  1. The date for this is May 25, 1985
  2. I think this is actually the match from May 28, 1980. AJPW Super Power Series 1980 - Tag 5 28.05.1980 All Japan Pro Wrestling Event Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan Nakajima Sports Center ca. 6.300 NWA World Heavyweight Title Two Out Of Three Falls Match Harley Race © vs. Jumbo Tsuruta - Draw [1:1] (60:00) - Tsuruta besiegt Race (30:05) - Race besiegt Tsuruta (47:15) - Das Zeitlimit läuft aus (60:00)
  3. Yea....there were two cage matches. March 22, 1985 was in Houston and was a Coal Miner's Glove Cage Match (NWA On Demand). The more famous match with the tuxedos was March 30th in New Orleans
  4. I know this was filmed for Japan TV, but this match actually took place on October 28, 1986
  5. I just watched it with my dad. It was FN great. Definitely annoyed by the missing 4:07 of the first fall that was clipped. Could be the best Terry Funk match I have ever seen. Race takes first fall 28:46 Funk takes second fall 3:10 Race wins third fall 7:39 Total Match Time 39:35
  6. Wow, yours is the first evidence that there actually was a card on February 10th. But here's something to think about. Why would a 2/10/78 match end in 3 straight pinfalls, and then the March and May shows go to a draw and DQ, leading to a cage? Clawmaster's archives show no record of a Race or Wahoo match on that date in 2 separate archives. 7. Ric Flair vs Butch Reed is from Houston on 10/11/85, not August 11th. They went to a 60 minute draw on August 10th in the New Orleans Superdome.

  11. Phil, I got this email yesterday from NWA On Demand about that match: Thank you for the emails. We appreciate your interest! You may indeed be right about the date of the Wahoo-Race match. We primarily rely on Paul Boesch’s original program sheets, although mistakes do happen. We'll take another look at this first chance we get. Thanks again, and enjoy the matches!
