We’re in Canada and Jericho matches have been all over the AEW YouTube in recent days so I’d maybe prepare for that. More importantly, we have Eddie Kingston! Including the Tailgate Brawl, you’re looking at one hell of a long show

I was super excited for this show because the card looks good. I have HBO Max & I knew that the show started early, so I went to the app to see what time the show starts & see that it's $40 on top of the HBO Max subscription? Completely deflated me. Maybe it has always been like that, maybe I was spoiled by WWE Network, but I'm not paying for a streaming service & then paying a premium on top of that to watch the damn show. That's ridiculous. 

I might still watch it online on the high seas but that definitely hurt my excitement. I was planning on trying to get my wife to watch it with me but that's definitely a no-go now. 

Should still be a great show.

I liked that post-match angle in theory but not sure it worked for me in practice. Felt a bit too WWE-esque when this entire year has been so much better when AEW has moved away from it

Kingston being back and teaming with HOOK is awesome though. Get Homicide in as their manager while we’re at it. It also means we’re probably getting Eddie vs Joe at some point

I felt that FTR vs Copeland & Christian match was kind of underwhelming and didn’t really deliver the way I was hoping it would. I felt it was just starting to build some steam when the whole Stokely/Beth stuff happened and kind of wrecked the flow of the match. It was also shorter than I was expecting. I assume based on what happened afterwards that there is going to be a continuation, but I didn’t much enjoy that.

So the rumor mill is stating New Japan is planning on strapping up Takeshita soon. and that's why AEW is speeding up the potential match with Okada now before it becomes more of a headache politically.

Also, I’ve had an inkling that the Mark Briscoe stuff is leading up to him finally having a deep run in the CC. The first one they made an effort to say he was finding his footing as a solo wrestler, he did better again in the second and now he’s finally won some big matches and has just beaten a bona-fide main eventer. I’m not sure he’ll win but I’d be willing to bet he’s in the Semis at World’s End
