Love this old school southern feud Friendship aside, Austin and Rich want to win the tournament After that squash, I wouldn't mind seeing Bundy and Gordy go at it The promos were on fire tonight. Dutch continues to crack me up. The tension keeps building between the Freebirds. Dory and Murdoch want another fight. Wright is always a highlight. The wrestlers did a great job putting over the tournament. You've really nailed this territory

Done with the Clash and right into the Omni. Never a dull moment in WCW. After an incredible run in PCW, the Patriot comes into WCW with some fire Taker's rising in the rankings. If he gets through Steamboat, I imagine we're going to get that dream match with Sting Luger sure picked himself some heavy back up with the Road Warriors. The bad guy Scott Hall is back! Damn, those are some big time matches signed for the Omni.

I'm really enjoying this year's tournament of lions. It seems there's an amped up intensity. I like the final four because all these guys have a great story going. Really well done. Severn vs. Taz is so intriguing. AWA TV @ The Hammond Center 9-18-91 Larry Nelson: Hello everybody and welcome to AWA Major League Wrestling. Tonight, the Mavericks take on the Tribal Nation and the winners will face the Iceman and the Superstar at the Happening in the finals for the AWA National tag team titles. We've got a huge program tonight. AWA World champ Kokina along with Adnan Al-Kassie... Somebody frantically runs up to Larry Nelson and says something Nelson: Fans, something is going down in the parking lot and we have a cameraman out there right now! We cut to the parking lot. The Big Bossman and Col. Debeers are brawling. Bossman hurls Debeers on a car hood. Debeers rolls over and off. Bossman goes around after Debeers but Debeers nails Bossman with a tire iron! Debeers shakes the cobwebs and starts beating on Bossman with the tire iron. Debeers is rushed by security. Back to Larry Nelson Nelson: My goodness! The hatred between those two is at an all time high. I just hope this can get settled in the Bootcamp match at the Happening. (deep breath) Ok, let's just get to the ring. Rampage and Scott 'Flash' Norton w/Ted Arcidi vs. 3 Local Talents This trio gets their shot at the AWA 6-Man titles at the Happening and tonight they're clearly sending a message to Demolition. Rampage put their opponent down with double boots to the face. Norton comes in and finishes things off with a powerslam! They continue the beat down and hurl all of their opponents out of the ring. Arcidi yells into the camera "Demolition! You're dead meat!" Commercial Break 'The Raging Bull' Manny Fernandez vs. Todd Rooney Manny's hits the ring in his jeans and red bandana. He tosses the bandana and gets down to business. Manny swings Rooney to the ropes and hits the flying burrito for the win. It's announced that Manny will be in the Happening's battle royal. Commercial Break We see Chicky Starr in front of an AWA banner. His head is bandaged up from that beating Colon gave him in Puerto Rico. Starr: Colon! This is only the beginning. You and me will meet again at the Happening and this time you will not be walking out. I personally guarantee that! The Missouri Tiger vs. JT Southern Both men hold a countout victory over the other and we hope things get settled tonight. The bell rings and the fight is on. These guys take turns pounding away at each other. The fight gets intense and both men go through the ropes and end up fighting all the way up the aisle resulting in a double countout. Well, nothing resolved but both men will get another crack at each other in the Happening Battle Royal. Commercial Break 'Unpredictable' Dick Slater vs. Neil Jordan Slater just beats his opponent down and finishes things off with a Russian Leg Sweep. Nelson: Dick Slater, I know you have your sights set... A man wearing a suit and sunglasses walks out and hands Slater an envelope. The man leaves. Slater opens the envelope and looks inside. Slater nods and just walks away leaving a puzzled Larry Nelson. Commercial Break The Barbarian vs. Clinton Stitch Barbarian nearly decapitates his opponent with a clothesline from the top rope to get the win. Wait a minute! The fans go nuts as the Ultimate Warrior hits the ring! Barbarian turns around as Warrior clotheslines him down. Warrior runs in place. Barbarian staggers up as Warrior swings off the ropes and drops Barbarian with a flying shoulder block! Barbarian rolls out of the ring as Warrior shakes the ropes. The place is electric! Commercial Break The Hangman w/Nell vs. Gary Brimson Hangman destroys poor Brimson and easily wins the match with the Hangman's neckbreaker. Nell walks over to Larry Nelson. Nell: Leo Burke, I want you to pay close attention here. Nell gives Hangman the signal. Hangman pulls Brimson up and puts him back down with the Heart Punch! Moments later, Brimson is stretchered out. Nell: Leo Burke, it's real simple. It's time the Hangman puts you out to pasture. You're a poor soul who doesn't know when to peacefully walk away. Fear not because the Hangman will retire you quickly. (looks at Nelson) You've been here a long time too. Perhaps your time has come as well. Hangman puts his noose around Nelson's neck. Nelson freaks out and runs away. Commercial Break Bobby Blaze vs. Ray Glader Blaze looks great and wins the match with his Northern Lights Suplex. Blaze is another added to the Happening's Battle Royal. Commercial Break AWA National Tag Team Title Tournament Semi Final Match The Mavericks vs. The Tribal Nation There's a lot at stake here and both teams are on their A game. Mavericks control a segment. Young suplexes Chris as Storm follows with a big elbow drop 1..2..Kick Out. Mavericks remain in control until Mark nails Storm with a knee to the back from the apron. Tribal Nation control the next segment with a lot of heel tactics. Chris chokes Storm on the bottom rope as Mark leapfrogs over Chris and hits a body guillotine on Storm. Storm weathers the storm and eventually makes the tag to Young. Young cleans house and takes control. Young works over Mark and hits a dropkick from the middle ropes. Chris runs in as does Storm. We get a wild brawl. Chris is tossed out of the ring. Chris grabs his tomahawk. Los Boricuas run out and nail Chris from behind. The tomahawk goes flying. Inside the ring, Mark is all by himself. Storm nails Mark with a spere and Young follows with a DDT 1..2..3!!! Big POP! Nelson: Ok, wow! It's now set for the Happening. The Mavericks will face the Iceman and the Superstar for the AWA National tag team titles. Commercial Break Nelson: Fans, listen to this main event for next week's program. AWA International champ Konnan will team with the AWA world tag champs El Canek and Mil Mascaras to take on Art Barr and the Guerreros. That should be an outstanding match up. Ok, joining me now is Adnan Al-Kassie and the AWA world champ Kokina. Adnan looks pissed and Kokina looks like he's ready to destroy anything in his path. Nelson backs up as Adnan snatches the mic. Kokina gives a loud roar and that makes Nelson turn around and walk away. Adnan: Bad News Brown! You came out and attacked Kokina from behind last week. You think you have the upper hand but that is very far from the truth. If that is all you have in your arsenal then you are in serious trouble! At the Happening, Kokina isn't just going to beat you. Kokina is going to rip you apart and break every bone in your body. I know you want to regain this AWA world title so badly but the only thing you should be worried about is survival. That sounds like very bad news to me. Kokina looks right into the camera, taps on his title and lets out a monstrous roar.

It's so cool seeing Papa Shango arrive. IRL, I think they could have done so much more with this gimmick. I'm looking forward to see what you do with him. Bruno's announcement makes this historic match a must see. Excited to see who will become the first champion. Madril is working overtime to get some dirt on the Desperados. I never thought I would ever see a Doink/Desperados crossover LOL another great thing about the UWF, you just never know what's going to happen Things are heating way up with Ross/Patriots and the Russians. A feud like this always sells The Power Twins and Bruise Brothers feud has been built up so well. Add in Ellering and this is money. Classic TV move with the main event running out of time. It's a great tease leaving the fans wanting more. Props to you on making the absolute most of the free agents.

Budro got a bigger fight than expected but ends up with the W Poor Embry. There's just no stopping Bundy right now Maybe I'm wrong because Ahmed going toe to toe with Bundy helps Austin FINALLY take care of Dutch Hennig vs. Armstrong in 91 rocks! Hennig pulls it out but Brad looked pretty damn good Rich always was a great bleeder and tonight was no exception as IRS carved him up bad. Loved the Garvin/Fuller match and the creative story behind it. After 12 long years Garvin gets his moment TNT retain but the story was the aftermath. Sherri comes through and Hot Stuff and the Doctor have arrived. These two were made for each other. Hayes is really on thin ice with Gordy. It's only a matter of time before Gordy runs out of patience. Great job with the match write ups. I liked the format

Hase gives Pillman a scare but Pillman ekes it out. I always liked that finish. Keeps both guys strong I've been waiting for it and now it's official. Teddy and the Bad Man baby! Damn, Sid looks like a beast tonight. At least Bulldog didn't get his shoulders pinned. Horrible night for the Steiners! Lose the titles and get a Nasty beatdown. After Ventura's ruling, I guess it isn't all bad news. This was a big win for Taker. He's now moving up a level in competition. I think Simmons can rebound from this. The babyfaces best the Dangerous Alliance. Seems the Alliance is a bit off their game lately. Even in defeat, Cactus did exactly what he was supposed to do. Jeez, now Luger has Abby to deal with. IRL, I enjoyed the Abby/Jack love hate alliance. This should be fun. Sting survives Tenryu to retain but both men came out looking strong.

Man, I think PCO and Sabu are about to get hard core Wright remains focused and it's paying off Looks like the Citadel have come to an agreement. AWA TV @ The Hammond Center 9-11-91 We open with footage of the Carlos Colon vs. Chicky Starr match from Puerto Rico. Chicky's a bloody mess as Colon continues to stomp down on him. Colon starts choking Starr. The Ref tries to break him off several times but Colon just keeps choking. Finally, the Ref calls for the bell and DQs Colon. The bell rings but Colon keeps choking Starr. Security swarms the ring. Larry Nelson: Hello everybody and welcome to AWA Major League Wrestling. Wow, you just saw what went down in Puerto Rico last week and one thing's obviously clear, Carlos Colon didn't care about winning the match, he just wanted to get his revenge on one Chicky Starr. Tonight, you'll see 2 more first round matches in the National tag team tournament as the Mavericks take on the Hit Sensations and the RPMs clash with the Iceman and Superstar. Also, the Cobra and Jimmy Del Ray will wrestle for a TV title shot at the Happening. AWA 6-Man champs, Demolition will be in action and the AWA world champ, Kokina will be here. Ok, let's get to the action. Leo Burke vs. Trent Watkins Burke's on his game tonight as he knocks Watkins silly with a running forearm blast and finishes things off with the sleeper. Nelson: Leo, it appears Nell and the Hangman have issued a threat to you. I know you heard their ominous words last week because you signed to face the Hangman at the Happening. Burke: Well, it seems like Nell and the Hangman think it's time to put me out to pasture well think again. I've been around this business a long time and I even thought my best years were behind me but this year was a turning point for me and I've never felt better. I'm going out on my terms which means Nell's ominous threats are nothing but empty ones. Commercial Break AWA National Tag Team Title First Round Tournament Match The Mavericks vs. The Hit Sensations w/Malia The first few minutes is evenly matched. The Mavericks have really come into to their own lately and tonight they show off impressive teamwork. The recently arrived Hit Sensations show off some real chemistry and have some shining segments. A few minutes later, the Sensations are in control. Scotty tags in Vic. Scotty holds Young in a full nelson as Vic comes off the top rope with a double ax handle. The Sensations double team Young. Storm has enough and charges in. As the Ref guides him back, the Sensations swing Young to the ropes and hit a flap jack. The Ref runs over 1..2..Young gets his foot on the rope. After taking more pounding, Young's finally able to make the hot tag to Storm. Storm cleans house and takes command. Storm back drops Scotty. Vic runs in and gets back dropped. Storm stays in control until Vic runs in and clips him from behind. Young's all over Vic. Malia gets on the apron. The Ref's distracted with Young and Vic. Scotty swings Storm towards Malia and she's ready to hit him but Storm reverses it. Scotty stops as Malia freezes her punch. Young dropkicks Vic into Scotty and Malia. Scotty staggers back as Storm nails him with a spere 1..2..3! Big Pop! The Mavericks will face the Tribal Nation in the semi finals. Commercial Break Footage from WrestleRock is shown when Col Debeers arrived and severely injured the Big Bossman. That segues into last week's show when the Big Bossman returned and handcuffed Debeers and proceeded to give him some payback. Nelson: Fans, I've been informed that at the Happening, the Big Bossman will face Col. Debeers in a bootcamp match. Oh boy! Ok, speaking of the Happening, last week it was announced there will be a battle royal and the winner will receive 100,000 dollars and a brand new Cadillac. On that note, here with me now is Jackie. Jackie, I know you have something to say regarding this. Jackie: That's right! First off, I want to thank Austin Idol for giving me this opportunity. I met with the man Austin referred me to and it went better than ever. I'm pleased to say he has agreed to my services as a manager. My man will make his debut in the Happening Battle Royal and trust me, he's going to win it and we're going to drive off in that Cadillac. And that's only the beginning baby! Commercial Break 'Maniac' Matt Borne vs. Neil Jordan Borne's aggressive tonight and wins the match with the Northern Exposure. Borne cuts a promo and says Jackie's getting way to ahead of herself because he's going to be in the battle royal and plans on winning it! Commercial Break AWA National Tag Team Title Tournament First Round Match The Rock n Roll RPMs vs. The Iceman and The Superstar w/Austin Idol The RPMs still seem to be a little banged up from that attack by Dundee and Parsons at Title Night. They're a bit off their game but still bring the fight. They stay in control with quick tags and aggressiveness until Idol trips Lane and Lane staggers into a clothesline by Parsons. This pisses Davis off and he chases Idol outside the ring. Parsons and Dundee beat down Lane in the ring. Davis sees this and slides back in. He's going off but the Ref guides him back. Dundee and Parsons continue to work over Lane. Dundee hurls Lane out of the ring. Dundee distracts the Ref. Idol slams Lane on the concrete. Once again, Davis runs over and chases Idol. Inside the ring, Parsons tags in Dundee. Dundee goes to the top rope. Parsons swings Lane to the ropes and nails him with the Hip Attack as Dundee follows with the Bombs Away 1..2..3! BOOOOOOO! On the outside, Davis is hitting Idol. Dundee and Parsons run out and attack Davis. They double slam him on the concrete and celebrate their win. Jackie even comes back out to congratulate them. Due to last week's draw between the British Bombers/Jumbo Tsuruta and Shinya Hashimoto, Dundee and Parsons get a bye into the finals. Commercial Break Nelson: Ok, the winners of the Mavericks/Tribal Nation match will face Bill Dundee and Iceman Parsons in the finals. It's just a shame that Austin idol can't keep from interfering. (shakes his head) Alright, joining me now is the AWA International Champ, Konnan. Konnan comes out dressed in a silk shirt, sunglasses, bucket hat and the title on his shoulder. Nelson: Konnan, you'll be defending that International title against Art Barr at the Happening. Boos as the Vin Man strolls out in his Hawaiian shirt and fedora. Nelson: Come on Vinnie, we don't want any trouble. Vin: Whoa Larbo, relax, I'm only here to talk with the soon to be ex champ. (looks Konnan up and down) You know, you come out here trying to be soooooooo cool in your cooooool shirts and your cooooool sunglasses. Pal, you don't know what cool is. Look at me, I'm cool. The Love Machine Art Barr personifies cool. He's out training because he knows that when he wins the International title, he's the one who's going to make it cool. Konnan, you're nothing but a goof. Vin flips Konnan's hat and starts to walk away. Konnan calmly sets down his title and takes off his sunglasses. Konnan grabs Vinnie and hurls him into the ring. The fans are on their feet cheering as Konnan hoists Vinnie on his shoulders and drops him with the Konnan Crash. Konnan smiles and locks Vinie in the Tequila Sunrise! Vinnie's screaming. Konnan releases and gives Vinnie a pat on the head. Konnan picks up Vinnie's fedora and shoves it down Vinnie's head. The camera picks up Larry Nelson laughing. Commercial Break AWA 6-Man Champs Demolition vs. Samson Smith, Todd Rooney and Ray Glader This is just a beating and Demolition finish things off with the Decapitator. Nelson: Ok, at the happening, you three will be defending your titles against Rampage and Scott Norton. That's a pretty scary trio. Crush: Oh yea, they can beat up some chumps but they've never experienced anything like Demolition! Smash: We don't get scared and we don't get intimidated! We are the intimidators! Ax: We're ready to beat people up and at the Happening, that's exactly what were going to do to those three punching bags! Commercial Break Winner gets a TV Title shot at The Happening The Cobra vs. 'Gigolo' Jimmy Del Ray TV champ Al Perez is on commentary. The first few minutes is fast paced back and forth action with both guys bringing some high octane offense. Perez doesn't seem impressed with any of this. Cobra is in control and puts Del Ray down with a high dropkick and follows with a snap suplex then swings off the ropes with a senton 1..2..Kick Out. Later, Del Ray takes control and puts Cobra down with a flying back elbow smash. Del Ray follows with a vertical suplex and a knee drop from the middle ropes 1..2..Kick Out. Perez keeps talking about himself. After more high flying action, Del Ray catches Cobra and drops him with a stun gun on the top rope. Del Ray slams Cobra and goes to the top rope. Del Ray leaps off with a moonsault but Cobra moves at the last second. Both men slowly stagger up. Cobra grabs Del Ray and hits a bridging belly to back suplex 1..2..3! After a minute Del Ray gets up and offers his hand to Cobra. Cobra shakes it and Del Ray exits. Perez yawns at this then looks up at Cobra and holds his TV title high. Commercial Break Nelson: Fans, joining me now, along with Adnan Al-Kassie is the AWA world champion, Kokina. Adnan leads Kokina out. Kokina has a snarl on his face as the title lays on his shoulder. Hold on! From behind, Bad News Brown pushes Adnan out of the way and starts unloading on Kokina! Brown tags Kokina with several punches. Adnan gets back up but Brown punches him back down. Brown continues to unload on Kokina. Officials run out as the show ends.

Thanks to Luna and the goblet, VW gets his win back Beverly Brothers taking a vacation after one match cracked me up. Textbook heel move Hmmmmm, I'm suspicious of that clown Oh man, UWF better reenforce that ring when the Bruise Brothers and Power Twins collide Dream Machine is back babay!! I've really missed him Akbar's not fooling around. Super D has arrived! Papa Shango! Man, the UWF is getting cooler every week Valiant's having the time of his life

Nelson's a suplex machine A rolling double wristlock sounds really painful. Once Anjo got in groove it was only a matter of time. He worked a great match Miyato finally gets that heel hook in to seal the win Once Fujiwara gets that armbar on there's no escape. Congrats to Funaki. He earned that trophy by defeating a hot Shamrock Damn! That finishing sequence by Vader was absolutely devastating! Tamura and Yamazaki pull it off and win the tag titles. They worked hard to get to this point and deserved this. Wow, Takada defeats Maeda in thrilling fashion. It'll be interesting to see how Maeda rebounds from this. I'm excited to watch Takada challenge Vader. Those first round brackets are insane. Whoever wins the tournament will definitely have to fight harder than ever.

Man, the promos were top notch tonight. Great job capturing all the different personalities. Hennig's win over territory favorite Smothers was damn impressive. We'll see if he can do the same to Armstrong Wright's men are ready to take all the gold Loved the masked angle with Fuller and Golden. This puts even more heat on Fuller's title bout with Garvin Dutch thought he had a way out with Horner but it backfires in a big way because he's got Austin now. Bundy's in beast mode right now Armstrong and Rich will always give these fans something to cheer about Not sure Gordy's happy about Hayes being here. He costs him the match and also made enemies with Funk and Murdoch. The commentators are such a huge part of the show and really hyped up the upcoming events well.

I agree with AD. I'm thinking we're eventually going to get the epic dream match between Sting and Taker. This is what fantasy booking is all about If all goes well at the Clash, York International just might take the Dangerous Alliances spot as top faction I can't imagine where the Luger/Cactus match is going to go Sid has Sting's title on the mind but Bulldog's being built pretty strong right now. Be careful Sid With all that's going on, WCW better get ready for the man they call Vader. He's time is coming and soon.

I always liked the Tournament of Lions because it's such a great way to showcase the younger stars Ultimo kicks it off with the win Owen gets props for that great sell job. He respects the business but not the League of Gentlemen After that match maybe Condrey should think twice about wanting more of Slaughter Modest advances over an old rival Hamrick gets the win but give it up for Stevie, I think he finally got over with Tina Cornette's investing some quality time with Guido It seems like Young's out to prove he's on par with his partner Vancouver Could it be that Wright's finally getting focused I think the New Foundation got more than expected from the Headbangers Vito impresses but Windham gets the W Eddie wants that TV title bad Wow, I think Bigelow just sealed the deal for a title shot Oh man, I know Martel's beyond pissed now Kelowna Thrillseekers keep on rolling Malenko stays in contention Always love a fun 8 man tag It's going to be a lot of fun watching Scotty and Stevie's title run. You'll see two first round matches. Los Boricuas take on the Tribal Nation. Also, the British Bombers will face Jumbo Tsuruta and Shinya Hashimoto. In other action, JT Southern and The Missouri Tiger will square off in a rematch. Col Debeers, Norman, Art Barr and the Ultimate Warrior will all be here as well as the AWA world champion, Kokina. Alright, let's get to the action. 'The Love Machine' Art Barr w/The Vin Man vs. Harold Bannister Vinnie celebrates as Barr hits the frog splash for the win. Nelson: Vinnie, I know you've heard the big news. Your man, Art Barr will get a shot at the International title at The Happening on October 10th. Vin: Oh Larbo, the Vin Man and Love Machine are on cloud nine. You know we're so hot that we're bringing a heat wave to Alaska and it's going to be Alaska's first summer blast when Art Barr takes the International title. Barr: Everybody knows my time has come. Commercial Break AWA National Title First Round Match Los Boricuas vs. The Tribal Nation These two teams have been feuding recently and Commissioner Magnum TA decided to pair them up in the tournament. The match starts off with some hard hitting seesaw action. Tribal Nation control a segment and almost get the win with a stereo tomahawk chop from opposite turnbuckles. Boricuas come back later and hit a double suplex/double elbow drop but Chris saves his brother with a run in to break it. The match continues to go back and forth until a pier six brawl breaks out. Once again Mark grabs a tomahawk and gets back in the ring. He's about to hit Castillo but Miguel dropkicks Chris into Mark. Castillo picks up the tomahawk and whacks Mark with it just as the Ref turns around. The Ref sees it and signals for the bell. Boricuas are pissed and takeout their frustrations on the Tribal Nation. The Tribal Nation are laid out but advance on the disqualification. Commercial Break We see Gama Singh (ribs taped up) standing outside in front of some trees. Gama: When I come out here, I like to take time to seriously think about things. I've come out here a lot recently. I lost the TV title by being hit with a crutch right here in the ribs by a man I thought was a friend. I will not forget this Lou Perez and when the time is right, I'll be coming to get that TV title back from you Al Perez. However, this situation with Makhan needs my undivided attention. Makhan, we have an issue that must be dealt with, which is why you and I will meet at the Happening. I know that wasn't the real you when you gave me that beating. At the Happening, I will knock Norman out of your system and bring Makhan back. Norman the Lunatic w/Dr. X vs. Todd Rooney Norman gets more and more aggressive as the fans chant 'Lunatic' . Dr. X gives the signal and Norman puts Rooney down with the Monster Mash! Nelson: We all just heard the words from Gama Singh and the match is signed for the Happening. X: Gama is walking on very thin ice. If he dares to call Norman by any other name at the Happening, he will pay dearly. The fans continue to chant Lunatic. Norman's starting to get antsy and covers his ears. Dr. X stays calm X: (Looks at Norman and takes his hands off his ears) What is your name? Norman: My name is Norman. My name is Norman. (Looks at the fans) My name is Norman! Norman walks up to Nelson Norman: My name is Norman!!! Nelson drops the mic and runs out of there. X: Very good Norman...very good indeed Commercial Break Col. Debeers vs. Trent Watkins Debeers beats down his opponent and hits the front face piledriver for the easy win. Debeers puts his foot on Watkin's chest and twirls his mustache. The fans go nuts as the Big Bossman hits the ring and clotheslines Debeers down from behind! Bossman drags Debeers to the ropes, pulls out handcuffs and cuffs Debeers to the rope. Bossman twirls his nightstick and starts beating down on Debeers! Security and officials rush the ring. Bossman backs off and twirls his nightstick to the cheering fans. The Big Bossman is back!! Commercial Break The Guerreros vs. Bob Bowden and Carl Kellerman After a tour in Mexico, the Guerreros are back. They look good and win the match with a double hot shot. Nelson: At the Happening, you two will get your promised world tag team title shot against El Canek and Mil Mascaras. Hector: Yea it's a promised shot and a well earned one! We've beaten every team here fair and square, so of course we get a title shot. Chavo: It's the right thing to do. Those two masked buffoons no nothing about tag team wrestling but we wrote the book on it. Those titles are ours! Commercial Break The Missouri Tiger vs. JT Southern Last time, Tiger got to excited and basically got himself counted out. The opening minutes is all Tiger as he keeps it in the ring and pinballs JT all over the place with power moves. JT somehow survives it and rolls out of the ring. Tiger goes to the outside and quickly hurls JT back in the ring. As Tiger enters, JT blasts him with a knee lift. JT controls the next segment with choking, kicks and stomps. JT hits a swinging backbreaker off the ropes but Tiger kicks out at 2. JT goes for a piledriver but Tiger fights it and back drops JT over the top rope. Tiger regroups and goes to the apron. JT staggers up as Tiger lunges off the apron and nails JT with a flying football tackle. Tiger rolls back into the ring and lets the Ref count to 10. I guess this was Tiger's way of getting some poetic payback. Commercial Break Nelson: Fans, I've just been informed that at the Happening, Demolition will defend the AWA 6-Man titles against Scott Norton and Rampage. Wow, that should be a hard hitting affair. Also announced, there will be a special 100,000 dollar battle royal with the winner also getting a brand new Cadillac. Ok (rolls his eyes) joining me now is Greg Gagne along with his Ace, Frank Andersson. Gagne: I told you so! Didn't I nerd! My ace backed up everything I said and now nothing can stop us and I mean nothing! Just wait and watch nerd. My ace will be adding titles to his already impressive collection of accolades in no time! I've already entered his name into the Happening Battle Royal and when he wins it that will be just a stepping stone to pure greatness. Ok, we're done here. Ace throws his towel onto Nelson's head as he walks by. Commercial Break AWA National Title First Round Match The British Bombers vs. Jumbo Tsuruta and Shinya Hashimoto The last time these two teams met, Jumbo and Shinya were obviously not on the same page and the Bombers walked away with a big win. Since then, Jumbo and Shinya seem to be back on track. Both teams bring their A games, and we get a solid textbook tag match. Bombers are in sync as Smith brings the power and hits some devastating moves while Tony works in his technical skills with some impressive sentons. On the flip side, Shinya breaks out his power arsenal with some hard slams and suplexes while Jumbo hits some lethal knee drops and clotheslines. The action is back and forth and the pace is furious but there's just not enough time as the bell rings, signaling a time limit draw. Both teams are disappointed. The Bombers exit. Shinya's pissed. Jumbo tries to calm him down but Shinya pushes him away. After a couple minutes, Shinya calms down and leaves with Jumbo. Both teams are eliminated from the tournament. Commercial Break The Ultimate Warrior vs. Neil Jordan The fans are on their feet as Warrior sprints into the ring and shakes the ropes. The match is all Warrior. He hits the Gorilla Press slam and follows with the splash for the win. Hold on! The Barbarian runs out and climbs to the top rope. Warrior's celebrating and turns around as Barbarian leaps off and just about decapitates Warrior with a clothesline! Barbarian sticks his boot on Warrior's chest and raises his arm. Commercial Break Nelson: Wow, I was just going to announce it but looks like the Barbarian already found out. He will be facing the Ultimate Warrior at the Happening. (deep breath) Also, next week, the Cobra will face Jimmy Del Ray and the winner will get a TV title shot at the Happening. We'll also see the final first round match ups in the National tag tournament. The Mavericks will take on the Hit Sensations and The RPMs will face the Iceman and the Superstar. Ok, at the Happening, former AWA world champion, Bad News Brown will get a world title shot against this man, the AWA world champion, Kokina, along with Adnan Al-Kassie. Boos as Adnan leads Kokina out. Kokina gives Nelson a dirty look then folds his arms and stands there with the world title on his shoulder. Adnan: Bad News Brown regardless of what you say you are the one who will experience bad news. So, you won a gauntlet match, big deal! None of those wrestlers can compare to my Kokina! Kokina has destroyed everything and everyone in his path since coming to the AWA! He has knocked down and obliterated every challenger since winning the world title! Bad News Brown! You will fall, just like the rest! Kokina lets out a big roar and hits his world title.

I was always a fan of Barry, especially the self- pat on the back. Too bad he came up short. However, Boogie Woogie Brown seems right at home here. Colossal Kongs break out the Monster Mash. That'll always get a pop out of me. I can only imagine who Akbar is bringing in next week. I never thought I would see this day but Alberto Attorney at Law finally wins a case. Not only that but he ends up getting the win. Great night for Madril. The phone book had me cracking up. Ross brings in the calvary and now we have a full on feud going on.

WPW has arrived! I can already tell the Dundee Family will get some great heat here. How can you go wrong with tie dyed shirts and the book of Dundee Maybe Mr. Wrestling 37 can call up Mr. Wrestling 2 for some guidance The Dundee's are all over the main event and then get upstaged by Caveman Broda. What a way to end the first episode

York International is ready to rule WCW! It's so awesome seeing Steamboat and Muta teaming up Lex vs. Cactus is going to be wild Look at Teddy Long putting the striped shirt back on for the Clash Pillman continues to rock as TV champ but I have to say, bringing the Kwang gimmick in got a pop from me Sting and Tenryu are going to put on a banger! Damn, that Clash card is stacked!

Loved the magazine format to catch us all up. I give SMW a lot of credit. They did hold their own with the WWF. It was great seeing Rich and Lawler go at it one more time. Icing on the cake was watching the Funks and Freebirds brawl. Les and Dutch were really on their A games tonight. Commentary mixed in with the matches was very creative Mr. Perfect has arrived and I know he'll be knocking on Gordy's door real soon. Bullet Bob really scored signing Hennig. Is it me or is Hayes more enthusiastic about a Freebird reunion than Gordy. Bundy's also a serious threat to Gordy Sherri's having a hard time just getting her team in public If he can't get Terry, Murdoch's a pretty good runner up. I wonder how Gordy feels about all this. He's got enough on his plate with all the challengers lining up for his title. Can the DWBs bring Wright the happiness he so badly wants Tremendous job setting up the Southern Title match between Garvin and Fuller. Absolutely brilliant Chaos was exactly the way to end tonight's show. There was a lot of tension and things needed to burst Will Sherri ever get her team to SMW? These guys must be as good as Sherri brags about. Great week. SMW is really clicking.

SummerSlam! Let's do this! Props to Monsoon and Callis for making this feel like an epic event Tag team chaos to kick things off. Wow! Tito and Hacksaw pull it off. Didn't see that coming. Tito and Duggan are adored by the fans, so this should be a fun reign. Tatanka gets a nice win on the big stage. On the flip side, Bravo seems way off his game and even loses his manager. I wonder what's troubling Dino. Enjoyed Z-Man's clean win over the established Beefcake. This makes Zenk very credible and Hart has an argument for a title shot. King vs. JYD was well written and exactly the way I could see this going down. Lawler gets to shine and remain a top heel. I got a good laugh from that Survivor Series logo. Warlord takes advantage of Spivey's shoulder issue to get a big win. Warlord's getting a nice push. Backlund snaps! A deranged Backlund is a very dangerous and unpredictable Backlund. I liked how you used Nailz for this moment because it makes Backlund even scarier. That dirty Tugboat! Kerry had it! Kerry will need some back up if he wants to tangle with the Natural Disasters. Convincing title defense for Dynamite. I'm hoping him and Zenk will go at it for the TV title. Hogan triumphs in his big WWF return! You've got a great story going here, setting up Hogan/Andre while keeping the Jake/Dibiase angle strong. Funk and Flair tear it up! Man, what a match! Funk stays strong by passing out while Flair gets the visual of the night holding up his newly won title. WOOOOO! Awesome job! Props to all the hard work you put into this. The promos were very well written and the commentary was spot on. And of course, your match descriptions all told the story.

Firestorm! The opening match and result shows just how competitive and hungry the new teams are. Oh man, Dreamer gives Wright a beating he'll never forget! I wonder if this will finally wake Wright up Hamrick puts down a game Guido Ultimo makes it known he's still in contention for the LHW title I love how Martel and Windham went into pure brawl mode. Martel pulls this one out but I think Windham will want another round. Damn, did we just see the birth of extreme wrestling? Sabu has changed the landscape Severn's onto something and just made a breakthrough with Taz. Sadly, the FOJ's reign comes to an end. However, I can't help but feel happy for Scotty and Stevie. Their arc has been amazing. RVD pulls out another title defense in another thriller. After one heck of a war, Slaughter finally defeats Condrey to end night one on the highest of notes Night 2 After that performance, Bigelow should be considered a title contender I got to give it up to the Headbangers. They never gave up and finally got that huge win over Iron and Steel. No doubt about it, Douglas is ready for another shot at RVD. Gunns win the battle but as far as the Dudley's are concerned, the war isn't over Whoa! If Awesome was looking to make a statement, mission accomplished! It was a long road but Candido finally gets the best of Rose. Feel good moment of the night. Savage ekes out the win but Lee makes it known he wants more Aw man, Lynn was so close. But hey, who wouldn't want to watch these guys go another round Thrillseekers proved why they've rapidly become one of the top teams in PCW. That was some impressive teamwork Busick narrowly escapes Eddie again. I wonder what's going through Eddie's mind right now. Adams victory only puts this feud with Bret at a higher level. These two might have to settle things in a cage SOB's give the Midnights quite a scare. I agree, the young teams are coming on strong. How long can the Midnights survive? Kawada and Williams end the weekend with a banger. They gave the fans everything they could expect and more. Strong finish for Kawada and this makes him look almost invincible. Excellent job!

'The Raging Bull' Manny Fernandez vs. Clinton Stitch A nice surprise to start the show as Manny Fernandez makes his return to the AWA. Manny comes to the ring wearing a red bandana, tank top and jeans. He tosses the bandana and shirt and gets down to business. He brings his brawling skills tonight and then finishes things off with the flying burrito. Nelson: Manny, welcome back to the AWA. Manny: Thank very much Larry Nelson. The Raging Bull is back baby and I'm ready to lock horns with anyone and everyone. I'm so fired up Larry and nothing can stop me! Commercial Break The Hit Sensations w/Malia vs. Neil Jordan and Phil Davidson Malia is standing in the middle of the ring. "Everybody get on your feet and get ready for the thrill of a lifetime. Here comes Slick Vic and Superb Scotty, the Hit Sensations! The Sensations live up to Malia's words and show off some exciting moves. Scotty puts Phil down with the Polish Hammer and tags in Vic. Scotty holds Phil in a backbreaker position as Vic crashes down from the top rope with a leg drop to the chest. The Hit Maker connects and it's all over. The Happening will take place at the Sullivan Arena. We've had some big cards there in the past and we thought it was time to go back and give them a very special event. Right now I can officially announce that the main event will be Kokina defending the AWA world title against Bad News Brown. Nelson: Wow, I can't wait for that collision! Magnum: You and me both. Also on that card, El Canek and Mil Mascaras will defend the AWA world tag titles against the number one contenders, the Guerreros. OK, next up, the tournament for the National tag team titles will start next week. Eight teams will participate and the final two will wrestle for the titles at the Happening. Something must've happened since because tonight these two are in total sync. Hashimoto executes a brainbuster on Jones and tags in Jumbo. Jumbo finishes things off with a powerbomb! After the match, Jumbo and Shinya bow to each other. Commercial Break Footage is shown from Title Night as Dundee and Parsons attack the RPMs after their world tag title match. The Iceman and The Superstar w/Jackie vs. Gary Enos and Harold Bannister Parsons hits the Hip Attack and Dundee follows with the Bombs Away for the win. Nelson's about to conduct an interview when Austin Idol struts out Idol: Nelson, I'll take it from here. (looks at Jackie) Jackie, darling, I've got some incredible news for you. At Title Night, you got your revenge on the RPMs and man I loved every minute of that. Jackie, Parsons and Dundee laugh and nod Idol: I was riding that high and went into a bar to celebrate. Well, sitting in that bar was none other than...wait, I don't want to let the cat out of the bag. Here's his card. Idol hands Jackie the card. Jackie's eyes widen. Jackie shows Parsons and Dundee. (looks at Parsons and Dundee) As for you guys, we have a national tag team title tournament to win. They all high five and hug. Commercial Break 'Gigolo' Jimmy Del Ray vs. Arnie Goldstein Former dual tag team champ Del Ray returns to try his luck at single's competition. He's off to a great start and breams' confidence as he easily works over his opponent before winning the match with an impressive moonsault. Jimmy cuts a promo and says he got it done in a tag team and will shine brighter as a solo star. Commercial Break We see Bad News Brown standing in front of an AWA logo. Brown: At Title Night all you beer belly sharecroppers saw me run the gauntlet. That was just the beginning. It's time to get my world title back and that means it's time to run through Kokina! We see footage from Title Night when Dr. X and Norman caused chaos. That's followed by Lou Perez tossing his crutch to Al. Al hits Gama Singh's ribs with it and executes the helicopter drop to win the title. We come back to Larry Nelson Nelson: Joining me now is the new AWA TV Champion, Al Perez. Boos as Lou (still on crutches) comes out with Al. The fans boo louder as Al smiles and holds up the TV title. Nelson: I can't believe what went down at Title Night. Al, how can you call yourself a champion. Lou: Hold up Larry! You will refer to my brother, the TV champion as the Latin Heartthrob Al Perez! Al: Great job Lou, you always got my back. To answer your question Larry, I call myself the TV champion because I earned this! I straight up asked Gama if he was good to wrestle at that idiot said yes. My brother Lou will be managing my affairs while he heals from his knee injury. See, Lou's smart unlike that goof Gama. Gama needs to worry about that lunatic that's after him. As for me, I will be a fighting champion. Bring them on and I'll knock each challenger over like dominos. The fans boo as Lou points to Al while he smiles and holds up the TV title. Commercial Break The Mavericks and 'Maniac' Matt Borne vs. Rampage and Scott 'Flash' Norton w/ Ted Arcici We get a good 10 minute fun match where everybody gets some shine in. Norton shows off his power. Borne proves he's tough as nails. Rampage brings the brutality and the Mavericks true grit comes out. Things get crazy when Arcidi interferes. A chaotic pier six brawl breaks loose. During the melee, Storm puts Equalizer down with a spere. While the Ref is tied up across the ring with brawling wrestlers, Arcidi tosses Norton a foreign object. Norton stuffs it in his elbow pad and adjusts it on his arm. Storm turns around to look for the Ref but Norton blasts him with a loaded clothesline! Norton covers as Arcidi yells at the Ref. The Ref dives over and counts 1..2..3! BOOOOOOOOOOO

Koloff's got some muscle and I'm sure Ross will bring the calvary The Desperados finally made it! Seems like Bruno's already taking a liking to them When there's a surprise roll up a rematch is usually coming. I could imagine Luna losing it when that happened Ellering and the Harris Brothers send a strong message to the Power Twins. They better reinforce the ring when those teams hook up Pedicino's a well informed man What an in ring debut for the Desperados! I can't wait to hear what Alberto Attorney at Law has to say about this.
