Loss Posted May 8, 2005 Report Posted May 8, 2005 Vote for the wrestler that you think had the better career in WWE (whether you base that on impact or match quality is your decision), from 1985 to 2005. Voting will end tomorrow evening at the latest. Please give the wrestler's name first and any explanation thereafter. Thanks.
goodhelmet Posted May 8, 2005 Report Posted May 8, 2005 Owen Hart Hell, the whole Backlund-Bret feud was a backdrop to the Owen-Bret feud. If this was from 1980 on, I would give it to Backlund... but it isn't.
Loss Posted May 8, 2005 Author Report Posted May 8, 2005 Owen Hart I think I'd pick Owen here regardless of the time frame, just because I love the Bret feud so much, but if there was no limit on the time frame, this would be a very tough decision. Owen also had good matches with Michaels, Austin, Vader, 1-2-3 Kid, HHH and Davey Boy.
Coffey Posted May 8, 2005 Report Posted May 8, 2005 Bob Backund I'm sticking with Mr. Bob Backlund, damnit! I liked his run the second time around when he was slapping random people in the Crossface Chickenwing. Owen's best moment was getting clowned on by Jason Sensation and getting Bret's mom to throw in the towel on Bret in the submission match with Backlund. HAH!
Guest Hunter's Torn Quad Posted May 8, 2005 Report Posted May 8, 2005 Owen Hart The period of voting works against Backlund.
Guest teke184 Posted May 8, 2005 Report Posted May 8, 2005 Owen Hart Bob's post-1985 career only had one high-point and Owen was HEAVILY involved in getting that over at Survivor Series 1994.
