ErictheDragon Posted August 16 Posted August 16 Gonna be honest, this was a little tough to read but it's good to know that WPW has it's loop planned.

LastStopTour Posted August 16 Author Posted August 16 Okay, a different font, also typewriter font which is hopefully a little better.

ErictheDragon Posted August 20 Posted August 20 I;m only just now realizing that the previous post had results on it. I thought you were just advertising talent lol. In the most territory move of all, it seems the promoters kids are being pushed right to the top.
LastStopTour Posted August 20 Author Posted August 20 Looking at the roster, the Sterling Brothers are probably the most talented of the lot for 1991. Jason had a decent run in Texas in the late 80s and his brother who was pretty much retired by this point was still making appearances, wrestling with his brother throughout the 90s and with his father (the Missing Link) who still taking bookings. Jason had returned home to Canada and opened a school for a short period of time.

Also, in tag team action, The Sterling Brothers will be here next week! MATCH 2: Robbie Royce versus Don E. Dundee w/his Entourage. Referee: Dave Gobeil. Stanton talks about the rookie Royce being a very good wrestler despite his young age and time in the business. The ref has trouble with Jamie Dundee who refuses to leave the ring apron for the floor until he is threatened to be sent to the back along with the rest of the entourage. Royce does well against the Dundee but runs into a numbers game as the other three Dundee’s get involved time and again. Thanks to the fans pointing it out loudly, Dave Gobeil catches the Dundees in the act and disqualifies them, giving the win to the rookie Robbie Royce by disqualification. With the match over, the rest of the Dundees hit the ring and attack Royce from behind. Freddie Joe blasts Royce from behind with the large Book of Dundee. Armed with his short club, he goes to town on the Dundees with Jamie Dundee bolting from the ring. The Dundee mouthpiece yanks his kin from the ring and makes a beeline for the back with the fans booing them as Royce and Broda celebrate inside the ring ...
ErictheDragon Posted August 24 Posted August 24 Gotta say, Jamie Dundee would not have been my pick for pick for a cult leader gimmick but from what i've seen dude could definitely get heat. I'll be perfectly honest, I used Broda for the first episode of Fury Hour figuring that a caveman gimmick was the kind of thing Herb would be into. Would never have guessed he had a whole part of Canada where he's the man.
kevinmcfl Posted Monday at 03:50 PM Posted Monday at 03:50 PM Really creative start to Winnipeg Wrestling. I agree with Eric that I had no idea how big Caveman was. Loved the song clip. Nice touch! The poor Pink Panthers have gotten off to a rough start. The Dundees are my new favorite stable.... The Book of Dundee was a great touch.
LastStopTour Posted Monday at 10:47 PM Author Posted Monday at 10:47 PM He was an interesting character. https://slamwrestling.net/legend/caveman-broda/
kevinmcfl Posted Friday at 08:03 PM Posted Friday at 08:03 PM Very interesting article. Two things jumped out at me. First, how rare it was for someone 160 pounds to make such a big name for himself; especially as a heel wrestler. Other people of that size might make it as a manager but very few in the ring. Next, I never new how big the wrestling scene was in Winnipeg. I had heard of the AWA going there and also thought that Stu ran some shows in Manitoba but it looks like there were multiple promotions in Winnipeg. Thanks for the article. I enjoy wrestling history.
spaldoni Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago WPW has arrived! I can already tell the Dundee Family will get some great heat here. How can you go wrong with tie dyed shirts and the book of Dundee Maybe Mr. Wrestling 37 can call up Mr. Wrestling 2 for some guidance The Dundee's are all over the main event and then get upstaged by Caveman Broda. What a way to end the first episode
