all go down and then we’re going to celebrate… the real MACHO WAY! HAHAH!

Woman: And Elizabeth… if I were you… I would stay as far away from ringside as possible!

Randy Savage: Well, well, well…. Looks like the threats are coming from the left and from the right. Gino Hernandez… you hid behind that championship belt like you hide behind that woman. I am not afraid of any man and I am certainly not afraid of any Woman and neither is Elizabeth! Now you want to throw out threats… we are in the city of brotherly love tonight but brother there will be no love… there will be BLOOD! The title may be on the line but I am coming for more… and I AM GOING TO TAKE IT ALL! OHHHH YEEEEAAAAHHHH!

Nick Bockwinkel: Tonight the world will stand on its heels until they hear the result of the biggest match in the history of pro wrestling. They will wait patiently to hear who will walk out of Philadelphia’s Spectrum as the undisputed world heavyweight champion… will it be the true world champion Nick Bockwinkel or the imposter… the paper champion… the man who holds the WWF title belt hostage… Hulk Hogan? Well let me tell you something Mr. Hogan… tonight I won’t need the family but they will be near. I won’t need Bobby Heenan but he will be ringside. I won’t need to humiliate you… but I will and I WILL walk out of Philadelphia as the rightful and righteous and UNDISPUTED HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION OF THE WORLD!

Hulk Hogan: I have got the goose bumps up and down my spine right now in anticipation! Nick Bockwinkel, your challenge has been accepted brother and there is not a man in the world who is going to stop you from facing the strongest force in the world tonight in Philadelphia dude. I want you to know right now that I am not coming in just to defend the title brother, I am coming to show the world why I am the number one man in all of professional wrestling. From Tokyo to London to New York to Los Angeles and everywhere in between… the world is talking about Hulkamania and the strongest force in the world! You can bring the family! You can bring the weasel! But when push comes to shove what are you going to do when HULKAMANIA RUNS WILD ON YOU!!

*COMMERCIAL*

-Superstars is back with Vince and Jesse really pumping up the big event tonight in Philadelphia. Jesse says he could go either way with Hernandez vs Savage but thinks that Bockwinkel has just what it takes to get the undisputed crown tonight. Vince says it is going to take a lot more than that to defeat the Hulkster and would bet all he has on Hulkamania running wild again tonight… right now we get to see Sgt. Slaughter in action.

Sgt. Slaughter defeated Bob Bradley

-A simple enough showcase for the Sarge as Jesse and Vince talk about his issues with the Russians. They put over how Sarge and Ivan Koloff have a long history and would like to see it come to head at some point. It is the classic American vs Russian feud that has been a focal point for years. We see him handle Bradley pretty well and finish things off with the cobra clutch for the submission! Sarge salutes the crowd as Jesse and Vince put this through the roof.

*COMMERCIAL*

-Superstars is back with footage from the recent issues with Roddy Piper and Jimmy Snuka. We see the issues from Piper’s Pit and the set up of the big one here tonight as Piper is set to take on the Tonga Kid. Vince and Jesse talk about the issue and they say that Piper is looking to disturb the peace any way he can and Snuka is a man with a plan. It is our main event and it is next!

The Tonga Kid vs Roddy Piper

-Early on we get to see just how far Piper is willing to go as he is ripping and tearing at the Tonga Kid. He takes him outside the ring and runs him into the ring post for extra measure and this brings out Jimmy Snuka. Superfly is trying to help Tonga but Piper is just aging him on and the crowd wants to see it! We get a couple more minutes of actin but it is Piper who is trying to humiliate Tonga Kid and Snuka can’t take it anymore! Snuka jumps in the ring and HERE WE GO! Piper and Snuka are going at it and the crowd is going nuts! Vince and Jesse are going wild as we see officials and agents come down to break things up. Piper gets outside the ring and he grabs the ring bell! This one is pure chaos right now… Vince and Jesse put over the big how tonight in Philadelphia!
