  1. Today's Observer Update Some notes from some of the new uploads on the WWE Network. The new Ted DiBiase vs. Brad Armstrong match listed as December 18, 1985 is actually January 16, 1985. The Rick Martel vs. Billy Robinson match listed as October 18, 1984 is actually May 19, 1983 and is not a title match. Other new matches put up are Lou Thesz vs. Bill Longson for the NWA title from Texas, Rene Goulet & Karl Gotch vs. The Russians, Danny Hodge & Jos LeDuc vs. Pak Song & Toru Tanaka from Floirda, and Nobuhiko Takada vs. Athol Foley from Calgary. We talked about the Gotch & Goulet match on WOL today. This is not from Madison Square Garden, where The Masked Russians, who were actually Pedro Godoy & Juan Sebastian, very much now Russian, were not allowed to wear masks because the commission didn't allow masked wrestlers at the time. This is a match they are saying is from MSG but was actually from the Boston Gardens, so they were under masks as Russians. The match is from January 22, 1971, not the date WWE lists or the place. (thanks to Paul Sosnowski)
  2. Yea, I dunno. We're gonna need a MSG expert for that one
  3. The youtube version of Martel and Robinson is actually 3 minutes longer, 19:57 I actually posted both 3/24 and 5/19 on the site a few months ago in the 1983 matches folder
  4. The one thing I noticed is that 3/24/83 is listed as a draw, and that is not the result for this match
  5. Available on the Network, Vault, WWE Hidden Gems, 1983. "Japanese Pride, August 12, 1983"
  6. Karl Gotch & Rene Goulet defend the WWWF Tag Team Titles against The Russians (Igor & Ivan) in a 2 out of 3 falls match. Available on the Network, Vault, Hidden Gems, 1972. "The Great Gotch, January 31, 1972"
  7. Alright, Khawk, I give up. What's the date and location of the Martel match? Martel is not champion at the time. Is it 3/24/83? Robinson is managed by Lord Alfred. Is this new footage?
  8. This is not new footage. Previously aired on WWE Classics on Demand. Now available on the Network, Vault, Hidden Gems, 1952. "Legendary Lou, June 17, 1952. Talk about it here
  9. Originally aired 8/24/85 WWF on Prism Network in Philadelphia, not currently available anywhere else
  10. I don't think that is the correct date on the Martel-Robinson match. Robinson fought Tony Atlas in Winnipeg on that day. Maybe it's actually 11/22/84 from St Paul
  11. What match is this? I didn't think the feud started until 1982
  12. PAC just returned this morning at Dragon Gate!!!! Msybe Shingo will be the new LIJ member?
  13. My god, I'm wondering how much footage from the Omni they have. Between today's DiBiase match, and the Magnum & Savage tag from a few months ago....they've got some great quality unseen footage from there as well.
  14. From the Omni in Atlanta. Available on the Network, Collections, Million Dollar Man Priceless "Wrestling Heritage"
  15. The Young Bucks defend the IWGP Tag Team Titles against Tama Tonga & Tanga Loa. Talk about it here
  16. Semifinals of the IWGP Junior Title Tournament. Talk about it here

  18. I just saw that list. It has the 12/3/84 title change against the Rock & Roll Express. They aired less than 2 minutes of this on TV, does it exist in any other form?
  19. Does anybody have results for the 8/11/78 show with Dusty vs Brody 2/3 falls match? Brody is American Heavyweight Champion, but this is a nontitle match. Boesch says on commentary that Brody will defend next week against Fritz von Erich, but I can't find a record of that either
