AWA All-Star Wrestling

The camera pans onto the arena as the crowd is cheering loudly.  We then see the camera transition to our play by play commentator.

EB:  Hello everyone, my name is Eric Bischoff and welcome to AWA All-Star Wrestling.  We are excited to be coming to you from Sydney Australia for the return of professional wrestling to Australia.  Firstly we are going to cross to the ring to hear from our president, a legend of Australian Wrestling:  Mario Milano

Mario Milano is in the ring.

MM:  Ladies and Gentlemen, after 10 long years Professional Wrestling is back in Australia is where it belongs.  We are excited to be bringing you the biggest stars in the Wrestling World.  Every week All-Star Wrestling will be beamed around the world, and every month we promise to bring you a big event from each capital city in this great country of ours, the Land Down Under, Australia.  I would like to announce that our first special event will be coming to you from right here in Sydney, in 4 weeks time, when we will be presenting to you Super Showdown-Under.  On that night the AWA will be crowning our World Champion and our World Tag Team Champions, so make sure that get your tickets to be with us live, or check your local listings for television coverage.  And now ladies and gentlemen I would like to introduce our Colour Commentator.  He is one of the greatest wrestlers to ever hold the World Championship.  He is the Emperor of the ring.  He is Handsome Harley Race.

Harley Race comes to ringside and joins Eric Bischoff.

HR:  Hello everyone both here in Australia and around the world.  I am very excited to be the one who will be analysing the in-ring action for you, and you are all very privileged to have the insight from an 8 time world champion.  And Eric Bischoff, you had better be c business, where I am a true legend.

EB:  That you are Harley, and I am one of your biggest admirers.  We have a huge night ahead as we meet some of the stars of AWA.

Rick Martel beat Steve Lombardi with the Boston Crab.

We cross to the back where interviewer Craig DeGeorge is with Paul E. Dangerously.  Paul E says that he has come to Australia with some of the most awesome wrestlers the world has ever seen.  He says that he intends for his wrestlers to dominate the sport in the country.  He says that he has some of the biggest and baddest wrestlers Australia has ever seen. He brings into the area Bam Bam Bigelow, Kokina, Fatu and Samu.  Paul E says that Samoan stars have a reputation in Australia that is well-earned, and that the Soamoan SWAT Team and Kokina will live up to that reputation.  HE thenpoints to Bam Bam Bigelow and says that there is no one else in the world man enough to tattoo their head, but that is just how tough Bam Bam Bigelow is.  Paul E promises that one of his men will be crowned the first AWA World Champion, and that the SWAT Tam will be the teag tema champions.

Cowboy Bob Orton beat SD Jones with a superplex.  After the match Orton beat on Jones a bit more before leaving the ring.  Race notes that Orton is possibly the most technically sound wrestler in the company, but he is also a very tough man.  Bischoff says that he remembers Race’s association with Orton years ago, and that Orton is a man who often allies with other stars, so the AWA had better keep their eye on him.

Craig De George is in the ring, and welcomes his guest, Nikita Koloff.  Koloff says that he left Russia many years ago to battle what he thought was the terror of the West.  But then, after spending time in America, he learned that everything he had been brought up to believe was a lie, and he embraced the freedom of the West.  He said that the world is changing now, and Communism appears to be falling, but he has come to Australia to continue his pursuit to be the best.  He says that Australia is more beautiful that America, and the fans here are the friendliest he has ever met, and he looks forward to representing them in the ring.

The British Bulldogs beat Barry Horowitz and Tiger Chung Lee when Dynamite Kid pinned Horowitz after hitting a flying headbutt.  The Bulldogs received a massive reception, and Bischoff noted the close links between Australia and England.  Race said that the Bulldogs should forget about the fans and focus on dominating teams in the ring, no matter how it is done.

Craig De George is with Paul Ellering.  Ellering says he was recently double-crossed.  He said that in America he had brought a team into the business and taken them to the top, and they repaid him by deserting him and leaving him with nothing.  He said he intends to prove that their success was only because of him by replicating it with a new team.  Ellering says he has a new team that is bigger, badder and better than his last team.  They are The Powers of Pain- the Warlord and The Barbarian, and they will be totally unstoppable.

The Great Muta beat Steve Blackman after a Moonsault.  During the match Sensational Sherri was seen to come to ringside and observe the action for several minutes, before returning to the back.  Bischoff noted that Muta was one of the most exciting up and coming wrestlers in the world, while Race said that Muta has all the tools to become a world Champion at some point…. And he should know, he did it 8 times.

Craig De George is in the ring and welcomes “The Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase.  DiBiase says that he has more money than this entire arena combined,  He said that he has come to Australia to buy up real estate and win the World Title.  DiBiase says that he is concerned being in Australia as everyone in this country is a criminal.  He said he needs to protect himself and his investments, and so he has invested in an insurance policy, a bodyguard.  He brings out Cowboy Bob Orton, saying that Bob will ensure that the people, and the lowly wrestlers he faces, do not get out of line.  Race says that he just knew Orton was here to help someone, and that DiBiase could not choose better support.  Bischoff asks why DiBiase needs a bodyguard, and Race says “Didn’t you hear what he said, this country is filled with criminals”.

Jake “The Snake” Roberts beat Jose Estrade with the DDT.  After the match Jake placed his snake Damian on top of Estrada.  Race said that this is not part of wrestling.  Bischoff said it is part of it tonight, and it is now part of the AWA.  Bischoff says that Roberts will be one man who may have his eye on beating Ted DiBiase, and that Damian may be a better bodyguard than Bob Orton.

Bischoff then thanks everyone for joining us tonight.  He says that next week we will see The Killer Bees, Kerry Von Erich, The Powers of Pain and Bam Bam Bigelow in the ring.  Race says more importantly the world will get to hear his colour commentary again.

Very good opening show here. I think it's good to bring the characters in as how they would have been internationally known at this point. I know you and I have talked about the differences between what I was able to see in the US and what you were able to see in Australia in regards to wrestling so this should be pretty fun to watch unfold. Obviously you've got some big-name towns to get things going and with guys like Jake Roberts and Ted DiBiase at the top anything could happen.

All-Star Wrestling (Episode 2)

Eric Bischoff and “Handsome” Harley Race welcome us all to All-Star Wrestling.  Race reminds Bischoff that he is more than just Handsome… He is the Emperor of Wrestling.  Bischoff says that tonight they have a great line-up of talent.  Race says he is looking forward to seeing The Million Dollar Man in the ring, and to see if he is really the best wrestler in the world right now.  Bischoff also says they are expecting an announcement from AWA President Mario Milano regarding the upcoming “Super Show-Down Under” card.

The Killer Bees beat Conquistadors after Jim Brunzell landed a flying dropkick on Conquistador I

Craig DeGeorge is backstage with The Mighty Hercules.  Hercules says that just as he did in Ancient Greece he is coming to prove that he is the dominant force in the world.  He said he is the strongest man in the AWA, and he plans to use his power to take him all the way to the AWA World Title.

Kerry Von Erich defeated Steve Lombardi after using the Iron Claw to set up a discuss Punch.  Race complained about Kerry using a closed fist to get the win.  Bischoff said that the referee was showing a little bit of latitude there.

Craig DeGeorge is interviewing Sensational Sherri Martel.  Sherri says that the wrestling wrld has traditionally been a man’s environment, but she intends to prove that the intelligence of a woman can take a man higher than he ever anticipated.  Sherri says that she is scouting talent she intends to lead to World Title’s.  She says she is the true force of the AWA, and these Aussie fans had better get used to the reign of the Queen.

The Powers of Pain w/Paul Ellering destroyed the Young Stallions when Barbarian landed a flying clothesline on Jim Powers.  After the match Warlord and Barbarian continued the beatdown and threw both Stallions out of the ring.  Ellering then declared the Powers of Pain the future Tag Team Champions of the World.

Eric Bischoff is in the ring, and he is with AWA President Mario Milano.  Milano announces that at Super Show-Down Under the AWA will crown it’s World Champion.  He said that the challengers for the title will be determined in two 10-man battle royals, to be held over the next 2 weeks on All-Star Wrestling.  He also announces that there will be an 8-team tag team tournament to crown the AWA World Tag Team Champions.  He said that the first round will be held over the next couple of weeks of All-Star Wrestling, and the semi finals and the final will occur at Super Show-Down Under.  He wishes all the contenders the best of luck, and may the best man, and the best team, win.

Bam Bam Bigelow w/Paul E Dangerously beat DJ Peterson after hitting a flying headbutt.  Race talked up Bigelow’s athleticism for a big man.  Bischoff questioned why a man with Bigelow’s talents needed a manager like Paul E.

Following the match the crowd begins to boo loudly as The Sheepherders (Luke Williams and Butch Miller) are coming to the ring wearing New Zealand All Black Rugby Jumpers.  Luke says that they can’t believe they have to come to this country to win their World Tag Team Titles.  Butch says that Australians have always thought they were superior to New Zealanders, but the Sheepherders are going to show the World, and every stupid Australian Fan watching, that New Zealand produces the best athletes when they win the World Tag Team Titles. The crowd are clearly angry and boo intensely, but the Sheepherders just laugh and leave the ring.  Bischoff says that the Sheepherders came out here just to antagonise the crowd.  Race says he loves the attitude of the Sheepherders, and then says that as a former World Champion it is often “attitude” that is the difference between winning a world championship and never winning one.

“Rugged” Ron Garvin pinned Barry Horowitz after hitting the Hands of Stone Punch.  Race talked about how Garvin reminds him a lot of himself, except he never cared what the fans thought of him.

Craig DeGeorge is backstage with Jake “The Snake” Roberts.  Jake says that he is looking forward to earning his shot at the World Title.  He says that it doesn’t matter if it is one-on-one, a 10 man battle royal or Jake vs the World, he has the skills and psychology to earn the title shot.  Jake says that he will get that short because he is the hardest worker in the AWA, he takes nothing for granted.  He says than a man such as Ted DiBiase thinks the world owes them something, or because they have a lot of money they can but what they want.  Jake says he has fought for everything he has ever earned, and he will fight to be crowned the World Champion

“The Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase w/ “Cowboy” Bob Orton beat Outback Jack by submission to the Million Dollar Dream.  Outback Jack got some early offense, but a distraction from Orton allowed DiBiase to take total control.  After the match Orton tossed Jack from the ring to allow DiBiase to celebrate in the ring alone.

Bischoff and Race close the show hyping next week, saying that there will be the 10 man battle royal and the start of the tag team tournament.  They also say they are expecting to see the AWA debut of young Jeff Jarrett. Race says that Jarrett has a pedigree, but is still too young to be a real threat in this business.  Bischoff also says they anticipate the first in-ring action from “The Russian Nightmare” Nikita Koloff and the massive Samoan Kokina.  Race says that all eyes will be on the battle royal, and he intends to predict the winner of the World Championship next week on All-Star Wrestling.

a lot of good stuff going on here. Some really good movement forward with a lot of people. I echo the same sentiment about Jake, He's without a doubt one of your if not your top baby faces but don't discount somebody like Kerry von Erich on being a big name too. I also want to put over how well you are doing with Harley race in that color role I know initially you had some reservations about who to put on color and making that recommendation was a pretty good idea and your execution of it has been great so far.

All-Star Wrestling Episode 3

Eric Bischoff and “Handsome” Harley Race welcome us to All-Star Wrestling.  Bischoff explains that the race for glory in the AWA heats up tonight with the fist of 2 ten-man battle royals, with the winners to meet for the AWA World Title at Super Show-Down Under.  Race reminds us all that he is an 8 time former world champion, so no one knows better than he does how hard it is to win that belt, and he knows that every competitor tonight will do whatever it takes to win tonight and earn a shot at that championship.  Bischoff also tells us that the first two matches in the World Tag Tea Title tournament will also be occurring.  Race says he has also been a World Tag Team Champion, so he understands what type of teamwork is required to win that gold.  Bischoff says “You’ve done it all, haven’t you?”  Harley responds “That’s why I am the Emperor of the Ring Bischoff”.

Jeff Jarrett beats Steve Lombardi after a cross body.  Bischoff talked up Jarrett as the young lion, but Race said that youth normally equates to inexperience, and that usually leads to mistakes, and he sees nothing but mistakes in Jarrett’s approach to the ring.

Craig DeGeorge is backstage with Ted DiBiase and “Cowboy” Bob Orton.  DiBiase reminds us that “Every Man has their price for the Million Dollar Man”, and that tonight he intends to prove that when he wins the Battle Royal.  He says that his plan has already been put into effect, and he guarantees he will be in the World Title Match.  DeGeorge asks Orton if he intends to win the Battle Royal, and Orton tells Craig to stop trying to stir up trouble.  He says he knows what his role is tonight, and that is to ensure Ted DiBiase takes the next step to Championship glory.

Nikita Koloff pinned Barry Horowitz after the Russian Sickle. Bischoff says that Koloff would be one of the favourites to win next weeks second battle royal.  Race said he does not agree.  He says that big muscles does not equal a championship contender.

Graig DeGeorge is with Paul Ellering and the Powers of Pain.  Ellering says that he has formed together the greatest tag team the world has ever seen.  He says they have the size, power and ability to dominate this business for many years.  He also says that what sets these men apart from other wrestlers he has been associated with in the past is that they listen to everything he has to say, and put it into action.  And next week they will implement the game plan he has developed to move one step closer to the AWA Tag Team Titles.

Kokina w/Paul E Dangerously squashed SD Jones with a Banzai Splash in the corner.  Bischoff said that Kokina will be difficult to eliminate in the Battle Royal next week.  Race agreed with him, but said a smart wrestler, a true world championship contender, will find a way.

Eric Bischoff is in the ring, and he is joined by Jake “The Snake” Roberts.  Jake says that he has travelled the world, and is truly impressed by the hospitality shown to him by the Australian People.  He said he truly feels at home her.  He says maybe it is because Australia is home to 7 of the top 10 deadliest snakes in the world.  But at the top of the list is Jake “The Snake” Robert.  He said that he can see the prize, it is within his grasp.  He says that this week he will sit back and watch 10 men battle it out for a shot at the World Title, and then next week he will step into the ring and prove how deadly he is when he beats 10 other men to earn his shot.  Jake says that he will do whatever it takes, and he promises to slither his way to victory next week.

The British Bulldogs beat The Young Stallions when Dynamite Kid pinned Jim Powers after a diving headbutt.  The match started with some scientific exchanges, but the Stallions could not match the class of the Bulldogs, and were easily beaten.  To their credit Powers and Roma shook hands with the Bulldogs after the match.  Bischoff talks up the sportsmanship, but Race says it has no place in a wrestling ring, and that’s why the Stallions were not good enough.

Craig DeGeorge is with Paul E Dangerously and the Samoan SWAT Team.  Paul E says that tonight the Australian fans saw what Kokina can do in the ring, and now they will see just how good the rest of his family are when the SWAT team take care of Bad Company in the ring.

The Samoan SWAT Team (Fatu & Samu) w/ Paul E Dangerously beat Bad Company (Brian Pillman and Bruce Hart) after Fatu pinned Pillman after a flying splash.  This match was a lot more competitive than the last one.  Pillman and Hart worked together, and Pillman’s aerial moves created headache’s for the Samoans.  In the end a four-way brawl broke out, distracting the ref.  This allowed Paul E to hit Pillman in the back of the head with his phone, and Fatu to come off the top rope.

We get a montage of quick interviews with the competitors for the upcoming Battle Royal, with everyone saying they intend to win and then go on to become the AWA World Champion.

“Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase won the 10-man Battle Royal. The other competitors were Rick Martel, Terry Funk, Kerry Von Erich, Ron Garvin, “Cowboy” Bob Orton, Tom Zenk, Outback Jack, Jim Brunzell and Brian Blair.  Bischoff pointed out that there are four former world champions in this match, and Race said that there was also a potential future world champion as well.  Outback Jack was eliminated in the first 30 seconds by Orton and DiBiase, who then paired up to eliminate the Killer Bees.  The rest of the competitors battled around the ring.  Funk eliminated Garvin while Von Erich sent Zenk from the ring after a discuss punch.  Funk then snuck up behind Martel and eliminated him as well, but Kerry then eliminated Funk.  This left Von Erich, Orton and DiBiase.  Von Erich battled both men, and rammed their heads together.  Von Erich hit the discuss punch on DiBiase, who teetered on the brink of elimination.  Von Erich then sent Orton over the top rope, and turned to stare down DiBiase.  DiBaise offered Kerry money to eliminate himself, but Kerry said no.  With his back turned, Orton snuck back in the ring and levelled Von Erich from behind, and then DiBiase threw him from the ring to win the match.  Bischoff cried foul, complaining that Orton had interfered after being eliminated, but Race said that DiBiase told everyone before the match that he had a plan, and clearly his plan worked.  Bischoff questions if DiBiase will be our next AWA World Champion, or whether the winner of next week’s battle royal will do so.  Race says next week’s match could bring a challenger that even DiBiase’s money can’t buy off, or it could see one man become very rich in helping DiBiase become a world champion.

I must say that it feels weird for me to see Paul Ellering in that timeframe with a team other than the Road Warriors but putting him with the Powers of Pain, it just fits beautifully. I think that's the best team with the Warriors mentality out there for you to pick and build as the badass tag team of your division.

Here we go with the Thunder Down Under... Again... I love Race in the color role... I do like Nikita here and he did have a push going into 88 and 89 just a different kind of character than before.  Kokina is a monster and a lot of people don't know how good Yoko was before he showed up in the WWF... we'll see that here. Bulldogs and SST are some hot tag teams... could be some big brawls int he future. Lastly, Dibiase is the man and he will be the headliner here without question. Good stuff!

AWA All-Star Wrestling Episode 4

Eric Bischoff and “Handsome” Harley Race welcome us to another episode of All-Star Wrestling.  Bischoff reminds us that tonight we have the final 2 matches of the first round of the Tag Team Title tournament, with the winners to advance to Super Show-Down Under next weekend.  He also says that the second 10-man battle royal will be held, with the winner to meet Ted DiBiase at Super Show-Down Under.  Race tells us that we may see a future world champion in the ring tonight, but he says that the greatest World Champion of all time is sitting right here lending the greatest insight in the world. Race predicts that the winner of tonight’s battle royal will have to do more to earn his shot at the title than DiBiase had to do last week.  Bischoff says that we will be kicking the night off with another former world champion…..

Terry Funk pinned Outback Jack after a piledriver.  Funk totally dominated the match.  Bischoff calls him one of the wildest wrestlers in the world.  Race says that Funk is one of the toughest wrestlers he ever faced in the ring, but in the end he still emerged victorious.  That’s why he is the emperor of wrestling.

Craig DeGeorge is backstage with Bad Company.  Brian Pillman says that last week they were primed to reach the semi finals when Paul E. Dangerously cost them the match.  Brice Hart says that they want another shot at those Samoans, and promises to prove to them what happens when you have trained in a dungeon as opposed to training in a jungle.

The Killer Bees (B. Brian Blair and “Jumping” Jim Brunzell) beat the Sheepherders (Butch Miller and Luke Williams) by DQ when the Sheepherders battered the Bees with steel chairs.  The Sheepherders went crazy in the back end of the match, and brutally attacked both Blair and Brunzell.  Referees had to drag the Sheepherders from the ring, and both Bees had to be carried to the back bleeding heavily

Craig DeGeorge is backstage interviewing Kerry Von Erich.  Von Erich says that last week he had the title shot all wrapped up but that lowlife Cowboy Bob Orton attacked him from behind.  He says that Orton may wear a cowboy hat, but he is from Texas and knows that a real cowboy carries themselves with integrity as opposed to selling out to the largest buyer.  Von Erich challenges Orton to meet him at Super Show-Down Under this coming weekend, where he promises to make him scream in pain and beg for mercy.

Ron Garvin beat Tiger Chung Lee after the Hands of Stone Punch and the Garvin Stomp.

Craig DeGeorge is with the British Bulldogs.  Davey Boy Smith says that they are grateful for how the fans here in Australia have received them.  He says that there has always been a close connection with England and Australia.  Dynamite says that they plan to repay the fans by winning the Tag Team Titles at Super Show-Down Under this weekend.

Powers of Pain (Walord and Barbarian w/Paul Ellering) beat The Can-Am Connection (Rick Martel & Tom Zenk) when Barbarian pinned Zenk after a clothesline off the top rope.  Bischoff points out that Martel and Zenk used to team in Canada, but this is the first time they have teamed in over 12 months.  Race says that two good singles wrestlers can’t be apart that long and expect to contend for a title.  POP use their strength to overcome the speed of the Can-Am’s, wo clearly struggled with their teamwork in the match.

Crai De George interviews Ted DiBiase in the ring.  DiBiase is accompanied by Bob Orton.  DiBiase says that this weekend he will prove that money can buy anything when he walks out of Super Show-Down Under as the AWA World Champion.  He and Orton then laugh about how they outsmarted Kerry Von Erich last week.  DiBiase says that if Von Erich wants a piece of Orton he will find out why Orton is the best bodyguard money can buy.  DiBiase says he intends that every man had his price, and that is why he will be the next World Champion.

DiBiase then joins Bischoff and Race at the commentary table to do guest commentary on the battle royal.

Battle Royal for a shot at the AWA World Title

The ring announcer introduces the first 9 contenders- Jake” The Snake” Roberts, Nikita Koloff, Bam Bam Bigelow, Jeff Jarrett, Hercules, The Great Muta, Davey Boy Smith, Dynamite Kid and Kokina…

As Kokina enters the ring, everyone (except Bigelow) attack the big Samoan, and drive him out of the ring, eliminating him.  The rest of them start to pair off as Bischoff, Race and DiBiase question where the 10th competitor was.  Bigelow tosses Dynamite Kid over the top, while Muta eliminates Jarrett.  Koloff and Bigelow battle in one corner and Jake eliminates Hercules in the other.  Muta then tosses Davey Boy out of the ring.  Koloff and Bigeow eliminate each other, and Jake backdrops Muta from the ring.  Jake is alone in the ring, but the bell hasn’t sounded.  Jake looks up the aisle waiting for someone else to come out.  DiBiase says he told you that everyone has a price…..

At this point HARLEY RACE gets up from the commentary table, takes his jacket off and gets in the ring, attacking Jake from behind.  The crowd go from an amazing roar to a series of boos as Race has them in the palm of his hand.  Bischoff can’t believe Race is entered in the match.  DiBaise just laughs.  Harley beats on Jake, but Jake battles back.  He tries for a DDT, but Race turns it into a backdrop at the ropes, but Jake lands on the apron.  Race raises his arms in victory, but Jake re-enters the ring and throws Race out the other side.

Winner:  Jake “The Snake” Roberts.

DiBiase is not happy at the result, while Bischoff says that Jake will face him for the World Title.  He encourages all fans to get to the arena for Super Show-Down Under to see who will emerge as the World Champion.

SUPER SHOW-DOWN UNDER

From Sydney Entertainment Centre

Eric Bischoff and Harley Race welcome us to the first big event of AWA: Super Show-Down Under.  Bischoff says tonight we will have two world champions crowned when we get the finals of the Tag Team Tournament, and then Ted DiBiase will face Jake Roberts for the AWA World Title.  Bischoff notes that we very nearly saw Harley Race in the match for the AWA Title.  Race says that he stepped up last week to prove that he is still a Championship contender, and even though he has held more World Titles than any wrestler in history, and who knows he may still challenge the winner of tonight’s match, but he is looking forward to providing insight into the World Title Match and seeing a new Champion crowned. Bischoff promises that tonight will be memorable.

Rick Martel pinned Terry Funk after a small package.  Race says that these two men have both been world champions before, and will likely be amongst the first to challenge whoever wins the title tonight.  The match is a good contest, with both men getting several near falls.  The finish comes when Funk tries the spinning toe-hold but Martel rolls him up for the win.

Bad Company beat The Sheepherders by DQ when Luke and Butch continued to double-team Pillman and Hart despite the referees continued warning to stop.  Luke and Butch then threw the ref from the ring and continue to batter their opponents.  Luke and Butch then start to mock the crowd before grabbing chairs and continue their beating.  Referees and Backstage Officials hit the ring trying to hold the Sheepherders back.  AWA President Mario Milano then enters the ring and threatens to hit Luke and Butch, which startles them and they choose to leave the ring.  Pillman and Hart have to be carried to the back on stretchers.

Kokina w/Paul E Dangerously pinned Tom Zenk after a Bonzai Splash in the corner.  This was a significant mismatch and Zenk was never in the match.  Bischoff and Race both commented on Kokina’s surprising agility for a big man, and questioned if anyone would even be able to knock Kokina off his feet.

We get a video review of the first round of the AWA World Tag Team Title tournament.  Bischoff declares that the British Bulldogs are the crowd favourites tonight.  Race says that The Samoan SWAT Team and The Powers of Pain both have very good managers who can add an extra element needed to become a World Champion.

The Powers of Pain w/Paul Ellering demolish The Killer Bees.  Blair and Brunzell come to the ring with straping and bandages selling the attack last week’s All-Star Wrestling.  Warlord and Barbarian attack the Bees as they enter the ring, and never lay off.  Brunzell and Blair try to fight back, but the power of Warlord and Barbarian is too much, and Warlord hits a powerslam on Brunzell to get the win.

British Bulldogs beat The Samoan SWAT Team w/Paul E Dangerously when Dynamite Kid pins Samu after Davey Boy press-slammed him onto top of Samu.  This is a good contest.  The Samoans double-team and get help from Paul E to swing the tide of the match.  Dynamite takes a beating, but gets the hot tag to Davey Boy and the tide of the match turns.  Paul E tries to hit Davey Boy with his phone while Samu holds him, but Davey Boy breaks away and Samu takes the shot, allowing the Bulldogs to hit their finisher.

Bischoff and Race talk about how Bob Orton cost Kerry Von Erich a shot at the World Title 2 weeks ago.  Race says that Orton is a master technician who is now backed by the Million Dollar Man’s money.  Bischoff says that Kerry is a feiry and determined man, but Race says that emotion may prove to be Kerry’s downfall.

Cowboy Bob Orton pinned Kerry Von Erich after using brass knuckles.  Von Erich came out on fire and dominated early, but Orton avoided a charging Kerry in the corner and took control, working the arm and neck.  Kerry battled back, and hit a discuss punch and then clamped on the Iron Claw.  Orton managed to quickly get to the rope, forcing the ref to break the hold.  This allowed Orton to go into his tights, grabbing something and then hitting Kerry in the head, knocking him out.  Orton then made the cover for the win.  Bischoff points out on the replay that Orton used brass knuckles.  Race says you do whatever you have to in the ring to get the win.

Criag DeGeorge interviews The Sheepherders in the back.  They say that what happened tonight is just the beginning.  They say that they cannot stand Australia, or Australians, and anyone who tries to get their support, and they plan to create havoc and carnage every time they are in the ring, and there is no one that can stop them.

Eric Bischoff is with Jake “The Snake” Roberts.  Roberts says that he has waited a lifetime to be crowned World Champion, and tonight he will prove that money can’t buy everything when he pins the Million Dollar Man and walks out AWA World Champion.

Craig DeGeorge then interviews Ted DiBiase.  DiBiase says that dreams do come true to those who have the money to but the dreams.  He says that his investments have all been towards tonight, and that after tonight not only will he be the riches man in wrestling, not only will he be the best technician, but he will also be the AWA World Champion.

Hercules beat Jeff Jarrett by submission to the torture rack backbreaker.  Young Jarrett tried his best but couldn’t match the power of Hercules.  Jarrett tries a ross body, but Hercules catches him mid-air, and then puts him on the shoulders into the torture rack to get the win.

Nikita Koloff beat Bam Bam Bigelow w/Paul E Dangerously following the Russian Sickle.  This was a great contest, with both men using their power to their advantage.  Dangerously tripped Koloff to allow Bigelow to gain control of the match, but Koloff fought back, and got really fired up.  Bigelow missed a diving headbutt, and then Koloff launched himself off the ropes with the Sickle to get the win.

The Great Muta w/Sensational Sherri pinned Ron Garvin after a moonsault.  Muta comes out to the ring with Sherri, which surprises both Bischoff and Race.  Bischoff says Garvin is one of the toughest men in the ring.  Race notes that Garvin is not as tough as him.  Muta surprises everyone with his speed, but Garvin withstands a lot of chops and lands several strong blows.  Sherri gets on the apron and distracts Garvin, and Muts hits a running kick to the back of the head dropping Garvin to the mat, and allowing him to hit the Moonsault to the gasp of the crowd and bringing him the victory.

Craig De George is with Paul Ellering and The Powers of Pain.  Ellering says that Walord and Barbarian are the elite team in the world, and the true legion of doom.  He says that they will soon prove their dominance by being crowned AWA Tag Team Champions.

Craig then interviews the Bulldogs.  The Bulldogs say that their unique bond with the Australian fans is going to give them the inspiration they need to become the champs tonight.

The British Bulldogs beat The Powers of Pain to win the AWA World Tag Team Titles when Davey Boy pinned Barbarian.  An awesome blend of power and technique in this match really draws the audience in.  Both teams take time to shine.  Dynamite hits a superplex on Barbarian for a near fall.  Later Warlord hits a powerbomb on Dynamite for a near fall.  Davey Boy gets a hot tag and battles both Powers of Pain.  Ellering distracts the ref, and Warlod and Barbarian double team Davey but Dynamite comes off the top rope with a missile dropkick on Warlord, sending him reeling backwards into Ellering, and both men end up on the floor.    Davey then hits a powerslam on Barbarian to get the win.  The Bulldogs celebrate in the ring and with the crowd as Bischoff and Race review the match.

Bischoff and Race preview the main event.  Race says he believes that DiBiase is the best technician in AWA at the moment, and with the support of Orton he should win the title.  Bischoff says that Roberts is more determined, and has an ability to get a win from nowhere and says he will become the World Champion.

Ted DiBiase w/Bob Orton pinned Jake Roberts to become the AWA World Champion.  Jake dominated early, and tried for the DDT to get a quick win, but DiBiase escaped to the floor.  Roberts chased DiBiase on the outside, but Orton attacked Roberts from behind allowing DiBiase to seize control.    DiBiase worked the neck of Roberts and tries for the Million Dollar Dream, but Roberts gets to the ropes.  Roberts tries an Irish whip, but DiBiase reverses it straight into the ref, who goes down.  Roberts immediately hits the DDT, but there is no ref to count the pin.  Roberts tries to revive the ref, but Orton comes into the ring and hits Jake with a chair, knocking Roberts out.  Orton drags DiBiase over to cover Jake as the ref crawls over and counts a very slow 3 count.  Bischoff cries foul, but Race praises DiBiase for proving that his money has proven it can buy the title.  DiBiase finally gets up and starts to celebrate, but Jake grabs Damian and chases DiBiase and Orton out of the ring, and then poses with Damian as the show ends.

There is an abundance of big names down under and you've got some good use out of them so far.  I love the use of the tag teams... especially Ellering with the POP. Nikita vs Bam Bam would be a closet favorite matchup for me IRL. I always thought those two had many similarities when it comes to their careers. Dibiase as the first champion is the right way to go. Jake is a better hunter... his chase will be great but I don't know if he has what it takes to take the gold!

All Star Wrestling Episode 5

Eric Bischoff and Harley Race welcome us to another episode of All-Star Wrestling.  Race talks up the fact the he correctly predicted the winner of the AWA World Title Match the previous evening, revealing once again why he is the greatest champion the sport has ever seen, “because he can see championsip calibre wrestlers before anyone else does”.  Bischoff says that tonight we will see a very special presentation of the AWA World Title to Ted DiBiase.  Race says that Bischoff had better show proper respect when that time comes.

Tom Zenk beat Barry Hoirowitz with a cross body block.

In the back, Craig DeGeorge is with the Killer Bees. Brian Blair says that in the past 2 weeks they have been ambushed, assaulted, and beaten down, but the will to win and drive of spirit can never be beaten.  Jim Brunzell says that at Super Show-Down Under they were not 100%, and the Powers of Pain still felt the need to attack them from behind before the match started. The Bees says they want another piece of the Powers of Pain. After the interview Race asks whether both Bees suffered a concussion last weekend as they must have brain damage to want to face the Powers of Pain again.

Samoan SWAT Team w/Paul E Dangerously beat Brian Adams & Steve Blackman when Fatu pinned Blackman after a top-rope splash.

We go to the “Event Centre” with Craig DeGeorge.  Craig runs down how Cowboy Bob Orton cost Kerry Von Erich a chance to compete for the AWA World Title, and then how he cheated to defeat Von Erich at Super Show-Down Under.  Kerry Von Erich is shown saying that he underestimated Orton, but he won’t do that again, and promises to make Orton beg for mercy.  Orton states that Von Erich should go crawling back to Texas as he can’t cut it here in the AWA, and Orton promises to ensure that Von Erich goes back to Texas with a one-way ticket.

Great Muta w/Sensational Sherri pinned SD Jones after a top-rope moonsault.  Race says that Muta is one of the most impressive wrestlers in the AWA at the moment,  Bischoff asks whether he truly needs a manager like Sherri, and Race says that Muta in Japanese and English is not his primary language, probably needs someone who can speak on his behalf and ensure he is not being cheated in contracts.

Craig DeGeorge is with the Sheepherders in the back.  Craig says they have been cutting a path of destruction the past month in the AWA.  Luke Williams says just like the all-conquering New Zealand All-Blacks, the Sheepherders are plowing through the competition in Australia, but are the victims of hoe-town refereeing decisions.  Butch Miller issues a challenge to the British Bulldogs to put their newly won World Tag Team Titles on the line, and discover why New Zealand is the producer of the greatest teams on the planet.

Bad Company (Bruce Hart & Brian Pillman) beat Steve Lombardi & Tiger Chung Lee when Brian Pillman pinned Lombardi after a rocket launcher.

Eric Bischoff is in the ring with AWA President Mario Milano, who is holding the brand new AWA World Title.  Bischoff invites the new world champion to join him in the ring.  “The Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase, along with his bodyguard Cowboy Bob Orton, make their way to the ring.  Milano congratulates DiBiase on his victory at Super Show-Down Under, and offers him the world Title.  Orton steps in-between Milano and DiBiase and tells Milano to back up.  DiBiase grabs the mic and says he will not accept the World Title from a president who never held a World Title.  In fact, he tells Milano and Bischoff to get out of the ring.  He says he will inly accept a world title from someone who is a true world champion, and he asks Harley Race to present him with the title.  Race straightens his shirt, gets in the ring and grabs the title from Milano.  Race rubs Milano’s fingerprints off the title and offers it to DiBiase, and shakes his hand.  Orton then straps the title around DiBiase’s waist.  Race says that DiBiase reminds him of himself and says that he cannot see an equal in the World of Wrestling at the moment.  DiBiase thanks Race, and says that he has proven that Money can buy anything, and it has brought him the AWA World Title, and it is going to buy him a long title reign.  He says that no one has talent to take it away from him ever.  While he is talking, the camera picks up Jake Roberts coming through the crowd, trying to hide from view.  DiBiase is saying that he has the greatest bodyguard, the greatest training facilities and….. At this point Roberts jumps the rain and throws Damian into the ring, causing DiBiase, Orton and Race to jump out of the ring.  Roberts points to DiBiase and signals he wants the belt and then chases him down the aisle with Damian.  As Race returns to the commentary table he is furious, saying Roberts has no right to be in the ring tonight.  Bischoff just asks if Race is scared of snakes, and Race threatens to knock Bischoff out.

Nikita Koloff beat Jose Estrada following a Russian Sickle.

Race is still going on about Roberts unprovoked attack.  Bischoff tells him to complain to DiBiase.  Race says that Bischoff had better be careful of the AWA will need a new commentator next week.  Bischoff tells us that next week we will see Rick Martel, Hercules and The Powers of Pain.  Race says that we may not see Bischoff though…..

There's a lot going on here in the follow-up. First off I really think Tom Zenk and the SST are some people to get behind over the long haul. I've been watching a lot of their WCW runs and they definitely have some talent. Muta and Sherri is also something that is highly intriguing. For some reason I see it working really well. Lastly the angle with Dibiase and Jake was well done. I think that keeping hands off for a while and playing the mind games on both ends is really the route with these guys.

All-Star Wrestling Episode 6

Eric Bischoff welcomes us to another week of All-Star Wrestling, but Harley Race immediately cuts him off and asks if Bischoff is going to be as rude and impertinent as he was last week.  Bischoff says he does not know what Race is talking about, but Race just tells Eric to stay in line this week.

Rick Martel beat Barry Horowitz by submission to the Boston Crab.  Bischoff pointed out that Martel is one of the top contenders for a shot at the AWA title, and is a previous AWA Champion.  Race said that was a different era, and he is not certain Martel has the capability to beat The Million Dollar Man.

Craig DeGeorge is in the back with Nikita Koloff.  Koloff thanks the Aussie fans for their support since he arrived.  He says that the world has become closer in recent years, but there always seems to be someone who is making threats, or bullying those smaller than him.  Koloff says someone like Kokina uses his size to intimidate people, but Nikita is not intimidated by anyone.  Nikita says that he faced more fearsome men growing up in Soviet Russia, and a man like Kokina is just a big obstacle to be overcome.  Koloff says that anytime Kokina wants to take him on, he will be waiting for him.

Powers of Pain w/Paul Ellering destroyed Brian Adams & DJ Peterson when Barbarian pinned Peterson after a doomsday device from the top rope.  After the match Ellering grabbed the microphone and proclaimed that no one in the AWA, or the world, can patch his powers of pain.  He said other companies are running a tag team tournament, but the greatest team in Wrestling was not even invited.

Craig DeGEorge is in the event centre.  He reflects on the victory we just saw from the Powers of Pain, and Ellering’s comments, but notes that the Powers of Pain did lose to the Bulldogs in the AWA Tag Title match.  DeGeorge then notes that there are other teams also interested in putting another loss of the Powers of Pain resume.  He then crosses to the Killer Bees.  Brian Blair says that 2 weeks ago the Powers of Pain jumped them before the bell and took advantage of pre-existing injuries to get a win.  Brunzell says that on even terms they know they can beat the Pinheads of Pain.  They tell the Powers of Pain that they are on the hunt to sting them.  DeGeorge says that the coming battle between the Powers of Pain and Killer Bees is one all fans are going to want to see.

Hercules forced Jim Powers to submit to a torture rack backbreaker.

We now go to the ring for a new segment: QUEENS COURT w/ Sensational Sherri.  Sherri says that she is the queen of wrestling, and she will be bringing her beauty and splendour to the AWA every week.  She introduces her first guest as a young, good-looking man, but a little naive.  Out comes Jeff Jarrett.  Sherri says that Jarrett is a little young to be a professional wrestler.  Jarrett says he may be young, but he has grown up in the business.  Sherri calls him a “daddys boy”.  Jarrett says he does not need anyne to fight a battle for him, he is a man who can beat any wrestler in the company on his own.  Sherri asks if he thinks he is better than the wrestlers older than him?  Jarrett says he knows he can beat any wrestler.  Sherri comments that Jarrett considers himself better than older wrestlers.  She asks him if he thinks he is better than someone like Terry Funk.  Jarrett says it would be an honour to face Terry Funk, but he is confident he can beat him.  Terry Funk comes out, and turns Jarrett round, and asks him to say it again.  Jarrett starts to say he could beat Funk, but Funk just starts to attack Jarrett.  He grabs a chair and slams it on his head., before glaring at Jarrett and asking whether he “can beat that”.

Kokina w/Paul E. Dangerously beat Outback Jack & Steve Blackman in a handicap match when he pinned both men after a “double” Banzai Splash.  Race highlighted how impressive it is to beat 2 men at once, and that Kokina is on a fast track to being one of the best big men in the business.

Craig DeGeorge is with the British Bulldogs, and congratulates them on becoming AWA Tag Team Champions.  Davey Boy says they do not intend to hide behind these belts, and they will face any team that wants to sign a contract.  Dynamite then says that the Sheepherders started running their mouth last week.  He says if they want to bring their carnage to the ring, they may find out that these two Bulldogs have a pretty nasty bite.

Jake Roberts pinned  Tiger Chung Lee after a DDT.   As Robert started going to get Damien, Race started yelling at him from the commentary table, calling him a  coward.  Roberts beckoned Race into the ring, but Bischoff stood up and tried to hold Race back.  Race punched Bischoff and Roberts looked set to come make the save when he was attacked from behind by Ted DiBiase and Bob Orton, being joined by Race in the ring.  The three men continued to attack until multiple AWA officials and several lower card wrestlers made the save.  Orton then grabbed the bag containing Damian and handed it to DiBiase as the three attackers made their way to the back as the show went off the air.

I really appreciate the use of DeGeorge here. I think he is in a spot that really suits him. He is really moving things forward and keeping the stories moving. The Queen's Court is an amazing segment. Sheri could have done this with ease in this time frame. Great stuff. I also like the focus here of all the big names getting wins that needed them. Each person who won tonight is moving forward towards something. The biggest is obviously Jake who has got a lot of heat on hi with Race (surprise), Orton, and Dibiase. Damien can even the odds for so long... he is going to need some big time back up and soon!

All-Star Wrestling Episode 7

Craig DeGeorge welcomes us to All-Star Wrestling.  He announces that after last week’s incident on-air, Eric Bischoff is unwilling to commentate tonight citing unsafe working conditions.  Harley Race interrupts saying that the only thing unsafe for Bischoff is his big mouth, and if DeGeorge is not careful he may find the same working conditions exist tonight.  DeGeorge asks Harley to keep his cool tonight.  Race says he is the Emperor of Wrestling, and can do what he wants, when he wants.

Bam Bam Bigelow w/Paul E Dangerously pinned SD Jones after a flying headbutt.  After the match Paul E grabbed the mic and challenged anyone who was “man enough” to face Bam Bam to come to the ring right now.  The crowd buzzed when “Rugged” Ron Garvin walked out to ringside.  He pointed to Bam Bam and said “anytime”.  Paul E “held” Bigelow back from a fight as officials hovered to ensure nothing else happened.

With Craig DeGeorge on commentary, we cross to the back with Australian Sports Commentator Mike Gibson.  Gibson is with the Bushwackers.  Luke Williams says that in just a couple of weeks the British Bulldogs tag team title reign will come to an end.  Butch Miller says that the Sheepherders are going to prove that New Zealand produces the best teams in the world, and the Sheepherders are the best in the business.  He says that just like the All Blacks, they will stop at nothing to become World Champions.

The Killer Bees defeated The Conquistadors when Jim Brunzell pinned “I”.  While the Bees dominated the match, The Conquistadors keep “changing positions”.  At one point in the match the Conquistadors cheated to gain an advantage on Blair, and Blair and Brunzell rolled to the floor and donned masks, and then Brunzell hit a dropkick from the top rope and got the win.  Race blew up about the killer Bees using masks, saying that it was blatant cheating.  Craig said that the Conquistadors did it first and Race threatened to slap Craig.

Mike Gibson is in the Event Centre tonight.  He advises that in 2 weeks time the AWA will be hitting all the major cities of Australia, and fans won’t want to miss out on being there.  He says that World Champion Ted DiBiase will be defending the title against Jake “The Snake” Roberts, and Cowboy Bob Orton will meet Kerry Von Erich in an Outback Death Match (No DQ).  He then announces that fans have been intrigued by the Pearl of the Orient, The Great Muta.  We see some brief highlights of Muta, and Gibson announces that Muta will be meeting Rick Martel.  Martel in interviewed saying that Muta has already proven to be very adept in the ring, but he intends to take his own game up a notch when he faces Muta in the ring as he plans to climb the ladder in the AWA and earn a shot at the World Title.

“Cowboy” Bob Orton defeated Paul Roma after a superplex.

Immediately following the match we cross to the Queens Court with Sensational Sherri.  She introduces her guest as one of the most gullible men in the world, Kerry Von Erich.  Von Erich says that the old saying is fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me.  He says that e is no one’s fool, and that Bob Orton is the one who has stepped into the trap.  By this point Orton has left the ring and come to the Queen’s Court Set.  He says that Kerry doesn’t learn, and that he is in for another beating very soon.  Kerry says that Orton seems to be relying on Ted DiBiase and Harley Race to give him help when he needs it, proving that Orton can’t fight battles on his own.  He says if Orton won’t fight on his own, why should I.  Kerry says that he has arranged for a major surprise when he faces Orton in the Australian cities in 2 weeks time.  Orton says Kerry doesn’t have the finances to get a surprise that will be a problem.  Kerry says his surprise is something money can never buy, and he leaves the set with Orton and Sherri both looking very confused.

Terry Funk defeated Steve Blackman following a piledriver.  Following the match Funk dropped Blackman with 2 more piledrivers, but Jeff Jarrett rushed out to the ring and dropkicked Funk out of the ring.  Funk tried to get back in, but the ref stopped him.  Race said it is unfair for the ref to stop Funk after Jarrett attacked him from behind.  Craig pointed out that Funk was beating on a defenceless man.

Race told Craig to shut his mouth or he would shut it for him.  Race then stood up, but the crowd buzzed as Mario Milano came out to the ring.  He calls Harley Race into the ring.  Milano says that as President he wants to allow the best wrestlers in the world to strut their stuff in the ring, but he will not allow anarchy to rule in Australia.  He says that Australia may be a democracy, but he is the President of the AWA, and so what he says goes.  Harley says he is the Emperor of Wrestling, the greatest the world has ever seen.  Mario says that back when they were both competing he seems to remember that Harley never wanted to get on the ring with him before.  Race says that Milano was never good enough to face him in the ring, and if he wants he is more than willing to lay a beatdown right now.  Mialno says that Race needs to take a step back.  He says that Race was hired by the AWA to provide expert commentary, not to beat up commentators and get involved in other wrestlers business.  He says that the AWA pays him, not the Million Dollar Man.  Race says that a man can earn two incomes.  Milano says that he is here tonight to remind Race that he is not an in-ring competitor in AWA, and that his assault on Eric Bischoff is unacceptable.  He says he spoke to Eric earlier tonight, and Eric has agreed to return to work next week and not press charges against Harley IF Harley apologises to him and never attacks him again.  Race says he will do what he wants, when he wants.  Mario says that if Race can’t agree to those terms, he has police waiting backstage to come out and arrest him immediately.  Milano ives Race a minute to think, and turns to the crowd.  Race rears back to hit Milaon, but he turns around and Race immediately backs up.  Milano takes several steos towards Race who immediately agrees to the terms.  Mario says that next week Race will apologise at the start of the broadcast, and tells him he can go back to his commentary for the rest of tonight.

The British Bulldogs beat Steve Lombardi & DJ Peterson when Davey Boy pinned Lombardi after a powerslam.

DeGeorge says that the Bulldogs are clearly ready for any challengers to their titles.  Race said that the challengers are lining up, and the Sheepherders are at the top of the list….and they are crazy.  Craig says that we will see the Sheepherders next week on All-Star Wrestling, as well as World Champion Ted DiBiase.  Race says that next week will be one no one wants to miss.  Craig then says that we will also see Eric Bischoff back in commentary, and Race was clearly annoyed at this comment, but said nothing else.

I like that you've took it up a notch with the King Harley Race gimmick as I think it's gonna suit him very well, whatever you do next with Harley. Also, I feel like Bam Bam being paired with Paul E can make a lot of damage in your AWA. Can't wait to see what happens next!

I have some intrigue to see a hands of stone Ronnie Garvin vs a tougher than nails Bam Bam in a brawl. Muta vs Martel is a little early for me... I would prefer t see Muta get a big build but hopefully it works out because you know the matches are going to be awesome. Queen's court is spectacular once again. Terry Funk is kind of an outlaw without a cause right now - perhaps something will open up for him soon. Good stuff from down under - things are moving nicely in the right direction.

All-Star Wrestling Episode 8

Eric Bischoff welcomes us to another week of All-Star Wrestling.  He apologises for his absence last week, but states that after his safety and well-being had been threatened he needed assurances from AWA executives before he could return to work.  He then welcomes Harley Race to commentary.  The camera pans back to a steely faced Race, who is holding a piece of paper.  Race reads from the sheet “2 weeks ago I let my emotions get the better of me and it led to me striking Eric Bischoff during a broadcast of All-Star Wrestling.  I recognise that I am employed by AWA as an expert commentator and not an in-ring competitor, and that Mr Bischoff is not a trained wrestler either.  For the hurt that I caused you Mr Bischoff, I apologise”.  It is clear from Race’s tone that he does not truly mean what he is reading, and he offers a handshake to Bischoff without looking at him.  Bischoff accepts the handshake, and the apology and returns his look to the camera, at which time Race stares daggers into Bischoff.  Eric says that we are 1 week away from AWA’s national tour of Australia, and encourages all fans to go and buy their tickets, and that tonight we will be seeing the World Champion in action.  Race says that it has been clear to him that AWA officials are trying to hold back Ted DiBiase, but greatness always rises to the top, and he looks forward to seeing the World Champion in the ring tonight.

Kerry Von Erich beat Steve Lombardi by Submission to the Iron Claw.  During the match Bob Orton made his way to ringside and tried to distract Kerry.  Kerry began to yell at Orton, allowing Lombardi to try attack Kerry from behind, but Kerry turned around and dropped Lombardi with a discuss punch and then clamped on the Claw for the win.  After the match Orton tried to sneak attack Kerry, but Kerry hit another discuss punch that sent Orton out of the ring.  Kerry then grabbed the microphone and promised Orton and the fans that he is not going to allow Orton to get away with any sneak attacks or dirty tricks any more.  He promises that next weekend when they meet in their Texas Death Match that he has an “Ace” up his sleeve.  Bischoff asks Race if he knows what Kerry may be talking about, and Race says he does not think anyone truly knows what Kerry is talking about as Kerry is usually on another planet from the rest of the wrestlers in the locker room.

In the back Craig DeGeorge is with Sensational Sherri and The Great Muta.  Sherri says that Muta is the most gifted wrestler she has seen in the world, and he is rising up the ranks of AWA faster than anyone can imagine.  She said that next weekend Rick Martel has no idea what he is in for when he faces Muta.  She says tat Rick and her may share a last name, but that after next weekend she and Muta will be sharing the spoils of victory after Muta defeats Rick.  She says the AWA is on notice, because Muta is about to reveal how “great” he is.

Ron Garvin beat Jose Estrada after a Hands of Stone Punch.  During the match we get an inset promo from Paul E. Dangerously and Bam Bam Bigelow saying that Garvin may have Hands of Stone, but Bam Bam Bigleow is a Boulder that Garvin won’t be able to move past.  Race notes after the match that Garvin is one tough wrestler, but Bam Bam Bigelow is one of the most athletic big men he has seen in the ring in a long time.

We go to the event centre with Mike Gibson.  Gibson says that the AWA is hitting the major Australian Cities next weekend, and that the AWA will be televising the big AWA event in Melbourne.  He points out that Kerry Von Erich and Bob Orton will square off in a Texas Death Match, Terry Funk will meet young rookie Jeff Jarret, Nikita Koloff will face the giant Samoan Kokina while the Killer Bees are looking for revenge against the Powers of Pain.  However the Main Event is the big World Title rematch between Ted DiBiase and Jake “The Snake” Roberts.  We get some comments from Roberts, who says “30 days you have held that title Ted DiBiase.  30 days you have reaped the rewards that come from being champion.  But in less than 7 days DiBiase will be facing financial ruin, because that is the time that The Snake intends to bankrupt the Million Dollar Man by winning the World Title from him”.  Jake says that Damien has been itching to get a feel for what slithering around on a Million Dollars is like, and after DiBiase falls victim to the DDT Damien is going to get to find out.

The Sheepherders beat Brian Adams & SD Jones when they dropped Jones with a battering ram.  Throughout the match the Sheepherders tried to use chairs and weapons, and the ref struggled to maintain control.  Bischoff suggested that maybe 2 referees needed to be assigned to matches involving the Sheepherders.  Race says you can’t change the rules for just one team, and if you know how to take advantage of the rules, then you deserve to reap the benefits.

Craig DeGeorge is in the back with the British Bulldogs.  DeGeorge asks if they are prepared to defend the titles against the unorthodox Sheepherders.  Davey Boy says that the style of their opponent is not a concern, because they have fought all over the world, been trained by the best and can adapt to any situation in the ring… that is why they are the champion.  Dynamite says the Sheepherders can bring whatever they want to the ring, but they will find out that the Bulldogs are more than willing to fight fire with fire, and asks the questions if the Sheepherders can take it as well as dish it out.  They both promise to remain Tag Team Champions following next weekend.

Jeff Jarrett pinned Jose Luis Rivera after a cross body from the top rope.  Race says that Jarrett looked impressive tonight, but the experience of Funk, and his willingness to do anything to win, is something most rookies don’t understand yet.  Bischoff says that Jarrett is one of the brightest rookies in the world of wrestling, and just may spring an upset.  Race said anything is possible, but he lives in a world of reality, not dreaming.

We cross the to Queens Court.  Sherri introduces her guests as possibly the greatest physical specimen’s on the planet, The Powers of Pain, along with Paul Ellering.  Sherri drools all over Warlord and Barbarian.  Ellering says that his Powers of Pain are the most imposing team in the World of Wrestling.  He says that there are teams around the world that refuse to get a plane to Australia as they are scared to face them.  Sherri asks about their upcoming match with the Killer Bees.  Ellering says the Bees have brain damage for wanting to face the Powers of Pain again, and they are about to get another lesson in pain.  Sherri says that the Bees are nothing but bugs, and we all know what you do to bugs.  At this point Warlord and Barbarian both start flexing and say together “You Squash Them”, and then they all start laughing together.

Ted DiBiase beat Barry Horowitz.  DiBiase comes to the ring with Bob Orton, and takes the microphone.  HE says everyone has a price, and offers Horowtiz $100 to just forfeit the match.  Horowitz refuses.  Bischoff says you can’t buy an opponent off like that.  He then offers him $500 to leave the ring.  Horowitz refuses. Race points out that Horowitz will have a price. He then offers Horowitz $1000 to just lay down in the ring and allow himself to be pinned.  Horowitz can be seen thinking about this, and then nods in agreement.  Bischoff is shocked as race laughs aloud.  Orton counts out $1000 of cash, and hands it to DiBiase.  DiBiase gives it to Horowitz and tells him to lie down in the ring.  Horowitz does.  DiBiase then places a foot on the chest of Horowitz and Orton orders the ref to count the pin.  Bischoff says that this is a disgrace and the ref should not count the pin.  Race says “Why not, Horowitz took the money and there is a cover in the match”.  Bischoff says this is not what wrestling is about.  Race points out that wrestling is about winning, and DiBiase has just done that.  DiBiase takes the mic again and says that “Like I always say, everyone has a price for the Million Dollar Man, even a bum like this.  However, nothing comes for free in this world”.  At that comment, as Horowitz is counting the money in his hand, Orton and DiBiase attack Horowitz and beat him down.  Race says that you never turn your back on your opponent.  Bischoff says that the match is over, and Race points out that Bischoff was complaining just a minute ago that no match had ever taken place.  Now he has his match”. DiBiase and Orton are laying a huge beatdown when the crowd goes nuts as Jake The Snake runs to the ring, bag in hand.  He opens the bag and sends Damien into the ring, which sends DiBiase and Orton scurrying for safety.  Jake picks up Damien and beckons DiBiase to return to the ring.  DiBiase wants nothing to do with this.  Race says this is a true disgrace, as Roberts has no business being in the ring.  Race says Roberts needs to be taught a lesson, and Bischoff reminds Race of his role as a commentator.  Race gets up from his seat, and Roberts see this and points Damien to Race, who sits straight back down again.  Bischoff says that DiBiase may have met his match in Jake The Snake, and next week he may be saying good-bye to the World Title.  Race tells Eric not to count his chickens before they hatch.

I kind of like the idea of Sherri with Muta - I don't know about long term but it is definitely intriguing to get things going for Muta and one helluva mouthpiece.

I am still very interested in Terry Funk's role here... I see him as more but it doesn't appear as though he is climbing the ranks.

I always loved the Dibiase payoff angle... it can be used in such a big way. Dibiase has got his crew and Jake has got Damien... who could back up the Snake if need be?

AWA National Tour, May 1988

Televised from Melbourne, Australia

Eric Bischoff and Harley Race welcome us to Melbourne Australia for the AWA National Tour.  Bischoff gives a run down of the card, saying that all the tars of the AWA are here tonight, and both championships are on the line.  Race says that tonight The Million Dollar Man will once again prove he is the greatest wrestler in the world when he beats Jake The Snake for the second time.  Bischoff asks whether Race will stay in his seat tonight, or get actively involved.  Race said that he has a contract with the AWA to commentate the matches, and that is what he will do tonight, and then asks if Bischoff I questioning his integrity.  Bischoff says he would never question the integrity of Harley Race, but he does question the power of the money of the Million Dollar Man, and Race says “Well, as Ted DiBiase likes to say, everyone has a price…..”

Rick Martel vs Hercules

Martel gets a great reaction to start the show.   Hercules tries to overpower Martel, but Rick’s speed is too much for Hercules.  Hercules can’t control his frustration and charges Martel, who moves leading Hercules to crash into the corner.  Martel rolls Hercules up to get the pin.

Winner:  Rick Martel

Bam Bam Bigelow w/Paul E Dangerously vs Ron Garvin

Bischoff points out that these two are amongst the toughest guys in the AWA.  Race says that the difference is then the “extras”, and that is why Bigelow has Dangerously as a manager.  This match is a snug and tight brawl, with both men trading very solid shots.  Bigelow uses his size to work Garvin in the corner.  Garvin starts to chop back, and sends Bigelow to the floor.  Paul E gets up on the apron, and Garvin slugs him as well, causing Paul E to drop the phone.  Bigelow grabs the phone and clobbers Garvin in the back of the head.  He then comes off the top rope with the headbutt for the win.  Bischoff calls for the ref to disqualify Bigelow, but Race says that we don’t work with instant replays here, and says that “Paul E just outsmarted Garvin and the ref….. and apparently you….”

Winner:  Bam Bam Bigelow.

Bad Company vs Samoan SWAT Team w/Paul E

Paul E is straight back out, this time with the Samoans.  Bischoff notes that he is one of the busiest men in the company.  Race says that is part of the job of a manager, to do what is needed for their clients.  Pillman and Bruce Hart use quicks tags early, but Paul E trips Pillman, and the Samoans take over.  Fatu and Samu work Pillman for a few minutes until Samu misses a top rope splash, and Pillman gets the tag.  Bruce Hart comes in and fights both men off, but starts no-selling their attacks as well.  Fatu and Samu double team Hart, and this leads Pillman back in to land a double cross body.  Pillman dropkicks Fatu out of the ring, and Hart grabs Samu in a  bearhug, and Pillman hits a version of the Hart Attack.  Hart then quickly grabs a pin (while Pillman look bewildered).  Bischoff sounds a little confused at what just happened in the ring.  Race questions the teamwork of Bad Company, and says they just got lucky tonight.

Winners:  Bad Company

Terry Funk vs Jeff Jarrett

Bischoff says that Funk seems to have picked a fight because he is jealous of Jeff Jarrett’s youth.  Race breaks up laughing, and says that Funk, and people like himself, see these young punks who clearly have no respect for those who have come before.  He hopes Funk wipes the floor with Jarrett.  Race pretty much gets his wish.  Funk dominates most of the match.  Jarrett makes a late comeback, but misses a cross body off the top rope, and Funk drops him with a piledriver for the win.

Winner:  Terry Funk.

Eric and Race review the impact the Powers of Pain have had since their arrival in AWA.  Race calls them the most awesome team in the AWA.  Eric says that the Killer Bees have a lot of experience.  Race says they will need every ounce of it if they want to win this match.

Powers of Pain w/Paul Ellering vs Killer Bees

Ellering grabs the mic before the match, and proclaims the Powers of Pain the greatest tag team in the world.  He says they are the next evolution of tag team wrestling, and they are greater than any team he has ever managed before.  The Bees comes out to a great ovation, and immediately hit the ring and a brawl breaks out.  Warlord and Barbarian use their power to toss the Bees from the ring, but as the Powers pose to the crowd, Brunzell and Blair come off the top rope with dropkicks and the Powers are cleared from the ring.

The ref gets some control, and he match proceeds, with both teams using their skills to their best advantage.  Warlord and Barbarian’s power takes control as they work Blair for several minutes gaining near falls.  Warlord clamps on a bearhug, and Blair breaks it by slapping Warlord’s ears.  Het gets the hot tag to Brunzell, who dropkicks everyone and launches high-paced assault.  Brunzell comes off the ropes with a body block, but Warlord catches him and press slams him to the floor.  Brunzell and Blair then put on their masks, and one of them returns to the ring.  Warlord and Barbarian are confused, and Ellering is screaming.  The Bee gets an unexpected roll-up on Warlord, which gets a very close pin count.  Warlord kicks out and Barbarian nearly decapitates the Bee, allowing the Powers of Pain to get the win.  Ellering jumps for joy as the other Bee tends to his partner.  Warlord and Barbarian then lay a beat down on the other Bee, and Warlord picks the Bee up and Barbarian hits a flying clothesline.  Ellering then instructs the Powers of Pain to leave the ring.  Bischoff says it was disgusting to watch that attack, but Race calls is a dominant win, which should put the Powers of Pain next in line for a title shot.

Winners:  Powers of Pain

We cross to Craig DeGeorge with Cowboy Bob Orton and Ted DiBiase.  Orton says that Kerry Von Erich is a fool, and that tonight he will teach him a painful lesson.  DiBiase says that Kerry has promised some back-up, but that there is not enough money in the world to pay someone to be Kerry Von Erich’s friend, while DiBiase says he has friends everywhere.

Mike Gibson is with Kerry Von Erich.  Kerry says that DiBiase and Orton have let their money go to their heads.  He says they pay off wrestlers, officials and other authorities, but tonight no amount of money can save them, because there is a bond out there that is stronger than money….  Kerry then walks to the ring.

Kerry Von Erich vs Cowboy Bob Orton in a Texas Death Match

Orton comes out first, accompanied by Ted DiBiase.  Kerry then comes to the ring.  He stops just short of the ring, and asks for a microphone.  Kerry says that he knew that Orton would not come to the ring alone, and that he knew he needed some support in his corner that money could not buy… and so he put in a call to Denton, Texas, and asked someone very close to him to fly out to Australia.  He says that blood is thicker than water, and calls out his brother KEVIN VON ERICH, who gets a massive ovation.  DiBiase is furious, and Race this this can’t happen.  He says that Kevin has no right to be here.  Bischoff says that if Orton can have people accompany him to the ring, so can Von Erich.

Orton and Von Erich then tear into each other in the ring.  They take advantage of the NO DQ rules and batter each other.  Orton gets Kerry in the corner, and DiBiase passes him a small piece of metal, and Orton uses it to cut Kerry open.  Kevin rushes around chasing DiBiase, while Orton beats on Kerry.  The ref goes to the floor to stop Kevin, and DiBiase jumps in the ring and he and Orton land a double suplex.  DiBiase leaves the ring, and Orton keeps beating on Kerry’s cut, opening him wider.  Kerry battles back, and they spill out of the ring and into the crowd.  Kevin then jumps the barrier and attacks Orton from behind.  The distracts the ref, and DiBiase locks Kerry in the Million Dollar Dream.  Kevin sees this and chases DiBiase, who this time flees the ring towards the back.  Race keeps saying that Kevin has no right to be out here or do any of this, and no he may be compromising DiBiase’s title defence tonight.

Kerry and Orton have returned to the ring, and Kerry is struggling with the blood loss.  Orton sets up Kerry for the Superplex, but Kerry starts to fight him off.  Orton grabs a chair and slams it into Kerry’s head.  Orton smiles and starts to prepare to deliver the superplex, when Kevin return to the ring to a massive ovation.  Orton is distracted, and this allows Kerry to push him off again.  Kevin hits the ring and hits a Karate kick to Orton and clamps on the claw.  Kerry climbs down, and Kevin spins Orton into the Tornado Punch from Kerry, who gets the pin for the victory.  Race is livid, saying that the referee should not count the pin.  Bischoff says that it was No DQ, and so could not do anything about it.  Race says that he knows this is not the end, and that DiBiase will make it right.

Winner:  Kerry Von Erich

Craig DeGeorge is in the back with Sensational Sherri and The Great Muta.  Sherri says that the world is clamouring to see Muta, and for good reason- he is the most exciting wrestler in the world today.  She says that she is going to ensure that Muta is not taken advantage of, and is going to lead him to the top, so she can get all she is entitled to.

As Sherri and Muta leave, DiBiase and Orton storm in.  They scream about how the AWA needs to overturn that decision.  They say that Kevin Von Erich had no right to enter that ring, and DiBiase says he is getting his lawyers onto it.  DeGeorge suggests that this may be taking DiBiase’s focus off his world title match.  DiBiase grabs Craig by the collar, and says that everything was signed, sealed and delivered, and now it has all blown up in smoke.  Then Harley Race comes to the back.  He says he has already made a complaint to AWA President Mario Milano, and now they need to refocus.  He says that he has a plan, and suggests they go somewhere quickly to work this out.

Mike Gibson is with the British Bulldogs.  They promise tonight that they will stand tall and show the Sheepherders why they are the best team in the world.  They say that if they need to they will fight fire with fire, and the bite in this dog is worse than it’s bark.

Harley race returns to commentary, and Bischoff asks what that was all about.  Race tells him to mind his own business, because he had to conduct some quick business.

The Great Muta w/Sensational Sherri vs Tom Zenk

This match does not last long.  After some early back and forth, Muta takes total command.  He wows the crowd with a springboard elbow to the corner and a tornado DDT off the ropes before landing a Moonsault for the win.  Sherri jumps into his arms with excitement after the match, and says he will soon be her champion.

Winner: The Great Muta

The British Bulldogs vs The Sheepherders for AWA World Tag Team Titles

This ends up being a wild match.  The Bulldogs try to keep it scientific early, and dominate the early stages, but the Sheepherders keep double teaming and causing chaos.  The Bulldogs get drawn into a melee in the ring, and this distracts the ref, and allows Butch to grab a chair and whallop Davey Boy in the head.  The Sheepherders, ram him into the ringpost, and then drive him into the guard-rail.  Davey gets busted open, and Dynamite tries to help him.  This distracts the ref again, and the Sheepherders double-team again.  Davey starts to battle back, and makes a hot tag to Dynamite.  He battles both Sheepherders, and another melee occurs.  This time Dynamite dropkicks Luke to the floor, and then drives him into the ringpost, busting him open.  Dynamite gets back in the ring and he and Davey land a double clothesline on Butch.  Davey Boy powerslams Butch in the ring, and then Dynamite comes off the top rope with the headbutt for the win.

Winners:  The British Bulldogs.

Kokina w/Paul E. Dangerously vs Nikita Koloff

Bischoff says he is in awe of Kokina’s size, but notes that Koloff may just have the strength to combat him.  Race acknowledges Koloff is strong, but Kokina’s size cannot be overcome.  Kokina dominates the early stages of the match, no-selling Koloff’s offense and wearing him down with his size.  Koloff starts to fight back, but gets cut off each time.  Kokina goes for a splash in the corner, but Koloff avoids it.  Kokina is stunned and Koloff fires up and staggers Kokina with a series of shots.  He then comes off the middle rope with a shouldblock and Kokina actually goes down.  Race is stunned and Bischoff says that Koloff may actually win.  Koloff goes for a slam, and can’t get Kokina up, and Race calls him very stupid.  Kokina slams Koloff and goes for a legdrop, but Koloff avoids that as well.  Koloff comes off the ropoes with the Russian Sickle once, and Kokina staggered.  Kokina hits a second and Kokina falls down.  Koloff looks to the crowd for approval and comes off the ropes with an elbow.  He makes the cover, but Kokina kicks out.  Kokina then levels Koloff with a karate kick, and lands the Bonzai Drop to get the win.

Winner:  Kokina

Craig DeGeorge is with Jake “The Snake” Roberts.  Jake says that DiBiase’s time is up, the company gets bankrupt tonight and the title will have a new owner.  DiBiase says that tonight Damian will be feasting on bloated money-makers, and he will be basking in the glory of becoming the new World Champion.

Ted DiBiase w/Cowboy Bob Orton vs Jake Roberts for AWA World Title

Both men start cautiously.  Every time Jake lands some shots, DiBiase bails to the floor and consults with Orton.    Jake keeps getting the better of DiBiase early, and DiBiase is getting frustrated, and he goes to the floor again, and this time he and Orton go over and consult with Race.  Bischoff says that Race can’t do that, but Race tells him to shut up, saying he is still in his seat and they came to him.  Robertys comes to the floor and rams DiBiase and Orton together, and then slams DiBiase on the table on top of Race, angering everyone.  Race starts to yell at Roberts, who gets distracted and Orton attacks him from behind.  The ref intervenes and orders Orton to the back.  Race tells him to go as DiBiase takes control of the match.  DiBiase works Roberts for a few minutes, and Race keeps providing “suggestions” as part of his commentary.  Bischoff questions if Race is breaching the rules laid out by President Milano, and Race says that if Milano does not like it he can come and deal with it.  DiBiase locks in a long chinlock, which leads to a power-out by Roberts and a belly-to-back suplex.  Roberts gains some momentum, hitting a knee-lift and a series of elbows in the corner.  Jake hits a short clothesline and signals for the DDT.  Jake tries for it, but DiBiase reverses to a backdrop.  Roberts comes off the ropes, but DiBiase avoids a clothesline and clamps on the Million Dollar Dream.  Roberts manages to get to the corner and slings DiBiase out of the ring.  As DiBiase comes back in he hits a kneelift and lands the DDT.  Roberts makes the cover, but DiBiase gets a foot on the ropes.  Roberts is shocked, and picks DiBiase up and sets up a DDT in the middle of the ring.  This leads Orton to come running back out, distracting the ref as Roberts hits a second DDT.  Roberts makes the cover but the ref is not there as he is telling Orton to return to the back.  The crowd then begins to boo as TERRY FUNK jumps the guard rail and hits the ring, hitting Roberts in the head with a branding iron.  He rolls DiBiase on top of Roberts as Orton retreats from the ring and the ref counts the pin.

Winner:  Ted DiBiase

Bischoff questions Race as to what just happened, and Race just says he loves when a plan comes together.  He reminds everyone that DiBiase had said that everything was signed, sealed and delivered.  Orton helps DiBiase up, as Funk enters the ring to congratulate him.  DiBiase then points to Jake, and the three men begin to attack Roberts.  The crowd then comes to life as KERRY and KEVIN VON ERICH hit the ring and a 6 way brawl breaks out.  Referees and officials enter the ring to separate everyone.  DiBiase, Orton and Funk celebrate in the aisle as they are joined by Race, while the Von Erichs’s tend to Jake in the ring.  Bischoff says that he is sure that this is not the end, but is just the beginning

All-Star Wrestling Episode 9

Eric Bischoff and Harley Race welcome us to All-Star Wrestling.  Race says that everything remains right in AWA after Ted DiBiase retained his World Title.  Bischoff asks about whether he helped DiBiase hire Terry Funk to help him hold onto the gold.  Race says that he has known Funk nearly his entire professional career, but “I am employed a s a commentator.  I have no official affiliation with The Million Dollar Man”.  Bischoff says that’s not what it looked like at National Tour.  Race reminds Bischoff not to assume what is happening without having proof.  Bischoff accepts this, but says he is sure that we will find out more about this situation before the night is out.

Samoan SWAT Team beat SD Jones & Outback Jack when Fatu pinned Jones after a splash off the top rope.  After the match Paul E. Dangerously looked into the camera and declared that the Samoan SWAT Team are the most dangerous team in the AWA, and there is no team in the company that can match them for teamwork.

Craig DeGeorge is standing in the back with Paul Ellering and the Powers of Pain.  Ellering says that they proved that the killer Bees have no poison in their sting, and now they are ready to show that the Bulldogs are the most overrated team in the world.  He says that Warlord and Barbarian are the most dominant team in the world, and they will become the AWA World tag Team Champions once the Bulldogs have the guts to put the titles on the line against them.

Tom Zenk beat Tiger Chung Lee after a cross body.  Race mocked Zenk for being a pretty boy, and questioned if he has the toughness to truly make it in the AWA.

Mike Gibson is in the Event Centre.  He reviews the results from the recent National Tour.  He then focusses on DiBiase’s win over Jake the Snake Roberts when Terry Funk interfered, after which the Von Erich’s came out to help Jake.   He says that DiBiase is not impressed with the role that Kerry and Kevin played at the end of the night.  We go to an interview with Ted DiBiase, Cowboy Bob Orton and Terry Funk.  DiBiase says that his investments always pay off, and last week we saw that Jake The Snake Roberts was in over his head.  Terry Funk says that Roberts is the snake, but on his ranch you just cut the head off the snake and they are harmless.  “Well I just decapitated you Jake”.  DiBiase then says that the Von Erich’s have stuck their nose into his business, and now they want Roberts, Kerry and Kevin in the ring to teach them not to mess with his corporate interest.

Great Muta beat Brian Adams following the Moonsault.  Muta attacked Adams before the bell, and quickly set him up for the moonsault.  Sherri swooned over Muta after the match, and directed him to the Queen’s Court Set

Sherri walks onto her set and introduced her guest as someone who may share her surname, but is definitely not related to her.  Rick Martel comes out to a great reaction.  Sherri asks Rick why he is trying to ingratiate himself to her by stealing her name.  Rick says that he would never want to have Sherri as a sister, because his family always prided themselves on class and honour, and Sherri has neither.  Sherri is not happy, and says that Rick wishes he had someone in his family that was half as good looking as she is.  Rick says that if he had a sister that looked like her, he would have sold her to the zoo a long time ago.  Sherri is furious, and slaps Rick in the face.  Rick glares at Sherri and takes a step forward, but Muta sprays Martel in the face with Green Mist, and starts to beat on him.  Sherri asks Rick how it feels to know that he must be the stupidest person in his family, and laughs as she leads Muta away.

Nikita Koloff beat Steve Lombardi following a Russian Sickle.  Race says that it is nice to see Koloff et through the match on his feet after being flattened the other day by Kokina.  Bischoff admits it is surprising Koloff has not suffered broken ribs.  Race says his heart probably just wasn’t in it.

Craig DeGeorge is in the ring, and welcomes Jake “The Snake”, along with Kerry and Kevin Von Erich.  Kerry says he told Orton and DiBiase that Blood was thicker than water, and his brother was there for him last weekend.  Kevin says that he has now come to Australia, not just to back-up his brother, but for the two of them to right some wrongs together.  Jake then says that DiBiase keeps flashing the money around, he keeps hiring more goons, but in the end the Snake always bites back.  He tells DiBiase that when he hits the DDT it is lights out, regardless of how much money you have.  Jake then issues the challenge to DiBiase, Orton and Funk to meet them in a 6-man tag team match at “Outback Mayhem”.

Killer Bees beat Conquistadors when Jim Brunzell pinned Conqistador I after a dropkick.  The match is a reasonably competitive one.  The Conquistadors do get in some offence, but the Bees are clearly the better team.  Brunzell hits a great dropkick to get the pin.  Bischoff says that the Bees fast paced offence makes them dangerous to everyone.  Race points out that the Bees got stung by the Powers of Pain, and there are a few teams ahead of them for a shot at the Titles.  Bischoff notes that the Tag Team Champs will be here next week, as will the Number 1 contenders for the Tag Titles, The Powers of Pain.  Race says that when those 2 teams finally meet it will be a war.
