  1. You do realize you are relying on a LOT of outside talent coming in with your threat to cancel all Andre dates right? I'm not even in the NWA. I wish you would not push this to such brinksmanship. I will now spend my morning furiously arguing with Mr. Joe Blanchard that Southwest should not leave the AWA to join the NWA simply so it can vote Jerry Lawler as World Champion.
  2. I think this actually the best case against Lawler as World Champion. I don't think he would have really wanted the NWA World Champion touring schedule.
  3. Southwest Championship Wrestling's official position on this matter as a satellite member of the AWA:
  4. Can Terry Funk be added to the freelancers for July & August? He doesn't retire until the end of August should he should still be available until then.
  5. If you grabbed a bunch of people after the draft, give me a list of who you have that isn't listed here.
  6. Joe Blanchard & Southwest Championship Wrestling are thrilled to announce that Fidel Sierra will be coming to SWCW due to a 6 month trade that that will see Tom Lintz & Mike Davis head to International Championship Wrestling in return. Anyone using the spreadsheet can note the change there, I will be updating the roster thread. Fidel Sierra (appearing in SWCW for 6 months on loan from ICW) Mike Davis (appearing in ICW for 6 months on loan from SWCW) Tom Lintz (appearing in ICW for 6 months on loan from SWCW)
  7. I did, I just happened to take them in later rounds. It's just too bad the timeline is wrong to give him a Jerry Seinfeld gimmick.
  8. Steve Pardee Steve Pardee is a youngster out of San Francisco, California. He has 4 years of experience in the wrestling business and his trip to Texas will be the first time that he has left the West Coast in his career, previously having worked for Pacific Northwest Wrestling, NWA Hollywood and the WWF on it's tours of California. He is a former Pacific Northwest Tag Team Champion with Brett Sawyer and is hoping to continue winning championships on the next stop of his career: Southwest Championship Wrestling!
  9. Well as to that...you do already have The Brisco Brothers under your sway...
  10. He bought that spot from Joe Blanchard. In this timeline that spot has already been traded.
  11. Low Ki is a just a true journeyman. He would have never been able to do his wrestling style in the territory days but he would have fit in better with the lifestyle of just about always having somewhere else to go work.
  12. Mike Masters Mike Masters is a young man who has been a bit of a journeyman in his short career. He has spent time working in Southeastern Championship Wrestling, the WWF, NWA Hollywood, New Japan Pro Wrestling, Pacific Northwest Wrestling, All Japan Pro Wrestling and now his journey has brought him to Texas and Southwest Championship Wrestling!
  13. Roy Lee Welch Roy Lee Welch comes from the famous Welch family of both promoters and wrestlers. He has spent his career wrestling around the Alabama area and is making his first trip to Texas. Roy Lee Welch is a former U.S. Junior Heavyweight Champion and is looking to use his speed and technical ability to win more gold and glory inside the rings of Southwest Championship Wrestling.
  14. Yes. Everyone but Mr. Tempest found a home.
  15. El Gran Apollo El Gran Apollo is just starting to make his mark in the wrestling business. He has made appearances before in Southwest Championship Wrestling to great delight of the fans and is currently one half of the WWC North American Tag Team Champions with King Tonga. He has also been an NWA Florida Television Champion. He came to the United States from Cuba to pursue his dream of becoming a professional wrestler and now he's looking to becoming one of the top names in the sport.
  16. I hope those poor sick kids aren't left hanging.
  17. You can have him. I did not want him to go unloved.
  18. In an effort to help introduce some of my new stars to the Southwest Championship Wrestling viewing area I will be posting profiles at totally random time intervals of wrestlers that may not be well known, but those of us at Southwest believe have great potential to excite fans of Southwest Championship Wrestling. The first profile will be on the former Pittsburgh Steeler Charlie Cook. Charlie has over 10 years of experience inside the squared circle and has won many regional titles around the Florida & Alabama areas. He brings a surprising amount of speed and agility to his wrestling game considering his 6'3, 250+ lb frame. Charlie Cook

I think rainmaker should have to be Greg. (Even though he's actually not in the AWA in this game)
  20. He was perfectly fine as an undercard babyface, in fact a really great undercard babyface. They just got stupid once he started getting huge reactions and I think HHH also felt a need to kill his great reactions for whatever reason. Let the goofy undercard babyface that gets inexplicably over make you some merchandise money, provide you a fun segment every week and then leave it the hell alone.
  21. Joe Blanchard has asked me to inform the honorable head of New Japan Pro Wrestling Mr. Inoki that if at some point after August 31st he were to feel that one of New Japan's young lions would benefit from an extended stay of 6-8 weeks in Southwest Championship Wrestling under the watchful eye of Mr. Saito, they would have a very welcome home in San Antonio. Joe would trust Mr. Inoki's judgment in this matter and accept anyone Mr. Inoki felt was a good fit with no questions asked and extreme gratitude.
  22. I laughed at the last post but I fear the road this is going down. This is a good board. Be good to the good board.
  23. If no one else wants poor Canadian jobber Sonny Myers, I shall take him. All Star scrubs have a home in San Antonio. And I don't know how many other people besides Dylan have ever seen him in a match. Plus I can make him & Randy Rich ride down in a car together from Vancouver and save on airfare and hotel costs because they can just drive in shifts.
  24. You need tag teams do you say? Well I have just the idea for you:
  25. Southwest Championship Wrestling as a satellite member of the AWA, and as a supporter of employing as many wrestler as possible in general principle, fully approves of your actions.
