  1. AWA News Well, of course the biggest news is if WrestleRock will be Hogan's last match in the AWA. The answer is nobody knows. When the rumors were leaked, the AWA and Hulk Hogan decided to put this into the Hogan/Morrow storyline. Everybody has remained extremely tight lipped on the actual negotiations. Whether or not if WrestleRock will indeed be Hogan's last AWA appearance, putting it into the storyline has really paid off. Tickets for the Metrodome are selling fast and the heat on the Hogan/Morrow feud went beyond expectations. Everybody is buzzing about possible outcomes for the match because Hogan's decision will play a major factor in this. Whatever happens, it can be said that both Hulk Hogan and Gerry Morrow went above and beyond to make this feud work. As for the main event in Puerto Rico between AWA world champ, Kokina and Carlos Colon. The AWA has been extremely pleased with the build. Colon has really played the hometown underdog hero well while Kokina has come off like an unbeatable beast. The chemistry is certainly there, and the AWA thinks these two will put on an unforgettable match.
  2. Kanemoto dissected Nelson really well Nagai seemed to be off his game tonight as Scott finishes strong Shamrock's strength was shown in a big way. He's quickly rising the rankings Suzuki and Ogawa go at it with Suzuki having just a little more in the tank Tamura and Kakihara put on a barnburner. Props to Tamura for hanging on and coming back to win Funaki had the endurance tonight and seals the deal with a textbook finish Looks like a little time off worked out well for Sayama Han gives Maeda some scares but Maeda showed exactly why he's the champ YES! Maeda vs. Vader! Bring it on!
  3. I'm with Rain, I love behind the scenes reports Dibiase and Jake will be one of the top feuds in the game. I'm hoping Jake calls in some sinister allies to help fight the Empire. This has so much potential. I have to say, Tito had a very respectable world title run. I've always been a fan of his work in the ring and he deserved his moment AHHHHHH ok the Titan injury totally makes sense now. I thought he was going to have a long run with the TV title and was surprised when he dropped it. Another reason why I love these behind the scenes reports I always loved getting creative by pairing up wrestlers for a tag team. It's fun experimenting Sounds like JYD is a bit burnt out The reason for the Nasties leaving was one of the most creative ways out I've ever read LOL. If anyone deserves to leave on the highest note possible, it's Andre Nikita's in a good place and I'm sure will go out with a bang Earthquake spoke and the higher ups listened I have a feeling the months between SummerSlam and Mania will be off the charts.
  4. Sting vs. Hennig is sure to sell at the Bash Pillman puts down Jimmy Jam. Brian's TV title matches bring so much excitement to the shows The eerie and ominous build of the Undertaker continues Looking forward to the battle of Doom Somehow Morton and Hayes are making this work but can they hold it together against Arn and Larry I'm with JR, I'd pay to see Tenryu against Davey Boy Looks like the New Foundation have a tough task ahead against the Orient Express Everybody's waiting for that Luger/Sid money match The Steiners vs. Road Warriors has got to be one of the biggest TV main events ever. Love the storyline with Missy playing the heel manager to the babyfaces. However, this will get the Steiners serious heat with the other babyface teams. Just ask then Road Warriors.
  5. Taz is ready to take the next big step with the Lethal Weapon and the Beast. Things are going to get nuts Piper and Candido vs. The Playboy Club is one fun feud Fastball gets their biggest PCW win while the Sons get to shine. The tag team competition is fierce! Gunns and Dudley's are giving PCW some bangers Eddie's getting closer to that TV title. Another thing I love about this game is giving guys the breaks they didn't get IRL. Busick is the perfect example. He's had two year long TV title reigns in two different promotions. I love it LA Headbangers are getting some great in ring experience by going toe to toe with Iron and Steel Malenko might want to try for the submission title again Douglas's hot streak continues Adams superkick remains one of the strongest finishers 6-Man chaos! Gotta love it Kawada retains against former champ Windham, with a clean win. This elevates Kawada even higher Santa Barbara Lynn gets a confidence building win Modest and Guido show off their technical skills Damn, Bigelow and Vito have a slugfest. Bigelow's on his way to a title shot Regal and Dreamer show some impressive teamwork Kid keeps his title reign going with a fast paced win over the former champ Can't wait for Taz and the Beast to go at it.
  6. AWA Report We see Kerry Von Erich standing in the desert sun. Kerry: Ultimate Warrior, you know my history and you know I've conquered some of the most dangerous men in wrestling. I survived War Games and rocked the house at Champagne Slam. However, my biggest challenge happens at WrestleRock. That's our destiny. You're absolutely right about one thing. There can only be one in the end. That one will be the modern day warrior Kerry Von Erich! Next, we get a Dick Slater/Ron Garvin montage video set to Pat Benatar's Hit me with your best shot. These two collide in a taped fist match at WrestleRock! The Big Bossman is standing in front of a Prison Bossman: (twirls his nightstick) Hangman! You thought you put me down for good but you found out last week the Big Bossman is back and back with a vengeance! At WrestleRock I'm going to administer law, order and justice! And Nell, if you get in the way, you'll be serving hard time punk! The Hangman and Nell are standing in the desolate town Nell: Big Bossman, you might think you have the upper hand but you're sadly mistaken. When we call out a poor soul, we always collect. You'll be no different from the rest. At WrestleRock, the Hangman will finish things and you'll become obsolete. Hangman grips his noose Latin Desire are standing in front of a WrestleRock banner Lou: Tribal Nation, we know you're getting ready for battle but nothing can prepare you for what's coming at WrestleRock Al: That's right! You wronged the Perez family and we'll get our payback at WrestleRock! We get a TV title hype segment Iceman Parsons and Jackie are in a dance club surrounded by colorful lights and music Jackie: At WrestleRock your time is up Gama Singh! Parsons: I beat you not once, not twice but three times sucker! The odds are on me at WrestleRock, so kiss your TV title goodbye Gama! Gama's standing in front of his car, wearing a suit with the TV title on his shoulder Gama: I'll give credit where it's due. You've gotten the best of me so far Iceman but only with a lot of help. The question is, can you beat me all by yourself? I don't think you can. At WrestleRock, I'll be prepared for anything that comes my way and I can tell you this, I will defeat you and I will walk out (Gama taps on his title) with this TV title. The report ends with tidbits from the WrestleRock celebs, Jose Feliciano, Foreigner, Hector Camacho, Gladys Knight, Maria Conchita Alonso and Mr. T. See previous post for the entire card
  7. AWA TV @ The Hammond Center 6-26-91 Larry Nelson: Hello fans and welcome to AWA Major League Wrestling. (Somber tone) Earlier this week, Hulk Hogan was being honored at a fundraiser event. In what was supposed to be a joyous occasion turned into a disaster. You'll see what I'm talking about right now. We see several people inside a ballroom sitting at tables. A man gets up at the podium and starts talking about Hulk Hogan and his charitable contributions. The man says children from schools all over America wanted to thank Hulk Hogan and present him with a trophy. Several kids carry the trophy up to the stage and present it to Hogan. The kids hug and shake hands with Hogan, then go back to their tables. Hogan is speechless and takes this moment in. Hogan: I can't tell you what this means to me and Hulkamania. There's a bit of commotion as Brenda Britton walks up on the stage. Britton: Hulk, I know we might be on opposite sides but I can put those differences aside for a moment and tell you this. Brenda pulls out a bottle and quickly sprays Hogan in the face! Hogan's blinded Gerry Morrow comes up, grabs the trophy and breaks it across Hogan's back! There's a frightening gasp and screams from the crowd. Mass security gets up there as Morrow and Brenda get out of there. People in attendance are absolutely shocked and disgusted. The place is in complete disarray. Security and a doctor are attending to Hulk. The last image we see are frightened kids crying. A camera follows Morrow and Brenda to the parking lot. Brenda gets inside the limo. Morrow puts on his fedora and sunglasses, looks himself over in the tinted window, smiles and turns around. Morrow: You cannot blame me for dis. It is Mr. Hogan who is de foolish man. I told him several times he would not make it to de cage at WrestleRock but he did not listen. He is a very selfish man indeed. He did not think of de consequences. He did not think of those poor little kids. He only thought of himself. He could have left de AWA with dignity. Well, now he has paid de price. Mr. Hogan will not be at WrestleRock and Hulkamania is no more. However, Morrow Mania will now run wild on de AWA! HAHAHAHAHA, de Champagne Man will be de kids new hero to look up too. And I will not let them down unlike dat selfish Mr. Hogan. Now if you'll excuse me, a toast is in order. Commercial Break Nelson: I can't even tell you how disgusted I am by Gerry Morrow's actions. I can tell you this, there's no way Hulk Hogan will miss WrestleRock. No way! (calms down) Ok, let's get to the ring. Bobby Blaze vs. Trent Watkins Blaze is feeling good tonight and gives the fans some much needed positive energy. Blaze wins the match with the Northern Lights Suplex. Nelson asks Blaze about Gagne and his Ace underestimating him at WrestleRock. Blaze says it's nothing new but maybe Gagne should ask other wrestlers who've underestimated me. Blaze says Gagne's not the only one with an ace up his sleeve. Commercial Break Scott 'Flash' Norton w/Ted Arcidi vs. Neil Jordan Norton just punishes his poor opponent before finishing him off with a powerslam! Arcidi gets in there and him and Norton celebrate by laughing and yelling. The fans cheer as The Missouri Tiger sprints down the aisle. He gets up on the top rope. Norton and Arcidi turn around as Tiger takes them both out with a flying shoulder tackle! Norton and Arcidi bounce and roll out of the ring as Tiger tears off his football jersey and shakes his fists. The Missouri Tiger is back and ready for his showdown with Norton at WrestleRock. Commercial Break Nelson: Joining me now, finally, are the AWA world tag team champs, the Heavenly Bodies. The Heavenly Bodies come out smiling and showing off both sets of titles. Before they get a word in, commissioner Magnum TA comes out. Magnum: Well boys, it's nice of you to finally join us. You've missed a lot of bookings here. Prichard: Look Comish, we're dual champions and we're wanted by the media. It's not our fault. Del Ray: That's right. Everybody wants a piece of the Heavenly Bodies and as dual champions we need to appease the people. Magnum: Ok, I get it. However, missing wrestling bookings mean fines and possible suspensions or even title stripping. But, I've got a better idea. This could throw WrestleRock into a frenzy which makes it exciting. Prichard: Just get to the point Comish. We have a tight schedule. Magnum: You better clear your schedule because today, you will defend your titles against the Mavericks. Del Ray: You can't do that! We're dual champs and we call the shots! Magnum: I call the shots, I can do that, and I just did. Good luck champs. Magnum walks away, Larry's smirking and the Heavenly Bodies are all shook up. The Cobra vs. Arnie Goldstein Cobra once again dazzles the fans with his high octane offense. He hits a snap suplex, goes to the top rope and finishes things off with the frog splash! Cobra looks out and sees Art Barr and the Vin Man on the aisle. Both Barr and Vinnie are giving his frog splash a double thumbs down. Barr looks into the camera and says "I'm finishing this chump off a WrestleRock" Vin follows with "YEA!" Commercial Break Leo Burke and The British Bombers vs. Konnan and The Guerreros This one's a good one. The Bombers and Guerreros continue their rivalry with several see saw exchanges. Burke and Konnan give the fans a WrestleRock preview with some intense segments. Ten minutes isn't enough time as the bell rings signaling a draw. The Bombers and Guerreros tempers flare and they start going at it again. Konnan and Burke have a tense stare down before exiting. They're clearly saving it for their International title bout at WrestleRock. Commercial Break The Magnificent Muraco vs. Todd Rooney As Muraco heads to the ring he's attacked from behind by Tommy Rich and Tully Blanchard! They put the boots to Muraco. Rich gets a trashcan. Tully holds Muraco up as Rich blasts the trashcan over Muraco's head! Rich gets another trashcan and dumps garbage all over the fallen Muraco. Tully rubs Muraco's face in the garbage. Rich gives Muraco a face stomp into the garbage and starts laughing. Tully goes to ringside. Nelson: Oh, I'm sure you and Tommy are real proud of yourselves. Tully: Shut up Nelson! Muraco! You've been a thorn in my side for way too long boy! After Wildfire takes care of you at WrestleRock, I'm going to throw you out of the AWA just like the trash you're lying in! Rich walks over. Rich: What do you say Tully, one more time? Tully: Why not Rich pushes the officials out of the way and body slams Muraco into the trash. Rich takes a banana peel and rubs it in Muraco's face. Tully kicks more garbage on Muraco before more officials come out. Nelson: Get them the hell out of here! Commercial Break Sam Houston vs. Harold Bannister Sam roughs up his opponent and wins the match with a running bulldog. Sam cuts a promo on his WrestleRock opponent Matt Borne and says that Brawny Man wannabe made a huge mistake and at WrestleRock he's going to get a bunkhouse whoop'n he'll never forget! Commercial Break AWA World Tag Team Title Bout The Heavenly Bodies (C) vs. The Mavericks It's clear the Heavenly Bodies are a little rusty as the recently reformed and re-energized Mavericks are all over them. They take turns pinballing the Heavenly Bodies all over the ring. Heavenly Bodies finally get it together and their chemistry shines as they perform several impressive double team maneuvers and score several near falls. The Mavericks stay strong and mount a comeback. Young's all over Prichard. Boooooos as Austin Idol and Bill Dundee come out. They yank Storm off the apron and start double teaming him. Young sees this and starts to run out there but Del Ray's one step ahead and nails Young with a flying knee to the back. Del Ray distracts the Ref while Dundee and Idol continue to beat down Storm. Young staggers up as Prichard nails him with a superkick 1..2..3! The Heavenly Bodies celebrate and brag into the camera about being dual champs and the greatest tag team ever. Idol and Dundee enter the ring. The Heavenly Bodies strut out of there. Idol clamps the Las Vegas Leglock on Young as Dundee hits Young with a Bombs Away from the top rope. Officials rush the ring. Idol and Dundee go to ringside. Nelson: Come on! Why?! Idol: I told you! I told you all! They choked again! See, they're incapable of winning. Dundee: Just pathetic! If you losers think that was something, just wait till WrestleRock! Idol: You darlings are finished! Commercial Break Crush w/Ax and Smash vs. Shinya Hashimoto w/Jumbo Tsuruta and Mr. Saito This one's hard hitting as Crush and Hashimoto beat the hell out of each other for a few minutes. On the outside, Demolition, Tsuruta and Saito start brawling! Jumbo and Saito throw salt in Demolition's faces and proceed to beat them down. Saito gets on the apron and distracts the Ref. Crush has Hashimoto up for a suplex but Jumbo clips Crush behind the knee. Jumbo powerbombs Crush and gets out of the ring. Hashimoto covers as the Ref turns around and counts 1..2..3! BOOOOOOOO! The Japanese walk out with confidence leaving the fallen Demolition behind. Commercial Break The Ultimate Warrior vs. Samson Smith The crowd's electric as Warrior runs to the ring and shakes the ropes. It's all Warrior as he wins the match with a press/slam followed by a body splash! Warrior grabs the mic. Warrior: At WrestleRock, two fighting warriors will battle for supremacy but only one will be victorious. That one will be the ULTIMATE WARRIORRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!! Commercial Break Nelson: My goodness, what a show! Certainly a lot of hatred going into WrestleRock. Fans, I've been given a note that we will hear from the immortal Hulk Hogan next week. Oh boy, I don't care how confident Morrow is, I wouldn't want to be anywhere near him when Hulkster gets a hold of him. Ok, joining me now is the AWA world champion, Kokina, along with his manager Adnan Al-Kassie. Kokina will be defending the AWA world title against Carlos Colon at WrestleRock. Adnan leads Kokina out. Adnan's in full Sheik attire as Kokina proudly wears the title on his shoulder. Nelson: Adnan, your champion attacked Carlos Colon from behind last week and busted him up pretty good. Why attack him from behind? Could the champion be a little worried about his WrestleRock challenger? This pisses Kokina off. Kokina gives Larry a big scare by grabbing him by his shirt! BIG POP as Carlos Colon (bandaged head) comes running out! He clotheslines Adnan from behind, then starts pummeling Kokina! A swarm of security run out. They hold both men back. Colon breaks free and attacks Kokina. Both men fall down. Colon's on top and just starts hammering away on Kokina! Officials and prelim wrestlers run out. The show ends in chaos.
  8. SNME, here we go! Jimmy Hart's newest acquisition the Mountie got his man WOW! Dynamite defeats the mighty Titan to win the TV title. I didn't see that coming Loved the Barber Shop segment. The Million Dollar Man arrives and then Nikita takes out Nailz! This is a game changer because I know this is only the beginning. Man, this was great TV! P&G fight off a determined JYD and Warlord to retain. Will Andre hook up with Dibiase? This story keeps getting better and better After a wild night, Funk dethrones Tito to win the grand prize. I loved that Arnold was in full Terminator gimmick tonight. Flair's beating spoils Funk's moment but damn we're going to get Funk/Flair at SummerSlam. So awesome! Great job with the promos and match descriptions. This was an absolute blast to read.
  9. Dutch is hilarious. Saying Austin and Horner were the masked men cracked me up Murdoch and Uncle Ivan vs. TNT will be a fun old school grizzled vets against the young energetic hotshot's match up Gordy vs. Orndorff with an ok to use the piledriver is going to be off the charts During the early years of this game, I always enjoyed watching the Fullers and Armstrong go at it. It's going to be awesome watching them go at it again especially with the company on the line. Fantastic angle! Oh man, Dirty Dutch is in serious trouble. Will he finally get his comeuppance or will he once again weasel his way out of it The new tag champs get to shine Damn! What an ending! Wright, DWBs, IRS and Fullers do a number on Armstrong. SMW, wrestling the way it used to be.
  10. I love these behind the scenes reports. It looks like the UWF has some major plans in the works. Really cool seeing the Melzer match ratings and how each match was broken down. And yea, Maeda vs. Vader would be a blockbuster main event. This is BIG money!
  11. Tenryu represented York International well. Loved the Pillman/Zbyszko match up. Big title defense for Pillman Luger's back and better than ever! Watch out Sid Dustin gets to shine but Hennig's perfect experience comes through Anvil puts his power to good use but Taker puts him down. Great job with Taker's build Muta's back! Damn, I would love to see him and Steamboat have a tag run Hall was on his A game but so was Sting. Big visual at the end sets the tone for what's coming The triple threat tag match lived up to expectations. Steiners win the belts, RW's remain strong and Doom explodes. All this plus Missy. Great stuff. The Clash follow up was well done. Sid looked like a beast and will Luger be able to slay him. Missy asserting herself as the Steiners manager was hilarious. Fun aside, they now have to deal with the RWs. Looking forward to Simmons vs. Reed. And man, Sting's a wanted man. There are so many great heels for Sting to work with. His reign could be epic.
  12. This is definitely a career breakthrough year for the Thrillseekers Modest shows what he can do as a single's competitor Cornette's a smart man using Big Vito as a roadblock to Condrey. Taz is quickly making a name for himself The return of Elizabeth! The Randy/Liz package is back! OOOOOHHHH YEA! Hart found a massive ally. This feud is going to get brutal Cow Palace Since losing the titles, Iron and Steel seemed to be getting stronger. That's not good for the other teams Loving Martel's heel run. So much potential here What's it going to take to get Wright 100% focused If you haven't guessed, the Spinebuster Slam is probably my favorite finisher in this game Oh man, the Martel/Windham feud is going to go off the rails after what just happened Fresno Smoking Gunns are off to a solid start Finlay leads by example Douglas is in contention for comeback of the year PCO racks up another W My guys the FOJ retain. I give Scotty and Stevie a lot of credit. They've worked hard to get into title contention and I'm sure they'll get another shot Kid and Lynn tear it up and end the weekend on yet another high note for the LHW's
  13. AWA Report The show opens with a special Ultimate Warrior/Kerry Von Erich video set to Foreigner's Jukebox hero. We see clips of Warrior and Von Erich training, cutting promos and in ring highlights. The video ends with Warrior's voice saying "There can only be one!" The Ultimate Warrior clashes with the Modern Day Warrior at WrestleRock! Magnum TA comes on screen. He's standing in front of a WrestleRock banner. Magnum: At WrestleRock, Leo Burke and Konnan will wrestle for the AWA International title. Earlier this week each man participated in a special sit down interview. Let's show you some highlights. Leo's asked about his time in the AWA and how much he has left in the tank. Burke: I've had my ups and downs in the AWA, that's for sure. I've always been in title contention but came up short. This past year I was able to advance to the world title battle royal at Champagne Slam. I was so close but once again came up short. Since then I've been reenergized and refocused. I may not be as young as I used to be, but I can tell you right now, I'm more determined than ever. I'm well aware that this may be my last chance at gold and there's no doubt in my mind that I have to win this match. Konnan's a tremendous competitor but I simply can't lose this match. I've worked too hard and I plan on walking out with that International title. Konnan's asked about his loss to Leo Burke at Champagne Slam and how does it affect him mentally. Konnan: The fact of the matter is I took Leo Burke lightly and he beat me. The only thing that did was light a fire under me. I won't make that mistake again. Leo Burke is going to get the very best Konnan and Leo Burke can't handle the best version of Konnan. Last year I had to make a name for myself and Gary Hart was a big part of that. When Gary left, I was riding high but I let my guard down. I had to regroup. I don't need a manager, I don't need to prove anything to anybody but myself. At WrestleRock, Leo will be out of his league. He's going to get a Konnan he can't hang with. That International title is mine! We see another vignette of the Tribal Nation. They're sitting in a domed enclosure heated with hot rocks and water. They're doing a spiritual cleansing. They say they're preparing for battle against Latin Desire and after the battle, Latin Desire will be sacrificial offerings. The British Bombers and Guerreros each cut promos. Guerreros say if the Bombers had any kind of honor then they would promise to refrain from any rule breaking whatsoever at WrestleRock. The Bombers say the Guerreros wont be able to keep up with them for 30 minutes. Ron Garvin and Dick Slater cut promos Slater: Garvin! We have a lot of unfinished business but at WrestleRock, (holds up a taped fist) you can bet your ass I'm going to finish things! Garvin: You know something Slater, you don't hit as hard as you think you do. I can take your punches but when I nail you with these hands of stone, you're going down. Magnum: Ok, you can see there's a lot of bad blood heading into WrestleRock. I say, let them put it all out there and settle things once and for all. Fans, here's a rundown of the official WrestleRock cards. I'm sure you're excited as I am. 14. AWA TV @ The Hammond Center 6-19-91 The show starts with Brenda Britton standing in the middle of the ring Britton: Hi everybody and welcome to AWA Major League Wrestling. Get ready for the thrill of a lifetime. The Champagne man himself, Gerry Morrow will be gracing everybody with a match right here, right now! So, let me introduce to you the man that will end Hulkamania forever...Champagne Gerry Morrow! Sade's Smooth Operator plays as Morrow walks into the ring wearing a sparkling green vest, shiny green boots and trunks and of course his trademark fedora and sunglasses. He hands a bottle of champagne to Brenda then takes off his suit, fedora and sunglasses. Morrow kisses Brenda's hand and is ready for action. 'Champagne' Gerry Morrow w/Brenda Britton vs. Tony Goya Morrow dismantles his opponent and begins to toy with him. Morrow hits a suplex and follows with a diving headbutt 1..2..NO, Morrow lifts his opponent up. BOOOOOOOS! Morrow chokes his opponent on the top rope and flings him back. Morrow hits a body slam then goes to the top rope. Morrow smiles before crashing down with a diving headbutt. Morrow stands up and puts his foot on Goya's chest 1..2..3. Brenda enters the ring with a Hulkamania shirt and the champagne bottle. Brenda lays the shirt across Goya's face then hands Morrow the bottle. Morrow opens the bottle and gives the fans a toast gesture. Morrow's about to pour champagne over his fallen opponent. The fans come absolutely unglued as HULK HOGAN hits the ring in jeans and a tank top! The fans are going crazy as Hogan unloads on Morrow! Brenda gets out of there. Hogan punches Morrow to the ropes. Hogan swings off the opposite ropes and clotheslines Morrow over the top rope! The fans are on their feet. Hogan rips off his shirt and throws it down at Morrow. Brenda runs over to help Morrow. Hogan does his traditional poses as the fans soak it all in. Hogan grabs the mic Hogan: Gerry Morrow! Whatcha gonna do at WrestleRock when the power of Hulkamania runs wild on youuuuuuuuuuu!!!! Commercial Break Larry Nelson: oh my! What a way to start the show! Hulkamania just ran wild on Gerry Morrow! (takes a deep breath) Ok, a lot going on tonight. I can tell that AWA world champ Kokina is in the building as is Carlos Colon. We'll be hearing from both men tonight. Let's get back to the ring. 'Tidal Wave' Tommy Jammer vs. Neil Jordan Jammer's fired up tonight as he puts his opponent down with a dropkick from the middle turnbuckles. Jammer swings off the ropes and hits the California Splash for the win. Nelson: Ok, Tommy, at WrestleRock you've signed to face a mystery opponent who will be making his AWA debut. Does this worry you at all? Jammer: Hey, it's like surfing the waves in Cali. Sometimes you never know where they're going to take you but you just gotta go with the flow. At WrestleRock, I'll be ready to ride that unknown wave and come out on top! Commercial Break Footage from last week is shown as JW Storm returns to save Gary Young from a double team beating by Austin Idol and Bill Dundee. Nelson: With me now are Gary Young and JW Storm. Young: JW, thank you brother. I had been feeling pretty alone but as a true friend you were there for me. It's sure great to see you. Storm: Gary, you've been a great friend to me and Austin did us both wrong. I say... Boos as Austin Idol and Bill Dundee come out. Idol: Awwwww isn't this sweet. A reunion of the losers. You guys were made for each other Dundee: You two are just pathetic. Austin, you definitely made the right move by cutting ties with these two sad sacks. Young: You know Austin, I'm glad you came out especially with your little friend here. JW and I were talking and why don't we settle this at WrestleRock. You two versus us two. Easy as that. Storm: Yea Austin, I would love to take a shot at you and your little buddy Dundee gets pissed and moves closer. Idol smirks and whispers something to Dundee. Idol: It's clear you boys need to be taught a lesson in the ring. So yea, I'll lace up the boots one more time just so the Superstar and I can teach you that lesson you'll never forget. See you darlings at WrestleRock. Dundee: But nobody will be seeing you afterwards, you can bet on that Idol and Dundee leave. Young and JW high five. Young: Idol! Dundee! The Mavericks are back! Storm: And with a vengeance! Commercial Break Mil Mascaras and El Canek vs. Vic Dutro and Willie Lopez Canek and Mascaras look tremendous and their chemistry is off the charts. Canek holds Lopez in a vertical suplex position as Mascaras hits a flying press from the top rope for the win. Nelson: Impressive victory indeed. Canek and Mascaras will get their well deserved world tag team title shot at WrestleRock. Before the commercial break we see clips of the AWA dual champs the Heavenly Bodies on various local talk shows. They make sure to always show off both sets of titles and talk about how great they are and how great they look. When asked about their WrestleRock opponents they only refer to them as faceless chickens who hide behind their masks before dismissing them as any kind of threat or challenge. Commercial Break The Hangman w/Nell vs. Trent Watkins Hangman obliterates his opponent before finishing things off with the Hangman's neckbreaker! Nell gets in the ring and says something at Hangman. Hangman lifts his opponent and sets up for the heart punch. Hold on! The fans roar as the Big Bossman hits the ring! Nell turns around as Bossman puts him down with a big boot! Bossman twirls his nightstick and nails Hangman. He swings Hangman to the ropes and hits Hangman in the mid section with the nightstick. Bossman twirls the nightstick and smacks Hangman over the head with it! Hangman and Nell are down and out as Bossman holds his nightstick high. Bossman looks into the camera and yells "Justice is back!" Commercial Break Rampage vs. Samson Smith and Carl Kellerman Morgan and Equalizer take turns mauling their poor opponents before swinging Smith to the ropes and finishing things off with double boots to the head! Rampage huff and stomp around the ring. We'll see if they can do this to Los Boricuas at WrestleRock. Commercial Break Nelson: About to join me is Greg Gagne along with his Ace, Frank Andersson. Gagne runs up wearing a sweatsuit and carrying a towel. Gagne: Whoa wait one second Nelson. Only I'm allowed to introduce the Ace. I want all of you to show proper respect for the greatest wrestler walking the face of the earth, the Ace Frank Andersson! The Swedish National Anthem plays as Frank smugly walks out wearing a Swede Olympic sweatsuit with all his gold medals around his neck. He gives the fans a disdainful look, totally shuns Nelson and then shakes hands with Gagne. Nelson: (rolling his eyes) Well, you asked for it and got it. The AWA has chosen Bobby Blaze to be your Ace's opponent at WrestleRock. Gagne pauses for a long time with a disappointed look on his face. Frank holds out his arms while giving Gagne a puzzled look. Gagne: (laughing and shaking his head) I gave the AWA two weeks to find a suitable opponent and all they could come up with is Bobby Blaze? (laughs again) Bobby Blaze? Really? Bobby Blaze? (shakes his head) So be it. I guess we'll just look at this as an exhibition to showcase the Ace's talents. I feel for you Bobby Boy. You're about to be embarrassed at the biggest AWA event in history. However, you can hold your head high knowing you lost to the greatest wrestling technician in the history of wrestling. We're done. Gagne leaves. Andersson bumps Nelson's shoulder as he exits. Commercial Break We see Maxx Payne playing his guitar in a dark room. He stops Payne: At WrestleRock, Norma Jean and I are going to deliver some very bad news. Maxx gives an evil smirk and starts playing taps. Nelson: Fans, with me now is the AWA commissioner Magnum TA Magnum: Thank you Larry. I've said this countless times but WrestleRock is where grudges will be settled. After what's been going down with Don Muraco and Tommy Rich, I've signed them to go at it in a street fight. Cheers as The Magnificent Muraco comes out Muraco: Thank you so much brothu! You hear that Tommy Rich! That means I can do anything I want to you! Oh and Tully Blanchard, that means the same for you too! At WrestleRock, I'm taking out two dirty birds with one stone! Commercial Break AWA TV Champ Gama Singh and The Rock n Roll RPMs vs. Iceman Parsons and TCB w/Jackie This one's a wild one. There's a lot of animosity in the ring and tempers flare several times during the seesaw match. RPMs and TCB have furious exchanges while Parsons does his best to avoid Gama. After minutes of hard hitting action a pier six brawl escalates. The RPMs and TCB are fighting all over the place. Gama unloads on Parsons and puts him down with a top rope missile dropkick but the Ref is occupied with the RPMs and TCB. Jackie gets in the ring and nails Gama's head with Parson's scepter! Parsons rolls over and covers as Jackie yells at the Ref. The Ref runs over and counts 1..2..3! BOOOOOOOO! Commercial Break Nelson: Fans, stay tuned for our WrestleRock report after the show. I understand both official cards will be announced. Ok, joining me now is the man who will wrestle for the AWA world title at WrestleRock, Carlos Colon. The fans pop as Colon walks out wearing a suit. Nelson: Carlos, I know you spent a lot of time training in Puerto Rico and I have to say you look to be in the best shape of your life. BOOOOOOs as Adnan Al Kassie comes out Adnan: Carlos Colon! You have no idea of what you're dealing with! You really think training in your homeland is the same as preparing for Kokina? You've awaken a beast and he wants your blood! WHAM! From behind, Kokina headbutts Colon! Kokina grabs Colon by his head and headbutts him again! Kokina keeps his vice grip on Colon and headbutts him again! Colon is busted open. Kokina swings Colon into the steel post! Security and officials swarm the scene. The last image we see is a bloody and fallen Carlos Colon.
  15. It's all about the Clash tonight Hall has definitely earned his shot but it might be bad timing because Sting's red hot right now I can't wait to see who Steamboat brings in Zbyszko and Pillman will deliver The International York Foundation was a brilliant idea. Looking forward to Tenryu's International title bout Dustin's a good match up with Hennig. I'm hoping this is more than a one off Anvil will be a big test for Taker but those were some ominous words from Paul Bearer We've been waiting for it and soon the 3 powerhouse teams will collide for all the marbles Lex and Sid have the ultimate stare down
  16. This is bigger than who shot JR! I'll be tuning in to hear Tunney's bombshell announcement
  17. AWA Friday July 17th-Hiram Bithorn Stadium, San Juan Puerto Rico Saturday July 18th-The Metrodome, Minneapolis MN Live on pay per view AWA Commissioner Magnum TA is sitting in his office with a WrestleRock poster in the background Magnum: Welcome to the WrestleRock report. Now, what would WrestleRock be without some special guests. As you already know, the legendary Jose Feliciano will be performing a special concert after Night 1's show in Puerto Rico. Boxing sensation Hector 'Macho' Comacho will make a special appearance during the show. And the lovely Maria Conchita Alonso will kick things off by singing the Puerto Rican National Anthem, La Borinquena. On Night 2, in the Metrodome, the sensational Gladys Knight will get things going with America the Beautiful. Mr. T will be our very special color commentator for the main event. And none other than arena rock favorites, Foreigner will perform after the matches. All these incredible talents will help this year's WrestleRock go down in history. Magnum lets that sink in. Magnum: Ok, first up on the agenda is the tag team division and all the grudges going on. Already signed are Latin Desire vs. The Tribal Nation as well as Rampage vs. Los Boricuas. TCB and the RPMs have been fighting to inconclusive results, so at WrestleRock they will settle things in a tornado match! The British Bombers and Guerreros have been trading wins all over the loop, so I've decided to let them go all out in a 30 minute iron man match. The team with the most falls in 30 minutes will be declared the winners. Hopefully these matches will settle things once and for all. Magnum takes a drink of water. Magnum: WrestleRock has some tremendous matches and right now we're going to hear from some of our larger than life competitors. Ultimate Warrior: The destination is now known! WrestleRock will be the place where two elite Warriors meet in battle. Kerry Von Erich! You've accepted the challenge because you are indeed a true warrior. I respect that! However, my quest to become the one true Ultimate Warrior can only end in ultimate victory. Then and only then will I become the one and only Ultimate Warrior! Kerry Von Erich! We will battle until one man remains and I must come out victorious! There is no other way. At WrestleRock, I will stand tall as the Ultimate Warriorrrrrrrrrr! Von Erich: Everybody knows when I accept a challenge, I can back it up. Ultimate Warrior, I respect your quest to become the one and true warrior in the AWA and I respect that you challenged me man to man. But...you're getting way ahead of yourself when you say you will emerge victorious and become the Ultimate Warrior. You're going to battle against the Modern Day Warrior! We will fight, we will bleed and it will be a battle of epic proportions. When the smoke clears and the dust rises, Kerry Von Erich will be the one standing tall in victory. The Modern Day Warrior! Gerry Morrow and Brenda Britton are sitting at a private table in an exclusive restaurant. There are a couple bottles of champagne in front of them. Britton: Hi everybody! As you can see, we're having an early celebration and it's well deserved. Tell them Gerry. Morrow: Hahahahahaha! Dat is correct Brenda. We are celebrating de demise of Hulkamania. Mr. Hogan, you are a very delusional man. What does it take to knock common sense into your head. De rumors are running rampant dat WrestleRock will be your last match in de AWA. But you and I know de truth. You are running scared of de champagne man. Which is why I offered you a chance to save humiliation and leave de AWA without any shame. You chose to be difficult and brought in desperate muscle to help. A true act of cowardice. Dat will not save you. Mr. Hogan, trust me when I say, you are not going to make it to WrestleRock. We will not fight in a cage and you will let all your little Hulkamaniacs down. That will all be on your head. You had your chance and made a foolish choice. Now, as a man of class, I am giving you fair warning. Your demise is coming and it will happen before WrestleRock. Morrow and Britton raise their glasses and toast to the end of Hulk Hogan and Hulkamania. Hulk Hogan is standing inside a steel cage and shaking the fence. Hogan: All my supporting Hulkamaniacs have made me feel born again brother! I've been beaten and worn, shattered and torn by Gerry Morrow and his goons. In every situation, Morrow seems to have something in that dirty bag of tricks. But the Hulkamaniacs said wake up Hulkster and summons all your energy! They said for years it's been about the training, prayers, vitamins and believing in yourself. They said we believe in you Hulk and don't let us down inside the cage. How can we go on if Morrow rules in the cage. So, that's why when I get into this cage with Morrow (shakes the cage) I'm going to ram his body and ram his head into this cage over and over again until Hulkamania rids the AWA of that no good Gerry Morrow forever! Hogan shakes the cage with all his rage. Full cards at both venues will be announced next week
  18. The Destruction Crew had everything going for them tonight until Bullet Bob had enough. Michaels getting that superkick win must've gotten a pop for the ages. After all he went through, at least Jarrett is a champion. Who were those masked men in makeshift masks? Obviously they have an ax to grind with the Southern Boys I would definitely buy a ticket for a Gordy/Orndorff rematch If SMW is looking to expand, this is the way to do it
  19. Taz made a great career move coming to PCW. Martel's really getting into his heel persona Eddie's determined to get some gold Griz flattens a game Guido I have to say, I can't help but root for Stevie Oh man, tensions are tense between Martel and Windham. Add in the Gunns and Dudley's and there will be an explosion soon. One way or another, Condrey and Sarge will have to settle this. I can see Sarge wanting a bootcamp match Portland I'm interested in seeing what's next for Iron and Steel after their impressive title reign Douglas is on the comeback trail Hart gets the win but his war with Adams is far from over I've got to give it up for Rose, he still has it Busick-Spinebuster Slam-Another title defense Damn, I would've gotten my money's worth watching Kawada and Williams wrestle for the title Eugene Thrillaz get the night going on an exciting note Blackman really needed that win Never get overconfident with PCO Satisfying win for Sandman Kid's proving he's the real deal This might be RVD's biggest title defense. Defeating the submission champ is a huge confidence booster I really enjoyed this week's match ups.

Nelson: Ted Arcidi, at WrestleRock, your man Scott Norton will face the Missouri Tiger. I... Arcidi: (yelling) I knew the Missouri Tiger was dumb but I didn't think he was stupid. My man Flash put his arm down in a flash and then put that meathead through a table. I guess Meathead hasn't learned. Norton: (yelling also) Meathead! At WrestleRock, I'm going to slam you through the mat and bury you for good! Arcidi and Norton continue with boisterous laughs as Nelson slowly backs away Commercial Break 'The Maverick' Gary Young vs. 'Superstar' Bill Dundee w/Austin Idol The bell rings. Austin is having words with Gary. Dundee clips Gary's knee from behind. Austin calmly exits the ring. Dundee works over Gary. He slams him by the ropes, grabs the top rope and drops several knees down on Gary's leg. Dundee hoists Young up and delivers a shin buster. Dundee struts around then clamps on the figure four. Austin's yelling at Gary to give up. Young fights it and is able to get to the ropes. Dundee's pissed. He chokes Young, picks him up and swings him into the corner. Dundee charges in with a high knee but Young moves. The fans cheer Young on. Young limps around and shakes his fists. Young goes to town on Dundee in the corner with punches, kicks and stomps. Young hip tosses Dundee across the ring. Dundee staggers up as Young puts him down with a clothesline. Young picks up Dundee and sets him up for a DDT WHAM! Austin nails Young from behind. The Ref signals for the DQ. Austin starts stomping on Young. Dundee staggers up and joins in. They double team Young. Hold on! JW STORM hits the ring! Dundee and Austin turn around as Storm takes them both down with a sphere! Austin and Dundee roll out of the ring and fall to the ground. JW helps Young up. The fans cheer as JW and Young embrace. Commercial Break Footage from last week's event at the Mecca is shown. Ron Garvin and Dick Slater fight to a wild double c.o. El Canek and Mil Mascaras win the tag team battle royal to get a title shot at WrestleRock. The celebration is short lived because the Heavenly Bodies hit them from behind with their title belts. Nelson: Ok fans, the AWA dual champions, the Heavenly Bodies were supposed to be here tonight but I understand they're going to be appearing on a local talk show. I've also been told they have more talk show bookings and just can't commit to showing up here (rolls his eyes) I think they better get focused on their WrestleRock challengers, Canek and Mascaras. Speaking of WrestleRock and what went down at the Mecca, let's take you to a special announcement from Commissioner Magnum TA Magnum's standing in front of a WrestleRock banner. Magnum: It was obvious that nothing was solved between Ron Garvin and Dick Slater at the Mecca. It's also very obvious that these guys want to fight it out and they will. Al superkicks Rooney into a bridging back suplex by Lou for the pin. Nelson: Ok guys, it seems the Tribal Nation have had somewhat of a rebirth and I know you two will be facing them at WrestleRock. Lou: Rebirth or not, at WrestleRock, the Tribal Nation are going to find out what Latin heat is all about! Al: The Perez family always gets payback! Commercial Break Tommy 'Wildfire' Rich w/Tully Blanchard vs. Harold Bannister Rich and Tully find something humorous because they have their backs turned to Bannister and are having quite a laugh. The fans are up and cheering as the Magnificent Muraco gets in the ring with a chair! Bannister gets out of there. Rich turns around as Muraco nails him with the chair! Tully tries to run but Muraco sends him through the ropes with a chair shot to the back! Muraco swings the chair around as the fans go nuts! Muraco's back! Commercial Break 'Maniac' Matt Borne vs. Dave Dawson Borne returns to the AWA. He comes to the ring with jean shorts and an axhandle. He roughs his opponent up and wins the match with the Northern Exposure. Nelson: Good to see Matt Borne back here in the AWA. With me now is Sam Houston. Sam, I understand you have an open contract for WrestleRock. Sam: It's right here in my hand. For weeks I've made it clear that I want to give somebody a whipping and WrestleRock but nobody has stepped up. I mean what does somebody need to do to get some competition around here. What a bunch of cowards.. Matt Borne walks over. Borne: You want a match? I'll give you a match. Borne snatches the contract out of Sam's hand and signs it. Borne tosses the contract at Sam and leaves. Nelson: Ok, there you go Sam Houston. You got your wish. Sam's a bit flustered. Sam: (getting his thoughts together) Yea, finally. I'm going to show that lumberjack wannabe how a cowboy gets the job done. Commercial Break 'The Love Machine' Art Barr w/The Vin Man vs. Bob Bernardi Barr looks incredible tonight and easily wins the match with a frog splash from the top rope. Vinnie's jumping up and down celebrating with Barr until they look up the aisle and notice the Cobra scouting. Those two will meet at WrestleRock. Commercial Break Nelson: Fans, at WrestleRock, Leo Burke and Konnan will wrestle for the AWA International title. Each had a special sit down interview and will be shown here next week. Ax and Smash w/Crush vs. Jumbo Tsuruta and Mr. Saito w/Shinya Hashimoto This one's a no contest right off the bat. Crush and Hashimoto get involved fast and we get a wild pier six brawl. Cameras roll for a while as the action spills all over the place. Guys are fighting in the ring, outside the ring, up and down the aisle and even into the crowd. This is just a sample of what's to come at WrestleRock when the 6-Man titles are on the line. 21. Loved that promo from Holiday on the beach. I was laughing all the way through it. Hammerstone's background shenanigans were hilarious. So well done Great moment for the Andersons. Another cool promo from the NWA woman's champ La Princessa. This piece already puts her gimmick over Shocking appearance from the NWA world champ Silas Mason as the Southern Six stand full strength. Great show. The promos were incredible
  22. AWA Highlights from the Mecca card in Milwaukee 6-6-91 Dick Slater and Ron Garvin gave the fans a true slugfest. The fists never stopped flying as they engaged in some stiff and brutal exchanges. They ended up brawling outside to a double c.o. They kept swinging after the bell. Officials came out to break it up. They finally stopped fighting but were staring daggers at each other before walking their separate ways. The Guerreros, British Bombers, El Canek and Mil Mascaras, The RPMs, TCB, Rampage and Los Boricuas battled it out in a tag team battle royal for an AWA world tag team title shot at WrestleRock. The AWA dual champs, the Heavenly Bodies were seated at ringside with both sets of titles. It was clear that personal grudges were too much to overcome. El Canek and Mil Mascaras took full advantage of this. While Rampage and Los Boricuas were tangled up with each other, Canek and Mascaras dumped them all over the top rope. The RPMs and TCB all went over the top rope fighting each other. The Bombers and Guerreros continued their rivalry. As they were fighting on the ropes, Canek and Mascaras double dropkicked the Guerreros into the Bombers which sent both teams over. El Canek and Mil Mascaras win the battle royal! As Canek and Mascaras celebrate, the Heavenly Bodies hit the ring and nail them on the back of their heads with the titles! The Heavenly Bodies pick up the other set of titles. The Heavenly Bodies laugh and wave off their future challengers before exiting.
  23. I'm loving all the craziness surrounding the world title. I have absolutely no idea what's going to happen at SNME. Then you've got Arnold coming in. Things will get insane! I'm glad to see P&G get a title run. I always loved this team. I like how you're using JYD at this point in his career. He's a former huge star and still has a lot of value. Putting him in the tag title picture is a great fit for him and it also gives Warlord that babyface rub. Awesome job with the match announcement visuals. These add so much color to the storytelling.
  24. Lee and the OWC go back to the triangle formula but not sure calling out Savage and Williams is the right thing to do. Liger and PCO bounce back quickly I'm really looking forward to Savage's PCW run. Martel's getting into his new heel persona Severn looks to tame the beast inside The Thrillseekers eke out another hard fought win over the hungry Headbangers. This shows how competitive the tag division in PCW is. Vancouver Morley's living up to his moniker Bigelow racks up yet another big win I can't get enough of Slaughter/Condrey. These guys can bring it If the Spinebuster Slam don't get you, the Bully Breaker will Midnight's are off to another great start of another title run Hart still deserves another shot but Bigelow may have found a way in for one of his own. I'm up for a Kawada/Bigelow series. Kelowna Eddie's brainbuster/Frog Splash combo is such a great finishing sequence Pipe puts Hollywood Jack to sleep Windham's another guy I would love to see go up against Kawada Under Piper's tutelage, Candido has been reborn My guys the FOJ's second reign is off and running New LHW champ Lightning Kid closes out the weekend on a high note.

Nelson: Carlos, you get your golden opportunity at WrestleRock. After last week in Puerto Rico, I have no doubt that you're ready. Colon: I've been waiting my whole career for a chance to wrestle for the world title in front of my people. I have that opportunity and you can bet I've never been more prepared in my life. I'll be going back to Puerto Rico for a couple weeks to train harder than ever. At WrestleRock, I'm coming for the world title and I plan on winning it! We see Kokina standing in front of a WrestleRock banner. The world title is on his shoulder. Adnan has the mic. Adnan: Carlos Colon! You may think you have the upper hand but the only thing you did was upset the monster Kokina! Everybody will see Kokina's wrath when he wrestles 3 men next week on TV. Watch closely Colon! Watch very closely. See what destruction lies ahead of you at WrestleRock! Commercial Break Nelson: Fans, joining me now is Greg Gagne. Gagne: You know, I'm in such a great mood that not even an unenthusiastic nerd like you Larry can spoil it. This is the moment the wrestling world has been waiting for. After months of diligent scouting and searching, I've found my ace wrestler. This man is no ordinary wrestler. This man is a wrestling champion, a wrestling machine, a textbook technician. It is my honor and privilege to introduce to you, all the way from Sweden...The Ace, Frank Andersson! Sweden's National Anthem plays as Frank walks out wearing an Athletic Swedish sweatsuit. Frank's wearing several medals around his neck. He has a combination of confidence and arrogance. He shakes hands with Gagne and snubs Nelson. Gagne: Ace, this truly is a historic moment for me and the entire wrestling world. All those medals represent all of this man's tremendous wrestling accomplishments. Nobody and I mean nobody can outwrestle the Ace. Nelson: Those medals are very impressive indeed. When will we see your ace in the ring? Gagne: (laughs) Are you kidding me? These people will have to pay to watch his debut. I'll give the AWA 2 weeks to find a suitable opponent for my ace and then he will make his glorious debut at WrestleRock. Gagne pulls out a camera. Gagne: Make yourself useful Larry and take a picture of Ace and I. Nelson rolls his eyes. Andersson gives him a glare, so Nelson takes the picture. Gagne: All the wrestling magazines will want this photo on their covers. Thanks nerd. We'll see all of you at WrestleRock. That is if somebody has the guts to face the Ace. Commercial Break Sam Houston vs. Todd Rooney Sam's all over his opponent and easily wins the match with a running bulldog. Sam cuts a promo and says he's ready to give anybody a bunkhouse style whipping at WrestleRock! Commercial Break We get a segment about the card in Milwaukee's Mecca tomorrow night. Footage will be shown next week. Ron Garvin takes on Dick Slater. Also, the big tag team battle royal with the winners getting a world tag shot at WrestleRock. Speaking of the world tag team titles. AWA world champs, the Heavenly Bodies have been seen at many different nightclubs in the V.I.P. sections. They've actually been seen at these clubs with both sets of titles and heard bragging about being dual champions. The Hangman w/Nell vs. Trent Watkins Hangman completely destroys his opponent and finishes things off with the Hangman's neckbreaker. Nell gives Hangman a signal. Hangman lifts his fallen opponent up and drops him with the devastating Heart Punch! Nell cuts a promo as Watkins is being carried out on a stretcher. Nell: Poor Bossman. We have received word that you and the Hangman will cross paths again at WrestleRock. Last week you got just a taste of what the Hangman is capable of. You see that poor soul being stretched out. Take a good hard look Bossman. That's your future. Hangman threatens Nelson with the noose which sends Nelson running. Commercial Break Nelson: I'm here with Austin Idol, now manager of Superstar Bill Dundee. Before Idol can talk, Gary Young walks out. Young: Austin, what's this all about? I trusted you and you abandoned me and also my partners. You let me down Austin. Idol: Gary, darling, I've always liked you but this is a harsh business. I gave you the opportunity of a lifetime but your head was in the clouds. You dropped the ball and most of all you embarrassed me. And darling, you have some serious abandonment issues. I've found someone who wont cave under pressure. Dundee: (smirking and shaking his head) Damn Idol, this is the guy you were praising a while ago? Pathetic. Kid, take a walk and get some therapy. You're not cut out for this business. Young: This is between Austin and me but maybe I can show you just how cut out for this business I am and what a huge mistake Austin made. How about you and I have a match right here, next week? Idol: Oh Gary, just let it go Dundee: Hold on Austin. I would be more than happy to give this punk a wrestling lesson and show him just how hard this business can be. You got a match kid but you're the one who's making a mistake. Before the commercial, Nelson hypes up the WrestleRock match for the AWA International title bout between Konnan and Leo Burke. He says both Konnan and Burke will each have a special sit down interview. Burke's will take place next week. Crush: We said we came here looking for a fight and Hogan offered us one and we accepted! Smash: They like beating people up when the odds are in their favor but the odds are never in your favor when you have to fight Demolition! Ax: We're the champs but we issued the challenge! Now let's see how tough they really are! Commercial Break We go inside a luxury hotel suite. Gerry Morrow is sitting there with Jumbo Tsuruta, Mr. Saito, Shinya Hashimoto and Brenda Britton. All of them are wearing suits. Brenda's in a dress. Morrow: AHHHHHHH Mr. Hogan has put a twist into our saga. I admit, you might have caught us off guard last week but I assure you, we have quickly adjusted and have adapted. My clients here are fearless. De Demolition can't handle what's in store for them at WrestleRock. Mr. Hogan is a foolish man but Demolition are just plain stupid for meddling in our business. De only thing dat will happen is Demolition will be demolished (laughs) at WrestleRock and you will be looking at de new AWA six man champions. Now, as for dat coward Hulk Hogan. Do you really think bringing in muscle will help you at all? (laughs) of course it won't! I gave you a chance Mr. Hogan and now you are de only one to blame when you leave all your fans mourning de death of Hulkamania. I'm telling you right now Mr. Hogan, you will not make it to WrestleRock. I can guarantee dat. We then go to a gym where we see Hulk Hogan pumping iron like a madman. He stops. Hogan: Each rep I do, I can still feel the soreness from the beating that no good snake Morrow and his goons gave me. But Hulk Hogan found a way to even the odds brother. My brothers Demolition have my back and now it's just you and me Morrow! Each night I dream of what I'm going to do to you inside the cage at WrestleRock. I'm counting down the minutes. Gerry Morrow! I'm going to make you suffer and pay for all the sins you committed against HulkaMania. So, at WrestleRock, inside the steel cage, with nowhere to run or nowhere to hide, whatcha gonna do when the power of all my Hulkamaniacs and Hulkamania run wild on youuuuuuuuuuuuuu! Commercial Break Maxx Payne vs. Ray Glader Payne basically tortures his opponent and makes him suffer more as he clamps on the Payne Killer for the submission win. Payne goes to ringside and starts jamming on his guitar as Nelson tries to get a word with him. AWA Commissioner Magnum TA comes out and Payne slows down and stops. Magnum: I'll be honest with you Maxx Payne. After what you did last week to Bad News Brown, it's obvious you didn't learn anything from your suspension. I wanted to fire you. However, I talked with Bad News Brown and he demanded a match with you. I'm going to give it to him. You'll be facing him at WrestleRock! Magnum leaves. A grin comes over Maxx's face. He starts playing TAPS on his guitar. Nelson gets creeped out. Commercial Break Larry Nelson is standing in the ring. Nelson: Fans, this is a moment we've been anticipating for a while. Coming out now...THE ULTIMATE WARRIOR! The powerful guitar riff hits. The fans go nuts as the Warrior sprints to the ring. He gets inside and shakes the ropes. He paces around with an intense look. He gets the mic from Nelson. Warrior: Talk to me Warriors! Big pop Warrior: I have arrived! The Warrior is here on a quest and that quest begins right now! I must summons another warrior. Kerry Von Erich! I extend an invitation for you to join me in this ring. Stand here with me Kerry Von Erich! The fans are waiting anxiously. Rush's Tom Sawyer plays and the fans go wild. Kerry comes out and walks to the ring with intensity of his own. He steps through the ropes. Warrior and Kerry stand face to face. Warrior: Kerry Von Erich! I have watched you conquer and win numerous battles here in the AWA. I have watched you overcome all adversity and emerge victorious in your wars. You truly are a modern day warrior! Warrior respectfully bows to Kerry Warrior: As I stood over a mountain top, voices of past Warriors spoke to me. In order for me to be the Ultimate Warrior, I must face only the greatest warriors. Kerry Von Erich, I issue a challenge to you. There is no other way. For me to become the true Ultimate Warrior I must defeat the Modern Day Warrior in battle. Do you accept this challenge? The fans are stunned and wait for the response. Kerry: (looks around at the fans) The past year, I've been bloodied, beaten up, battered and bruised. However, in the end, I've always won the war. A true modern day warrior fights. I've never backed down from a challenge and these people know that. (CHEERS) So, Ultimate Warrior, I accept your challenge! (HUGE POP) Man to Man! Warrior: Warrior to Warrior! We will battle until one remains. The way it has always been meant to be. Warrior extends his hand. Kerry shakes it. They grip hard and pull each other into an epic stare down.
