soup23
Lucha cage matches are almost never my thing and this was no exception. Some brawling and bumping but mostly climbing to escape as fast as possible. Oscar continues to be in contention of the most pleasant surprise in 2000 and he is the last of the tecnicos in the cage allowing the rudos to destroy him. Tecnicos decide they are going to have to make the save and this allows the rudos to scurry out and win. Blah. **
Loss
With all the climbing and escape attempts, this was more of a WWF-style cage match than any WWF cage match I can recall seeing. I do like seeing Oscar Sevilla, and Marabunta is an old 90s favorite, but this match wasn't the best showcase for the talent because the gimmick swallowed it whole. Tim Evans
I really dislike AAA cage matches. Not for the escapes, but for the guys that escape coming back in the ring. It's especially annoying during apuesta matches where a guy escapes yet still loses his hair when he reenters. This match was not that. It still wasn't good and cut off the tecnicos doing what they do best, flying. This match had some good rudos doing a beatdown and the tecnicos not adding much. Disappointing use of a cage. Moonsault Marvin
I have not watched much of most of these guys, so I wasn't really familiar with the wrestlers. This started off okay with guys getting thrown into the sides of the cage, but they didn't do much with the cage later in the match other than trying to escape. They did the regular tag team cage trope of the faces leaving too early and letting the partner get beat up. Nothing exceptional here. Below average match.
