Stick to NWA classics. Don't ruin your fun with those putrid shit. I'm actually inclined to say I like Makabe more because nothing The Nasty Boys ever did made me laugh as hard as that strike exchange where Makabe has about 10 punches that clearly go over Ishii's head. The "let's stand here and exchange 20 clotheslines" part also reminded me why I don't feel bad about not watching any of this stuff.
  3. I just watched Mark Reagan vs. Pat Rose (somebody had to!) and man Pat Rose was good. Reagan looked to be really green and not very good but Pat Rose gets a very nice little 6-7 minute undercard match out of him. Butch Reed vs. Dutch Mantel is a really good performance by both guys although it has one of the silliest looking ref bumps I've ever seen.

I was worried you might have given up. Well you've made it through 4 months now so in 17 more episodes you should be getting to the part where I think you might start enjoying it

I don't know shoe, for as much shit as people gave Makabe on twitter about his strikes and soup following that up by saying they were "legit some of the worst strikes I have ever seen" I almost feel compelled to watch now.

I don't watch New Japan but I'm going to check out the Makabe/Ishii match just so I can weigh in on Dylan's "My god look how bad Makabes strikes are. If you like Makabe and not the Nasty Boys just admit it's solely due to his employer." tweet.
  7. I am not sure if the Butch Reed vs. Kamala match is new, I remember watching a singles match between them a few years ago where Butch Reed has his face painted like he does here, but I think it was a different match. I definitely don't remember watching a match where Butch Reed has half of his name faded away off his tights, down to pretty much just Butch Reed left, because I would have remembered how distracting that is (it just makes me think about all my old wrestling action figures with beat up paint jobs)
  8. I just watched Kamala & Kareem Muhammed vs. Jim Duggan & Bill Watts. It was really nothing at all but it was a fun way to spend 5 minutes and the post match has a really funny fan moment. There is this big tall guy in the crowd who is waving this orange trucker hat at Duggan for a long time and finally the fan tosses the hat into the ring and Duggan puts it on. At which point this grown man starts going nuts high fiveing his buddy and celebrating.
  9. Oh, I also watched the 2 Ring Battle Royal last night. I was really wanting to come in here and pimp it last night but it wasn't that good. It was shot really well, probably the best job of shooting a 2 Ring Battle Royal I have ever seen. But it lacked any real drama at the end which left me feeling pretty disappointed with it.
  10. I actually thought "Chavo Classic" was a perfectly fun wrestling way of avoiding calling him a Sr.
  11. I have no idea if Landell/Ito vs. RNR Express was already available but it was a pretty fun little match. I really kind of liked Landell & Ito as a team.
  12. Just threw some stuff on youtube for you: Thanks! Let me know what you think about the one where Ronnie Garvin is hiding under a sheet with a midget on his shoulders lol
  13. I remember the story around the time of the Steamboat injury was that it was related to Ryback's clothesline, I didn't know it was actually a knee to the head from the 450. I'm surprised they didn't make Justin Gabriel stop doing that move. This was a great interview. I haven't listened to any other Flair podcasts, I might have to check out the Terry Funk one now.
  14. I don't even know what "Stampede proper" is. I don't have a great feel for what makes Stampede different except it was pretty much all JIP matches and they did a lot of post match interviews in the ring. You should just book it however you want, in the way that gives you the most satisfaction.
  15. I like this a lot. Digging the stuff with Mike Graham and his rather rag tag group of 2nd generation guys including a fake Bret(t) Hart. Also can't wait to find out who is "The Keymaster"
  16. I liked the confrontation between Dory & Jack Brisco, especially Jack making reference to the truck accident.
  17. I like your idea of making Paul Ellering the color commentator. I also appreciate your use of International title belts which through some fun wordplay of wrestling means slightly lesser than World.

This is good. I don't think you really need to worry about finding someone else to write it for you. You definitely nailed the Lance Russell & Dave Brown stuff.
  19. Good show. Bockwinkel vs. Bobby Eaton & David Von Erich are both matches I wish I could see.
  20. If you hover over the "July 2015 - Matches" button at the top of the page when you're viewing a video, it will give a drop down menu of all the matches that are up. Same thing with the Interviews button.
  21. Just watched Al Perez vs. Dick Murdoch and it was a fun little short match. I'm too tired to watch anything longer right now but the JYD, Duggan, Tito Santana vs. Butch Reed, Volkoff & Darsow 6 man tag is going to be the first thing I watch tomorrow.
  22. I didn't have a chance to listen to the podcast yet, do these matches stay up after July?
  23. One thing I don't like is the overdubbed new commentary. I wish there was an option to not have any commentary for those matches.
  24. I just signed up. I gave WWE my money for the Network launch hoping they would give me old footage and they have horribly disappointed me. I'd kill for them upload 50 matches from the 70s/80s out of their Vault every month but since they don't want to do that, I'll be happy to give someone else my money.
