Well, I think that match worked as a spectacle but that's pretty much it. The build to the first bat shot was well done. It was shocking when Kagetsu hit Io with the bat because I was expecting Io to avoid it at least one more time before it hit. I'm not death match expert, but I don't understand how the second bat shot didn't directly lead to the finish. Especially after Natsu sold it like she was done only for everyone else to just start working like it was a finish to a regular tag match. I don't know, I guess just find gifs of the bat shots and that's really all that you need to see.

A spectacle this was and they tapped into their inner FMW with this one. Two big bat spots placed in a fast paced match that kept me entertained. Everyone played their parts well with Shirai and Kagetsu carrying most of the load. Loved the finish with Tam getting the pin, great stuff.

Current Blast Exploding Bat Death Match: Io Shirai & Tam Nakano vs. Oedo Tai (Kagetsu & Sumire Natsu)

This was incredible, the action was fast-paced and exciting, and the tension building into the bat spots and the explosions themselves created such an unsettling atmosphere. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time, loved this. ****1/2

Awesome match. They did such a great job teasing the shots with the bat, I was practically on the edge of my seat every time it looked like someone would get hit. Io and Tam being conflicted about using the bat while Kagetsu and Sumire tried it every chance they could get was a great story. Tam was a great face in peril and Io did a tremendous job cleaning house and kicking ass. It all built to a great and satisfying finishing stretch with some unbelievable nearfalls.
