tomk
What other Bob Roop do I need to see? So one of the big discoveries from watching all this Mid South has been Bob roop. I have seen him before in multiperson matches in JCP but really hadn’t seen a lot of his stuff before watching the Mid South DVDs and now want to get it all. So I’ve now seen his Mid-south stuff, Georgia match against Lawler, and NJ match against Inoki (with Boris Malenko ringside). What else do I need to see? Mad Dog
I don't have specific matches but if you're wanting to get a feel for his career you'll probably want to check out his Florida days teaming with Kevin Sullivan in the Army of Darkness. The half-bald, half-beast look he sported with Sullivan is worth the look just for that. But yeah, I'd seek out some Florida for sure. Loss
Jesse Barr, Ron Bass, Ric Flair and Barry Windham got fairly decent matches out of a very green Lex Luger in Florida in 1986. I'm pretty sure there are some Roop/Luger matches out there as well that are probably worth watching if for no other reason than showing how to carry someone who can't do anything. KrisZ
IIRC Roop worked totally different as Maya Singh than he did as himself.
