War is Raw
Hercules vs King Haku was much better than I remember it. I believe it is unfairly maligned by the Scott Keith/Dave Meltzer/Wade Keller ratings. Only remembered for Howard Finkel botching "King Tonga", which has been dubbed by WWE Network. The booking was off. It felt like one of the random undercard matchups that early WrestleManias were known for, however, this ought to have been played up for Hercules continuing to get revenge against the Heenan family (the slave angle) or even winning the king's crown. However, this was really a surprisingly decent, stiff match for a 7-minute opener. Hercules had good fan reaction. Haku displayed his vaunted power a couple of times. I think Haku may be very consistent, like Arn Anderson, where every match looks gritty.
