  1. You already got your benefit from from sticking it out and not passing. You picked everyone on the list that you wanted and left the rest, they shouldn't have to go unused though. I mean I would have taken Rick Link if you didn't, no need for a completely acceptable fat guy wrestler to go unused.
  2. You don't even want those guys, what do you care? They are totally left over at this point. Don't force them to be unemployed, desperately waiting for the phone to ring as they jump on their trampolines carrying very light weights.
  3. I would question your handling of the matter but seriously, that guy sucks. I guess he is one of those guys Dutch Mantell was talking about when he said in the territory days "if you were mildly proficient, you had a career"
  4. Also the wrong Igor Volkoff you are thinking of Lumberjack Pierre, Pierre Lafleur: http://wrestlingdata.com/index.php?befehl=bios&wrestler=1657 That guy is shitty low tier territory traveler Igor Volkoff, real name Nedelko Babic: http://wrestlingdata.com/index.php?befehl=bios&wrestler=10690
  5. Wrong Sonny Myers. That's Vancouver jobber (at least in 1983) Sonny Myers.
  6. Bubba Douglas was picked by dedhemingway
  7. lol @ Igor Volkoff being the only fake Russian left, even after Korchenko. Igor is pretty awful from what I saw though. He didn't merit a lot of watching to get crossed off the list.
  8. Joe Blanchard has asked me to inform Mr. Inoki that he would never disrespect the honorable head of New Japan Pro Wrestling or any of his Japanese talent the way that Mr. Vince McMahon Sr. has done. Joe, in his overly compassionate way, feels the pain of the disrespect that Mr. Inoki has suffered here.
  9. I have really gained a new respect for Charlie Platt after watching that video and the bit of Southeastern that I watched this morning. I was looking for something to watch on Boomer T. Lynch and happened to put in the DVD that has the very last episode of Southeastern on it. Watching Charlie sit at the desk and hype the big change over to Continental Wrestling and how the Continental show is going to be hosted by Gordon Solie was impressive to me. He really wanted to sell the change over and seemed to have no animosity or resentment about it being his last show as the host. I don't know how many wrestling announcers could sit there and hype the guy coming in who is putting them out of work
  10. It's not something to brag about and say I told you so but to me that seemed like it was the only thing it could be from the very start. Didn't know why they would try and keep any other injury a secret. It's very sad news though because it's not something he can get surgery & do physical therapy for. It's likely the end of his career.
  11. I am glad I pestered you into watching the RVD match. I didn't think you would see it as a great match but I thought you would enjoy it for how much energy the crowd had.
  12. I watched the build up to the 1983 Southwest "Undisputed World Title" tournament today with Lou Thesz & Terry Funk whoring themselves out to put over the importance of having one undisputed World Champion and now this tournament was going to do just that. I have big shoes to fill. That's some kind of grandstanding.
  13. JVK's refusal to allow Andre to appear inside said battle royal.
  14. I would like to get approval for a battle royal inside a ring filled with fish as seen here. It's a big money gimmick for me as an Andre appearance "Yea Andre is the king of battle royals but he's never been in one where the ring was filled with slippery fish! Be there at the Hemisfair Arena on Sunday night!"
  15. For somebody that retired in 1982 he sure worked quite a few matches after that Well his wikipedia page says he retired in 82 and it's the last matches I could find on wrestlingdata
  16. Johnny Powers was another one of those guys that was too big of a name for me to draft and not do anything important with. There was also the "I don't think he would have been a full time wrestler in July, 1983" thing that would have bothered me if I was trying to use him regularly.
  17. He actually retired in 1982 but I don't really care.
  18. Joe would like to re-iterate the reason for asking is not forgetfulness so much as rushing to throw out as many clerical documents as possible after the draft.
  19. Take the guy who teamed with masked Rip Oliver gimmick The Gestapo!
  20. Current Out Dates
  21. I am aware, wasn't really considering an every week thing as part of it but I guess I did put it for Mike Jackson so I'll add it for Apollo.
  22. Joe Blanchard & Southwest Championship Wrestling would like to make sure all their clerical matters are in order. If you have an agreed upon date for Southwest Championship Wrestling talent and do not see that date listed below please advise: Tully Blanchard:7 agreed dates with WWF, unscheduled dates for AWA Mr. Saito: scheduled to appear in WWC on 9/17 and in Montreal on 9/21 David Von Erich: Central Statles 7/4 Mike Jackson:Southeastern & Mid-South TV tapings Jim Duggan:WWC July 17th - August 8th El Gran Apollo: Every Wednesday July-Sep for WWF, WWC July 1-3, Central States 7/4 JCP, 7/16 Jose Lothario: JCP 7/16
  23. It's Rivera. There is only one i.
  24. You are killing me with the Riverias thing.
  25. He does not factor heavily into my plans. He's not a believable love interest of Sunshine so his ceiling is quite low in Southwest Championship Wrestling.
