Man, the Cuban Assassin really has a thing for Tasha. Good thing Morton always saves the day. I can't imagine where the Cuban Assassin wants to take her Tasha must be in total disarray. She's dealing with the Cuban Assassin while the Nightmares keep getting the best of her men.

TNT have quickly gotten over Poor Orndorff standing there as the Southern Boys pick Gordy. The Southern Boys have good logic but I have a feeling Orndorff wont let this go. Oh man, Wright and IRS are made for each other. I'll give Wright his props, the man can cut a promo Austin won't let anybody stand in his way of winning the tournament Destruction Crew and TNT get some heat going for the tag tournament. Killer Kyle has an impressive debut. Southern Boys and Gordy shine in the main event as Orndorff seems to have calmed down...for now The puzzle pieces are all coming together.

Damn, what an opening segment. Jake's out of KOTR. Nailz is in. Lawler and Santana brawl. Then Terry Funk returns! Loved that promo! Funk is what Monday Night Raw is all about. I've been looking forward to Titan defending against Spivey. Smart move getting Hart's men their heat back Andre beating up 4 men shows how really pissed off he is. I would hate to be the guy that did this to Jake when Andre finds out. Flair gives a great promo about being innocent but still doesn't feel bad for Jake. Great job with Taylor tonight. He pays to get a win but later it backfires with Snuka. It's cool seeing Snuka get a high profile match on pay per view. With all that's going on, KOTR will be a must see event.

AWA Title Night 5-16-91 Winnipeg Arena Ken Resnick: Hello fans and welcome to AWA Title Night, right here on the SCA network. You'll see four big title bouts. Commissioner Magnum TA will be here. And of course, both Hulk Hogan and Gerry Morrow will have live comments regarding their much anticipated WrestleRock cage match. Ok, let's get things going! AWA International Title Bout Carlos Colon (C) vs. 'Gorgeous' Gary Young w/Austin Idol Colon is razor sharp and focused tonight while Young seems distracted and conflicted. Idol shows looks of frustration every time Colon takes Young down. Colon just overwhelms Young with arm drags, hip tosses, takedowns, and hard hitting shots. Young manages to get in a few bright spots but can't get any serious momentum going. Young completely misses a clothesline off the ropes, Colon swings back and hits Young with a flying body press 1..2..3! The fans cheer as Colon holds up his International title. Colon takes a long look at his title before exiting. Young gets to his knees. He looks out at Idol. Idol gives him a sheer look of utter disappointment before walking up the aisle, leaving Young along in the ring. Winner of the Match and STILL AWA International Champ- Carlos Colon AWA TV Title Bout Gama Singh (C) vs. Iceman Parsons w/Jackie Jackie tries to distract Gama when the bell rings but Gama doesn't fall for it and sees Parsons coming at him. Gama quickly turns around and back drops Parsons. The first few minutes is all Gama. Gama scores several near falls as Parsons barely hangs in there. Things change when Jackie trips Gama coming off the ropes. Gama falls as Parsons drops an elbow on the top of Gama's head. Parsons controls the next few minutes with classic heel tactics and stiff shots. Parsons almost gets the win with a jumping high knee but Gama survives. Parsons goes for a back drop but Gama kicks him and follows with a dropkick. Gama regroups and makes the comeback. Gama hits a vertical suplex and goes to the top rope. Jackie distracts Gama but Gama quickly turns his attention back to Parsons. Gama nails him with a missile dropkick. Ding, ding, ding. The bell rings signaling a time limit draw. Jackie gets in there and helps Parsons up. The Ref hands Gama the TV title. Jackie gets in Gama's face. While Gama is arguing with Jackie, Parsons runs over and nails Gama from behind. Parsons snatches the TV title. Him and Jackie leave the ring with the title. Official decision- A time limit draw. Gama Singh retains the TV title Resnick is at ringside with AWA Commissioner Magnum TA Resnick: Welcome Magnum. Things are already getting heated here at Title Night. Magnum: I want Mr. Parsons to know, that his behavior is unacceptable and he will return the TV title immediately. Enough said. Resnick: Very good. Ok, Magnum, switching gears, I know you have some information regarding WrestleRock. Magnum: Yes I do Ken. As you know, night 2 of WrestleRock will take place in the Metrodome. Well, night 1's location has been sealed. Cheers as Carlos Colon walks out. Colon: Commissioner Magnum, I'm very sorry to interrupt you like this but may I please have a moment of your time? Magnum: Sure thing Carlos, what's on your mind? Colon: Magnum, it has been my upmost honor and privilege to have held this International title. I come to you in a bittersweet moment. I feel this is the right time and I must do this. (pauses and looks down at his title) Magnum, I know the rules and I would like to officially relinquish my International title and use my number one contender right to officially request a world title opportunity. The crowd applauds Colon. Resnick and Magnum are a bit taken back. Colon hands Magnum the International title. Magnum looks at the title, then at Colon. Magnum: (pauses) Carlos, are you absolutely sure you want to do this? Colon: I've never been more sure about anything in my life. Magnum: (smiles and nods) Fair enough. (keeps smiling) The timing couldn't be better. Carlos, why don't you come with me. I have something very interesting to talk to you about. (looks at Resnick) Ken, next week on TV, I'll announce WrestleRock's night 2 location. Don't worry, this will all fall into place. Magnum and Colon walk to the back. Resnick: (awed look) Ok, talk about a curveball! Very bold move by Carlos Colon. I'm sure we'll hear more about all this next week. You won't want to miss that. Fans, in case you forgot, this rule applies only for the world title and not the world tag team titles, which explains the next match coming up. AWA World Tag Team Title Bout Ron Garvin and Dick Slater (C) vs. AWA National Tag Champs, the Heavenly Bodies This one keeps the fans on the edge of their seats. Garvin and Slater control segments with their hard hitting, in your face style. The Heavenly Bodies have plenty of moments themselves with their in sync teamwork and high octane offense. The match goes back and forth with a few pier six brawls thrown in. Garvin slams Prichard and follows with the Garvin stomp. Garvin drops an elbow 1..2..Jimmy breaks it. Slater runs in and knocks Jimmy back. As the Ref guides Slater to his corner, Jimmy grabs Garvin from behind and hits an overhead suplex. Heavenly Bodies work over Garvin. They swing Garvin to the ropes and hit a double flapjack. Jimmy covers 1..2..Slater breaks it. Another brawl breaks loose. The Ref gets control. Garvin eventually tags in Slater. Slater goes to town on Jimmy and puts him down with a Russian Leg Sweep 1..2..Prichard breaks it. That brings in Garvin and more chaos ensues. During the melee Garvin accidently punches Slater. Slater goes down. Before Garvin can help Slater, Jimmy dropkicks Garvin through the ropes. Jimmy goes to the top rope. Slater staggers up as Prichard nails him with a back stabber. Jimmy follows with a moonsault 1..2..3!!! The Heavenly Bodies are celebrating big time. They grab both sets of titles and hold them up high. After more celebrating, they exit. Garvin gets back in the ring and helps Slater up. WHAM! Slater drops Garvin with a punch! Slater looks down at Garvin. He contemplates something but ends up just leaving pissed. Winners of the match and NEW AWA World Tag Team Champs- The Heavenly Bodies Resnick is standing in the ring Resnick: What a night this has been. New world tag team champs the Heavenly Bodies. I sincerely hope Slater and Garvin can patch things up. Ok fans! Joining me now, the immortal Hulk Hogan! The place goes bananas as eye of the tiger blasts! Hogan comes down the aisle wearing jeans and his Hulkamania T-Shirt and white headband. He gets in the ring and gives the fans some poses and thumbs up. Resnick: Wow Hulk, listen to these people. Hulk, we all know why you're here and what this is all about. At WrestleRock, it'll be you and Gerry Morrow, inside the steel cage. Now Hulk, before we get to that, I have to ask. There's a lot of talk behind the scenes and rumors are running rampant that WrestleRock could indeed be your last match here in the AWA. Hulk's look turns serious as he looks around at the crowd. Hulk: Well you know something Killer Ken, you're right, there's been a lot going down behind the scenes brother. Nothing is set in stone yet. However, I can guarantee all my Hulkamaniacs this. At WrestleRock, last match or not, Hulkamania is going to put down that no good, coward Gerry Morrow for good! That's a sworn promise by Hulk Hogan brother! So, Gerry Morrow, whatcha gonna do when there's nowhere to run, nowhere to hide and Hulkamania runs wild on youuuuuuuuu! The crazy cheers turn to boos as Brenda Britton enters the ring. Britton: Hi everybody! (looks at Hogan) What makes you so confident? Who says you're even going to make it to WrestleRock? At that point, Jumbo Tsuruta, Mr. Saito and Shinya Hashimoto enter the ring. Brenda smiles and exits. Hogan knows what's up and starts unloading on all 3 men! Hogan punches away as the fans go nuts. However, the numbers are just too much. The Japanese take control and give Hogan a beating. They stomp down on Hogan and really put the boots to him. They lift him up and triple powerbomb him down! The crowd's in riot mode. The Japanese pick Hogan up again and deliver another triple powerbomb! The Japanese lift the lifeless Hogan up and hold him. The boos reign down as Gerry Morrow enters the ring. He invites Brenda into the ring. Gerry hands her a champagne bottle. Gerry slowly takes off his sunglasses and fedora hat. He takes off his suit jacket. The Japanese hold Hogan as Morrow smiles and walks over. Morrow slaps Hogan a few times, then hits him with 3 headbutts! Morrow snatches the mic. Morrow: AHHHHHHHH Hulk Hogan. If WrestleRock is to be your last match in de AWA, then I think it's fitting we have a toast. Brenda hands Morrow the champagne bottle. Morrow opens it. Morrow: A toast to de official end of Hulkamania Morrow pours the bottle of champagne over Hogan's head. Morrow takes a swig and spits it in Hogan's face. Security needs to come out and hold some rowdy fans back. The Japanese drop Hogan. Morrow puts his boot on Hogan's chest and holds the champagne bottle up. Commercial Break Resnick: (alarming look) What a gutless and despicable act by Gerry Morrow. That man has zero redeeming qualities and all I can say is I hope he really gets his comeuppance at WrestleRock. Just disgusting. Resnick goes to a commercial so things can calm down AWA World Title Bout Kokina (C) w/Adnan Al-Kassie vs. El Canek After what just went down, the fans need a reason to cheer. Canek gives it to them as he starts the match strong. Canek staggers Kokina with several forearm blasts. Kokina's teetering. Kokina looks pissed. He swings Canek to the ropes and clamps on a bearhug! Kokina wrenches away as the fans fire Canek up. Kokina strengthens his grip. Canek's in pain but starts shaking his arms. Canek gives Kokina a few ear claps and finally breaks the hold. Both men are reeling. Canek swings off the ropes and nails Kokina with a flying shoulder block. Canek moves around and regroups. Kokina starts to rise but Canek nails him with a kneelift. Kokina staggers back as Canek clotheslines him down. Canek goes to the middle ropes and delivers a senton 1..2..Kick Out. Canek swings Kokina to the corner and follows with a running spin kick. As Kokina staggers out, Canek goes to the top rope. Rick Martel and The Dudley Boyz, wow who would have thought. This is going to be a lot of fun Both Kid and Bigelow are coming on strong Rose always has a contingency plan. Morley is a perfect fit for this group Hamrick gets his time to shine I'm really looking forward to watching Savage in PCW. He's already in a main event program with Dibiase, so I'm sure big things are in store for him The Smoking Gunns did come at the right time. Barry's got back up while the Thrillseekers can focus on gold Eddie's stock is skyrocketing Cow Palace After a bit of a slump, Douglas is back on the winning track Midnights are another team back in title contention Kawada's path of destruction continues Can't wait for Dibiase and Savage, one on one Iron and Steel keep a firm grip on the titles I would've loved to be in San Fran for that Hart/Condrey title bout Fresno Dragon kicks things off with a spectacular finish Big win for the FOJ especially with an unpredictable Sabu Severn is one guy you don't want to get cute with Bigelow remains hot Solid effort from the Money Train but Coast to Coast are in the zone right now RVD ekes out the win but Dreamer impresses Damn! The stage is perfectly set for Superbrawl! Hot 6-Man opener is the way to go. Babyfaces winning gets the crowd totally involved. The Orient Express have been looking strong on TV. Smart booking by giving the Steiners a credible win on pay per view I think the Mountie has had his last chance at the TV title. Loving Pillman's reign Ventura tried but I think there's even more US tag title confusion It's time! It's Vader time Hmmmmm looks like the York Foundation is going International Nikita looked strong but Hennig ekes out the win to retain Hall looks like a major threat Props to Josh for bringing the fight but Taker's not going down anytime soon Even in defeat, Dusty stays more over than ever in Florida. Rude putting down both Rhodes was a big visual The power teams collide again! Who will eventually come out on top Steamboat and Dustin get a big victory but the Dangerous Alliance get even more heat Luger returns and Sting wins the world title! What a way to end the show! Great Superbrawl follow up. Luger and Sid are clearly heading for a showdown as are Doom, the Steiners and RWs. I wonder if Ventura finally found a way to end the US tag title confusion. We'll find out next week. Love the idea of Zbyszko going after Pillman's TV title. I do believe Hall is ready for a world title shot.

Bobby Blaze vs. Marvis Sanderson Blaze looks pretty damn good tonight as he works over his opponent with several takeovers and various holds. Blaze does a tremendous job of wearing his opponent down and finishes things off with the Northern Lights Suplex! Commercial Break The Guerreros vs. Carl Kellerman and Samson Smith Guerreros put on a textbook tag team display and even though they don't need to cheat, they do anyways. Guerreros get the easy win with a double hot shot on the top rope. Nelson: Ok Hector, Chavo, you guys have been going back and forth with the British Bombers for a while now and there doesn't seem to be an end in sight. Chavo: Hey, we keep beating them over and over again. Nelson: Well, they've gotten more than a few victories over you two. Hector: Yes, it's because they resort to blatant cheating. We win our matches clean and those are the only ones that count. Commercial Break Masa 'Tokyo' Chono vs. Konnan This one's an interesting clash of styles. Chono works over Konnan with some stiff strikes and puts him down with a high kick. As Chono falls back, Konnan rolls him over with a handful of tights 1..2..3! Chono kicks out a second too late as Konnan rolls out of the ring. Chono's clearly upset as an exhausted Konnan raises his arms in victory. Commercial Break The AWA's biggest event is coming! You don't want to miss it. Ok, let's get back to the ring. Sam Houston vs. Clyde Putnam Sam works rough and gives Putnam a beating. Sam has Putnam in a headlock and punches away then hits a running bulldog for the win. Nelson: Sam, I understand your bunkhouse partner Jimmy Golden has left the AWA. Does this mean you're going solo now? Sam: Damn right I am! All I hear is everybody talking about WrestleRock. Well, Sam Houston better be on that card because I'm looking to give somebody a beating...bunkhouse style! Commercial Break Nelson: Fans, I'm here once again with Ted Arcidi. Ted, I understand we're going to see another arm wrestling match with your man Scott Norton. Arcidi: That's Scott 'FLASH' Norton, buddy! They grip hands. The Ref puts his hand on top of theirs and lets go. Norton does indeed slam his opponent's arm hard on the table and it's all over. Arcidi: Get that bum out of your ring Scotty! Norton grabs his opponent by his hair and hurls him over the top rope. Norton's neck veins are bulging and his face is beet red as he continues to flex and yell. Arcidi looks on with a big smile. Commercial Break AWA 6-Man Champs Demolition vs. 3 Local Talents It's all Demolition as they take turns beating up their poor opponents. Crush hits a big clothesline. Axe and Smash finish things off with the Decapitator! Demolition cut a fired up promo and dare any 3 men to come after these titles! Commercial Break 'The Love Machine' Art Barr w/The Vin Man vs. Harold Bannister Vinnie's already celebrating as Barr hits the Frog Splash for the win! Nelson: Well Vinnie, another impressive win for your man. Vin: Oh Larbo, did I tell you or did I tell you? Art Barr is the acquisition of a lifetime! I'm taking Art to heights never before imagined in the AWA. Barr: The Love Machine is here to go straight to the top and the Vin Man is going to get me there! Vin: YEA! Commercial Break 'The Modern Day Warrior' Kerry Von Erich vs. Todd Rooney Kerry fires up the crowd as he back drops Rooney. Rooney staggers up as Kerry puts him down with the discus punch! You were so close to winning the AWA world title. Kerry: Larry, my goal has always been to be the AWA world champion and it eats me alive to have been that close. I've been training hard and I want a shot at the world title, plain and simple! Commercial Break Footage from last week is shown as Don Muraco rips off Tommy Rich's suit and chokes him. Also, Title Night airs tomorrow right here on Sports Channel America. Ok, let's get to the ring. Latin Desire vs. The Tribal Nation Since losing the National tag titles to the Heavenly Bodies, Latin Desire have been racking up the wins. On the flip side, the Tribal Nation have suffered some heartbreaking losses and look to get back on track tonight. Tribal Nation start off with serious aggression and take it to Latin Desire. Mark tags in Chris, they swing Lou to the ropes and double back drop him. Lou staggers up as the Tribe put him down with a double chop. Tribal Nation continue to work over Lou with quick tags and double team maneuvers. Lou somehow survives it and eventually makes the hot tag to Al. Al's pumped up and cleans house. Soon the Warrior will arrive and start the quest to be the one true Ultimate Warriorrrrrrrrrr!!!!!"

This is so interesting. I also loved this territory and era. Keep it up!

Bob makes sure everybody knows the rules and he's in charge. Poor Wright. Man, I hope he can get licensed. Bam Bam has arrived! Solid fired up promo from Horner. The working man vs. The Tax man. That's money in a territory like this TNT is formed and they want the gold I'm a sucker for the masked gimmick. It always works. Horner gets even more love from the fans while IRS is pissed. Yea, this feud is going to work I have to agree with Orndorff here. I think it's only a matter of time before he snaps and hurts somebody with the banned piledriver TNT has a good in ring debut by taking the Russians to the limit. Fun TV main event that leaves the fans wanting more. It's going to be a big moment when Austin finally gives Dutch the beating he deserves. Damn, that's some loaded talent for the tournament Gordy gets the big promo to end the show.
-
It's all about Superbrawl! The Dangerous Alliance has a lot going on and have some serious adversaries to deal with Eventually the battle of the Rockers will happen Freebirds and RnR have a fun storyline going. However, according to Ventura it all ends at Superbrawl Once again the Mountie gives Pillman a threat but Pillman seems unfazed Watch out! It's Vader time in WCW! I think Big Josh's best chance is to put his axe handle to the urn Nothing like a big brawl between 3 of the baddest teams in wrestling Love the image of Sid and Sting staring each other down amidst all the chaos Bring on Superbrawl!
-
Hope you and the family are feeling better. This could be the beginning of an incredible TV title reign for Titan Nailz and Backlund are such a deranged alliance. Brilliant idea pairing these two up. I can't wait to watch them sick their teeth into something big. That's a huge win for Tatanka and Dynamite. They got my attention I'll say this again, Taylor is nailing this gimmick Slick's army has a fight coming real soon Can't wait to find out who the special enforcer is. Doesn't look like things will go in the King's favor Big opportunity for the battle royal winner. Great way to end the show. Full of mystery, chaos and intrigue. Which means fans will be tuning in next week.

Headbangers getting some good buzz Sandman gets a satisfying win over his current rival Dibiase remains extremely confident but always watch out for a mystery partner Modest gets a moral victory by taking Scorpio to the limit. Awesome gets an impressive showcase Patriot sends a message to Coast to Coast with that single's win Martel goes full on heel and looks to have formed a faction. However, Windham has some friends too. Great way to introduce two new teams. Portland Eddie's seriously rising the rankings Hamrick gets a big win. It seems the truce was a good idea FOJ are determined to get the GS titles back DAMN! Williams certainly called in an ace. Savage was a complete shocker. This will no doubt put the Terror Collective in total disarray. OOOOOHHHHH YEA! Things get chaotic with Piper and the Playboy Club. It gets even crazier with Candido coming to Piper's rescue. What a wild night in Portland and then the fans get an epic 2/3 falls title bout with Hart and Finlay. The fans definitely got more than their money's worth tonight Eugene Money Train open things up with a win over those nutty Headbangers Two gritty vets battle to a double c.o. Wright's newfound focus is putting him in the win column I really think Douglas needed that confidence boosting victory. Coast to Coast were playing around with the wrong guys RVD retains over a credible and always game PCO Great week man!

AWA News Well, it looks as though contract negotiations between the AWA and Hulk Hogan have broken down. Unless something miraculous happens at the last minute, Hulk Hogan's last match in the AWA could indeed take place at WrestleRock. With the AWA bringing in big names like the Ultimate Warrior, Demolition and Bad News Brown, all signs seem to be pointing to Hogan's exit. Also, look for the AWA to put this out there on TV as part of the build up to WrestleRock. Both Hogan and the AWA agreed this could add even more drama and intrigue to the Hogan/Morrow feud. Losing Hogan will deliver a powerful blow to the AWA and leave an unfillable void. The AWA will lose merchandise sales, celebrity connections, house show profits and probably experience a TV ratings drop. The powers that be are well aware of all this and are working on several plans and ideas to help ease the blow. The second half of 1991 will be very interesting. This is why WrestleRock will be crucial. The AWA is going all out with WrestleRock and hope to accomplish record setting numbers at the gate and on pay per view. The Metrodome in Minneapolis will be the stadium site for Night 2 and will feature the Hogan/Morrow cage match as the main event. Expect night 1's stadium site to be announced very soon. The main event on night 1 will be the AWA world title bout. The AWA knows that having two different stadium shows on two different nights is a tremendous task but they are confident they can put together a big drawing card for each night. If WrestleRock is the success they hope it will be, this will definitely give them some nice momentum for the second half of the year.

Arcidi: Scotty got the name Flash because he puts them down in a flash! Now, watch what I'm talking about! Inside the ring a table is set up. Scott Norton is on one side while a man name Kris Faulkner stands on the other side. A referee tells them to lock hands. Norton gives a yell and flexes. They hook up. The Ref grabs the top of their hands pauses and says "Go" Norton slams Faulkner's arm down and its over! Arcidi grabs a mic Arcidi: See! I told you! Get that bum outta your ring Scotty! Norton pounds away on Faulkner and hurls him over the top rope. Norton's veins bulge as he flexes. Arcidi: That's my boy! Commercial Break We see that big steel door again. Commercial Break We hear Rush's Tom Sawyer start to play. A video package of Kerry Von Erich follows. We see Kerry lifting weights and training hard. We also see highlights in the ring of him using his discus punch and claw. Taking the AWA by storm 'The Modern Day Warrior' Kerry Von Erich Nelson: Kerry Von Erich has been like a tornado here in the AWA. Ok, switching gears, at Title Night, Carlos Colon will defend his International title against my guest at this time, Gary Young along with his manager Austin Idol. Idol's all smiles but Gary's not. Young: Austin, be straight with me. Why did you have the Japanese beat up JW like that last week? JW is our friend. Why? Is it just because we lost the 6-Man titles to Demolition? You signed that match and we didn't even have time to prepare. It wasn't Ricky's fault or JW's. That wasn't right Austin. It just wasn't right. Idol: No, no, no Gary. It's not like that. Gary, you've always been the chosen one. Ricky left with his tail between his legs and JW lost his nerve. Well, you saw what happened to him. Gary, I'm right here with you darling. I got you this upcoming International title shot because you are indeed the chosen one and I believe in you. Now, let's get it together and win that title! Austin struts away. Gary still looks unsure but reluctantly follows. Commercial Break The Big Bossman vs. Fred Burrows It's all Bossman and he puts a stamp on the match with the sidewalk slam! As Bossman celebrates he looks out and sees Nell staring at him. Nell dangles the Hangman's noose. Bossman looks unrattled as he swings his nightstick and points it at Nell. Commercial Break Los Boricuas vs. Rampage Rampage hit the ring and attack Los Boricuas from behind before the bell rings. The Ref is trying to get control but it's like he's not even there. Rampage hurl Castillo over the top rope. They swing Perez to the ropes and put him down with double boots to the face! Rampage stomp and huff around the ring. Commercial Break Nelson: Fans, coming out now is Tommy Rich. The boos reign down. Rich walks out wearing a new suit with his blonde hair slicked back. Nelson: Tommy, you have a lot of explaining to do. Rich: Relax Larry, jeez. What are you talking about? Nelson: I'm talking about Champagne Slam and you being in cahoots with Gerry Morrow to prevent Hulk Hogan his chance at the world title. And what's with the new suit and look? Come on Tommy, come clean. Rich: Look Larry, what's wrong with bumping shoulders with the wealthy and getting a taste of the good life. I mean look at this suit. It fits the wildfire well. (laughs) Cheers as the Magnificent Muraco comes out. Muraco: I'm glad you think this is real funny Rich. You know, I've been through a lot with Hogan this past year and we've got a good friendship going. Rich: Wow, you need better friends Donny boy. You must be really hard up. (laughs again) Muraco: Oh real funny. This is a big joke to you. Rich: Yea (laughs) Just like you and that chump Hogan. Muraco: Ok, well. I've got something funny for you. I think the fans will get a good laugh at this. Muraco puts Rich down with a punch! Nelson gets out of there Muraco stomps down on Rich. Muraco proceeds to rip the suit off Rich! The fans are cheering and laughing Muraco starts choking Rich with the suit jacket. Rich is coughing and frantically trying to escape but Muraco's got him down. Muraco's the one laughing now. Commercial Break We see the back of a muscular man standing on top of a hill looking out at the land below. "Many Warriors fought on that field but only the great warriors survived! A true warrior faces the greatest warriors. The powers above have sent me to the AWA for a purpose. The man turns around "To be the Ultimate Warriorrrrrrrrrrr!"

This has been a lot of fun to read I think Dutch and Wright are battling for comedic heel of the year. These guys crack me up every week. The Destruction Crew are making names for themselves here What a way to introduce Ahmed Johnson. Pair him with Dutch and go after Austin. Already in the main event scene. I remember watching Murdoch and Uncle Ivan team up in NWA 80's so I'm enjoying their alliance here. Can't wait to find out who the Southern Boys bring in. Very creative writing with Orndorff having to resist the urge to use the piledriver. IRS is getting great heat. I got a good laugh at him accusing Horner of running moonshine and avoiding taxes. Well, after being suspended by WCW, it didn't take Michaels long to find work Always loved shows ending with chaos.

Sorry for falling behind. I just noticed your postings in this section. I love your format and the direction you're going. I have to admit, I'm unfamiliar with some of the names but the hype videos and promos really paint a great picture. Good job on this I like James Storm so I'll be rooting for him to win the tournament In the tag tournament, I'm going with the Andersons. However, I loved the enormous rulebook spot by Joe Cazana. That scored points with me LOL Keep up the good work

AWA picks up Col. Debeers

Tremendous build to Superbrawl! Sid and Sting are the main event but damn what an undercard. So many great feuds and storylines heading into the mega event Ventura having a laugh declaring co champs was good stuff The Mountie always gets his man but Pillman's a tough one to get The world tag title scene is packed with serious muscle Paul E has assembled quite an alliance but Steamboat, Nikita and the Rhodes are giving them problems Big Josh is as tough as they come but he's heading into a grave challenge All this and Vader's coming in. Wow! And let's not forget the return of Shawn Michaels. Looks like he's officially ready to leave his rocker partner behind

Titan with an explosive win to kick off Raw. However, a very dangerous Dan Spivey clearly wants a title shot. Can't wait for this power match up. I have to say, pure genius (pun intended) move aligning Lawler with the Genius. I'm sure all the fans are hoping Tito shuts both of them up. This feud has me hooked. Tugboat goes toe to toe with Quake. We have another super showdown coming. That must've been one important call for Tunney to shut everything down instantly. Flair and Valiant give the fans a fun old school match. Things turn dark as Jake puts Flair down with the DDT! Impressive debut for Mr. Taylor. I said this before but it's so much fun writing for him as an arrogant heel. We get some great comedy as Akeem surfaces. JYD and Akeem as a team is pure gold.

The Headbangers have arrived. They made a good choice coming to PCW Eddie's looking to break into the upper tier. He's definitely on the right track I liked Finlay's reasoning for a truce. Play by the rules until the last battle Busick's kick ass title reign continues Thrillseekers give their home fans a treat before going on vacation. Growing up watching Martel, I never thought he could be a heel but man did he get into being a bad guy. I'm looking forward to seeing what you have planned for his heel run here Vancouver Kawada's path of destruction continues Bigelow's red hot right now Impressive win for the Lightning Kid that elevates him even higher in the LWH division I thought Dibiase would cool it with Gordy and Williams but I thought wrong. The man of means might've put Gordy on the shelve for awhile I think Cornette pissed off the wrong guys Finlay came to fight but Hart was able to finish strong to retain Kelowna Scotty and Stevie are gelling now Blackman faces the wrath of an angry Adams My guys the FOJ get back in the win column Regal and Dreamer mesh well Coast to Coast remain cohesive champions Wright proved tonight he's finally getting it together. Good showing against the champ

AWA TV @ The Hammond Center 5-1-91 Larry Nelson: Hello everybody and welcome to AWA Major League Wrestling. Tonight you'll see the Guerreros team with Sam Houston to take on the British Bombers and Bobby Blaze. JW Storm clashes with Shinya Hashimoto. All that and so much more, including a big announcement from the Commissioner Magnum TA. Ok. let's get to the ring. AWA TV Champ Gama Singh vs. Clinton Stitch Gama methodically works his opponent over and finishes things off with the Indian Deathlock. Gama goes to ringside and Nelson asks him about his upcoming Title Night title defense against Iceman Parsons. Gama: I'll admit it, when Parsons defeated me in the world title tournament I was down and disappointed but a true champion regroups and gets focused. Parsons, your manager's distractions wont get me this time. I'm ready and know I'll be walking out of there still AWA TV champion. Commercial Break Leo Burke vs. Todd Rooney Burke surprised a lot of people by advancing to the world title battle royal. His resurging energy shows tonight as he easily wins the match with the sleeper. Burke gives a promo and says he's never felt better and feels alive again. Commercial Break The biggest event of the year is coming. 2 stadiums, 2 nights. July 17th and July 18th. Live on pay per view. Nelson: Fans, it's that time of year again. It's WrestleRock season. On that note, welcome out the AWA commissioner Magnum TA. Magnum walks out wearing jeans and a leather jacket. Magnum: Thank you very much Larry. Like you said, we're on the road to WrestleRock. However, as you know the upcoming Title Night in Winnipeg on May 16th will be a big stop. You're going to see 4 big title bouts. Kokina will defend the world title against El Canek. Ron Garvin and Dick Slater will defend the world tag titles against the National champs, the Heavenly Bodies. Gama Singh defends the TV title against Iceman Parsons. Also, just signed, Carlos Colon will defend his International title against former 6-Man champ Gary Young. Along with all that, at Title Night both Hulk Hogan and Gerry Morrow have been asked to attend. Nelson: Wow! Really? What's going on Magnum? Magnum: I've spent a lot of time pondering what the consequences should be from what went down at Champagne Slam and all their history as well. So, I've decided that at WrestleRock, Hulk Hogan and Gerry Morrow will go one on one inside a steel cage! The fans pop big time! Nelson: (puts his hand on his forehead) OH MY! Magnum, I couldn't agree more. That's really the only way this can be settled. Magnum: That's right! These two can finally resolve this one on one inside the cage. At Title Night, they will each have the opportunity to speak on this. Also, their match will take place on night 2 inside the Metrodome! The Metrodome has been the annual WrestleRock site so we all felt that this would be the perfect time and place for a match of this magnitude. I will announce night 1's location in just a couple weeks. Nelson: Talk about a bombshell. This road to WrestleRock might be the most wild ride yet. Commercial Break JW Storm vs. Shinya Hashimoto Storm's manager Austin Idol is nowhere to be seen. I think Storm's a bit off his game as Hashimoto strikes him down with chops and kicks. Hashimoto continues to work Storm over with some brutal moves. Storm manages to get some fire going and punches away on Hashimoto. Storm puts his power to work and has Hashimoto reeling. Boos as Jumbo Tsuruta and Mr. Saito come to ringside. They don't interfere but their distraction is enough for Hashimoto to regain control. Hashimoto hits a jumping strike DDT and finishes things off with Fisherman Brainbuster! Jumbo and Saito enter the ring. The 3 men stomp down on Storm, hoist him up and triple powerbomb him down! While the fans boo, the camera pans up the aisle and sees Austin Idol at the curtain smiling and nodding. Moments later, the camera follows the Japanese as they head up the aisle. Austin hands Jumbo an envelope and bows to them as they stoically walk by. Commercial Break Nelson: I'm not sure what that was all about but JW Storm had to be helped out of here. I don't... There's a commotion as the Vin Man strolls out. Vin: Larbo! It's time! I know you've been dying all week to see who my latest and greatest acquisition is. Well, wait no more! Please give a big Vin Man family welcome to the Love Machine Art Barr! Jump by Van Halen plays as Barr struts out. 'The Love Machine' Art Barr w/The Vin Man vs. Samson Smith The bell rings and Vinnie hugs Barr. Barr starts off with an armbar, then pulls Smith in and punches him in the face. Barr swings Smith into the corner and follows with running lunging splash. Barr drags Smith out and hits a snap suplex. Barr goes to the top rope and crashes down with a frog splash to get the win. Vinnie's elated and runs into the ring to raise Barr's arm. Barr struts around and soaks it all in. Commercial Break 'Tidal Wave' Tommy Jammer vs. Neil Jordan Jammer puts his opponent down with a high dropkick, swings off the ropes and hits the California Splash for the win! Commercial Break We see smoke and lights. We see a man's fingers playing the guitar. The camera pans up to Maxx Payne. Maxx jams on the guitar then stops. He looks down at the camera "I hope everybody enjoyed the peace because the pain is coming back! Maxx starts jamming on the guitar. TCB w/Jackie vs. Vic Dutro and Willie Lopez TCB are aggressive and Jackie likes that. She likes it even more when they hit a double rib breaker for the win. Jackie cuts a promo and tells the Rock n Roll RPMs that we're just getting warmed up! Commercial Break Ron Garvin and Dick Slater are standing in front of an AWA banner with their world titles on their shoulders. Garvin: You know Dick, everybody is asking if we're on the same page since Champagne Slam. (laughs) yea, Dicky caught me with a shot but those things happen when things get crazy. Yea, we're on the same page and we're ready for the Heavenly Bodies at Title Night. Slater: Yea, when fists fly, things can get a little wild. (laughs) I know what I've always known, Ron Garvin can take a punch. Heavenly Bodies! Get ready because your heads are going to feel our punches! The Heavenly Bodies are at the beach getting a rub down by several gorgeous women. Del Ray: AHHHHH this is the life of champions. The good life. But we want a better life and that means the world tag team titles. Prichard: Dick Slater and Ron Garvin are nothing but a couple of bar room brawlers. They don't have the chemistry, teamwork, athleticism and they definitely don't have the looks and bodies. But we do! You're looking at the next AWA world tag team champs. Commercial Break Nelson: Before we get to our main event, I've been told that Tommy Rich will be here next week. I'm sure we're all very interested in what he has to say about his part at Champagne Slam. Also, the Big Bossman and El Canek will be in action. Ok, let's get to the ring. The British Bombers and Bobby Blaze vs. The Guerreros and Sam Houston Bombers and Guerreros go at it. Houston blindsides Blaze and we have a pier six brawl going on! Bombers get the upper hand and stereo clothesline the Guerreros over the top rope as Blaze dropkicks Houston through the ropes. Things settle down and the Ref gets control. Bombers and Blaze tag in and out as they work over Chavo. Bombers double suplex Chavo as Blaze follows with a jumping elbow drop 1..2..Hector and Houston run in to break it. We get another brawl. As the Ref distracted, Hector chop blocks Smith from behind. The next segment is all Guerreros and Houston. The Guerreros double slam Smith and follow with stereo elbow drops. Hector tags in Houston. Houston grabs Smith and hits a running bulldog 1..2..Tony and Blaze break it. That brings in everybody and we have another brawl. It's total chaos. The Bombers and Guerreros are punching it out. Houston has Blaze up for a suplex but Tony nails Chavo with a heels first dropkick that sends Chavo into Houston. Blaze crumbles down on Houston as the Ref runs over and counts 1..2..3! Big POP!

Loved that magazine cover The young lions once again excel on the UWF platform Pretty damn good debut for Zaza Benoit impresses in his much anticipated return When Shamrock goes into suplex mode he's pretty much unstoppable Fuke and Yamada rise in the tag rankings. Those spinning backfists are brutal Kopylov's experience is the deciding factor Tamura and Yamazaki score a major win over the Russians and might've earned themselves a title shot Funaki defeats Suzuki in a show stealing thriller Smith had his working boots on but Maeda locked in at the end to retain Oh man, I hope Han gets that title match with Maeda next month It seems attendance is rapidly rising. It's been a blast watching this promotion grow into something big.

Growing up watching wrestling on TBS, I remember how big these Omni shows were Steiners are putting all teams on notice Pillman holding the TV title always feels right Another victim falls to the Undertaker Looks like the Freebirds and RnR have another fight coming It's only a matter of time before Dusty gets his wrestling boots back on Wow, Meng has arrived! Sting got the win and gets Meng over. Mission accomplished Sid retains in a big way but Sting proves he's not invincible What a way to end the night. Steamboat gets the triumphant win but the Enforcers show up and align with the Dangerous Alliance. WCW's not slowing down anytime soon, that's for sure

An 8 man tag given the entire episode...Awesome! It's cool that Williams got the fall after subbing for Wild Dog. Man, what's up with Cuban Assassin? This guy's off his rocker. Morton saving Tasha adds even more intrigue. Ok, we find out what happened to Wild Dog last week. Big money match with Cuban Assassin at the Armory. The Assassin/Tasha/Morton/Hotbody saga continues

Really enjoyable Raw re debut I think Snuka still has a lot to offer and he proved it tonight with the superfly splash! Tito and Lawler get some major heat going. The piledriver on the title was a great Raw moment Warlord brings in JYD! This will be interesting. Maybe JYD can give Slick the big thump. Loved all the promos tonight. Jimmy Hart sure does have a lot to brag about Can Backlund pull off the impossible and rehabilitate Nailz Gary Hart is assembling quite the army. No doubt he'll bring out Ronin's aggressive side to a whole new level. On a side note, I did like the Bart/Billy Jack tough man combo. Loving the Taylor Made Man's vignettes. He plays this part soooooooo well The intrigue with Flair, Snake and Andre is getting intense. I can't wait to see where this goes Raw caps off the night with Titan holding the new TV title high. Props to you for building him into a star
