That really sucks - feels personal since I am the one with the pick -  then according to the same sources who say he debuted in 1989, cagematch and wrestlingdata, he should be on the 1992 list.

With that - 1st pick in the draft is on the trade block.

---So until a wrestler wresltes in the U.S. or Canada they are not eligible for our promotions.  So I would say no---

Well by that criteria...

William Regal is disqualified until 1994, Konnan until 1996, Fit Finlay until 1996, Dave Taylor until 1995, and Ultimo Dragon until 1996 but they all are currently being used.

Then let's not forget the 10 match policy, yet somehow Dan Severn has been in the game since like 1986, despite not starting in professional wrestling until 1992.

Then I won't even bring up the fucking Beulah thing again.....

But yeah, Rey Mysterio Jr..... that'd be unrealistic!

I think I can safely say at this point that your input on this topic and anything else regarding this project is no longer either needed nor desired.

I'm sure the guy who has pushed to get all of these people into the game YEARS before they should have been in it, and then traded to get as many draft picks as he could EVERY year so he could get them on his roster because he obviously wants to be writing an ECW Attitude Era diary would... safely say that.

I mean, who can forget Waylon Mercy, a gimmick based on a movie that came out in 1991... making his debut in 1986.....

I actually pushed for literally *NONE* of those wrestlers to come into the game, so you haven't even gotten that right. I simply used them when they did become available, usually after another booker had used them first, and did what I thought was best with them.

You have not been a participating member in this project for some time, but that hasn't stopped you from coming back, again and again, making the same comments, again and again. Never helpful, always in the same tone. Again and again. You have said your piece. We have heard what you have said, and we have made up our own minds gone our own way regardless. So there is no need for you to repeat  it anymore.

So , once again, your comments are neither needed nor desired. There is the door, your place is on the other side of it. And seriously ...

I do believe if you look at every rookie thread in this exact forum, you'll find that it is in fact you who is in there going "Oh so and so debuted this year" and "It appears Insert Name Here started wrestling this year" because obviously you wanted them in the game, so that you could use them and start pushing them years before they should have been on anyone's radar.

Most of the guys on your roster should be working tiny independent shows, setting up rings, and training. Crash Holly, Tommy Dreamer, and all of these guys getting sustained pushes alongside Barry Windham and The Midnight Express in the 1980's is ridiculous and it never should have been allowed.

But somehow, LowBlow wanting to use Rey Mysterio is just a step too far? I think maybe you're just mad that you don't have the first draft pick this year, and wouldn't be able to get him yourself.

I would just like to add that Prowrestlingonly has done a great job of keeping this site going for any of us who enjoy this hobby.  We are thankful to anyone who who take time out of their busy schedules to read what we do.  While each promotion and territory may not be for all, I do thank those that have stayed with us over the long haul.  While I have not always agreed with everyones ideas as being realistic, I am sure our writers feel the same about mine as I tend to be all over the map from week to week and I am sorry for that.  For those that that have been a part of our game know that all things in Dawn of War are open to discussion by our writers.  We have have often changed the rules to fit the game as we see fit.  Also, any decision is open to a vote by the current members.  If there is something that needs to be voted on, please bring it to my attention.  For those who do not wish to be a part of our game for whatever reasons,  feel free to start your own game and make your own rules.  We wish you luck.  For those of you who have joined and left for personal reasons, I completely understand that but I am unsure why you think we care of your opinions when you have "taken your ball and gone home" everytime you didn't get what you wanted.  The current writers often disagree with the decisions of the whole but we have found a way to make it work for over 6 years.  Take a look at the other games on this website and see how many have "games" lasted that long.  Some people must enjoy what we are providing.  One last thing as I will not respond again... I am unsure of anyone's life but you must have an awful lot of time on your hands to read something that bothers you so much.  I will admit that we have made mistakes but to actually keep track of who drafted who seems time consuming.  Plenty of time to start a new game in fact.  I am sure you will respnd again, but I will not.  Enjoy Dawn of War or don't... it is your time.

You are correct, I will respond again, one last time. Just to say that I'm proud of you Kevin.

Proud that after all these years, you finally had the balls to confront someone in public instead of just talking shit about them via PM because you are so deathly afraid that if you disagree with anyone they'll quit and your precious game will fall apart.

Maybe next you'll tell Rain and LowBlow what you really think of their shows! I only wish I'd saved those messages so I could screenshot and show them myself.

Yes, this was my thinking. Rey didn't wrestle in the US regularly until mid-93, so by my calculations, he would not be eligible until then.

Rey's debut has always been hard to pin down for wrestling websites because he started really young. Although it seems like he's been around forever, he wasn't on the US radar until 1993, when AAA expanded its operations here.

If I had been around longer, I would have certainly pushed for more consistency. That's probably for the best going forward

I would also remind everyone that you are allowed 4 three month foreign exemptions per year so Rey would be allowed into anyone's territory for 3 months per year starting in 1992 when he meets the 10 match requirement.  This goes for 1000's of others also.

Any thoughts on Vampiro? He has been mentioned but isn't on the final list. Not much on Cagematch, but Wikipedia has him starting in Canadian indies in 1984 before starting in Mexico in 1991. in 1991, he is a 24 year old Canadian wrestling with experience. Thoughts?

Wrestliingdata also lists his debut as 1984 but doesn't list any matches until 1991.  If we have some prove of him wrestling in Canada before 1991, I would expect, by our rules that he would be good to go.

I think Vampiro screwed around as a jobber/trainee in Montreal for a while before heading down to Mexico to start his actual career. IWD and Cagematch don't really show him doing much before that. He didn't wrestle regularly in the US until the late 1990s.

All good, so Vampiro would be eligible in 98? Would he be available in 91 for a short term International stay? (Foreign Exemption) Again, just asking, don't have any interest in him right now.

He would probably be eligible for a foreign exemption, I think

Vampiro would be eligible for a foreign exemption and if there is prove of him wrestling as early as 1984 in Canada we would have 3 choices ...

1.  Rain can have him if nobody objects

2.  Have a supplemental draft if others wish to be involved.

3.  Place him in free agency

If there is no evidence of him in Canada prior to now, he should enter in 1991 in Mexico where we could use a foreign exemption to use him

Just need to ne sure on the Canada thing before any decision is made.  I will not be using him under any of the above situations so it doesn't matter to me.

If anyone would like a vote, lets take it to private.  If not, I am fine with leaving him going to Mexico in 1991.
