Monday Aug 12, 1985 Bell Time- 7:30pm The Grappler pinned Scott Armstrong (subbing for the injured Brad Armstrong) with a swinging neckbreaker Rematch: 30 Minute Time Limit The Southern Boys (Steve Armstrong/Tracy Smothers) fought The Desperados (Black Bart/Ron Bass) to a DOUBLE COUNTOUT Kendall Windham pinned "Dirty White Boy" Tony Anthony with a sunset flip off the top rope Grudge Tag Team Match The Exotic Hustlers (Rip Rogers/Adrian Street) w/Ms. Linda defeated The Nightmares (Danny Davis/Ken Wayne) when Street distracted the referee allowing Ms. Linda to jump up on the ring apron and spray air freshener in the eyes of Danny Davis who was rolled up for the pinfall by Rip Rogers INTERMISSION UWF Southern Tag Team Championship The Fabulous Ones (Steve Keirn/Stan Lane) defeated The Fabulous Freebirds (Michael Hayes/Buddy Roberts) when Keirn pinned Roberts after a belly to back suplex…….After the match Michael Hayes took the microphone and said "Listen….you know what….we were wrong about you guys. You two are two of the toughest guys we've ever faced in a wrestling ring. This isn't a word that we throw around very often….but you know what? We respect you two." Hayes sticks out his hand for a handshake (Keirn and Lane look unsure) Buddy Roberts shoves Hayes and asks him, "What the hell are you doing?? We don't respect these two!!" Hayes says, "Listen Buddy Jack, I know you're heated because you got beat, but give these guys their due!" (Keirn and Lane still look uneasy) Roberts says, "Ok, maybe you're right." As Roberts sticks out his left hand for a handshake, Hayes tosses powder in Keirn's eyes and Roberts blasts Lane with a right hand wrapped in a chain…..The Freebirds administer a beat down on the Fabulous Ones and leave them laying in the ring as the crowd boos them out of the building UWF Continental Tag Team Championship Bam Bam Bigelow pinned The Bullet after a slingshot splash over the top rope…..Bullet was favoring his ribs, as Bigelow went to the top rope and delivered a big splash…..The Southern Boys and Scott Armstrong hit the ring for the save as it appears the Bullet has suffered the same fate as Brad Armstrong as he's stretchered out of the ring SEMI-MAIN EVENT UWF World Six Man Tag Team Championship- NO DQ MATCH The Stud Stable (Eddie Gilbert/Tommy Rich/Big John Studd) w/"Tn. Stud" Ron Fuller defeated "Wildcat" Wendell Cooley/Robert Fuller/Blackjack Mulligan when Eddie Gilbert threw a fireball in the face of Robert Fuller and pinned him MAIN EVENT Tag Team Texas Death Match UWF World Champion Jerry 'the King' Lawler/Mr. Olympia defeated UWF Southern Champion "Handsome" Harley Race/Adrian Adonis w/Freddie Blassie & Teddy Muscles in 29 minutes when Adonis couldn't answer the 10 count after TWO piledrivers from Lawler Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

In front of a live studio audience Airing on Florida Superstation WTOG, Texas Superstation WTVT, and various television outlets throughout Alabama and Mississippi on Aug 24, 1985 Hosted by Gordon Solie & Joe Pedicino Interviewer: Coach John Heath Ring Announcer: Rhubarb Jones Recap/Highlights: Dusty Promo: Dusty says he waited to respond to really let Bruno's words sink in……He said he still respects Bruno's legacy in wrestling but now finds him disgusting as a person….he says if David is truly Bruno's "Living Legacy" then his legacy isn't much anyway. He says he may not be the athlete that Bruno was in his prime but he promises that Bruno Sammartino will learn to respect him and this fans on October 27th at the Orange Bowl in Orlando. The Nightmares talk about their loss from last Monday night due to the interference of Ms. Linda, they introduce their "insurance policy" to take care of Ms. Linda, they bring out BABY DOLL! Baby Doll promises the Nightmares that Ms. Linda won't be a problem for them anymore. Fritz Von Erich talks about the upcoming 'David Von Erich Memorial Parade of Champions' in Dallas, Texas on Sunday September 23rd. He says there will matches announced here on television in the coming weeks. He says it's being negotiated to air as a special on WTVT and WTOG. Gordon Solie called Freddie Blassie out to the desk and let him know that the UWF Board of Directors have informed him if David Sammartino does not show up next week on TV to defend his Television title he will be stripped of the title. Blassie says that's outrageous that David has been off celebrating his victory over Dusty Rhodes, he will gladly return and beat whomever they put in front of him just as he did Rhodes at Beach Brawl. Footage is shown of Bam Bam Bigelow injuring both the Bullet and Brad Armstrong. Also the fireball incident last week where Eddie Gilbert burned Robert Fuller just as he did Jimmy Golden. The Fabs come out and talk about their win over the Freebirds but also the heinous post match attack, so this week they asked for a rematch but the Freebirds insisted it be a "Badstreet Brawl", The Fabs say they gladly accept and are looking for revenge.
