Grimmas Posted March 11, 2022 Author Posted March 11, 2022 Done with 1985 and the podcast should be up on Monday. There ended up being a lot of great candidates, but this was really the AJW show.
Microstatistics Posted May 11, 2023 Posted May 11, 2023 Yeah, AJW absolutely dominated 1985. Probably Chigusa Nagayo, though, frankly, all the big names (Jaguar Yokota, Devil Masami, Lioness Asuka, Dump Matsumoto, Bull Nakano) have cases. For non-AJW personnel, Jerry Lawler, Butch Reed, Greg Valentine, and Super Tiger had noteworthy years
elliott Posted May 13, 2023 Posted May 13, 2023 Dump Runner Up - Chigusa One of the easiest #1's and #2's ever.
Mr JMML Posted May 13, 2023 Posted May 13, 2023 Chigusa had an amazing 1985. My runner up is Dump, it was close though.
TheBean Posted Wednesday at 11:24 PM Posted Wednesday at 11:24 PM Definitely need to see more 1985 AJW based on everyone's comments, damn! I'll say Ted DiBiase for 1985. His work in Mid South as singles performer and his team with Dr. Death would be enough BUT he was also crushing it in AJPW with Stan the Man - its the cherry on top. I could see Duggan but I think the middle of '85 dipped for me as he was working Skandor Akbar & Kimala, I believe 🤔 The beginning with Ted & end versus Slater & Buzz Sawyer were both phenomenal though.
